01:08for game two of this best of seven series.
01:11The Magic surprising everybody with that victory in game one.

01:18All five starters for Orlando scored in double figures for Detroit.
01:22All 39 for Cade Cunningham, but certainly not enough.
01:26And this, what has been a magical red-hot season,
01:29had a little cold water thrown on it on Sunday for the Pistons.
01:32They were off for a week and then were beaten on their home floor,
01:36which has been such a tough place.
01:37Meanwhile, for the Orlando Magic, quite the turnaround the last ten days.
01:41They had that awful final regular season game.
01:43Then they lost in their opening play-in game
01:46before they completely destroyed Charlotte
01:49and had one of the surprise victories of the playoffs in game one
01:53here on Sunday in Detroit.
01:56And, guys, we talked about this before.
01:57This is one of the great crowds in the NBA.
02:00They were so fired up before game one.
02:02And they're fired up tonight.
02:03But you can almost feel the nervousness with the fans, Richard.
02:06Oh, you can.
02:07And when you have that loss and then all of a sudden this energy.
02:11But that nervousness goes into amazement.
02:14If your team can come out and hit first,
02:16they are waiting for a reason to explode,
02:19especially if you know this Detroit Pistons crowd.
02:21I think the start is key in this situation
02:24because the building is going to start to feel the anxiety
02:26if you dig yourself a hole.
02:28Look, these two teams are built the same way.
02:30They want to play the same style.
02:31It's going to be physical.
02:32It's going to be played in the paint and on the backboards.
02:35In game one, it was the Orlando Magic
02:37who played closer to their ceiling.
02:40You know, the Pistons during the course of the regular season,
02:43best record in the East, 60 wins.
02:45They were 32-9 here on their home floor.
02:49The Magic, meanwhile, were not a good road team.
02:51They were under .500 during the regular season
02:54but had the most impressive road win of the playoffs so far.
02:58They're going to throw it up again.

03:39And, Legs, you talked about Duren being one of the most important pieces to this game.

03:48does that impact his aggressiveness moving forward?
03:50What's tough about that is this, you know,
03:52Franz Wagner is not like a drop-dead three-point shooter.
03:54You don't need to close out with that level of aggressiveness.

05:25Neither one of these teams is going to necessarily light it up from out there.

05:48I thought he was the really understated star of the game,

06:01and had a lot to do with Durin's night.

07:17But you have a smaller defender on you, and you end up picking up the ball

15:33and what he's thinking because they did underachieve, but he said,

16:10But you also have to make sure that it's intelligent when you do it.
16:13And that open floor, Suggs is waiting for a bump.
16:16As soon as he feels that bump, he's going to fall.

16:23Suggs from the free throw line this season, 85%, an excellent free throw shooter.
16:27He was telling us before the game, during the course of the season,
16:30especially down the stretch, this team, they had conversations.
16:34The team got together and there was a lot of venting.
16:36A lot of looking to try and find solutions.
16:38They knew that they weren't reaching their potential.
16:42But Suggs was saying, this is a competitive group.
16:44We thought if we could just get there, we could do something.
16:48One of the things that disrupted that the last two years was injuries.
16:52I mean, how little time they've had, Bancaro and Wagner, together.
16:56They addressed the shooting in the offseason by bringing in Desmond Bain,
16:59but they still had large chunks of time without their top two offensive players,
17:04those big forwards, on the floor together.
17:06When they are, you see what they can do offensively because the defense is always there.
17:11Suggs, Bancaro, and Wagner only played 19 games together this season.

41:22I mean, he has had stretches where he's hit a drought, but he has worked on it, stayed confident.
41:27He told us before the game how good he felt, the rhythm he had, how confident he was going into

41:33Cunningham had that great early start that I thought everybody fed off of.
41:38And now here he is again tonight, knocking down threes.
41:41Cunningham, the first overall pick in the draft back in 2021.
41:45In his first three years in the league, the Pistons lost 59 games, 65 games, and 68 games.
41:53And he said it was so difficult going through that.
41:56But because he was still, even though it was young, he was the leader.
41:59He had to keep a positive presence, and it wasn't easy sometimes.
42:03Of course, last year they had that terrific turnaround, and this year one of the best teams in the NBA.
42:08He is for a young guy.
42:10He's one of the great leaders in the NBA, just 24 years old.
42:14Duncan Robinson pokes it in the backcourt.

43:49I mean, you had the entire starting five in double figures for the Orlando Magic.
43:52Two guys in double figures for the Detroit Pistons.
43:55And one of them was Tobias Harris, who didn't even have a good shooting night,
43:58but still had at least a decent number to support Cunningham.
