00:00When you hear President Trump come out with something new, like, oh, we're going to be guardians of the Strait
00:04of Hormuz and everyone that passes through is going to pay us a toll.
00:07I mean, this is all quite new. I mean, does it sound to you like basically the Trump administration is
00:13making this up as it goes along?
00:14So I don't know if this is just rhetoric to try to push the negotiations forward.
00:18I don't know that it would work, but it might be more on that line rather than something that's seriously
00:24being considered, because I just don't see how that would happen.
00:28There would be major backlash. And again, it does shoot our argument that this is an international waterway and nobody
00:34should control it.
00:35No country should control it, including Iran.
00:39The important part of this, of course, is even if we do get the Strait back open entirely, that's just
00:46back to where we were before the war.
00:47The next phase is really going to be, can we get into a new nuclear agreement, which was the primary
00:52purpose for the U.S. decision with Israel to go into war with Iran.
00:57And right now, we're not even talking about that.
