00:12I don't want to move into somewhere that's just a dump where the toilets
00:17don't flush the windows open nothing works let's get on with it hammer it
00:22down that camera out what can go wrong what's this saying about polishing a turd although
00:31a turd with loads of potential to our new house making it now the real work begins just ripping
00:49it apart with my bare hands I am planning to run this year's London Marathon to raise money for the
00:56Institute for Cancer East End I'm currently in hospital waiting for the prognosis he's gonna
01:03be out of action for everything thank you for coming my mom is just a lifesaver
01:28it's now been a month since Jasmine and John got the keys to their place and after a few weeks
01:34of
01:34doing temporary work to make it livable they've been able to move in all the work that we've done up
01:42until now is really the bare minimum I don't think we've even really scratched the surface because
01:49now the real work begins
01:58it's a bit of a treat isn't it cheers cheers it's the morning one even nice to be eating breakfast
02:08outside in November I know what a win everyone's at home with their like gloves and scarves and hats and
02:17everything I think what we need to work on maybe we're trying to isolate areas to do you know
02:23rather than doing is one big build yes we're living here and because of potentially because
02:28of cost although I know lots of people say it's cheaper in the long run to do it in one
02:33one big
02:33guys I don't think we have that luxury I think we have to live here we can't afford to go
02:37into
02:37another rental which is one of the reasons we're now living here so camping semi ready state
02:49we're going to try and tackle the renovation floor by floor which is slightly foolish but
02:54we're going to start on the first floor get the kids room sorted and move on from there the second
02:59phase will be the basement the reasoning behind that is we think if we put a little seating area maybe
03:08a
03:08little kitchenette down in the basement then when we got into phase three which is going to be the
03:13living room kitchen ground floor we can live downstairs because we're living here we don't want it to
03:21disrupt our lives too much and they want to have it all done in less than eight months time and
03:29I had
03:30the great idea of maybe we should throw a party to celebrate a kind of housewarming party because I don't
03:37feel we can
03:37have a housewarming party in this state but it'll be nice to get everyone to come over and celebrate with
03:45us once the house is finished so with that plan laid out and the party to organize on to their
03:54first task
03:55removing a wall out on the patio while it might not be the most essential it certainly looks fun the
04:03previous owner had started an extension of the patio so it only makes sense to finish it off a new
04:13sidewall has already gone up reclaiming part of the lower level driveway but the old wall still needs
04:19demolishing and the floor needs to just ripping it apart with my bare hands tell you what it's a really
04:33good workout for your shoulders and your arms because he needs to go to the gym I was kind of
04:42hesitant
04:43about taking out this wall initially because basically these tiles lovely blue and yellow tiles
04:50all around the patio were chosen by the lady that used to own this house we'd have to have tiles
04:58to go
04:58all around that bit and we just we don't have more of them I just you know I think about
05:04the person
05:05who's she's chose them with love and put them here and then I'm just smashing them to bits which feels
05:11a bit
05:11wrong having found knocking down the kitchen wall so satisfying let's not hang around let's take out
05:20another wall this is gonna be absolutely lovely but it does make you look at it and go it's gonna
05:32be massive isn't it I mean it makes you it makes you instantly realize how big it's gonna be well
05:40unless
05:40you wanna unless you want to take our wall that's probably structurally holding up half of the house
05:46that's holding up the terrace above it oh yeah
05:54imagine it's your husband
05:58I just feel like I've got I can't smash it to bits with these tiles on let me have a
06:02go
06:03this isn't my first wall knocking down rodeo this is number two
06:08go on John it's kind of like therapy you know you could do anger management courses with demolishing
06:20walls with that mood boosting activity complete it's time to focus on priorities starting on the
06:28first floor there are two bathrooms a couple of balconies a Sun Terrace a spare room and Jasmine's
