00:00All right, welcome back.
00:01I'm just glad these Todd Munkin pressers.
00:04Seems like we've got something to look forward to.
00:06This is going to be some golden audio.
00:08I love Coach Todd Munkin so much.
00:10Preventing.
00:11It's time now for the C-Note.
00:14Cowboys news of the evening.
00:15Segments brought to you by the Frankels.
00:17Life is unpredictable.
00:19Defend them both.
00:20You've been injured in a car or truck wreck.
00:22Who knows he was wrong about that?
00:23Frankels first.
00:24214-817-333-3333.
00:27There's never an out-of-pocket cost.
00:28They only get paid when you win the Frankels.
00:29Why didn't we hire Shottie when we could have had Nathaniel Hackett and Todd Munkin?
00:33You've been pissed about it for a year.
00:34These freaking guys don't know what they're doing at the Star.
00:36Are the go-to car and truck wreck attorneys in Dallas.
00:39Sorry about that.
00:40All good points, gentlemen.
00:41I know Shottie would have had a face-to-face by now with Miles.
00:44Yeah, he would have flown all the way.
00:45He would have hopped on a bird, flown to Japan.
00:46Damn right.
00:47Shook his hand, took him out to dinner, washed his feet and his clothes.
00:50That's a true leader of men.
00:51Our coach, though, did have a chance, didn't?
00:53Wasn't our linebacker over there at one time?
00:56I mean, do you think he, his first year?
01:00Our guy, it's with the Packers.
01:05Parsons?
01:05Yeah.
01:06Worked with Todd Munkin?
01:07No, no, no.
01:08Miles Garrett?
01:08Did he go to Japan?
01:09Oh, the sumo wrestling thing.
01:10Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
01:12Do you think Shottie had a chance to talk to Parsons?
01:15Nobody asked him that question.
01:16Nobody asked him, so I guess we'll never know.
01:19I'd like to think that he was a leader of men.
01:21If not, he should be fired today.
01:23That's a lot of guys.
01:24You've got to check in with all of them?
01:25That sounds like a very busy job.
01:26You're with your best players, you do.
01:27I'll see you at the facility.
01:28You need to check in with them.
01:29I'm the head coach.
01:29You need to check in.
01:30Maybe a dozen or so of them.
01:32Half a dozen.
01:32Yeah, your leadership council.
01:34Your captains on your football team.
01:36The guy who just broke the sack record.
01:38You need me to call you and tell you that I'm a big fan of how you played, and I
01:42can't
01:42wait to get on the field with you.
01:45I mean, would you get hired at a radio station and your boss not talk to you?
01:49Uh, maybe.
01:50If you're in Japan all off-season long, has he been in Japan all off-season, Eric?
01:55Yeah, I have his itinerary right here.
01:57Do you have it in front of you?
01:58The day after the season, he left and he hasn't come back.
02:00He's still there right now?
02:01Yeah, because the food prices are so good.
02:03He's eating sushi top tier for like five bucks every day.
02:07And the 7-Elevens sound great, and Khloe Kim is Korean.
02:09She's not even Japanese.
02:10What the hell were you doing, Ryan?
02:11That's why I said I can't tell you anything about her origin story.
02:15You danced around that very well.
02:16I'll give you credit for that.
02:17She's Korean?
02:18And Todd Munkin, yeah, she's Korean.
02:19Her parents are.
02:20Okay.
02:21She was born in California.
02:22So I guess that's not her life.
02:23I knew she was California.
02:24I knew she was California.
02:25Hell of a snowboarder, right?
02:26Great snowboarder.
02:27Hell of a snowboarder.
02:27Yeah, I'm a gold medalist, baby.
02:29I don't know if she's Korean, but I know her parents are, bro.
02:31I think it's kind of messed up.
02:32He's in Japan, not Korea.
02:34All right, speaking of snow.
02:35She's cheating on her.
02:38Oh, no.
02:40It'd be a tough place to do it, I think.
02:42What is it?
02:42For a man of that size.
02:43You think?
02:44Okay, yeah.
02:44It'd be hard to find a compatible mate.
02:46I think I saw a really big football player with this.
02:50Okay, we go to Jerry Jones in the Yahoo Sports story with Jory Epstein.
02:57He was at the league meetings and was doing some press on Tuesday
03:03and was talking about the travel on the backside of these international games
03:07and says he is aligned with the league on their approach to this.
03:14And Jerry said the wear and tear is a lot less than a night out on the town.
03:20He said everybody ought to think about that.
03:23Stop.
03:24It isn't like they would be home in bed, resting up.
03:28He says part of being a player, part of being that age person,
03:31and part of being all that in shape they're in and what have you,
03:35is they're able to have a little extracurricular in many ways.
03:38He just said, my athletes are effable, okay?
03:42And you have to understand that.
03:44He says it could be a lot more damaging just walking down the block.
03:50So, yeah, what he's talking about is there's no extra rest consideration
03:55after these international games.
03:57And maybe last year teams were expecting, if I go to Ireland,
04:01I'm coming home with a bye, right?
04:02Or I'm coming home with maybe a Monday night game or something.
04:06And as the Cowboys and every other team that's got an international game
04:09on the schedule this year found out, they don't care.
04:12And for Jerry, I mean, I think Jerry makes a pretty good point.
04:15Like, sitting in the airplane, most of the guys are going out
04:18having a great time on their night off.
04:21And the player's night off is Monday or Tuesday?
04:23Generally, yeah, Tuesday is the official day off.
04:26Day off.
04:26So Monday night is a huge go-out night in the NFL.
04:30Like, if your favorite player is a go-out guy,
04:33he is hammered by 4 o'clock in the afternoon on Monday.
04:36Because it's his one day of the week where he can go big.
