00:15first Royal Charter from King Charles I 400 years ago.
00:20The project has been part of Leeds 400, a city-wide programme of activity commemorating
00:26the bestowing of the Charter in 1626, while also celebrating the best of the city's
00:32past, present and future.
00:34His Majesty the King has hailed the hard work, generosity and civic pride of the people of
00:40Leeds, giving the Royal Seal of Approval in a letter to the city.
