00:00rain is coming to where we need it most, but it comes with a catch. A storm this weekend is
00:03targeting the Gulf Coast right over one of the worst drought areas in the country. From South Carolina through Georgia
00:09and into Florida, this is exceptional drought, the highest level. Most spots are going to see one to two inches
00:13of rain with some heavier pockets. That means there is a flash flooding risk, especially where rain falls fast and
00:19hard. But here's why this is actually good news. This drought has already fueled wildfires, hurt crops and drained water
00:24supplies. Some places are more than a foot behind on rain. So yes, some flooding is possible and the timing
00:29is not exactly ideal for Mother's Day weekend, but this rain is badly needed relief.
