00:00We are monitoring a new crest here in Junction, Texas. This is where the North Lano River meets the Lano
00:07River, and you can even see fresh debris moving down this river. Local authorities are monitoring the river levels very
00:14closely. They have come down a little bit here since yesterday near the merger of the Lano and North Lano
00:20River, but there was a lot more rainfall overnight last night just off to the south feeding into these basins
00:26here, and that's why this water continues to rise this morning.
00:30This is on day three or four of this mega flood event in the Texas Hill Country, and it continues
00:35to worsen in spots, especially to the west of the Kerrville area. This is where the upper level low has
00:41planted. It's turned into a new MCV or mesoscale convective vortex, and those are capable of dumping major rainfall. We
00:48can also see the low-level jet at 30 knots continuing to stream in to the south side of this
00:53MCS, feeding it this morning, and we expect this heavy rainfall to last through at least midday, which is
00:59which is making the flood situation a lot worse here in Texas. This is in Junction, where the North Lano
01:05and Lano River converge. Definitely some flooding situation here. Major flood stage continues. There are fire ants being displaced. Fire
01:13ant barges everywhere out here. Homes being threatened to the east in Segovia. That's along Johnson Fort Creek, and we
01:20are monitoring the flood situation here in Junction, Texas very closely.