06:38priority Albion enjoys bedrooms oh joy it's gonna be lovely your room isn't it for the kids to feel
06:50like this is home and for them to have some ownership of their own home we really want them to
06:57be involved
06:58in getting excited about the renovation and especially about their own bedrooms so we're kind of giving
07:06them a bit of a free rein to do whatever they can imagine in their own bedrooms what plans have
07:15you got or ideas
07:17well I'm planning to have a rain foresty themed bedroom and then what I'm thinking a little
07:26hammock on the ceiling just there to put like teddies on or something oh so many so like a
07:33rope sort of hammock yeah something that would be nice in the rainforest for sure and across the hallway
07:42tell me what's your idea for how you'd like your room to look I want it to look like a
07:48rainbow broke into
07:50the house and vomited on it are you serious yeah when I think of rainbow vomit all I can think
08:04of is like
08:05a big swirly mass of different colors all mixed up together is that what you want yeah I was not
08:13expecting Albion to come out with the rainbow vomit theme I don't know where he got it from I know
08:20he
08:20likes bright colors he loves yellow so I kind of thought he might want some sort of quite sunny bright
08:26room but rainbow vomit well it just shows what a great imagination he's got and he's full of ideas
08:37and full of fun and I think his bedroom will reflect that part of his personality
08:53is mummy just getting the minion ones yeah I am at the moment but look there's some here Albie can
08:58pick
08:59Albie I got the perfect one is Hazel going to pick one she looks absolutely petrified for things
09:05I'm snobbing she doesn't like it it's tiny it's hidden amongst the oranges fresh orange
09:16I don't like orange fresh orange another one what are you going to make of your own lemons
09:22lemonade as the whole family settle into their new life in their new home the build continues with the
09:33current focus being the first floor home to the kids bedrooms we're currently working on Albie's
09:38room and part of the plan with his room is to open up access to the balcony next to his
09:42bedroom
09:43currently only accessible from the hallway so a new doorway is needed so this is where you can start
09:50the door from so it has to be from here to here which is 80 centimeters including the door frame
09:56um which is basically a standard door size but can I find a door in that size no and if
10:05we have to
10:05have doors custom made not only is it expensive but it will also take much longer so I'm in a
10:14bit of a
10:14conundrum about what to do to be honest with the door a messy first floor job they're keen to start
10:21with no actual door on site yet builder Carlos and his team are turning to tasks in other parts of
10:28the
10:28house like prepping the patio feeling quite frustrated today in fact there was a little accident with the
10:38fibre optic cable the fibre optic cable got run over by the compactor by mistake and so I needed to
10:46get
10:46that fixed as a priority because on Monday the concrete's getting poured over that patio which
10:54meant that I didn't get some other stuff done so now I'm just worried that next week um if I
11:02don't get
11:03these doors in time I don't know what Carlos and Martin are going to I don't know what they're going
11:11to be doing um because that was the plan for next week was to get those balcony doors done
11:26the next morning an old friend of John's who's holidaying in the area is popping round to say hello
11:41Liliana was married to hairy biker Dave Myers for more than a decade before he sadly passed away
11:47from cancer just over a year ago thank you lovely to give me so welcome thank you this is your
11:54is your
11:54new this is our building site while it's the first time Jasmine and Liliana have met John has known her
12:02for years having worked on Dave's cooking shows for around 15 years my friendship with Dave meant
12:08the world to me and he often spoke about Jazz and Lil meeting when he was alive which we never
12:14got
12:14around to doing so when Lil came over to see the house and to meet Jazz for the first time
12:18it was
12:18great I do admire what you started because it's not easy to start something in a new country have you
12:26done renovations yeah we've done done before and most of the time on my own really has it happened
12:32because they was working David was working oh my god have a beautiful home don't we yes now go and
12:44put
12:44all the curtains up Jamie Oliver doesn't have to do it in his house why should I remember very vividly
