00:00A huge pattern change is on the way this weekend and the next week, and we begin with widespread warmth.
00:07And this time of the year, once you get it warm, you know what follows?
00:12Showers and thunderstorms, and that's what we're going to be seeing across the central part of the United States
00:17as we head in this Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
00:21Little dips in the jet stream across the western United States.
00:25You're going to get moist flow coming in from the Gulf.
00:28You have the warm air.
00:30That's a recipe for showers and thunderstorms.
00:33And you know this time of the year, when you're talking about showers and thunderstorms,
00:36you're talking about the threat for severe weather.
00:38We begin on Saturday.
00:40Still have some risk across the southern plains, Kansas into Oklahoma, mostly gusty winds and hail.
00:46But the time frame to watch, we think, is going to be Sunday and Monday as everything shifts from the
00:53plains
00:54and then into the Midwest.
00:55You'll notice the area is larger.
00:58Again, wind and hail, a possibility.
01:00And then by Monday, we start shifting it a little farther to the east.
01:05And you notice the change with the impacts on Monday?
01:08We start talking about isolated tornadoes along with the wind, the hail, and the rain.
01:14We're at the peak of the severe weather season.
01:17And we're going to be heading in the days of severe weather beginning this weekend.
