00:10O Lord, open our lips, and our mouths shall sing your praise.
00:17O God, make speed to save us. O Lord, make haste to help us.
00:26Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning,
00:32is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
00:39Let us praise the Lord. The Lord's name be praised.
00:49I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
00:59I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.
01:09God from God, light from light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the
01:19Father.
01:20Through him all things were made.
01:23For us men, and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit, was incarnate of
01:31the Virgin Mary, and became man.
01:35For our sake, he was crucified under Pontius Pilate.
01:39He suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
01:46He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
01:52He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
01:59I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father,
02:06who with the Father and the Son, is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
02:14I believe in one holy Catholic and apostolic Church.
02:18I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins,
02:22and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.
02:30Amen.
02:33The Lord be with you, and also with you.
02:39Let us pray.
02:42Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:45Christ, have mercy upon us.
02:48Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:53Our Father in heaven, holy is your name.
02:58Your kingdom come.
03:00Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
03:05Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses,
03:11as we forgive those who trespass against us.
03:16Do not allow us to fall into temptation, but deliver us from every evil.
03:23Amen.
03:27O Lord, have mercy upon us, and grant us your salvation.
03:35Bless your ministers with righteousness, and make your chosen people joyful.
03:44O Lord, save your people, and bless your inheritance.
03:51Give peace in our time, O Lord,
03:54because there is none other that fights for it, but only you, O God.
04:01O God, make clean our hearts within us.
04:07Do not take your Holy Spirit from us.
04:15The first book of Kings, chapter 16.
04:20When Zimri saw that the city was captured,
04:23he went to the fortified area of the royal palace.
04:27He set the palace on fire, and died in the flames.
04:32This happened because of the sins he had committed.
04:36He did evil in the sight of the Lord,
04:39and followed in Jeroboam's footsteps,
04:41and encouraged Israel to continue sinning.
04:48The rest of the events of Zimri's reign,
04:51including the details of his revolt,
04:53are recorded in the scroll called the Annals of the Kings of Israel.
05:00At that time, the people of Israel were divided in their loyalties.
05:05Half the people supported Tibni, son of Jinath,
05:08and wanted to make him king,
05:10and the other half supported Omri.
05:15Omri's supporters were stronger than those who supported Tibni.
05:19Tibni died, and so Omri became king.
05:24In the 31st year of Asa's rule over Judah,
05:28Omri became king over Israel.
05:31He ruled for 12 years,
05:35six of them in Terzah.
05:37He purchased the hill of Samaria from Shemar
05:40for two talents of silver.
05:43He launched a construction project there,
05:46and named the city he built after Shemar,
05:49the former owner of the hill of Samaria.
05:54Omri did even more evil in the sight of the Lord
05:57than all who were before him.
06:00He followed in the footsteps of Jeroboam, son of Nivat,
06:04encouraging Israel to sin.
06:07They angered the Lord, their God, of Israel
06:11with their worthless idols.
06:15The rest of the events of Omri's reign,
06:17including his accomplishments and successes,
06:19are recorded in the scroll called the Annals of the Kings of Israel.
06:25Omri passed away and was buried in Samaria.
06:28His son Ahab replaced him as king.
06:35In the 38th year of Asa's reign over Judah,
06:39Omri's son Ahab became king over Israel.
06:43Ahab, son of Omri, ruled over Israel for 22 years in Samaria.
06:50Again, Ahab, son of Omri, did yet more evil in the sight of the Lord
06:54than all who went before him.
06:58As if following in the sinful footsteps of Jeroboam, son of Nivat,
07:02were not bad enough.
07:04He married Jezebel, the daughter of king Ethbaal of the Sidonians.
07:10Then he worshipped and bowed to Baal.
07:13He set up an altar for Baal in the temple of Baal he had built in Samaria.
07:20Ahab also made an Asherah pole,
07:22and he did more to anger the Lord God of Israel
07:25than all the kings of Israel who had been before him.
07:30During Ahab's reign, Hiel, the Bethelite, had rebuilt Jericho.
07:38Abiram, his firstborn son, had died when he laid the foundation.
07:44Segob, his youngest son, died when he erected its gates,
07:48just as the Lord had warned through Joshua, the son of Nun.
07:53This is the word of the Lord.
07:55Thanks, be to God.
08:02The Lord said unto my Lord,
08:09Sit now on my right hand,
08:12Until I make thy heaven is thy full stone.
08:19The Lord shall send my God of thy power out of style,
08:25Be the Lord, be the Lord,
08:30be the Lord, be the kingdom,
08:31Christ, thou thou art thy heaven is.