12:53when Dave called me with his cancer diagnosis and you know it it sort of blew me away and you
13:01know
13:01that was one of the reasons we decided to up sticks and live for the moment oh my god look
13:07at this face
13:09you like it it already looks like a home it's got a soul it's got it does doesn't it oh
13:16do you get
13:17that I do and you know if I was showing someone around this house I'd say listen you know you've
13:22got to realize there's a lot of work to be done here I'd probably warn them off but when we
13:26walked
13:27in we just thought it's got so much potential come and have a look at this little very inviting
13:33swimming pool well I can imagine how it's going to be when it's going to be inviting yeah have a
13:41dip our lemon tree or big lemons yeah that way it's like we're living an actual place in the sun
13:47episode it's an amazing space what's not to like about it oh it's good isn't it though it's all done
13:54to give the kids a adventure and yeah so it's you know life's too short and yeah well we know
14:00that
14:00don't we yeah we do I mean that was yeah exactly you know I know John lost a very good
14:08friend in Dave
14:10and I also lost a good friend around the same time John and I both lost friends to cancer Dave
14:20Myers
14:20was one of them Lil's husband and Johnny Irwin was the other Johnny and I started our careers in
14:28television together we kind of grew up together and in this industry and losing him and seeing him
14:36taken away so soon far far far too soon it's been so hard even harder for his wife and his
14:48family
14:52it just doesn't seem fair Johnny was always up for a laugh life and soul of the party
15:02for us it was kind of a bit of a wake-up call you think you have to do those
15:08things that you're
15:08dreaming about I know that Dave was always the one who would say go for it do it yeah yeah
15:14he never did
15:15anything by halves no no him Johnny there are me a hundred percent of the moments where you just go
15:21oh right you don't know what's around the corner and with that John and Liliana take a stroll down to
15:29the beach that house is all about the location that's the reason we bought telling I can totally
15:36understand why you and Jasmine chose this this corner of the world to be in living somewhere like
15:42this is a bit more about trying to have an outdoor lifestyle and you know get more exercise and as
15:49Dave knew I had run one or two marathons foolishly but I am I am planning to run this year's
15:58London
15:58Marathon to raise money for the Institute of Cancer Research oh my god it's massive thank you you're very
16:05welcome being able to run the London Marathon in memory of Dave and Jaz's friend Johnny is awesome
16:13it means a lot to me I've got three months to run along this beach and get ready for the
16:18Marathon as
16:19if I didn't have enough to do already being able to show Lil the house the plans and the beach
16:28with Dave
16:29having been such a driving force and factor for us coming out here it means it means a lot means
16:35a great deal so whilst I am super anxious about the fact I haven't really started training what a
16:41better place to train for marathon than here today we're gonna call Marcia she's an interior designer
17:07and um John's known her for years and years and years and they're good friends hello in Spanish
17:13I think there are always going to be some worries about using someone from the UK equally if we were
17:25using someone local we'd have different worries so I think it's just the question of finding someone
17:32that you trust and that you think we'll be able to listen to your requests and respond accordingly our
17:39priority today with Marcia I think is to look at the first floor mainly the kids bedrooms they have
17:47quite a strong opinion on what they want so we just need a bit of guidance from someone who knows
17:52better
17:53than we do this is our son's bedroom Albion's bedroom we are looking at putting a doorway just here in
18:00the corner he really likes this bed it's the only piece of furniture pretty much that we brought with
18:06us from the UK because he was so attached to it to be honest the interior stuff is the stuff
18:14that I get
18:14really much more excited about I love to be able to choose all the different little details and just enjoy
18:23finding little amazing things that are just perfect for that space his idea for his bedroom
18:31and these are his words Marcia he said he wants it to look like a rainbow has vomited in his
18:39room
18:42it'll make it feel like home for them because they've been moved to another completely different
