Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh): A controversy erupted during the three-day ‘Rashtra Hanuman Katha’ event led by Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, after a woman alleged that she was manhandled by security personnel while trying to enter the pandal.

The incident occurred on the final day of the event, which witnessed the presence of hundreds of thousands of devotees. According to the woman, she was stopped at the entry gate by bouncers despite requesting permission to enter.

She alleged that the security staff pushed her away and dragged her by the arm, causing scratches on her hands and back. “I sustained injuries due to the behaviour of the bouncers,” she said.

The woman further claimed that she is a review officer in the High Court and warned of legal action against those involved. She had reportedly come to attend the Katha and present a petition at Bageshwar Baba’s court.

Following the commotion, police reached the spot and brought the situation under control.

The incident has raised questions over crowd management and security arrangements at large religious gatherings. No official statement from the event organisers or police regarding action against the security personnel has been issued so far.
