00:00Alright guys, we've got a ton of Star Citizen news and updates to discuss, so without further
00:04do, let's get started.
00:10First, there is a new freefly event happening right now, so if you haven't picked a copy
00:15of Star Citizen, now is the chance to try the game for free for the next 2 weeks.
00:20Obligatory reminder here, this game is still in early access alpha phase, meaning that
00:25the game is not feature complete and is still quite buggy.
00:28That being said, there has never been this much content to enjoy and it's possible to
00:34spend endless hours pursuing your own goals in the game universe, doing basically whatever
00:39you want.
00:39So if you are considering jumping in, there is currently a discounted $45 Aurora Mark II package
00:46that in my opinion is offering the best value for your money possible.
00:50I've recently made a review of the Aurora Mark II on the channel and you can watch it
00:55right here and that combined with the referral code right there is going to get you a bonus
01:00of 50,000 credits in game when you are starting which is going to be giving you the best possible
01:06start for such an entry level price point.
01:08By the way, shoutout to Juccal80, Odaiba, DragonX1, Dudec94 and TheFC05 for using it and to honor
01:20your contribution, I've decided to place that Big Benny's vending machine I got from you guys
01:25in my hangar right next to my fabricators.
01:27Well, yeah, I think it looks cool.
01:30But in addition to the Free Fly event, there is also a Captains of Industry sale which celebrates
01:36industrial ventures in the game and I think that there couldn't be a better time than
01:40now to have such a sale, now that crafting is up and running.
01:45Of course, a lot of players have taken an interest in mining and creating their own gear.
01:50I have myself created an F55 SMG with plus 5% damage and minus 14% recoil which, if you
01:58are familiar with this gun's terrible recoil, is huge so I'm pretty happy with it.
02:04And with mining comes transport as well, because you're going to have to transport all of that
02:09ore that you'll refine and that is why CIG have put all of these mining and transport
02:14ship for sale, including a discounted Drake Golem game package.
02:18So, if mining is your cup of tea here, well, you might eventually take this one, although
02:23I would recommend taking the Aurora and then rent a mining ship in-game with in-game money
02:29if you want to try mining, but that's just my personal opinion here.
02:34CIG are also selling all of their industrial ships, including the Hermes, the Hall C, the
02:39massive Hall E and even the Pioneer which will allow you to craft the largest player-based
02:44module and even some ships.
02:46It's basically going to be a mobile factory and it will be a must-have for any org that
02:52will try to get serious business going here and I'm quite sour to finally see it not being
02:57sold out and having to spare money for my new PC this year.
03:02Noooooooooooo.
03:04Oh well.
03:05Making its way to the verse along this sales event is the much anticipated MISC Hall B.
03:11The Hall B is branded as a medium cargo hauler, but really, if you consider his impressive
03:16cargo capacity of 512 SCU, which is almost as much as the Drake Caterpillar's 576 SCU, I
03:25think we could consider it a large hauler, even though it still fits in a medium hanger, according
03:30to what CIG told us in their last Behind the Ships episode.
03:34I personally love the looks of the ship and I think that they have refined some of the
03:40design flaws of previous MISC ships.
03:42The first thing that comes to mind is, of course, the visibility from the cockpit, which was
03:48quite terrible in previous MISC ships here, but it seems to be much better with the Hall
03:53B.
03:54It's still not ideal, but it's definitely a much needed improvement, especially if you
03:59compare it to other ships of the brand like the Freelancer series, for example.
04:04The ship also features two tractor beams which will allow easy loading and unloading as well
04:09as some limited defensive capabilities, which I don't really think matter, because when
04:14you are flying such a ship, you want to avoid conflict at all costs.
04:18Speaking of cost, CIG sells the Hall B at a whopping $260 with fresh money, $280 if you
04:26are using store credits, and if you bought the ship in 2015, 11 years ago, at $90, well congratulations,
04:33you made a heck of a good deal back in those days.
04:37Of course, I will make a dedicated review video about the Hall B on the channel so make
04:42sure to subscribe and hit the notification bell to be notified when that video comes out.
04:47But the Hall B didn't come alone.
04:49There is also a new little vehicle from Craycat Industrial called the UTV which is basically
04:55a pickup truck which can carry one SCU in the back and two passengers in the front.
05:00I think that this little vehicle will be very useful when we will have delivery missions
05:05within single zones or if you are loading or unloading with a friend inside a large hangar.
05:12I think that it looks very cute and I wouldn't be surprised to see you make an appearance at
05:17the Daymar rally as well.
05:18The price starts at $35 with fresh money and $40 with store credits.
05:26And finally, let's end the video with the latest roadmap update which revealed additional
05:31cards for Star Citizen Alpha 4.8.
05:34Leading the charge are the new Tactical Strike Groups, a multi-objective fleet-based combat experience
05:40which we have seen at last year's Digital CitizenCon and is designed to encourage coordination
05:45between different ship roles, resource management and on-site support for both pilots and FPS
05:51players.
05:53Supporting this feature are the QV extraction stations in the NIC system which will act as
05:57key operational hubs expanding the universe with meaningful infrastructure.
06:02On the gameplay side, new Defend Location Space missions add urgency and complexity by tasking
06:08players with protecting critical assets like fuel tanks against NPC assaults.
06:12CIG also said that we will have to juggle with different objectives so I could imagine
06:16that perhaps we would have to also escort ships out of the area while also making sure that
06:22the assets are not destroyed.
06:23And I really love here that we are going to get multiple objectives within missions.
06:28I think that's going to really add additional drama and also maybe the need to have multiple
06:34people for these missions, it's going to be really hard to do them alone.
06:39Meanwhile, customization also gets attention here with new hairstyles and beard updates,
06:44Plan 4 4.8 and combat is going to receive a tactical boost here with the XR Plasma Grenade
06:50which is an area denial tool which is going to be ideal for controlling engagements.
06:55And of course, all of these features are currently marked as tentative, meaning that they could eventually
06:59be delayed to a further patch.
07:03Overall, this update reflects steady progress for Star Citizen with a clear focus on expanding
07:07gameplay loops, supporting industrial activities and introducing more structured group content.
07:13The free fly and ongoing sales make the game more accessible of course, while new additions
07:18like the Hall B and the Greycat UTV and the upcoming 4.8 features show continued development
07:23across multiple areas of the game, which is a nice change compared to last year's year
07:27of playability, where pretty much not much was happening.
07:31So I'm really happy to see here that the floodgates seems to be opening and the cotton
07:35seems to be coming faster than I had anticipated.
07:38So that's awesome.
07:40Anyway, that is all for this video.
