00:02Hi and welcome to Tech Talks. I'm joined today by Christophe Vermont, Chief Technology and
00:07Transformation Officer at AXA France. Hi Christophe. Hi. Can you give an example of AI creating a
00:13measurable impact in your company or for your clients? I guess you are all familiar with AI
00:19powered services like Netflix or Spotify recommendation engine. So at AXA France we
00:25use exactly the same logic to personalize the customer experience and basically to
00:30provide some very accurate list of offers to our distributors so that they
00:34can engage them at the very right moment in life to be relevant. And as a result
00:40this is very clear that we simplify customer experience in the way we are
00:45being there at the right moment but also we provide and we have a very positive
00:50impact on the business. For the last two years with this mechanism we've been able
00:54to track around 100,000 new business opportunities. It's impacting growth, it's
01:00impacting customer experience with greater simplicity, with better
01:04responsiveness, it impacts our technical excellence because with AI we can improve
01:09some core metrics like the loss ratio. So in a nutshell AI is not only about doing
01:15things faster but it's about doing things better. Can you share some examples of how
01:20you keep the culture of innovation alive? The objective is basically to unleash the
01:24potential of AI and to make it accessible to everyone and this is where culture is a
01:30critical level to activate and it's why at AXA France we built a very strong data and AI
01:35community where champions and leaders are embedded in the business teams to grasp the
01:40best ideas and so that as a result technological innovation is no more confined to
01:46tech teams. Our role as tech teams is evolving now we are providing the right tools easy to
01:51use and we implement the governance so that compliance, security, ethics and
01:56environmental responsibility is well set and this balance between technology and
02:01business is the key to make sure that innovation is scaled in a sustainable way.
02:06Excellent and finally where do you see this going in the next decade?
02:09Clearly one game changer for the insurance business is the agentic AI. It's very
02:15likely and it's by the way already happening that agents will be capable to
02:20manage processes services and tasks by their own way so if I look at for example
02:26the claims management we see a very big potential and we already are
02:30experimenting things in this domain. I don't believe we are going to become a
02:34synthetic company. Insurance business is all about trust, people, customer care,
02:40expertise. So we are moving with determination, we are testing things, we are
02:45scaling technology when they are mature but ultimately we keep a human in the
