00:42this year which is tied for the most in the league they have the few tied for the fewest games

00:47on sundays at 11 so um we haven't talked about it what are a couple of your interesting thoughts
00:54on the schedule that's an interesting one they have four day four games in 17 days i think they're
01:03the only team in the league that that is the case for there's a monday sunday sunday thursday i think
01:09is the way it goes something like that but either way um you go from a saturday to a friday
01:15um situation for the christmas game you play on christmas you play on thanksgiving two holidays
01:19talk with mike north about that and i specifically remember saying to him hey a few years ago
01:23the steelers played on both thanksgiving and christmas he's like yep could happen and sure
01:28enough it's the bills um how about this quirk the bills play every nfc north team in prime time
01:36no afc east teams in prime time i was actually my biggest surprise about the schedule was they did
01:43not have one of the new england games you know as a night game prime time game they don't have

01:47division game prime time yet they play every one of their nfc north team uh opponents in prime time
01:52yeah that's probably unusual i would think that's play a whole division in prime time right that's
01:57not your own yeah and none of your own like right there's always this bills jets random right just

02:08well four four out of five on the road twice is is stands out to me sale there's a buy

02:44knew the the opponents we already knew it would be a tough schedule no matter what i do like having
02:49early um you know season games in the afternoon at home you know of those sunday games you talk about
02:55mike a couple of them are early on at home it's the chargers and then who's the following new england

03:06good having a week before the ravens the bills actually have the best rest disparity in the league

03:31and i think the bills might stay out west nothing we don't know yet we're not confirmed nothing like
03:35that but it would make sense that they might do that considering it's only six days between those games
03:42yes a lot to look at here it's going to feel like after week four they're never home
03:50they're going to have that ravens game is a month after that and then they'll have the two close
03:54together at they at just before and then on thanksgiving and then after that it's december

04:37he's going to stand at a podium versus sean who sat at a table and i know that sounds weird

04:42cares but you get so used to things for some reasons and like joe brady prefers to stand at
04:48a podium instead of sitting at a table and talking to us and it's just different and it's just
04:53underscores how there are differences between these two coaches and the vibe or whatever you know reason
04:58they want to do things well you know he talked and you know he just talked about the excitement of
05:02getting out there and certain guys we asked about injuries my big focus today and i put a lot of

05:08out of these things today i wanted to see guys that have were dealing with injuries i want to see
05:14guys who either had off-season surgery who missed last year a majority of last year whatever where
05:19are they what are they doing and man first thing i noticed when i went on that field was michael

05:26off to the side doing like jumping with a medicine ball and with a helmet on and then sprinting and

05:32like oh my god like wow that's pretty cool and encouraging that's great i even wrote like how
05:36encouraging it was uh i said it this is encouraging it was it's great to see that he didn't like
05:40participate in practice but he was he looked like a guy who might have had a weekly you know wednesday
05:45thursday uh training session off to the side because he was dealing with something you know what i mean
05:49yeah yeah i mean i wonder like when when will we ever hear about what sort of timeline he's on

06:04otas or minicamp yeah he he gave a a kind of a general assessment bulldog on all these guys he
06:10was asked specifically he said look one of the challenges for all of this for us for whether
06:16it's injury or anything else attendance too is we are only seeing one practice per week
06:21as the media so he said look you might get a guy out there today not out there tomorrow but

06:27don't see that and he's not going to say which guys are doing what that's just not how they want

06:36there was no today no deon dawkins no spencer brown no james cook uh no dorian williams there
06:42were some guys missing doesn't mean they're not there tomorrow or thursday right all i can tell

06:52colleagues tweeted that you know deon dawkins and spencer brown might have kind of came out
06:56afterward or something and showed their face but i didn't see them practicing but again yeah one
07:01as far as updates and all that one time per week um other injured guys guys that have been dealing
07:06with stuff dwayne carter missed all last year he was out there practicing landon jackson missed most
07:10of last year he was out there practicing like it's just good to see some of these guys terrell bernard
07:15who dealt with a lot of injuries last year he was out there practicing and then dalton kincaid too
07:20yes and man i'll tell you landon jackson looks way bigger and we knew that he said he's gained
07:25like 20 pounds already he's looking to do like five more he's gonna he wants to play like 280 to
07:29285 he was 260 last year and you could tell on video i put out dalton kincaid looks bigger too

07:35really does and he was wearing no sleeve on his knee and there's been a lot of talk guys about

07:39did he not get the surgery why did he not do that we asked him he answered his answer was

07:45with a lot of doctors a lot of team doctors and basically was told don't get surgery this is the
07:52best course of action he said he would have if they said not to he let it heal on his
07:56own and now
07:56he's out there playing this is two off seasons in a row that dalton kincaid has looked bigger because
08:01what wasn't well i don't know it was a talking it was a talking point last year like that because
08:05they said he needed to get bigger and then he got here we all oh yeah i guess he got
08:08bigger and
08:09now again so that's uh i don't know is that hopefully that's good i think so you know i mean
08:15we saw him block more last year he was definitely more of a willing and good better blocker um you
08:21know and even joe brady said i don't need him being jackson hawes out there right but he's
08:24obviously got to do that role a little bit so i just think that that's the the stuff i saw

08:29injured guys specifically today was super encouraging for me was there any word on dorian strong
08:36no word but he was out there in street clothes with a neck brace he did not practice he had

08:41neck brace on he didn't have a jersey on and he was walking around with his defensive teammates

08:51through some mini camp activities we already mentioned the schedule the uh bet online odds
08:58have the bills favored in 15 of their 17 games by the way oh wait a minute i now wait

09:04on our podcast today so okay he said he said the ones they weren't do you know the what are

09:10they're not uh rams and packers oh and the one that he looked at told me patriots on the road
09:16either okay well i had 15 either way another team favored in 15 games ready cincinnati
09:26wow right their their schedule must be well it's got to be the nfc south like the bills last year

09:33the benefit of the nfc south and did didn't end up that carolina wanted at like eight nine or something
09:38like that so you played all those teams didn't beat them all so the afc north has the nfc south
09:44and the bengals have the dolphins from the afc east they have the titans from the afc south
09:51they drew nicely and nfc west would be would that be the cardinals i don't i don't know but
09:59yeah cincinnati at the beginning here we are at the beginning of like sort of the schedule season
10:04so to speak is favored in 15 out of 17 games who do they play in the nfc west you
10:09know the bills don't
10:09the bills don't play them this year obviously as we know and it's been a tough matchup well they
10:14play washington last year they they did win but you know that's been a tough matchup and
10:17you know there's that's a really interesting team because i think a lot of people are wondering
10:23about joe burrow's future if they have another down year washington is the added nfc team they
10:29play it wouldn't be a west team the bills play a west team but the bengals play uh washington
10:33that's their extra what did you think about the we didn't talk touch on this the home opener
10:37opponent detroit and on a thursday night i i like it a lot i mean detroit is even though they

10:44make it last year they're pretty sexy they're marquee i think i like it a lot yeah and if they

10:50it i'm not sure if they would care like go this far in but detroit and buffalo have ties you

11:16means anything there's not really a football rivalry there much of one but you know detroit's

12:07before kickoff because i'm watching other games right so l we get l yeah he did a interview with
12:13mike florio where he talked about how he by his count i think this is ninth ninth yes stadium opening
12:18game that includes like renovated soldier field we got to press l on this i'm not sure all those
12:23really count as new stadiums but you know la and dallas and minnesota yeah so in those days of course
