00:35Pistons win 60 games for just
00:37the third time in franchise history
00:41it's it's so much fun to
00:43watch a team that
00:45has challenges and overcomes
00:47them and you look at okay
00:49when Cade goes down the game that
00:51first game at Washington
00:53since then they've only taken three
00:55losses and one of them
00:57two of them were in OT one
00:59of them was to Oklahoma City in
01:01overtime yeah that was at Oklahoma
01:03City this is a team that we had
01:07talked about last week I think it was
01:08with Stoney it might be a blessing in
01:12disguise that they have found other
01:15guys now it's not always going to be
01:17one guy it's not always going to be
01:19Dennis Jenkins you know Jalen Duren you
01:22know Cade Cunningham those have to be two
01:24constants moving forward but were they
01:27able to develop enough and other guys
01:30get enough confidence heading into this
01:33final stretch heading into the playoffs
01:35that now all of a sudden maybe it's
01:38Kevin Herter maybe it's Duncan Robinson
01:42they had a four game skid and I think
01:44it it put people into an uncomfortable
01:48position right they lost to the Spurs and
01:51the Cavs and this four game skid and
01:54going they're not playing the defense
01:55that this team is capable of they were
01:57kind of losing their way as a long
01:59season drags on and when Cade went out
02:01I felt like everybody else felt an
02:03urgency to step up can you carry that
02:06into the postseason and benefit yeah I
02:08think there is a case that that Cade
02:09injury turns into a blessing in disguise
02:13in terms of 60 wins for this franchise
02:15the two previous times one of them was an
02:17NBA title the 89 team and the other was an
02:20Eastern Conference Finals appearance the
02:222006 team the expectation is what for
02:27this group Eastern Eastern Conference
02:29Finals yeah and if you if you find a way
02:31to get over the hump because they've
02:34skipped a number of steps yeah they
02:36didn't play in a play-in tournament
02:37right and so there's a number of things
02:39that they haven't done to follow the
02:41normal progression the normal path they've
02:44skipped some of those do they finally get
02:47to the point where okay it's it's the
02:49back around they're going to play
02:50probably Cleveland they find a way to
02:53get over that hump and then it's Boston
02:55like I don't know that they're able to
02:58get over and skip all of those steps to
03:01get to play whether it's Oklahoma City or
03:03the Spurs in the NBA Finals but I'm not
03:05going to sit here and say that they can't
03:07do it no I think Cleveland's a tough
03:08matchup but the saving grace would be I
03:12think you trust the Pistons tenacity more
03:14than a team that has James Harden in the
03:16playoffs that's but the difference with
03:18the Celtics would be they're a proven
03:19commodity who has done this and they're
03:22healthier and they're healthier and
03:24again the threes that they can rain down
03:26can kind of negate the fact that the
03:27Pistons are this stingy team anyway
03:29that's a couple rounds down the road
03:31here but that becomes the expectation
03:33you look at what 60 wins means for this
03:34organization it's it's deep postseason
03:37runs and in one case when the whole
03:40thing now who do you want them to play
03:42in the first round because it's one of
03:45four teams right right it's the Sixers
03:47the Magic the Hornets or the Heat and I
03:52just I think if you're sitting there
03:55going okay none of them worry you we
03:58talked about them playing possibly this
04:00opening round series without Cade and
04:02still felt like they should be able to
04:04get to that second round hopefully Cade
04:06would be back at that time well they got
04:08the good news that Cade was able to play
04:11those final three games got his legs
04:13under him got the chemistry back and
04:17there's no one that worries me I'll say
04:18this I think the Sixers are the team
04:22that I would like to play the most but
04:23it's probably the team that is least
04:25likely to get there right no Joel Embiid
04:28and okay they haven't come out and said
04:30he's not going to be available but I
04:34think we can all read between the lines
04:35and feel like yeah he's not going to be
04:36available they're the team least likely
04:38to be there which is why he's there the
04:40team most likely that you'd like to
04:42play so real quick on the way this is
04:43going to work the Sixers are the seven
04:45seed right and they will play the Magic
04:48right who are the eighth seed the loser
04:50of that game has to keep playing the
04:52winner is automatically in the playoffs
04:54the loser then has to play the winner of
04:57Hornets Heat Hornets Heat and then the
05:00loser of the higher game and the winner of
05:02the lower game will decide the final spot
05:03if everybody's keeping track of this yes
05:06the four teams the Sixers the team I
05:10want to play the most sure Pistons are
05:11four no against him this year they do
05:13not play a lick of defense to your point
05:16if if they're limping into the playoffs
05:19sure Pistons will be more than happy to
05:21welcome them into LCA the team I would
05:23be most concerned with and don't
05:25misconstrue this with I think this team
05:27would upset the Pistons but I think it's
05:29the team that would give them the biggest
05:30problem it's the Miami Heat the heat of
05:33the team I don't want to play in the
05:34first game Spolster has the most wins of
05:37any coach active in the NBA he's won
05:39NBA titles and if you're going only had
05:41LeBron and Wade and Bosch he took an
05:43eight seed to the NBA Finals they'll
05:45defend they'll have game plan you know
05:47tweaks strategies and things and
05:49wrinkles to throw at the Pistons they've
05:50got BAM to guard the paint and force
05:52you to hit jump shots they're the team
05:54I would be most concerned with that put
05:55it this way that's the team I think
05:56most likely to win multiple playoff games
05:59against the Pistons of anybody in the
06:00play-in so maybe a better way to put it
06:02is it's the team that could affect them
06:04the most when the Pistons actually play
06:07Cleveland because instead of a maybe
06:10it's a four-game sweep against the
06:11Sixers or it's a five games against any
06:14of those other teams is it six or seven
06:16that it takes to beat the heat mm-hmm
06:20yeah I think I guess that's the way I'd
06:22put it we'll talk about the Tigers and if
06:24everybody's calmed down after a sweep
06:26over the weekend but first Heather with
