00:00How about some baseball? How about the A's last night? Part of this greatest night of all time and what
00:06transpired, this was just absolutely incredible. Not just from a hockey standpoint, not just from a basketball standpoint, a baseball
00:15standpoint. JT Ginn, who actually has put up really good numbers for the Sacramento, Oakland, Vegas, Rob Manfred A's, he's
00:24throwing a no hitter. Loses the no hitter in the ninth and bam! Instantly!
00:30Gives up a walk off to the Angels who had previously lost six straight. You can't make that up if
00:37you tried. How about the Padres and the Dodgers last night? Yamamoto gave up an early homer and that was
00:43it. You saw an unbelievable game. Well pitched, well played. Michael King, the former Yankee, just incredible. Striking out Dodgers
00:53left and right. Mason Miller, who's been lights out, actually put a couple guys on and then slammed the door
00:58shut.
00:59Incredible stuff when you looked at this game. Also, great job by baseball on the heels of rivalry weekend, extending
01:06it into this week. That was a thrilling and terrific ball game. Padres beat the Dodgers behind Michael King, won
01:14nothing. Dodgers pitching injuries. Look, I refuse to hit any kind of panic button, but it's officially a thing here.
01:21Blake Snell, loose bodies in the elbow. That's not great. Taylor Glass now, once again, made of glass and I
01:30love glass. Now, back, he is not going to be able to with the back spasms. He was shut down
01:36in terms of throwing. Of course, Edwin Diaz has been out for some time and will be out for the
01:41foreseeable future. I still think the Dodgers win the West. I still think the Dodgers win the World Series.
01:47Obviously, this is something to monitor. Yankees might have had their best win of the year last night, winning a
01:54wild game against the Toronto Blue Jays. Jazz hands, baby. That was a wild home run for Jazz Chisholm last
02:00night. I mean, he basically just checked his swing and hit the left field foul, Paul.
02:04Bellinger hit a home run as well. Thin air last night, hot, humid night. That was incredible. Bednar. What was
02:13that? By the way, George Springer, thank you for swinging at that 3-0 pitch last night. On the heels
02:19of the worst loss of the season, Bednar, the hang him and bang him to Taylor and the Mets. That
02:24was insane what transpired. I mean, absolutely. But Bednar, I like him and stand by him because of his guts
02:31and his guile and his toughness.
02:33If you don't like him and he puts too many ducks on the pond, that was an example because he
02:37doesn't have strikeout stuff, doesn't have swing and miss stuff. Yankees with their win of the year. Now, I'm not
02:44ready to say the Yankees are back in any way, shape, or form. A lot of it was because the
02:48Blue Jays had no idea what the hell they were doing. Hey, Mets, 10 runs in the 12th to beat
02:53the Nats 16-7. That's under the umbrella of something you haven't seen before, probably not going to see again.
03:00Mets haven't had too many feel-good wins this year.
03:03But quietly, Mets are playing really good ball. I don't want to hear it's just Washington. We've been killing the
03:08Mets all season long when they lose to inferior teams. Mets, you know, what they did in Colorado. Then you
03:14take a look at what they did against Detroit. Sweeping away the Tigers. Take two out of three from the
03:19Yankees. Handle business. Explode in extras against Washington. That's a terrific job here by the New York Mets. How about
03:26the Phillies? They're absolutely on fire. Comeback win last night. Able to beat the Cincinnati Reds.
03:32I thought that was awesome. The big headline here, 16-4 under Don Mattingly. Listen, I love Downey baseball. I
03:42told you, don't give up on the Philadelphia Phillies. You know, you see the Phillies, the way they win every
03:47single night. It's a different way, different style of fight. This team is tough. This team is clutch. And now,
03:53brilliantly managed with our guy, Don Mattingly.
03:58And now, brilliantly managed by an engineer. Let her do it in their degree.