19:36The Gospel according to Saint John, chapter 8
19:42Jesus went out to the Mount of Olives
19:45Early in the morning he came to the temple courts again
19:49All the people came to him
19:51And he sat down and began to teach them
19:54The experts in the law and the Pharisees
19:57Brought a woman who had been caught committing adultery
20:02They made her stand in front of them and said to Jesus
20:06Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of adultery
20:11In the law, Moses commanded us to stone to death such women
20:16What then do you say?
20:19Now they were asking this in an attempt to trap him
20:22That they might be able to bring charges against him
20:27Jesus bent down and wrote on the ground with his finger
20:33When they persisted in asking him
20:35He stood up straight and replied
20:37Whoever among you is without guilt
20:40May be the first to throw a stone at her
20:44Then he bent down again and continued writing on the ground
20:49Now when they had heard this
20:51They began to drift away one at a time
20:54Starting with the older ones
20:56Until Jesus was left alone with the woman
20:58Standing before her
21:01Jesus stood upright and said to her
21:04Woman, where are they?
21:06Did no one stay to condemn you?
21:10She replied, no one, Lord
21:13Jesus said, I do not condemn you either
21:17Go, and from now on do not sin any more
21:24Then Jesus spoke out again
21:26I am the light of the world
21:28The one who follows me will never walk in darkness
21:32But will have the light of life
21:37And so the Pharisees objected to him
21:39You give testimony about yourself
21:42So your testimony is not true
21:47Jesus replied, even if I testify about myself
21:51My testimony is true
21:53Because I know where I came from
21:55And where I am going
21:58But you, people, do not know where I am from
22:02Or where I am going
22:04You judge my outward appearance
22:06But I do not judge anyone
22:09If I do judge
22:10My evaluation is accurate
22:13Because I am not alone when I judge
22:15But I and the Father who sent me
22:17Do so together
22:20It is written in your law
22:22That the witness of two men is true
22:25I testify about myself
22:27And the Father who sent me
22:29Testifies about me
22:32And so they began asking him
22:34Who is your Father?
22:38Jesus answered
22:40You do not know either me or my Father
22:44If you knew me
22:45You would know my Father too
22:49Jesus spoke these words
22:51Near to the offering box
22:52While he was teaching in the temple courts
22:56And yet no one seized him
22:57Because his time had not yet come
23:02Then Jesus said to them again
23:04I am going away
23:05And you will look for me
23:07But you will die in your sin
23:11For where I am going
23:12You cannot come
23:15So the Jewish leaders
23:17Began saying amongst themselves
23:18Perhaps he is going to kill himself
23:22Because he says
23:23Where I am going
23:24You cannot come
23:27Jesus replied
23:28You people are from below
23:32I am from above
23:34You are from this world
23:36I am not from this world
23:39So I told you
23:41That you will die in your sin
23:42For unless you believe
23:44That I am he
23:45You will die in your sins
23:49So they asked him
23:51Who are you?
23:53To which Jesus replied
23:55What I have told you
23:57From the very beginning
23:58I have many things to say
24:00And to judge about you
24:01But the Father who sent me
24:03Is truthful
24:04And the things I have heard from him
24:06I speak to the world
24:09They did not understand
24:11That he was telling them
24:12About his Father
24:15Then he said
24:16When you lift up
24:17The Son of Man
24:18Then you will know
24:19That I am he
24:20And that I do nothing
24:21On my own initiative
24:23But I speak
24:25What my Father
24:25Has taught me
24:27The one who sent me
24:29Is with me
24:29He has not left me alone
24:32Because I always do
24:33The things that please him
24:36And while he was saying
24:37These things
24:39Many people came
24:40To believe in him
24:43This is the word of the Lord
24:45Thanks be to God
24:53Collect for peace
24:55O God who is the author of peace
24:58And lover of concord
25:00In knowledge of whom stands
25:02Our eternal life
25:04Whose service is perfect freedom
25:06Defend us your humble servants
25:09In all assaults of our enemies
25:11That we surely trusting
25:14In your defence

25:27Collect for our safe preservation

25:39Defend us in the same
25:41With your mighty power
25:42And grant that this day
25:44We fall into no sin
25:46Neither run into any kind of danger
25:49But that all our doings
25:51May be ordered
25:53By your governance
25:55To do always that
25:57Which is righteous
25:58In your sight
25:59Through Jesus Christ
26:01Our Lord
26:02Amen
26:07Lord let me accept calmly
26:09All that this day might bring me
26:12And let me devote myself completely
26:15To your sacred will
26:17Direct me and help me
26:19Each hour of this day
26:22Control my thoughts and feelings
26:24In all my deeds and words
26:27When unpredictable circumstances arise
26:30Do not let me forget
26:32That everything comes from you
26:35Lord Jesus Son of God
26:38It is better not to live
26:40Than to live without you
26:42I thank you God
26:43For the gift of this new day
26:45And for all the good deeds
26:47You will help me do
26:49Today
26:51Holy Spirit
26:52Help me to dedicate this day

27:04Or cause sorrow

27:08And teach me to pray
27:09To believe
27:10To hope
27:11To suffer
27:12To forgive
27:14And to love
27:16Amen
27:20We pray for the work
27:22Of your faithful servants
27:24Throughout the world
27:25Lord
27:27Lord in your mercy

27:33May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ
