00:00It's my brother who is a 29 year old still living at home with my mum as well and kind
00:04of I came to
00:05need to move straight out and you know I think he's just struggled to find somewhere to live
00:10and actually buy instead of rent he doesn't want to rent because it's kind of a waste of money as
00:14he calls it you know and he wants to move in and buy somewhere just can't afford it he's just
00:18cannot afford anywhere you know two bed flat or two bed house just cannot afford anywhere so
00:23I do feel like it the the market is yeah it's just not for first time buyers market at the
00:29minute and hence why people are living longer with parents the housing market is obviously
00:34very tough right now and it's very hard to even buy a house we've purchased ours a couple of years
00:39ago
00:40but we were lucky it was in COVID time so obviously there was a bit of a drop at that
00:45time but right
00:46now I think it is tough and I think the stats make sense that there's a lot of people still
00:50at home
00:50disgusting that the house prices have just gone gastronomical and rent rent prices as well so if
00:58you're not in a position to buy because you need equity then the landlords as well they're not
01:05taking a lot of benefits as well so you've got mass homeless people I know a lot of people who
01:12are
01:12renting because they can't buy or living with parents like you're saying there's a high number
01:18of people living with their parents but people who would like to buy but can't buy are actually
01:23renting a lot more now and the rents are quite high as well so yeah a lot of people are
01:29struggling
