00:00So here are four golden rules to prevent smartphone addiction.
00:07Golden rule number one.
00:09Always, always prioritize real-life relationships over virtual worth.
00:16Remember, having just five good friends is any day much better than having five million followers.
00:27And when you are talking to these five good friends, do not.
00:33Do not check your smartphones.
00:36Just keep them away.
00:38Golden rule number two.
00:40Set firm and strong clear-cut boundaries on your screen time.
00:47There must be technology-free hours, technology-free zones, and technology-free vacations in your life.
00:57Golden rule number three and my personal favorite.
01:02Develop strong frustration tolerance.
01:07Stay away from impulsive eating, impulsive drinking, impulsive shopping, impulsive watching, and instant hookups.
01:19Believe me, all this quick, instant sensory pleasure makes you mentally very fragile and pushes you into anxiety, depression, and
01:35a range of psychological problems.
01:38Golden rule number four.
01:40Remember, stop being a couch potato.
01:44Stop being someone who just sits and watches whatever is coming up.
01:52Instead, be active and immerse yourself.
01:56Devote yourself in any creative activity of your choice.
02:01This will give you tremendous self-growth, meaning, and happiness.
