00:00What started as just three unfixed dogs at a junkyard quickly multiplied to 65 feral dogs
00:06trying to survive in the Mojave Desert. They were skinny and starved and we didn't have anything.
00:14We were like, okay, we got to get them out and get them in foster homes and whatnot.
00:19And against all odds, they not only survived, but became some of the most loving,
00:23gentle dogs that we'd ever met. So that's how we met Pip.
00:29Shortly after she was rescued, she went into labor. She had given birth for three days.
00:37It was a premature birth. She did her best. She curled around them. She tried to keep them warm.
00:44She tried to keep them fed, but none of them made it.
00:52The next few days or weeks after, she would search the house looking for those puppies that weren't there.
00:59Collecting squeaky toys that sounded like the baby's crying and just kind of went through her grieving process.
01:08Slowly, she kind of started coming out of her shell and started asking for love.
01:15We discovered that she really loved being rocked in our arms like a little baby.
01:21Like she had wanted this love for so long that she didn't even know existed.
01:28A few weeks later, her brother family had seen the latest reel that we made for Pip.
01:35They said that they just immediately fell in love with Pip.
01:39Their dog, Finn, had lost his sister this year.
01:44So he was also grieving losing someone.
01:48And they just thought, we need another dog.
01:50And Pip seemed like the perfect match.
01:56They play together.
01:58They definitely lean on each other for confidence on walks together and just lounge around.
02:03And it's so cute to see.
02:06Seeing the transformation of Pip from the first day when we met her in the desert to now
02:12is probably the most rewarding fostering experience I've had.
02:17I think that her strength, despite everything she's gone through, is really, really inspiring.
02:26I can't talk to you guys.
02:27I think that her strength, despite everything she's gone through, is really inspiring.
02:29I think that her strength, despite everything she's gone through, is really amazing.