18:48landscape completely different country that will be bears this is something they've done so that's
18:53Albie's room so that gives you plenty to think on I think with that loads I'm hoping that she's
19:01got the vision to be able to do what we want here I'll take you through to Joy's room
19:11so you can have a look her idea is she wants a jungle theme I think we can make it
19:17look really
19:18amazing with lots of plants and she wants to have a kind of hammock for all her soft toys
19:26that's amazing now this is Joy's very own rooftop terrace it's huge big isn't it look for scale
19:37that's like LA that's like you know so she's got ideas for out here as well like maybe um those
19:45kind
19:45of hanging chairs so she can sit and read the leg chair yeah she she likes the idea of that
19:53something
19:54quite cozy and she's also mentioned um I don't know how feasible this is or how much we will
20:00indulge our children but she said she'd like a river out here but maybe some yeah I'm thinking a river
20:07might be a water feature I'm thinking I'm thinking water feature these rooms that we've just shown you
20:13are our first priority mainly because none of them need much architectural change I think it's an
20:19amazing amazing house it's such a lovely find so I'm really excited for you thank you thanks Marcia
20:27we thought if anyone can help if anyone can help you can thank you see you later bye adios
20:33we had a really really constructive video call we talked about the different styles and the different
20:39things that we envision happening in each room so hopefully we'll get some quite nice designs
20:47back to the build and the lack of materials such as the door needed to connect Albion's bedroom to
20:53the balcony is starting to cause hold-ups we are very inexperienced with renovations and you know I
21:04just found out what a balcony door is called it's a balconera I didn't know that so I was searching
21:09online but not searching for the right thing so the whole thing has been a learning curve
21:16however there's no time as Jasmine's got to head off to work for a few days leaving John and Carlos
21:22to
21:22muddle through this afternoon we were slightly a lack of things to do so rather than sit around and not
21:34do anything we've decided to rip out a family bathroom in anticipation of fitting the new bathroom
21:40suite the new tiles etc the only small issue is we haven't chosen a new bath suite new tiles etc
21:48yet
22:02despite already being pretty busy with work family life and of course a rather large home renovation
22:09John now has just a few months to train for the London Marathon
22:14I've done one or two long runs marathons before for charity and it's nice it's good to be able to
22:21do
22:21something in people's memory it's good to be able to it's good to let you know let their legacy raise
22:28a
22:28bit of money for charity and yeah and it's good John is running in honor of friends Dave Myers and
22:35Johnny Irwin I also think running is very good for mental health it's good to get out and get out
22:43and
22:43have the motivation to get out into the fresh air and run come on come on Astro let's do it
22:50this
22:51training run is the first one I've probably been on in six months let's do it let's do it come
22:56on
22:58come on you always start you always start with a strong start Astro pulling me then you always end
23:04behind me first few kilometers are always trickiest to try and stop yourself from having a quick shuffle
23:12or a quick walk but yeah it'll be fine I am looking forward to my first run along the Paseo
23:23on the beach
23:24I mean what a better place to do one than here I managed to get sort of I think eight
23:33or nine
23:34kilometers in which is great considering I haven't trodden on the pavement for six months
23:44after a few days away on a place in the Sun shoot Jasmine's now back while John with the help
23:52of
23:52their builder Carlos has managed to fairly successfully gut the family bathroom I mean we
23:59had no plan in place for replacing the bathroom yet but hey who needs bathrooms a little surprise for
24:07me not quite sure how I feel about that it's fine because we did want to put in a new
24:13bathroom the
24:14problem is now we've got an empty bathroom and obviously we've got Carlos here we need to find
24:21things for him to do but we're just not ready we are not ready so it's a little bit stressing
24:27me
24:27out the plan today is for me and John to go and hopefully find some beautiful bathrooms tiles taps
24:37all the whole shebang we need everything I hate shopping unless it's online I'm not a massive fan of
24:44shopping now oh wow look at these bit you bling very very custard our soul gold tile but that yeah
