Transcript
00:00Storm Chaser Aaron Rigsby here in Dubuque, Iowa on day four of this relentless stretch of severe weather that has
00:08been plaguing such a large area of the Midwest and into the Southern Plains.
00:12With today being no exception, today there is a higher than usual chance of not only tornadoes, but strong tornadoes
00:19capable of producing EF2 plus type damage on top of more hail that could exceed three inches in diameter.
00:27And it's not out of the realm of possibility to have isolated damaging wind gusts in excess of 90 miles
00:34an hour, especially into the overnight hours as these more supercellular thunderstorms transition into a very long bow echo that
00:42will extend anywhere from northern Wisconsin all the way down into areas of Texas.
00:47Now today especially, if any of the storms can form out ahead of the main line of storms that is
00:53expected today, those are going to be the most dangerous storms to be in the path of.
00:58The main focal area of these potential storms are going to be anywhere really from Madison, Wisconsin to here in
01:05Dubuque, Iowa and down into Davenport, Iowa and a slight potential that they could extend eastward into areas of Illinois.
01:13This area has already been hit hard with relentless severe weather, including tornadoes, and today is going to cap off
01:19that extended period of unsettled weather.
01:22We're going to be covering it here all day at AccuWeather, I'm Aaron Rigsby.
