00:00Instructions in the dressing room, you know exactly what I expect if you're both, okay?
00:03Keep the fight clean, obey my commands, and most importantly,
00:06protect yourself at all times, gentlemen.
00:08Shake hands.
00:09Let's go.
00:10On this night, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium,
00:14North London's crown jewel has become boxing's pressure cooker,
00:18and the pressure is on Conor Benn to deliver.
00:22At a contract weight of 150 pounds, Regis Progray moving up in weight,
00:27looking to knock Benn off his perch.
00:30Both promise a fast start.
00:32Each have recorded five first-round knockouts.
00:42A crowd in excess of 50,000 on hand
00:47for the fourth stadium show in England over the past 12 months,
00:52and the crowd erupting with the opening bell,
00:55and they meet in the center of the ring,
00:58the orthodox Ben, the Southpaw Progray.
01:01We're scheduled for 10.
01:03Progray, no matter how old he is, he still has power in that left hand.
01:08You see Ben right now sending a message to Progray,
01:12that I'm a stronger fighter, I'm the bigger fighter,
01:14and Ben's gonna try to get a big shot through early on the chin of Progray.
01:18Mauro Rinaldo along with Hall of Famer, Andre Ward, and David the Haymaker,
01:23Hay ringside bringing you all the action, and boy, the action hot and heavy from the get-go.
01:29Ben leading with the right hand, opening up on Progray.
01:31Progray shoving up, trying to fire back.
01:34He's already stiffened the legs of Progray.
01:37Right hook, left hook, the intensity.
01:40You mentioned the pressure on Ben.
01:42He's the type of guy who likes to apply it, but he doesn't receive it.
01:46Progray's gotta focus on that right jab, because he's throwing the left hand,
01:49and he's missing, and he's swinging his back leg in front,
01:53and it's keeping him out there for the counter of Ben.
01:56Progray, with the one-two from the Southpaw stance,
01:58moved his training camp to Las Vegas, working with Kay Karoma,
02:02Ben working with Tony Sims as his chief second,
02:05and with one minute, 40 seconds left in the first,
02:08a scintillating start to this co-main event.
02:11I think Progray has to be honest about where he is right now with his legs,
02:15because the legs are not as springy as they used to be.
02:18So when he comes forward, he leaves himself open, like I said.
02:21He needs to try to counterpunch the hard-charging Ben
02:24with the left hand and the right hook.
02:26Don't try to go after him right now.
02:27And, David, we've seen it now, the evolving trend for Progray.
02:31Lower volume, fewer damaging shots,
02:33and numbers that sit well below the elite standards of the sport.
02:38That happens as you get older, but he's tricky and crafty.
02:41He just snuck in a cheeky left right down the pipe on Ben.
02:44Ben took it, but he doesn't want to take too many of them.
02:47Progray's got so many skills.
02:49Heads coming dangerously close together
02:51as they both come in for their clinch gear.
02:53They've both got to watch out for that, particularly Conor.
02:55He doesn't need to be clashing heads.
02:56Ben made short work of the last 37-year-old former 140-pound champion he faced,
03:02that being Chris Algieri, who was knocked out in four rounds in Liverpool in December 2021.
03:09Right now, Ben does not respect the power of Progray.
03:12Yeah, nice.
03:12Progray, he's got to try to get something in there that at least Ben feels so he can think
03:17twice before he charges in.
03:19Still some snap to those punches from Progray.
03:22Progray seems to be adjusting to the intensity of Ben.
03:28Ben touches down on the knee there.
03:30Was that the result of a punch?
03:32I'm not sure.
03:33I don't know either.
03:33We need to watch the replay on that.
03:34It was very, very quick.
03:35It was very quick.
03:36If it was, it was very flash.
03:37Final 10 seconds of the opening round, both Ben and Progray looking to stand their ground,
03:43looking to dictate terms.
03:45And we are underway with this.
03:50Oh, and at the bell!
03:51On the bell!
03:52Progray was, had his knees buckled.
03:55He did.
03:56He buckled his knee on the bell.
03:58Perfectly timed shot.
04:00But he didn't go down.
04:01He didn't go down, but it rocked him to his boots.
04:04And any success he had in that first round, he would have lost a bit of it there.
04:16You see right here, Ben doing what Ben does.
04:19Charge forward, land those big right hands.
04:21He's not landing everything, but he's trying to land those big shots.
04:26And Progray did a decent job of getting out of the way until he didn't do a decent job
04:32toward the end of the round, where it just takes one shot to get that reaction that we saw
04:37and to send that message that, again, I'm the bigger, stronger fighter.