24:57that color force it I love that though I won I don't know but that kind of color tap honestly
25:04it's giving
25:06me a headache already I think the problem that I have is you know I think the grass is always
25:13greener
25:13so I might see something really nice and then I think well I need to look around more I need
25:17to look
25:17around ten different shops to make sure I've got the exact right thing that I want and it's just so
25:22many options and they're all you know there's a lot of nice options this is why you need conviction this
25:29way you just need to make a decision on color this is no one had a floor you want and
25:34then you have
25:35and then you nail it down okay others just walk around aimlessly for hours can I have a quick look
25:40at just that the rest before I make my decision and you just follow along yep
25:56wood effect floor wood furniture it's not plumbed in I was I just have it my legs hurt after I
26:08run this
26:08morning having not enjoyed the first bathroom shop that much I was a glutton for punishment and agreed to
26:14go to a second bigger posher bathroom shop swanky mmm very posh if jazz is happy with how things
26:26look then then so be it let's let's crack on and buy it's all very dark very masculine sort of
26:36bathroom
26:37but I must say I like that tap do you have any preference for the style of the loose square
26:43round
26:45flat top I think our next step is to have a look at some of the brochures because there are
26:49loads of
26:51other things that they don't have in the stores you know there's no way they'd have room to display
26:56everything we need to order a lot back at the house it's the weekend and the kids need entertaining
27:14tomorrow morning the concrete truck is coming to fill in the new bit of patio and we thought it'd be
27:23a
27:23really fun idea to do a time capsule so we are together with the kids putting a few things in
27:30their little pictures and they're decorating some stones from this year which we think will be just
27:38quite fun and quite exciting I'm writing astro dog aged two and a half and the writing hazel cat
27:46um aged one dear finder my name is joy and I'm 11 years old and I live here in the
27:54Costa del Sol the
27:56current year is 2025 self-driving cars have been invented AI is growing fast and clothes skincare and
28:04makeup are increasingly expensive I hope that the planet still exists and mankind hasn't killed
28:09everything else joy we put a few coins in as well from our currency yeah credit card in I'm not
28:21putting
28:22my credit card in there we go the one day someone might find it that's exciting upstairs John surveying
28:34the now gutted bathroom and even without an actual design or bathroom to install it's been keeping Carlos
28:40busy we discovered there was flaky concrete and the walls were crumbling so we've since spent a
28:47couple of days getting cement back on the wall and making the walls good again so we can we can
28:53work
28:54from scratch so that's more time in the bathroom and more money in the bottom who are the next day
29:02with Jasmine off doing a bit of shopping John and the team are busy plan this morning is we're just
29:08waiting for a cement truck to deliver a pile of cement so that we can pour in the slab of
29:13this patio at the
29:14front time capsule goes in there until the next generation of people to renovate this house find
29:21it it turns out the empty cement mixer is a slightly more skilled job than I may have given it
29:28credit for
29:29but then again don't think you're supposed to do it it turns out with just one wheelbarrow and a couple
29:39of
29:39those big squidgy rubber top things I'm trying to understand but I think when they came around to
29:45look at it they said they were going to bring the channel so that it would just pour into the
29:50pour onto the slab that definitely hasn't happened and now we've got a patio full of cement in the
29:57wrong place Carlos seemed very chilled about it given we had copious amounts of cement pouring
30:16towards us down a tube I was running around like a lunatic for the bucket panicking the outcome is what
30:26we wanted but getting there was not quite as straightforward goodbye time capsule there was
30:33definitely a moment of panic when I thought I was about to be covered in cement on the patio I
30:38thought
30:38I'd be buried not just the time capsule whatever happens we're ingrained in this property forever
30:43until another generation or civilization knocks this place down and finds tiny little Lego figure and a
30:53couple of stones as it's so thick it's going to take four or five days for that cement to dry
