Situada en 1936, Don Gregorio enseñará a Moncho con dedicación y paciencia toda su sabiduría en cuanto a los conocimientos, la literatura, la naturaleza, y hasta las mujeres. Pero el trasfondo de la amenaza política subsistirá siempre, especialmente cuando Don Gregorio es atacado por ser considerado un enemigo del régimen fascista. Así se irá abriendo entre estos dos amigos una brecha, traída por la fuerza del contexto que los rodea.
Set in 1936, Don Gregorio patiently and diligently imparts his wisdom to Moncho, covering everything from knowledge and literature to nature and even women. However, the underlying threat of political oppression is ever-present, especially when Don Gregorio is attacked for being considered an enemy of the fascist regime. Thus, a rift gradually widens between these two friends, driven by the force of their surrounding circumstances.
