00:00Yes, it is the Mixtape in the Luke Sports Radio 610.
00:03It's your man, Fikki Fik, holding it down on a Wednesday.
00:06Happy Wednesday to everyone out there.
00:09So I saw this story last week.
00:11I think it might have been the last time I did this show, which was Thursday.
00:16Somebody actually texted me.
00:18I wish I could give you credit for it.
00:20But they sent me this story about a crazy teacher in Texas.
00:25And I didn't want to bring it up too early because I didn't know what the hell was going on.
00:29And I like to let things breathe a little bit so that way we can get the full story.
00:34I don't want to half-ass report something or talk about something and it's still going on.
00:39I got to come back and talk about it again and all that stuff.
00:43But here's a story about a lady by the name of Nicole True Love, which is true love.
00:51Not a real name.
00:52Fake name.
00:53Yeah, I mean, I'm not sure about that.
00:56But here's a story about a teacher in Texas, courtesy of KPRC2.
01:03Shout out to Gage, who came up with this story.
01:07This is a wild story.
01:09A Texas high school teacher allegedly stabbed herself, claimed that she was attacked by a student.
01:15And within hours, she was arrested and booked in jail, charged with several charges, including a felony.
01:20Let's back up and explain the entire thing.
01:22Hey, we're here in Splendora, Texas at Splendora High School, where a teacher, 53-year-old Nicole True Love, is
01:29accused of self-harm.
01:32She's accused of harming herself, but alleging that she was attacked by a student here this morning.
01:37All of this happening just before 9 a.m. on Thursday.
01:39This sent dozens and dozens, about actually 80 law enforcement officers here to Splendora High School.
01:45All they found was, according to them, a big fat lie.
01:49None of this ever happened.
01:51The only thing that was true is that True Love, the teacher, was hurt.
01:55She did it to herself.
01:56That's what they say after interviewing witnesses and going over security camera video.
02:00Kind of a wild story.
02:01But here's what's even more interesting.
02:03Law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation tell me that this is the same teacher that, back in 2017, sued
02:09the state of Texas.
02:10She was teaching in a prison in Madison County whenever she alleges that she was raped by an inmate.
02:16Now, that inmate was eventually acquitted on charges of sexual assault, but found guilty on charges of retaliation and assaulting
02:22a public servant.
02:23We also know that True Love settled with the state.
02:25But back here in Splendora, she is now locked up facing several charges, including felony tampering with the evidence and
02:32falsely filing a police report.
02:34Two big charges.
02:35She's locked up in the Montgomery County Jail.
02:37We're told that she'll face a judge on Friday morning.
02:40How could you do all that with the last name True Love?
02:43True Love.
02:43That's what you got you for?
02:44That was my takeaway.
02:45You need to change your last name.
02:47My takeaway was mentally unstable.
02:50Oh, you went with mentally unstable as opposed to scammer?
02:53That one should have popped up.
02:54Honestly, you know what?
02:55The first thing that I thought of is how bad do you have to be at lying that the lie
03:03that you created, premeditated, mind you, was sorted out in less than an hour?
03:09Yeah, that's right.
03:10Right?
03:10You set this up.
03:11You set the whole scam up, and in like 15 minutes, they were like, nah, this ain't it.
03:16That was just enough time to talk to everybody, get the real story.
03:19Yeah.
03:19Like, all they had to do was like, someone stabbed you?
03:23Yeah.
03:23A student?
03:24Yeah, I don't know.
03:25By the way, was it a particular student?
03:27Because that's awful.
03:28Or did she just say, like, a student stabbed me?
03:30Well, I mean, considering how bad her lie apparently was, she might not have had a particular student.
03:34She just said, yeah, student did it.
03:36A student between the size of five foot and 6'3".
03:40Yeah.
03:40Just imagine being in that class, and that teacher started going crazy.
03:43You're like, what in the world?
03:45You know there's kids that are like, I knew it.
03:46I knew it.
