00:00She would just come through the little hole in the fence in the back of the yard.
00:06Bella came into our lives when we needed her the most.
00:08We were so excited to share her amazing story with the dodo.
00:12We would see her just walking the neighborhood.
00:15We would see her in the Facebook neighborhood group of people being like, whose dog is this?
00:20We introduced ourselves to Bella's owners so they knew where she was hanging out during
00:24the day.
00:25She started coming over pretty much on a daily basis, especially throughout the week.
00:29Morning.
00:30Hi.
00:31We were shocked at how quickly she got so comfortable.
00:35I think it was like the second day, she started rolling over on her back and wanted to rub
00:39her tummy for her.
00:42She was choosing to be over here all the time.
00:45She had a home.
00:46She had a family.
00:47She just wasn't getting the attention that she deserved.
00:53She wouldn't want to go home at night, and she would spend all night on the back patio.
00:57It looks like little Bella spent the night last night.
01:01There she is.
01:03And she was there to greet you for morning coffee first thing in the morning.
01:06Hi, sweetie.
01:08Good morning.
01:09Over the course of the summer, she just started just becoming more attached to us, and we started
01:15becoming more attached to her.
01:17The end of May of 2025 was whenever we had to make the really tough decision to put our
01:23little dog, Dooney, down at 17 years old.
01:27She immediately was just drawn to Seth.
01:31And you could really just see that she loved him and she knew that he needed her because
01:38he just lost his soul dog, Dooney.
01:42It was just this amazing feeling just watching the two of them.
01:47Are you being a sweet baby?
01:49Yeah.
01:51We were always a little sad when Bella would leave our yard.
01:56We hadn't seen her in a few days, and it was really rainy out.
02:01He would just start to kind of look towards the fence, like, is she going to come over
02:06today?
02:10Then finally, eventually, she would come over and then it was like sunshine and happiness
02:16all over again.
02:18You're all dirty from sneaking over, huh?
02:22Yeah.
02:23Oh.
02:25We're glad you came back.
02:28You see how bad she's shaking?
02:29Yeah.
02:30Are you just that excited?
02:31Oh.
02:32Okay.
02:34She's a sweet girl.
02:38It was at that point that we realized, like, this isn't just a neighbor dog.
02:44We love her and we care about her and we want to do what's best for her and keep her
02:49safe.
02:50All of a sudden, the previous owner texted Crystal and says, hey, we're moving.
02:54Would you mind watching Bella for a while while we get situated?
02:59And we were like, absolutely.
03:00Absolutely.
03:00We would love to watch her.
03:02Where's she at?
03:03Yeah.
03:04During that time, it was us being a perfect little family together.
03:09And they never reached out.
03:12They didn't ask about her.
03:15We decided to ask them if we could adopt her.
03:26And she officially became ours on November 13th of 2025.
03:31And we haven't looked back since.
03:35She just brings us so much joy every day.
03:39She's just the perfect dog.
03:43I see her smile sometimes.
03:45Sometimes it's a little crooked.
03:47I see it on the left side.
03:48It goes a little farther back.
03:49She's like, hey, what you do?
03:54Yeah.
03:54Yeah.
03:54Mm-hmm.
03:56She chose us.
03:57It was just a connection that was meant to be.
04:00She wasn't a wonderer by choice.
04:03It was kind of by her own necessity.
04:05Because once she was given unconditional love and attention, she'd made no attempt to try
04:09to bolt or take off or escape or explore in any way, shape, or form.
04:13She's absolutely living her best life right now.
04:16Good night.
04:18Good night.
04:18Good night.
04:19We love you.