04:40One shot.
04:41Do not miss your chance to blow it right there!
04:45And a nice right hand that buckled the knees of Progray at the end of the first round.
04:49Immediately, Ben comes out, takes the center of the ring, and goes to work behind the jab.
04:55Progray showed in that round he's still got enough to cause problems.
04:58He landed a good head, landed a good, a few good body shots.
05:02You know, a few people have told me Progray was injured and he wasn't ready.
05:06His legs, there's something up with Progray's legs at the moment.
05:09And at times, Ben punches himself off balance, Andre.
05:13Well, that's who Ben is.
05:14He'll punch himself off balance, and then work his way back on balance.
05:18I don't think that's gonna change tonight with kind of Ben, that's just who he is.
05:21But that's what also makes him dangerous, because he fights off rhythm.
05:25Nice.
05:25And he throws punches in places you don't believe he's going to, and oftentimes they're hard.
05:29It's hard to prepare for someone who does have that sort of herky-jerky style where
05:33they're throwing shots coming off balance and throwing shots back in.
05:37But Progray, I'm impressed with how Progray is trying to keep Ben at bay and
05:42not allowing himself to be pressed up against the ropes like lots of Ben's opponents.
05:46And you see Eddie Hearn there, right beside Anthony Joshua, to the left of your screen,
05:50the former promoter of Regis Progray.
05:53There was talk he would not show up here tonight, but he did.
05:56I don't know if he had a chance to visit with Progray in the dressing room,
05:59but his former promoter taking in the action as Zupa Boxing.
06:05Signed Ben to a one-fight deal, and we'll see where that leads
06:08as he's looking to take over the welterweight division.
06:11But right now, he has the veteran Regis Progray to deal with.
06:15Conor Ben is missing a lot of shots to the head of Progray.
06:19He needs to shoot that shot, the right hand and the jab to the chest,
06:22and then ultimately it'll land right on the chin, on the temple of Progray.
06:26There's a right hand that landed for Progray, the jab from the southpaw stands.
06:31Got to shoot it a little bit lower, he keeps missing.
06:33He's got to make that mental adjustment.
06:38And right now, just like Andre said, two-to-one in terms of connected advantage for
06:45Ben, throwing a lot more as well, and Progray threw the punch, touched the canvas.
06:51Floyd Mayweather did that one.
06:53Listen, Progray's not coming forward because he knows that his legs are on shaky ground.
06:57So you have to make an adjustment.
06:59You're an older fighter, you're a seasoned fighter, but you're a fighter that has miles on him.
07:04So he knows that if I'm gonna be successful, I have to let Ben lead, and I have to counter.
07:08That's why you don't see Progray going forward very much.
07:11Progray's 37 and his opponent 29.
07:14Go ahead, David.
07:14Just like that, as you said, he's waiting for Ben to make a mistake to counter.
07:18Ben threw a right hand, he slipped on the outside and threw himself a left hook to Ben's body.
07:22He's looking at trying to steal, steal big punches.
07:26He's not leading off with too much, waiting for Ben, who's throwing plenty of shots to throw something and nail
07:32him with a counter.
07:34I think Ben has to think quickness over power.
07:37Everything is power now.
07:38We know you're the bigger fighter, but if you throw it quick and sharp, it'll land hard.
07:42He should be more interested in how many times can he hit him with shots.
07:46Don't worry about the power.
07:48It's an accumulative thing.
07:50We are through two rounds at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
07:55And when a Category 5 hurricane decimates a coastal town, the storm surge brings something far more frightening than destruction.
08:05Hungry sharks.
08:06If the flood doesn't kill you, what's beneath will.
08:10Thrash now playing only on Netflix.
08:15And plenty of sharks in the welterweight division, ready to welcome the likes of Conor Ben-Bach.
08:21Let's listen in.
08:23Don't forget your body shots, all right?
08:25Yeah?
08:27You can't reach.
08:28You can't reach her.
08:29It's a big feinting, big feinting.
08:31Square him up, bang, down the center, all right?
08:33He says, waiting to contact with the left.
08:35That's the only thing he's looking for.
08:36He's actually looking at the top.
08:3810 seconds.
08:40Stay sharp.
08:41Stay sharp.
08:42Good, Conor.
08:45Seconds out, round three.
08:47All right, the third round scheduled for ten at a contract weight of 150.
08:51Ben comes out like a cannon fired, goes behind the jab.
08:55And Progre, standing in front of him, already showing some markings under his left eye.
09:01When the physical tools are not where they used to be, you have to find a different way to get
09:05the job done.
