00:08The launch of the mathematics and English virtual textbooks were held at the Moruga Secondary School this morning.
00:14MP for Moruga Tablan praised the rollout saying it not only saves on cost,
00:19but the avatar-assisted learning on the government laptops can eliminate the need for extra lessons.
00:27It will ease the burden on parents, and to me, that in itself is a great accomplishment.
00:35When September comes, parents no longer have to rush to purchase books.
00:41It will also ease the physical burden on students having to tote these heavy books.
00:49Minister of Education, Dr. Michael Dowlat, says parents will save between $1,000 to $1,500 per child when all
00:57six are available for the next two.
00:59Well, we are launching the first two of our AI-assisted digital books for Form 1 students.
01:12And what is most important, all of these digital textbooks can work offline.
01:20At the end of this term, we are adding four more digital books.
01:26Science, IT, Information Technology, Social Studies, and Spanish.
