00:00Someone had shot this pregnant mama when she was on the ground, unable to walk.
00:04When they found Miracle, she was on the side of the road in a field.
00:11Someone reached out to the Cantu Foundation, so they sent out a rescue team.
00:15She had seven to nine BB gun pellets in her belly.
00:19She was in one of the volunteers' vans.
00:22They were just like, let's get her to the vet.
00:23The volunteers were like, what do we do?
00:25She's having the babies.
00:30The plan was not to have the babies in the van, but sometimes that's just the way that it works.
00:34The volunteers, they just really jump into action.
00:40All of them were healthy.
00:42Her six little Miracle's, all of her puppies have new homes and families now.
00:48She had two hip surgeries, an amputation, and chemotherapy.
00:53The rescue reached out to me and let me know that Miracle needed a foster.
00:56I went down to Mexico, and I had the opportunity to meet Miracle in person, and she looked identical to my dog, Rue.
01:03So when Miracle arrived in San Diego, I was really excited to help her recover.
01:07Hi!
01:08Rue is my dog, who I foster failed two years ago.
01:11She also had an amputation, so her and Miracle were like three-legged twins.
01:18Those first three weeks were really difficult.
01:20She wanted to be able to run around again.
01:23It took a little bit of time.
01:24After about a little over a month, she was good to go.
01:31When Miracle and Rue first met, they were both just staring at each other, like, are we the same?
01:40They were very much like sisters.
01:42Fighting one second, and then best friends two minutes later.
01:45My favorite thing about her was her sweetness.
01:52She's so soulful.
01:53Angela applied to Adopt Miracle, and we did a meet and greet at the park.
01:57And I could tell they were going to be each other's people.
02:00Hi, baby!
02:02Since she's gone home, she has been living her best life.
02:07Seeing how happy she is, I'm grateful, and I'm grateful for rescue.
02:12So many people would have looked and said, what quality of life is this dog going to have?
02:16But they were like, no, we're going to do everything we can.
02:19It's just really beautiful to see.