09:06And you see Progre's brain working.
09:08You see him trying to dig in his IQ bag, his experience bag.
09:12He's trying to find a way to try to sneak a shot in there that could possibly hurt Ben.
09:17But right now, he hasn't been able to.
09:19Just too much youth, too much explosiveness, too much speed and power from Ben right now.
09:23And David Progre competing at the heaviest weight since scaling 151 before his November 2013 fight
09:29against journeyman Miguel Alvarez in his seventh pro fight.
09:33What do you think thus far?
09:35I think he's doing as well as he can do.
09:37He's been asking a few questions.
09:39He hasn't been able to maintain the pace.
09:41Ben set a tremendous pace.
09:44Nice hand and left by Ben.
09:44Consistent, consistent rhythm.
09:47And this breaks down fighters, particularly older fighters.
09:51Ben is wanting to show his conditioning.
09:55Ben isn't getting tired in here.
09:56He can do this all night, he can do 15 rounds of this.
09:59Andre, how much additional pressure is on Ben knowing what we know in terms of his
10:04career progressing outside of the ring?
10:06There's a great deal of pressure, and he understands that.
10:09Hometown fights are not just a gimme.
10:11There's more pressure now because you're expected to win.
10:14It's one thing when you're trying to prove people wrong, but when you're trying to
10:17cement a win that everybody expects you to get in this stadium, with this kind of crowd,
10:22it's a huge amount of pressure and where Ben is in his career and where he wants to go.
10:27Ben working the jab, third straight fight here at his home away from home,
10:32Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and he's just picking Progre off with the jab.
10:36But no real head movement off the center line for Progre, David.
10:39Progre's using some good head movement, probably 70, 80% of the time he's slipping
10:44the shot, but those 20, 30% are sliding through just like it did then.
10:48But the shots that he would have slipped four, five, six years ago,
10:52they're landing now, and you can't keep taking shots, particularly when someone
10:56like Ben, who seems to be framed.
10:58And we mentioned the jab, a two to one edge for Nigel Ben working the stick
11:03effectively, or Nigel Ben, Conor Ben, thank you.
11:07I was too young to call a Nigel Ben fight.
11:10Ben, one of my favorite fighters growing up, the intensity for him,
11:14very similar to Conor here.
11:16And fellas, the other, the welterweight division is watching.
11:19Not just who's here tonight, the welterweight division is watching,
11:23all the big names, they're looking at the good and the bad of Conor Ben right now.
11:26And there's not a lot of bad other than Ben not making adjustments to get the right
11:32hand through, doing, throwing, taking the redundant approach, and missing shots that
11:37he should make a quick adjustment to answer where he can land it.
11:41Ben seems to have a nice rhythm here.
11:44He looks like he's enjoying himself.
11:46He's not fighting beyond himself.
11:47He seems like he hasn't got out of second gear yet.
11:50I know it looks like he's going hell forever, but this is him just going through the gears nice and
11:54gradually.
11:55All right, guys, ringside tonight, the Sidemen Inside is streaming now on Netflix,
12:01where a cast of content creators compete for a one million pound prize.
12:07And keep your eyes peeled as there is even more Sidemen coming up on Netflix very soon.
12:22A wonderful evening, a wonderful atmosphere, a wonderful building, and so far,
12:28a wonderful start for Ben with punches like that.
12:31Landing good shots, but Pro Grey's taking those shots.
12:35I thought that Ben would have more impact on those shots, at least early,
12:40than he has so far.
12:41So hats off to Pro Grey for being able to take that shot.
12:44But for Conor Ben, I wanna see him employ a different style.
12:49More quickness than power.
12:51More speed than power.
12:52And if you notice, he's throwing the right hand at the same trajectory,
12:56the same weight, and he's missing probably more than he landed.
12:59This is round four, scheduled for ten, and a contract weight of 150 pounds.
13:05And Pro Grey coming forward behind the southpaw jam.
13:09Now the left hand lands for Pro Grey.
13:11Good shot from Pro Grey.
13:12Goes to the bottom of the left.
13:13He's a cop on Ben's right eye.
13:16Good call there, David, and so a little adversity here now in the fourth round for Conor Ben.
13:23Gonna give Pro Grey a little life to see that blood dripping from the eye of Ben.
13:27That's exactly what Pro Grey wanted to do.
13:30He needed some sort of foothold.
13:31He needed something to give himself confidence going into this fight.
13:35As the fight goes further, he's gonna need to do something.
13:41Ben opens up on Pro Grey with a multiple punch combination.