03:47Oh, yeah.
03:48The kids had to, and you know what?
03:50They had her figured out.
03:51Also, hey, Mr. Robinson, man, you should see what Ms. True Love doing right now.
03:57What I also love about this is, I know there's at least one kid that's been lying on Ms. True
04:01Love,
04:01but now has a reason.
04:02Like, man, see, no, that F, that's not even my fault.
04:05She don't like me.
04:06She be lying, and now there's some kid that's like, yes.
04:08Told you.
04:09Mr. Robinson, am I going to pass on some studies now?
04:14I would definitely be using that excuse.
04:16She's got issues, man.
04:17I mean, so they said the state of Texas, they settled with her on that previous case?
04:22Can that be reopened?
04:24No, no kidding.
04:25The state of Texas has got to be like, hold on, wait a minute.
04:26How about the other thing that got me?
04:27She'd be out here lying.
04:29The guy that allegedly sexually assaulted her, you know, obviously was acquitted on that,
04:34but got convicted of retaliation.
04:36Retaliation?
04:37You go to a jail, there's going to be retaliation.
04:40There will be retaliation.
04:41I'm sure that guy in prison looking at that story like, with his arms up, like, wait a minute.
04:46Told y'all she was lying.
04:47Hold on, see, I told y'all.
04:48Y'all ain't believe me.
04:50Yeah, he got convicted, I guess, of that.
04:54Yeah.
04:54I want to know, like, because, again, she was a teacher in prison, and then that thing happened.
04:58Is she doing this with the mind towards eventually I'm going to set up the old swoop and stop,
05:04I'm going to set up the scam, or is this just like,
05:05and then she gets to a point where she's like, well, need to pay some rent.
05:09Let's see if we can scam something.
05:10Like, what is it?
05:11Let's lie on somebody.
05:12What does this happen?
05:13What's the money aspect of this one?
05:16I don't know.
05:17She's trying to sue the school system.
05:19That's the way that I saw, and I probably shouldn't say that in absolute.
05:22Like, it very well could be what you said right off the jump.
05:24And honestly, it's probably likely that there's some mental instability that comes into this, right,
05:29if we're going to be as sensitive as possible.
05:31But then if I'm not being sensitive, hey, this sounds like a scammer to me.
05:34That's right.
05:34Yeah.
05:38All right, it's the Mixtape in the Loop, Sports Radio 610.
05:41I saw this tweet not that long ago, and it kind of made me think.
05:45So I want you all to kind of think, too, 713-572-4610.
05:50Moments I wish I was around for.
05:53Moments I wish Twitter was around for.
05:55Okay.
05:56Excuse me.
05:56So you could just immediately talk with your homeboys about it.
05:59Yeah.
05:59Okay.
05:59Yeah, because we know Twitter could be a crazy place, especially when something in pop culture
06:04happens.
06:05Yeah.
06:05And then you immediately go on Twitter, and everybody just with the jokes, weighing in,
06:10and all that type of stuff.
06:11So this person on Twitter came up with a list of things.
06:14So I'm going to go through it and be thinking about what you wish Twitter was around for.
06:20The first one you put on here, Bill Clinton and Monica.
06:22That was the first one I thought of.
06:24Because you remember a time, and honestly, I say this, don't get mad at me, or do, just
06:28don't text in.
06:29There was a time where we could laugh about our politicians, and it didn't feel like it
06:33had to start a fight.
06:34Like, there was times where we could laugh.
06:35Now, of course, would you want to laugh about your politicians in some case?
06:38No.
06:38I feel like we'd rather just have good politicians where everything works well in our government
06:41service, right?
06:42But there was this sense where you would laugh about them.
06:44That is peak, right?
06:45People were making the jokes, and of course, they probably wouldn't be in good taste, but
06:48people were making the jokes on late night.
06:50Imagine if we could crowd source the jokes.
06:52Late night, rap songs, and all that type of stuff.
06:54They was getting the jokes then.