31:02but
31:02upstairs the family bathroom is now ready for Jasmine to make some solid plans we've been trying to figure
31:09out where everything's going to go in this bathroom so in Spain normally you have the entire
31:20bathroom tiled from floor to ceiling don't if we're going to do the whole room but yeah we're just trying
31:27to decide so I'm just marking it out to see how it's all going to look make sure everything's going
31:32to
31:32fit I hope I've got the measurements right I mean what could possibly go wrong and then basically straight
31:43along to there if it doesn't fit I will blame John
31:58reminds me of the old days in East London
32:04graffiti down the corridor the door to connect Albion's bedroom to the balcony has finally arrived
32:16and what can begin when we order the door that we're fitting today it said one to two days delivery
32:25I think in actual fact it took about eight or nine days delivery so we're kind of learning that we
32:31need
32:31to build in a big contingency when we order stuff and that not necessarily to believe what it says when
32:36we order it but it's fine it's really early days I mean it does look like I'm just standing here
32:46watching
32:46on that's kind of because that is exactly what I am doing
32:57the ambient already as soon as you walk in that room you're like wow lighter and not to sound like
33:05a
33:05place in the sun house hunter but that room is now lighter and brighter now we're going to try and
33:11make good and get the door in I say we and a few hours later the royal we have it
33:18fitting like a glove
33:20ready for the edges to be tidied up and painted
33:33what does every renovation need it needs someone end up in hospital with a fractured leg
33:43early on in the build last night went for an innocent game of paddle paddle tennis and somehow
33:51managed to take a nasty fall and fracture my left leg John's broken his leg in two places tibia and
34:02fibula it it doesn't seem possible or real that that sort of an injury could have happened whilst playing
34:14paddle how I've never broken anything in my life before and to be honest it's quite painful
34:23I'm currently in hospital waiting for the prognosis but it looks like they might have to operate and
34:28it looks like I might be immobile for quite a few weeks if not months a double break in the
34:37leg
34:37is extremely serious he's going to be out of action for everything
34:46indeed with so much ahead of them time and finances already stretched this could bring
34:52everything to a halt with nowhere else to turn jasmine calls on her mum
34:59when I told my mum on the phone that John had broken his leg she was so worried we had
35:08a chat put the
35:09phone down half an hour later she text me and said I've booked a flight and I was so grateful
35:18for her
35:19coming over I'm Basula I'm Jasmine Harmon's mum and as soon as I heard that her husband John had broken
35:30his leg really badly I was expecting to be needed
35:37if there's one person in your life that you can rely on it's your mum and my mum has 100
35:43% stepped up to the plate by saying she'll come out and help
35:48Well this is the first time I've seen the house and because John's in hospital and Jasmine's at work I've
35:57had to let myself in and take a tour on my own and it's fantastic I can see so much
36:05potential that I'm really pleased and excited that they're going to be so happy and this is their forever home
36:21she would drop everything to help family and to have someone so selfless my mum is just a lifesaver
36:33I can't even express how much that means to me I haven't got the words
36:39thanks thanks to you for coming
36:41it was the least I could do
36:44I'm so sorry for John
36:47I love my grandchildren my family and they always come first whatever else is going on
37:07the next morning with John set to stay in hospital for a few days waiting to have an operation
37:13and Jasmine booked to film an episode of A Place in the Sun a short drive up the coast
37:17the family slipped back into their routine
37:20I'm John now for today
37:24every time anyone's nice to me I start crying
37:31in my next door neighbour
37:32she just offered me she said do you need to borrow a wheelchair
37:37she said my auntie's got one
37:40I said yes please
37:41and I started crying
37:45when everyone's so nice
37:48I always think I can do it all
37:50but then
37:52sometimes
37:54something's got to give
37:55hasn't it
37:57yeah I'm not very good at accepting help either
38:00no
38:00are we control freaks?
38:03are we related?
38:05oh
38:05now can you go and do the next love laundry?