04:39Yeah.
04:40So I think Jerry's point is, if the NFLPA wants to make a big deal out of it,
04:45you know, I would say, is everything else in your life aligned with that?
04:51I need every possible moment of rest.
04:53And if it's not, I think you're kind of bitching to be bitching.
04:56I think that's what Jerry's saying here.
04:58And get used to it.
04:59You know, they're going to quadruple the amount of international games here
05:03over the next probably half a decade or so.
05:06And they're going to try to grow the game for international markets as much as possible.
05:11Mishota has some fun schedule news and notes items here in his piece in The Athletic.
05:16None of the Cowboys opponents had a bye week before playing the Cowboys coming up this year.
05:22That's perfect.
05:22That's great.
05:23Yes.
05:24There are probably only two games against quarterbacks who are better than Dak.
05:28Baltimore's Lamar Jackson and the Rams' Matthew Stafford.
05:32Jackson has been league MVP twice.
05:34Stafford has won the honor last season.
05:37The rest of the games are against quarterbacks.
05:39Prescott is clearly better than, or it is at least debatable.
05:43Any other quarterbacks on this sked that you think are clearly better than when Dakota Prescott?
05:50Clearly better?
05:52No.
05:54If Jaden Daniels was going back to his rookie year dominance,
05:59I would say that version of Jaden Daniels is probably clearly better.
06:03But I don't see that being the case,
06:06especially with the lack of weapons that the commanders have right now coming off the injury and everything like that.
06:10But, yeah, I think Lamar and Stafford, don't tell Bobby,
06:14but those two are definitely better.
06:16I'm with you.
06:18Stafford better than Prescott?
06:19Brian?
06:20I'd take him.
06:21Yes, sir.
06:22Even at this age?
06:23Yes, sir.
06:24You just want an MVP, Gavin.
06:25Come on.
06:26Had a hell of a season.
06:28I remember a time where Stafford had been in the league for a decade
06:30and he wasn't considered a top 15 quarterback.
06:33There was a time when Stafford was at Detroit
06:35and you started to compare quarterbacks,
06:38quarterbacks 10, 11, and 12.
06:40It seemed like it was Stafford, Dak, and Eli Manning
06:43were the names that people were kind of throwing around together.
06:46Yeah, you know, I think there's a number of guys on here
06:49that have had stretches where they would be considered consensus
06:53as better than Dak Prescott.
06:54C.J. Stroud, his rookie year, to the point about Daniels.
06:58Jordan Love has had some stretches.
06:59Jalen Hurts has had some stretches.
07:01And I just think playing with the Rams in that offense
07:05with that level of sophistication, I think Dak could do just as good.
07:08I think Dak might actually do better than Matt Stafford
07:11if he was put in that same situation.
07:13According to StubHub, the cheapest seat to watch the Cowboys play this season
07:17is $86 for the Week 11 game against Tennessee.
07:21See, that's at AT&T.
07:24It does not include standing room only.
07:25That's not standing room only.
07:26$86 for a game at AT&T.
07:28The most expensive game is Week 6 at Green Bay,
07:31and the cheapest seat to get in on that one is $484.
07:35I thought you were going to say something that's funny
07:37because I saw just a minute ago the get-in price to go watch the Cavs
07:43and the Knicks is at $1,200 now.
07:46Wow.
07:46Just the get-in price.
07:48There's like a tick-pick stat.
07:49Like you could go see games 3, 4, and 5 all in Cleveland
07:52for the same price as just to go tonight to Game 2 at MSG.
07:57That's wild.
07:58Okay.
07:59Austin Mock's win total projection for the Cowboys now at 9.5.
08:03A 58% chance of making the playoffs.
08:06Dallas would likely need at least 9 wins to make the playoffs.
08:08The DraftKings' win total projection actually increased after the schedule was released,
08:12going from 8.5 to 9.5.
08:15A full-game move on a team's win total right after the schedule released is unusual.
08:21Money came pouring in.
08:23Yeah.
08:24Yeah.
08:24You've got to move that thing.
08:26Otherwise, it's going to create quite a liability for you.
08:29How about Terrence Steele on working with BT Jordan?
08:32This is the Cowboys' one-on-one pass rush coach.
08:36Apparently, he's got some skills for the opposite.
08:39So he's probably trying to show him how he's going to get broken down
08:43other than guys putting his two hands in his chest
08:46and just running him to the quarterback.
08:48But, yeah, you go to a guy.
08:50That's what a lot of these offensive tackles.
08:53Didn't Micah Parsons again use Micah Parsons?
08:54Andrew Whitworth.
08:55Andrew Whitworth, yes.
08:56Andrew Whitworth.
08:57How do I, when I attack you,
08:58how do I have to look at what tackles are thinking about
09:01when they're blocking me?
09:03So that makes sense.
09:04Steele says, I loved it.
09:05You don't really hear that often.
09:07It was really cool to see that,
09:08and I definitely want to continue working with him
09:11and sharpening my skills.
09:13The story goes here on DallasCowboys.com.
09:16One of the additional things that Shottie has asked Jordan to do
09:19is show the offensive linemen pass rush moves
09:22that were designed against them,
09:24pointing out potential weaknesses or areas of their game
09:26that can be improved for right tackle Terrence Steele.
09:29That information is invaluable.
09:31It seems like this BT Jordan hire could be one of those
09:36that you're looking at like this is our Jeff Stoutland
09:40or this is our Bill Callahan,
09:42a guy that has the ability to impact multiple players' careers
09:47over a period of time,
09:49and hopefully it goes that way
09:50because it seems like a lot of the top guys love working with him,
09:54and now a lot of the young guys are like,
09:55I've got to go with that dude to optimize.
09:58So