06:56Yeah.
06:56If we were just bouncing off each other, if this was a big old yes and, oh my goodness.
07:00That is the leader in the clubhouse.
07:02What else?
07:02Yeah.
07:03Malice in the palace.
07:04Yes.
07:04That's a great answer.
07:06Yeah.
07:06Although, as someone who was not fully in my prime at that time or anything, from the
07:12people that were there, and I'd have to get your opinion on this as well, Lopez, it was
07:16one of those moments where you had to get on the phone with people, and you were just
07:18like, no, we were going to talk for a long period of time about, did you just see what
07:22happened?
07:22It was, when it makes the nightly news, you know, the network news, you know, it's big,
07:28that used to be the gauge, you know, with the network news, and it was all over the place.
07:31I remember watching that in real time, man.
07:33And SportsCenter pretty much blocked off everything.
07:36It was just going through that, and that's like play by play.
07:40I'm like, man, it was crazy.
07:42They actually played the last, what, two minutes?
07:44Oh, yeah.
07:44Because the two minutes before.
07:45Oh, yeah.
07:45It went on and on and on.
07:47Yeah, it was wild.
07:47And they kind of, as the Pruder filmed it, like this guy over here, and this guy here,
07:50and that guy came down six rows.
07:52Yeah.
07:52Does it feel like we still get that now?
07:53Because now we live in the history of the Malice of the Palace and knowing kind of everything.
07:57Does it feel like if something of that same magnitude happens that we treat it the same way?
08:01Oh, I think so.
08:02Maybe even more so.
08:03Okay.
08:03Yeah.
08:04Yeah, just so many angles, so many voices.
08:06Yeah.
08:06The thing is, you'll have way more voices weighing in on it.
08:09Also, we might not weigh in on that.
08:11We would start with the pearl clutching.
08:13Mm-hmm.
08:13Yeah.
08:13We'd be a little uncomfortable.
08:14A little bit of everything.
08:15Very insensitive.
08:16And during that time, I felt like it wasn't people really clutching their pearls.
08:20Yes, that's the point.
08:21We jumped right into the, what the hell was happening?
08:23Whoa, like, wow, even the people on SportsCenter, it seemed like it wasn't just a, oh, my God,
08:29I'm so disappointed in the NBA type of talk.
08:32It was just, it was mainly bashing on Ron Artest, to be honest.
08:36There's another one that probably should be the number one seed that just came out of the
08:39text line that I'm wondering if you have on this list.
08:42Yeah, I'm going to go through them real quick.
08:44He got on here.
08:45Janet Jackson, the wardrobe malfunction.
08:47Oh, in the great city of Houston.
08:48Yep, yep.
08:49Randy Johnson, killing that bird.
08:51That's actually a really good one.
08:52Relatively low stakes.
08:54Incredible memes on that.
08:56Yeah.
08:56Michael Jordan playing baseball.
08:58That would have been hilarious.
09:00That's a great point.
09:00Although, how readily would we have been able to watch those?
09:03Right?
09:04Like, how readily were you able to watch it in real time?
09:06If Twitter was around, I think probably a lot.
09:09Yeah, just post them stats.
09:10Yeah.
09:11Yeah.
09:11This is y'all goat right here.
09:13Oh, God.
09:14It would be so toxic.
09:15So toxic.
09:15Yeah.
09:16This is why Kareem is the best of all time.
09:18I've been trying to tell y'all.
09:19Young whippersnappers.
09:20Yeah.
09:20He got on here.
09:21Chris Webber timeout.
09:23Oh, that would have just been a bunch of jokes.
09:26Yeah.
09:26I don't know how much.
09:26I feel like that would have been abuse.
09:28People would have been like, at Chris Webber.
09:29Wasn't that?
09:30Yeah.
09:30Yeah.
09:31And then somebody else.
09:32I'm going to read a couple more and then I'm going to get to mine.
09:34Somebody else said Ricky Williams trade.
