00:00We have literally received a ton of information in the last Star Citizen monthly report regarding
00:04the future direction of the game and what we should be expecting in the near future.
00:09So let's get started and take a look at what we should be anticipating for the next couple of months.
00:18And we are starting with NPCs and it looks like they are going to be able to open doors and
00:24airlocks.
00:25I think that outdoor environments have always been a weak point for NPCs,
00:29but it's true that CIFG have improved their traversal abilities recently.
00:33For example, if you leave your ship open,
00:36hostile NPCs may board it and hunt you down in your own ship,
00:40and with the ability to open doors, they will become even more dangerous.
00:45This could also open the gates to NPCs populating outposts which desperately still feel lifeless
00:51after all these years and it's about time that we see civilians doing their own things at these
00:55locations. Eventually, they will come with ships, land, leave their ships, buy and sell commodities,
01:02and leave, but we are still very far from that vision since they are still learning to open doors,
01:08apparently. It seems that these efforts are made in combination with efforts to release Starkitect
01:14this year, which is a tech designed to procedurally populate planets. NPCs are also going to gain the
01:20ability to perform melee actions, which is awesome. I would love to get into a fist fight or a knife
01:26fight with NPCs. I would see the situation plausible when they run out of ammo and choose to keep on
01:32fighting instead of running away. Hey, if CIG gets creative, we could even have MMA or wrestling matches
01:39in those rings that the developers have created, which would be a ton of fun in my opinion.
01:45But that's not all for NPCs. Physical mission givers are making further progress. More work was done on
01:52Reiko Betaglia, the mission giver that we used to have at Levski and who is scheduled to return this year.
01:59It looks like she will be accompanied by two assistants, Isaac Kepler and Amir Lukas, but no
02:06further details were given about these two. I just hope that they will be physically present around Levski
02:11and not just characters on screen like everyone else.
02:16But before we move on to ships and vehicles, a quick word about our giveaway. This month,
02:21I'm giving away three prizes. YouTube subscribers who comment to any videos posted this month can
02:26get a chance to win an Aurora Mark II. If you join our Gleam contest, you are in for a
02:30chance to get
02:31a Golem OX. Patreon and YouTube members, in addition to having automatic access to the Aurora,
02:36can also win an Atlas Geo. All the links are going to be found in the description.
02:41So, moving on to ships and vehicles. There's nothing much that we didn't know in the monthly report.
02:48DefenseCon is around the corner and CIG have already shown pictures of upcoming ships,
02:53including the Drake Pitbull, Aegis Tiburon, Misk Starlight and Origin M80. And by the time I release
03:00this video, we might even see more pictures of other ships, like perhaps the new Kruger Medium Fighter.
03:07However, these are not the only ships that CRG are working on. There are more ships in the White
03:13Box and Grey Box phases that are still unannounced and that I believe we will see at this year's
03:17Intergalactic Aerospace Expo. One ship that is entering Grey Box phase is the Drake Kraken.
03:24And while the Kraken will not release this year, CRG have already confirmed that, we cannot rule out the
03:30possibility of the exterior of the ship to be present at this year's Intergalactic Aerospace Expo,
03:35just like what they did with the Polaris when it was in development.
03:41Next, we will talk about gameplay a little bit and it seems like we are about to craft vehicle components.
03:46For those who tried Alpha 4.8 PTU, which is going to release to live next week,
03:51this is not a surprise because the blueprints are already being given as mission rewards and it looks
03:56like the ability to craft these components is coming really soon and I'm really excited for this as
04:00it's going to give us even more reasons to play the game. But even more exciting is the progress made
04:07on Starware. Starware, which was confirmed in the last episode of Inside Star Citizen to be coming
04:12this year. And it's going to give us the ability to mix armour and clothing together, which is going to
04:19give some really cool combinations and our characters are going to look even better than they currently do.
04:24As far as I'm concerned, as a machinima maker, this is absolutely perfect as it's really going to
04:30allow us to fulfill the visual vision we have for our characters on screen and I cannot wait for it
04:35to finally arrive. After that, there was a huge part about the work done on tech and I'm going to
04:43skip most of the details here because it's very technical and in the end what we care about is
04:47whether the game works or not. It's worth noting, however, that social tools are progressing at the
04:53devs are working on improving the chat system along with the friend system and the party system.
04:58These are systems that do need top priority, in my opinion, as it happens a lot that friends don't
05:04see each other online and that party members don't see party markers, which is very problematic when
05:09playing in groups. We also have an update on Server Machine, which apparently got an update in order to
05:16be more robust with how the game works and that's good news because we've seen a lot of instability
05:20lately with the return of the 30k error so it looks like the devs are actively working on fixing that.
05:27Last but not least, we will finish with tech art and animation and it looks like we might be getting
05:33Titan suits soon. CIG did not directly say that but they mentioned that they are working on a super heavy
05:40combat suit. They are not even calling it an armor set so it looks like it's going to be something
05:45closer to an Argo Atlas but for combat and anyone who's been following the game knows that it's got
05:50to be the titan suit that we have been teased for so many years. It's gotta be, right? Let me
05:56know in the
05:56comment section down below if you think it is. On a more trivial side, it looks like we are going
06:02to get
06:02new heads in our character customization tool and the sand Apex Velocard that we saw at CitizenCon 2 years ago
06:09is finally coming. I have a feeling that we will not only see it on Monarchs but also on Daymar.
06:15I don't know, I think it should be an extremely rare occurrence that only happens on very few locations.
06:20Let me know what you think about that in the comment section as well.
06:24Anyway, it was, as you could see, another very interesting monthly report. We may not be getting
06:30a CitizenCon this year, which is very strange given the fact that CX42 is supposed to release this year,
06:35but also a lot is coming to the verse and we are already seeing tangible progress.
06:40I don't know about you guys, but I'm very confident about this year. I have not been this motivated to
06:46play like this for a while and I think that a lot of you guys too, so that's a very
06:50good sign for the
06:53project. And that is all for this video. Thank you so much guys if you made it until the end.
06:58A big
