🚀 The most anticipated capital ship in Star Citizen history is almost here… and it might change everything.
The Anvil Odin, also known as The Battlecruiser, is set to be revealed at this year’s Invictus Launch Week, and in this video, we break down everything we know—and everything we can realistically expect—from this mysterious final concept ship by Cloud Imperium Games.
As the last unrevealed stretch goal ship, and potentially the final concept sale ever, the Odin carries massive expectations. Will it surpass the legendary Aegis Javelin? Could it combine the firepower of a destroyer with the versatility of a carrier like the Aegis Idris?
In this video, we explore:
• Why the Odin could be larger than the Javelin (600m+ capital ship theory)
• The possibility of a dedicated hangar bay and onboard fighter support
• A full breakdown of its potential design, inspired by the Anvil Carrack
• Strategic design choices, including bridge placement, armor considerations, and turret coverage
• A speculative look at how Anvil Aerospace might evolve its design language for its biggest ship ever
From structural redesigns to tactical advantages, this is a deep dive into what could become the most powerful and versatile capital ship in Star Citizen.
If you’re excited about the future of capital ships, fleet gameplay, and large-scale warfare in Star Citizen, this is one video you don’t want to miss.
đź’¬ What are your expectations for the Anvil Odin? Should it outperform the Javelin, or carve its own unique role?

00:00The Anvil Odin, also known as the Battlecruiser, is scheduled to be revealed in less than a month
00:05at this year's Invictus Fleet Launch Week. And while little is known about this ship,
00:10apart that it is the last place ship from the stretch goals that hasn't been revealed yet and
00:14that it would be the last concept ever sold by CIG, we don't really know much about it.
00:21There are, however, a couple of things that we can assume about this upcoming capital ship.
00:29First, it is very likely that the ship will be larger than the Aegis Javelin. With a length of 475m,
00:37a width of 210m and a height of 70m, the Javelin is a force to be reckoned with.
00:43The ship is a destroyer. It is equipped with some of the largest weapons in the game but unlike an
00:49Idris,
00:50it does not have a hangar, which means it is not capable of carrying its own fighter squadrons.
00:57Sold originally at $2500, it now shows a price tag of $3000 whenever it goes on sale again.
01:07The Odin should logically be larger than this. I would imagine it to be at least 600m long and
01:15possibly 250m wide and I believe that it might even surpass 100m in height.
01:22But unlike the Javelin, I think that the Odin should have a hangar, which should allow it to
01:29include the best of the Idris and the Javelin all combined into a single hull.
01:36So, what would the Odin look like? This is the part that I think may age like butter,
01:42but I think that just like other ships of different manufacturers inspired one another,
01:46I don't think that the Odin should be much different, stylistically at least,
01:50from what Anvil already makes. And since their largest ship is the Karak,
01:55I think that we can take it as a base and then try to see how it would change.
02:01First, there is no way that the bridge is going to be at the front of the ship.
02:05It would be way too exposed and would prevent the captain from having a good overview of the ship,
02:10so we are going to cover that front here.
02:15Next, we are going to remove those wings on the side.
02:17They make the ship look way too fragile and since the ship is much bigger than the Karak,
02:22there are going to be plenty of opportunities to put turrets on other areas of the hull.
02:28Alright, we still have the frame of the Karak. Let's stretch the ship to make it look like it really
02:33is
02:34600 meters long. Yeah, that is much better. After that, we are going to add a bridge on top,
02:42just like this. The bridge is going to include some key components like shields and maybe the radars.
02:47Just like in a famous sci-fi saga, it will therefore be a target that friendlies will have to defend.
02:55We don't want to make the Odin invincible after all.
02:59Last but not least, the hangar, which will not be at the front of the ship but on the side.
03:05I am personally not a big fan of the front and back hangars because they leave the fighters exposed
03:12to frontal assaults. I would rather have the fighters leave from the side and I also think
03:17that it prevents the ship from looking a little bit too bulky at the front.
03:23So, there we have it. This is how the Anvil Odin could look like. I've added wing legs here on
03:28the
03:28side here to make it look a bit more organic but it could also look more wedge shaped. I would
03:33love
03:33the back to use the same kind of blue round shaped engines of the Karak. I think that it would
03:38be
03:38very reminiscent of another iconic sci-fi capital ship. So, how much would it cost? Well, since the
03:46Javelin is currently priced at US$3,000. I think that the Odin will be priced, at least at the
03:52very
03:52first time it will be sold, at US$3,500. A little bit above the Javelin. And then, as always,
04:00as time
04:00goes on, as concepts evolve, the ship is going to get more expensive. Maybe around US$4,500 or even
04:08US$5,000.
04:09I know that these prices sound really crazy and, of course, not everybody is going to be able to
04:15afford some of those ships. But at the same time, it's going to be available in-game, just like you
04:20can earn an Idris in-game if you work hard for it right now. So, I'm not too worried about
04:25this. Plus,
04:26at the same time, the amount of manpower it's going to require to fully crew is going to be quite
04:30insane.
04:31So, even if some people have a battle cruiser here, they are not going to be able to fly it
04:36solo.
04:37These are ships that are for passive orgs. And there are some orgs in which members put money
04:42together to buy such assets. So, that is it for this video. Let me know what you guys think of
04:47what the Odin should be. Do you think I am completely off what it could possibly be? Or maybe you
04:53have
04:53other ideas about what the Odin might be or what it might cost? Let me know in the comment section