09:37And I probably want to go further and say that Ricky Williams retirement experience.
09:41Yeah.
09:42Yeah.
09:42That all of the retirement overnight.
09:45He said Dennis Rodman in general.
09:50Dennis Rodman.
09:51Yeah.
09:51Just imagine seeing him.
09:52What was it?
09:54WCW?
09:54It's the wedding.
09:54That he made the appearance on?
09:56I think the wedding is the one that does it, right?
09:57Sport magazine.
09:58It's the wedding dress that does it, right?
10:00Cover of sport magazine.
10:01Yeah.
10:02He said Peyton Manning versus Ryan Leaf draft debate.
10:05Oh, that'd be good.
10:06Oh, that'd be good.
10:06That'd be good.
10:07Yeah.
10:08Yeah.
10:08Bill Buckner error.
10:10Oh, that's such a good one.
10:11Oh my gosh.
10:12The Bill Buckner error.
10:14Yeah.
10:14Yeah.
10:15He also put Bill's four straight Super Bowl losses.
10:19That would have been just pure comedy.
10:21Boy.
10:21Just laughing at the Bill's.
10:22There's no way that the Bill's would be as endeared as they are now if we had Twitter.
10:27Because we would have learned that we did not like them in real time.
10:29We're laughing at the Falcons.
10:30Yeah.
10:30For winning that lead in the Super Bowl, man.
10:32We would have learned.
10:33And they were there one time.
10:34Because this is the thing.
10:35They got to be, oh, poor Bill's fans.
10:37Imagine if in real time they were trying to combat.
10:39Like, no, no, no.
10:40No, no, really, man.
10:40Not that bad.
10:41They got there four times.
10:41Y'all weren't at the championship game.
10:43We were at least there.
10:44Like, we would have not liked them.
10:45And they wouldn't have been just sap stories that they were before people came around and
10:49started liking them.
10:50Before you get to yours.
10:51Is that the last one?
10:51Yeah, that's the last one.
10:52Before you get to yours.
10:53For comedy, I would say, obviously, Bill Clinton.
10:57I think the Michael Jordan would be hilarious.
11:00All the memes.
11:01All the pictures.
11:02The striking out.
11:02He was just being bad at me.
11:04The conspiracy of Michael Jordan leaving the NBA.
11:06That's what I was going to say.
11:07Somebody would talk about why he really left.
11:11You know, somebody would tweet something.
11:12A gambling allegation.
11:13A drunk tweet about why he really left with gambling and all that stuff.
11:16I would love to see how we actually view Michael Jordan if there was social media at that time.
11:20Because there's no way we like him.
11:21I wonder how Michael Jordan would react to social media, just playing during the social
11:25media area.
11:26Well, he had more ammo for people that hate him.
11:31Right?
11:31He was out here so he could leave.
11:33What was the old boy?
11:34Was it on the Cavs that he just out of nowhere decided to make into a villain that one time?
11:39Yeah.
11:39He wouldn't have to do that.
11:40He would just go, at Jim2573.
11:43Yeah.
11:43He said that I am not the best of all time.
11:45Right?
11:45Like, he would just do that.
11:46And then the final one for me would be the Bill Buckner between the legs.
11:49Dude.
11:51Meltdown.
11:51Man.
11:51A meltdown like you've never seen.
11:53A32.
11:54And this was big enough, even without social media.
11:57OJ Chase.
11:58Oh, yeah.
11:59Yeah.
11:59Oh, man.
11:59Oh, God, yes.
12:00People would be on the bridges.
12:02Yeah.
12:02It'd be toxic, though.
12:03It'd be real toxic.
12:05Yeah.
12:05Because it was toxic then.
12:06It was a race war, man.
12:07What are you really talking about?
12:08Yeah.
12:09So, these are the ones I got.
12:10Mike Tyson biting off Holyfield.
12:13Oh, that's so good.
12:13Yeah.
12:14Because the jokes are also there.
