11:06So you can tell he's in that spot to where he feels like he has that pace.
11:09He can close that gap whenever.
11:11So it really just comes down to when he wants to make that move.
11:14We talked about it earlier in the heat races.
11:16When you get there, you've got to jump on that guy.
11:18You know Kenny's probably going to fight back.
11:20So wherever you do it, make sure it's in the spot.
11:22Kenny can't retaliate and slow this race down for you.
11:25That's right.
11:25You can't have an attempted fail.
11:27Close call right there by Tristan Lane.
11:30Kenny almost ran into him.
11:32But look at that right side.
11:34See where Hunter was at.
11:35I believe that's going to be a really good opportunity for Hunter.
11:38If he can be close to make a move.
11:40But I go back to fitness and how is that going to play a part?
11:48This is fascinating.
11:50Watching the ebb and flow between these two.
11:53And that gap kind of expand and contract.
11:57Who is playing the better game here?
11:59Is it Roxen out in front or is it Hunter Lawrence just biding his time?
12:03And you talk about game, Lee.
12:05And I believe this, James.

12:08And what is the game plan?

12:14A mistake by Roxen.

12:17And Lawrence was there to pounce.
12:19Now Roxen comes back.

12:24Roxen can't set him up for a move there.
12:26Hunter Lawrence in the lead of this race.
12:29Yeah, Kenny slid off of that little single on the inside.
12:33And he looked back almost as if something happened.
12:35And he was very respectful to Hunter Lawrence.
12:38He ran there.
12:38He could have ran in a lot harder, Ricky.
12:40Kenny's a quality guy.
12:41But these next couple laps are going to be so key.
12:44Ken is normally so explosive.
12:47Not only beginning of the race, but to be able to get back by it.
12:50But watch what happens.
12:51Ken gets a little sideways right there.
12:53He's going to come out of this 90 sideways under braking.
12:56Yeah, he just slid off.
12:58And he must have looked back because he thought Hunter might have been on the outside.
13:01I'm not really sure.
13:01But he could have punted Hunter off the racetrack.
13:04I think even Hunter was kind of surprised that he didn't do it.
13:07But just showed you how much respect Kenny Roxen has.
13:09But there's that gap.
13:11Now look at this.
13:12Hunter Lawrence says, thank you.
13:14That was a gift and I'm going to take off.
13:16There's no pressure on Ken Roxen from Justin Hill whatsoever.
13:20So this is comfort zone.
13:22If he doesn't have anything in response to Hunter Lawrence,
13:26it's still going to be a good result that keeps him within one point of the championship lead.
13:31a lot of racing left.
13:32But you talk about the mental side a lot, James.
13:35And I have to say, if Hunter is able to get this win and take it down to the checker,
13:43the confidence that that's going to give him going into these next four rounds,
13:47I just think would be.
13:50Roxen's dropped it.
13:51Oh, he's got to kick it too.
13:53Oh, it gets back fired back quick.
13:56This race is unraveling for Ken Roxen.
13:59Oh, there goes Cooper Webb.
14:02Justin Hill is second.
14:03Webb is third.
14:04Roxen demoted to fourth.
14:06That was right before the finish line.
14:08So we heard the crowd.
14:10I'm really not sure where he was.
14:12I'm not sure how he ended up that way.
14:15Maybe over-rotated the corner or something coming out.

14:20We've seen a couple of those moments, right?
14:22And he just, even on the bike, just really stiff.
14:24that dude, it seems like he's, I don't know, not, maybe not as energetic.

14:29Even before, you know, he went down.
14:32A little lethargic on the bike, but you never know.
14:36Six minutes to go, plus a lap.
14:38I don't know.
14:39What do you see, James?
14:40Well, I mean, he came out firing.
14:42I mean, we saw him get around Hunter, made those kind of passes.
14:45And it looked like Ken Roxen.
14:47I just got to go back to just on the mental side.
14:50either we admit something, maybe he hurt himself, overjumped something,
14:53and he's kind of dealing with that.
14:54Or you got to look at the championship.
14:57You know what I mean?
14:58Like that pressure of being there.

15:04and Roxen is just to the right of your screen.
15:06This is going to be close for those next two spots on the podium,
15:10with Hunter Lawrence leering out to a whopping 16-plus second lead.

16:44So, the defending Monster Energy AMA Supercross champion in the 450 class is up to second,
16:52and a much needed second at that.
16:56He had a really great run of podiums there mid-season,
17:00and then he's been absent from the podium the last three rounds.
17:03This will be a welcome relief return.
17:06Yep.
17:08But speaking of podium, look at that number 14 on the Ducati race of Dylan Ferrandez.
17:14This podium might be for him as well.

17:26Dylan Ferrandez is relishing this opportunity.

19:22Points-wise, Roxton is 10 adrift of Hunter Lawrence now as they run with a minute plus a lap to

19:28in this 450 main.
19:30The 26-year-old Australian bottom box, Hunter Lawrence on the Honda HRC progressive machine.
19:38He's looking at his fourth win on the season.
19:40He had never won a 450 main until this year.
19:44Can he win his first 450 main and a 450 title in the same year?
19:49There's some legendary names in the sport like Bob Hanna and David Bailey and Jeff Stanton, Jeremy McGrath,
19:56Jed Lawrence and others who have accomplished that feat.
19:59Hunter could add his name to that list in just four races time.
20:03What an absolutely epic ride by the number 96 of Hunter Lawrence on that factory Honda HRC.
20:10That fall that he took two weeks ago in Detroit, he backs it up with the podium.
20:15and then now an absolutely dominant ride.
20:19By this time, it's by the man.
20:23Quality, quality ride.
20:24No, I agree with you on that.
20:27And I would say every one of his wins this year.
20:30Right.
20:30And then like straight up, he's beat the guy.
20:32So talk about leaving to yourself.
20:35He's got it done.
20:35But this race ain't over, dude.
20:38Well, look, I like to go back and think about the history that riders have in certain locations.
20:43This is where Hunter Lawrence clinched his 250 East Division title.
20:48This is a special place to this guy.
20:51And we just had his younger brother, Jed, in the booth with us,
20:55talking about what he's seen his brother accomplish this year.
20:58And how he's seen his older brother grow and move into a different echelon of the sport,
21:04which is that brotherly pride.
21:07But this is big time for Hunter Lawrence.
21:10One lap to go before he extends his championship lead and wins for the fourth time this year.
21:17Cooper Webb is eight and a half seconds back.
21:19Ken Rockson, you're watching on your screen, is in third with Chase Sexton chasing.
21:24And then Dylan Ferrandez is poised to get the Red Bull Troy Lee-designed Ducati bike,
21:29its best result in its maiden season.
