00:00This dog was returned to the shelter four times before she finally found her forever family.
00:05Which is almost impossible to believe because she's the gentlest, most protective big sister
00:10I've ever seen. Seeing a child and dog bond like this makes you believe in the concept of a soul
00:16dog. So we reached out to Stephanie to hear the full story. I hated that Savannah had been through
00:22what she had been through, given back to the shelter, because of stomach issues and behavioral
00:27issues. I broke my heart. I'm a really big animal person and I fell in love with her. I was
00:32willing
00:32to take any chance I could on her. We committed to her when nobody else would. I was pregnant with
00:37Charlie when we adopted Savannah. Dogs have a weird sense and I think that Savannah knew.
00:46When Charlie came home from the hospital she was really curious, interested. She really took on to
00:51Charlie. And this wasn't just a phase. As Charlie grew, Savannah became more and more obsessed with her.
01:00And Charlie absolutely loves her as well. They play together. Savannah is just always so, so gentle.
01:10It's hard to believe this dog was once labeled as a problem when she's actually the sweetest big
01:15sister dog I've ever seen. Savannah and Charlie's relationship to this day is very much big sister
01:21little sister. And I'm just happy that I was able to change Savannah's life for the better.
01:27Stories like Savannah's are a reminder that sometimes dogs who are labeled as having issues
01:31just haven't found the love, patience, and stability they need to truly relax into who they are.
01:37And Savannah is the perfect example of that. I promise, if you take a chance on a rescue dog,
01:43you never know who they might become.
