00:00President Trump tends to speak hyperbolically.
00:03Of course, the Iranian government also speaks hyperbolically,
00:09claiming a crushing defeat of the U.S. following the ceasefire.
00:15However, it is absolutely true to say that Iran still certainly possesses the wherewithal
00:23to make passage through the Strait of Hormuz impossible to merchant shipping.
00:30Simply put, it is still estimated that they possess 400 to 800 fast patrol boats,
00:37which can be armed with rockets, that they have some 1,000 to 1,500 anti-ship drones.
00:45At one point they were making, they produced 80,000 total of these drones.
00:50We've destroyed many of them, but they still remain.
00:53And estimates are that they still maintain between 1 and 300 anti-ship ballistic missiles.
01:01Any one of these factors is sufficient to cause an entire halt of shipping.
01:07So they still possess the wherewithal.
01:11That doesn't even mention the mine situation, which is, in my view, the most difficult factor of all.
01:19Have they been enormously reduced?
01:22They have.
01:23Has their military, has their Navy been sunk?
01:27Has their Air Force been erased?
01:28Do they have air defense?
01:30They don't have air defense.
01:33But it would be a misnomer to suggest that they have no capability whatsoever.
01:39They certainly possess the capability to close the Strait of Hormuz.
01:44And that appears to be the kernel issue in this discussion.
01:48Well, we're in this discussion.
01:49Let's do it.
01:49Let's do it.
01:50Let's do it.
01:50I want to.
01:51Let's do it.
