00:00They need the secondary scoring behind Tatum and Brown, and they're just not getting it.
00:04And I think 12 times have Celtics scored 15-plus points this series.
00:09Ten of them have been by Tatum and Brown, two of them by Pritchard.
00:11No one else has scored 15 points in a game.
00:13It's crazy.
00:13That's ridiculous.
00:14It's not a winning formula.
00:16It might be something that you can get away with against the Sixers, but against a team
00:19like the Knicks, that's not going to work.
00:21You need a third scorer.
00:21What's odd is Derek White is now the third or fourth scorer, I guess, depending on how
00:26you view Pritchard off the bench.
00:27But during the regular season, we looked at him and were like, hey, here's an opportunity
00:30for you to maybe be the second scorer all the season.
00:33I thought he'd be up for the challenge.
00:34And he wasn't, at least as far as shooting was concerned.
00:37He wasn't.
00:37He kind of maintained his career averages or his Celtics averages.
00:42And now you look at him, and it's gotten even worse.
00:45We're like, Tatum's back now.
00:47Tatum's healthy.
00:48So now we're not really relying on you.
00:50You don't even have to score 20 or 16 a game.
00:53It can be less than that.
00:55And if you look at just this three-point shot in the series, by game, he was 2 of 7,
00:592 of
01:0010, 1 of 8.
01:01Then in the blowout win game 4, he was 2 of 4.
01:04And then last night, he was 0 of 4.
01:06And it seems to be really in his head.
01:10So is this something that Missoula's going to be able to get him to shoot his way out
01:14of it?
01:14Or is he also, it seems like he's in a spot now where he's passing up good shots, too,
01:19because he knows he's not hitting them.
01:20I think it's 13 in the last two games.
01:23He's not shooting.
01:23He took only 8 yesterday.
01:24And we've seen some games in the playoffs, even like a year ago, where he would, I thought
01:30he was taking too many threes.
01:31He was taking 15 shots in 12 or 3.
01:35Yeah, see, I'm with Keefe on this term.
01:36I think he's afraid to shoot, or it's in his head, or something like that.
01:39It's 100% in his head.
01:40And that's a big deal, because, again, he deserves a ton of credit for the other stuff
01:45that he's doing, but they need him to score.
01:47And throughout his postseason career with the Celtics, that's been a big part of what he
01:51does.
01:51And just think about all these big, shyme shots he's hit for them.
01:54Before this year, he had shot almost 40% from 3 as a Celtic in the playoffs.
01:59Like, that has been such a key formula to their success, is him knocking down those shots.
02:04But, I mean, this was supposed to change when Jason Tatum came back.
02:07Remember when Tatum came back?
02:08We did an emergency pure hoops.
02:09We were talking about how Derek White is going to be the most beneficial of this, because he's
02:14not going to be taking the pull-up threes anymore.
02:15It's going to be more catch-and-shoot, those in-rhythm shots that he's been so good at.
02:19But that was supposed to change with Jason Tatum.
02:21That was supposed to change with Jason Tatum.