38:09mop the basement
38:10I've finished mopping the basement
38:13I haven't done the absolute
38:14a few days later
38:17and John is getting ready to come home with two months of bed rest in front of him
38:22it's four days after my unexpected tumble on a paddle court
38:27which is the last thing we needed
38:30I am now out of the operation
38:32and they've put pins in my left leg
38:35and as of today I am discharged
38:38however I am unable to walk
38:41so I'm just waiting for Jazz to finish work
38:44to come and pick me up
38:46renovating a house
38:47moving to Spain
38:50all of those things
38:51you can't really do it from being sat
38:53on a chair or in a wheelchair on a bed
38:56not easily anyway
38:57let's hope I clear this up soon
38:59let's hope
39:01old
39:02leg down there
39:03doesn't take so long
39:04to repair
39:06and I'm back knocking down walls
39:08sooner than we think
39:12there was no ambulance
39:13there was nothing
39:14I mean I had to go and pick him up in our car
39:17with his leg broken
39:20I mean it was really difficult
39:24didn't help the fact that it was pouring with rain
39:31I've actually got us in my frame
39:37we had to call in help from a few friends
39:40at the royal homecoming
39:43we feel very lucky and very grateful
39:46that we have made some amazing friends here
39:50who really stepped up to the plate
39:52hi guys thank you for being here to help
39:56the weather was awful
39:58it was treachery
40:00I mean it's so slippery that patio anyway
40:02so dangerous
40:03I thought oh he's going to slip
40:04he's had surgery less than 24 hours ago
40:08the red carpet
40:09I think it took at least half an hour
40:14if not 45 minutes
40:16to get John from the car
40:18to the front door
40:20the best will be if we hold you
40:22instead of you going
40:24I think we're going to need to move this out of the way
40:26yeah yeah yeah
40:27I mean when you've just broken your leg
40:29and you've had a metal rod put in there
40:31it's not exactly easy to get upstairs
40:35in the pouring rain
40:36without hurting yourself
40:38right
40:38so I'm going to get my butt onto that towel
40:41okay

41:04chair in
41:06chair

41:08don't
41:09give him a bit of help
41:10no no no no
41:11no no no
41:11there you go
41:12cool
41:13just gonna
41:17when we renovate the house
41:18should we put a ramp there
41:19yeah
41:22the whole experience was painful
41:24but the payoff
41:26was being at home
41:27in my own bed
41:28and most importantly
41:29with my kids
41:30I've got a bed in my gorgeous boy
41:32let's get you to bed
41:34sorry
41:34didn't port on you to sleep
41:37you've had lots of drama
41:38on late nights
41:40the moment of sitting in my bed
41:42and having my kids cuddle up to me
41:43was uh
41:44yeah it was pretty special
41:45it was worth the pain
41:48having never broken anything before
41:51I've gotten to the age of 45
41:53with a fairly clean bill of health
41:55I can hand on heart
41:56say
41:56that was very painful
41:59I genuinely didn't think
42:00that I would be
42:01putting my really poor level of Spanish
42:03to use so quickly
42:05at a medical hospital level
42:07I mean I'm not joking
42:09at one point I was having to try and use translate
42:12to work out how you say
42:14can I have another bottle to pee in please
42:17you know
42:18you don't learn that even on the best
42:20language apps
42:30the next day
42:31with John unable to leave his bed
42:33and Vasula in control of everything at home
42:36Jasmine is back on location
42:39prices have risen by as much as 20% over the last year
42:43oh sorry let me start again from the beginning
42:45it's okay
42:45I'm finding it hard to concentrate on work
42:49I think you know when you're away
42:50kind of out of sight out of mind
42:54but now I know he's just down the road
42:55I kind of
42:56I'm having trouble focusing
42:58a little bit at work
42:59I just want to sort of
43:00get everything done
43:02so that I can get back
43:03to him and to the kids
43:04no I do I love orange juice
43:06but it's a prop
43:07we're not allowed to drink it
43:08for a few days
43:09life carries on
43:11but with Jasmine's shoot
43:12coming to a close
43:14her mum is heading back to the UK
43:20quite sad to leave Jasmine tomorrow
43:24because I'm worried about Jazz being overworked
43:27and overwhelmed with the amount of work she will have to do
43:31to be honest
43:32this accident has thrown a little bit of a spanner in the works
43:36on the renovation
43:36because we were already on the back foot
43:40and trying to catch up with ourselves
43:42with ordering things
43:44having things delivered
43:45you know
43:45I have actually told Carlos just to have a break
43:49because I couldn't cope with
43:53the renovation
43:55with work
43:55with the kids
43:56with you know
43:58going to the hospital
43:59looking after John
44:00so I just paused everything
44:02the downside of that
44:04is obviously
44:05we would love to have the place finished
44:08by the summer
44:11but this might mean that
44:14it's going to take a lot longer
44:19my dad has come over
44:22for a working holiday
44:24look at this wall
44:28Laura is a friend of mine
44:31basically we're doing stucco plastering