12:16Yeah.
12:17Yep.
12:18Nolan Ryan beating up Robin Vitor.
12:20Yeah, Robin Vitor.
12:20It's still on Twitter.
12:22Correct.
12:23Just imagine that happening in real time.
12:25Yeah.
12:26Because I think the latest, the one that we can think of in modern time is the, who was
12:31the guy for the Blue Jays that got punched in the jaw?
12:33Oh, that's Batista.
12:35Yeah, Jose Batista.
12:36Ruben Ed O'Dore has got, that's my favorite punch that I've seen outside of combat sports
12:39and maybe inside of combat sports.
12:42That one is probably number one.
12:45Yeah, how do you say the N's in Spanish?
12:47Because I know that that's where Ruben Ed O'Dore grew up.
12:49He grew up in the N's.
12:51Yeah.
12:51Yeah.
12:51So, that's probably number one.
12:53Number two is Jose Ramirez hitting old buddy and kind of knocking him down, kind of knocking
12:58him out a little bit.
12:59Tanya Harden and Nancy Kerrigan.
13:01Oh, yes.
13:02That scandal.
13:02Oh, yes.
13:03Yeah.
13:03Michael Jordan, flu game.
13:05Okay.
13:06I would like to be on Twitter with the flu game.
13:08Sure.
13:09And Milli Vanilli.
13:10Oh, God, yes.
13:12You realize how many people would be reenacting that?
13:14Oh, man.
13:16Wait a minute.
13:17They fake?
13:18I don't think, actually, I don't think I want that because I don't want everybody to do their
13:21less than funny impressions.
13:23Yes, you do.
13:24No, I don't.
13:24You just don't know it yet.
13:27Just imagine looking on social media and the video of the track skipping as they're performing.
13:35Oh, man.
13:36We almost got a little bit of that with, was it Ashley Simpson where she got caught lip
13:42syncing on Saturday Night Live?
13:43Oh, yes.
13:44Yes.
13:44I'm trying to remember.
13:45Was that at the nascent time of Facebook?
13:48Were we there?
13:49Like MySpace and Facebook at that point?
13:51I think we might have gotten just the smallest taste.
13:53Yeah, it was right in there.
13:54Man, man, send them in, 713-572-4610.
13:58And I'll get y'all out of here on this.
14:01I don't know if y'all brought this up, but the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Class of 2026
14:06has been revealed.
14:07So we got Phil Collins, Oasis, Billy Idol, the Wu-Tang Clan, Luther Vandross, Sade, Joy
14:17Division, New Order, and Iron Maiden.
14:21Yeah, I think I mentioned this yesterday as my confession.
14:23And that this is maybe the first Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class in at least a decade
14:29where I go, oh, these are all aggressively my stuff.
14:33Outside of maybe a few that I won't pretend like I listen to crazy heavy.
14:36But I'm just like, oh, I'm reaching that age where the Hall of Fame class is for me.
14:42Oh, no.
14:43Yeah.
14:44Yeah, yeah.
14:44So if you want to watch, I think they actually showing their ceremony on ABC and Disney Plus.
14:52And this happened in November 14.
14:55Okay.
14:55So if you're interested.
14:56I've never watched any of the ceremonies or nothing like that, but I might have to check
15:00it out just because.
15:01Yeah.
15:02There you go.
15:03The mixtape.
15:04Good to have you back, Fig.
15:05Yeah, man.
15:061.20 p.m. every weekday right here on Sports Radio 610.
15:09Go ahead and hit him up at TheFiggyFig on social media if you see something that you believe
15:12to be mixtape worthy.
15:13Somebody said the Manti Teo debacle.
15:15We did get that on social media.
15:16Yeah, we did.
15:16We saw that firsthand.
15:17I would like to see that in social media today, though.
15:20Mm-hmm.
15:21Oh, I think it's worse now.
15:22Like today, it would be super bad, man.
15:25It would be really, really problematic.
15:26Yeah, man.
