00:00So it doesn't sound like you think that, you know, there is a huge amount of reason to be optimistic
00:06that something long lasting will be carved out in the next few days and weeks at these talks being brokered
00:13by Pakistan.
00:15Am I detecting a bit of cynicism, a bit of pessimism on your part?
00:20I really think that's the case. These people are not defeated. They're just hanging around.
00:27And I think the United States has developed this unbelievable relationship.
00:32Tom, I think that if we were to discuss this a year ago, the idea that the Gulf states would
00:38be so united and working together with America, with Israel, with everyone together against putting a stop to the tyranny
00:44and the constant threat and upheaval coming from Iran, we would have been startled by that.
00:50But we've seen it. And now that we're here, now it's a time to bring hope and opportunity for that
00:55great nation of Iran.
00:57That for 3,500 years has just been a powerhouse. It has so much to offer. It's been under this
01:05horrible tyranny for 45 years.
01:07And I think that it's going to be resolved as cooperatively with Saudis, with the rest.
01:14And I'm very, very optimistic about the long term. But in the short run, I think that I don't see
01:19peace and prosperity as long as these as long as these radical mullahs are still in control in Tehran.
01:27I think the people of Iran are ready to see them go. I think the Gulf states are willing to
01:33see them go and the world will be much improved when they are gone.
