A couple aged in their 30s has been stabbed to death in Sydney. Police say they have arrested the woman's former partner.

00:00Emergency services responded to reports of a disturbance at a home in Quakers Hill in Sydney's northwest around 5 a.m. this morning. Neighbours reported hearing loud crashing noises and screams coming from the house. Officers when they arrived found the body of a woman believed to be aged in her 30s. She was suffering multiple stab wounds.
00:26They also found a man also suffering from stab wounds and he was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition but has since died. Police say 30 minutes after they were called to that home, a 47-year-old man handed himself in at Blacktown Police Station and he is currently being questioned by detectives.
00:48Police say that a knife was also located at a service station in Woodcroft, not far away from the scene of the crime. Police say it's still early in their investigation but they are treating this as a domestic violence related incident.
01:04They believe there was multiple relationships involved in this incident. They say the man and woman who have been killed were in a current relationship and they believe that the 47-year-old man who was handed himself in to police was previously in a relationship with the woman who has since been killed. Police say it was a horrific scene to attend to.