13:45Pro Grey seems to have risen in terms of energy-wise.
13:48He looks like he's- Yes, he definitely has.
13:51Best performance of the fight for Pro Grey in this fight.
13:55He's landing clean shots now.
13:57All of a sudden he has the confidence, because he's starting to believe that maybe I can win.
14:01Maybe I can push the younger fighter back, and maybe I still do have it.
14:06It just takes a small thing to click something on in the brain of a fighter
14:10who's questioning himself in the moment.
14:12Good shot from Ben.
14:12And if you look at the feet, the front foot, the right foot of Pro Grey and the left foot
14:17of Ben.
14:19Pro Grey's always having his right foot on the outside of Ben's left foot.
14:24And he's able to come inside.
14:26Ben, not that, both not that conditioned fighting southpaws, but Pro Grey, the majority of his opponents have been orthodox,
14:35right-handed.
14:35So as it gets into the meat of this fight, the skills of the southpaw should have some type of
14:44advantage.
14:44Or is that advantage gonna be enough to outweigh the conditioning youth of Ben?
14:50Final minute of the fourth round, and Pro Grey has had better work here in the fourth, but Ben's still
14:57right behind that jab.
15:00Locks that punch.
15:02Looking for Ben to make an adjustment, fellas.
15:05He's backing up, retraining, and then firing off a one-two that Pro Grey blocked.
15:10This is when you start to see what's in a fighter's bag.
15:14We know you have strength, we know you have power in the right hand if you can land it.
15:18We're not landing it the last couple rounds.
15:21You need to see an adjustment from Conor Ben to show you how deep his bag really is.
15:25Ben lands the left hook upstairs, there's the jab.
15:28They come in close quarters, body shot by Ben before he clinches with Pro Grey.
15:32Final 15 seconds of the fourth round, the best round of the fight so far for Pro Grey.
15:38Is it enough on the judges' scorecard?
16:00I mean, cos while you're going to the side, while you're going to the side jabber, he's got no answers
16:07here, do you know what I mean?
16:08I mean, most of the players notice that the three kickings if I'm out here, do you knowains his siloes?
16:09Dare to be another movement, real solution, 살 …
16:17Tops a punch!
16:19Tops a punch!
16:23measurable…
16:23Nice.
16:31We've been informed that a right hand caused the cut over the eye of Conor Ben let's say if you
16:38saw thatore Ben will cut.
16:38Let's see if we can pick it up.
16:39I look like a head to me.
16:41Yeah, but here we go, as his head comes up, it just glances it, there you go.
16:46So it's not a punch.
16:47It's not a punch, that's an accidental head clash.
16:49Fake news.
16:50Yeah, fake news, I saw it in my own eyes.
16:52Left hand there by ProGrey to the body.
16:55This is getting interesting now.
16:57Ben came out completely controlled and dominated in that last round.
17:01ProGrey really brought his own ideas to the game.
17:05Yeah, but Ben is opening up here in the fifth, starting to take the fight back to
17:10ProGrey, but ProGrey standing his ground, avoiding a lot of these punches,
17:15going to the body with the left hand.
17:16Yeah, but ProGrey has tasted the power of Ben, not to say he can't be hurt,
17:21not to say he can't be knocked out, but thus far he's comfortable with what he's felt.
17:26So now he's starting to open up a little bit more, plus the blood that he saw on the eye
17:29of Ben.
17:30And I'm gonna say it again, Ben has shown that he can be strong and powerful.
17:35What else do you have?
17:37How else can you set the table so you can eat with the punches that you normally knock fighters out
17:42with?
17:42That's the question I have right now.
17:44What adjustments is he gonna make to keep this very, very talented two-time champion at bay?
17:52ProGrey is Ben's first southpaw opponent since April 2022, when Ben stopped Chris Van Heerden in two rounds.
18:00And Ben now flashing the jab, circling ProGrey right in front of him, high guard.
18:06There's a straight left hand down the middle for ProGrey, Ben fires back to the body.
18:14This is where we're gonna see what Ben's about now.
18:17He's got someone, a world-class fighter in front of him with a game plan who's trying to really ask
18:22him questions.
18:23And so far, he's answering them.
18:25He's answering them really well, but he's gonna need to really start digging in.
18:29He's only got 10 rounds.
18:31It's not a 12-round fight, so he has to get his work done nice and cleanly.
18:34And we're just over a minute left in the first half of this 10-round affair.
18:39ProGrey gets another shot in on Gray.
18:41ProGrey's landed some nice shots, single shots, but nice shots nonetheless.
18:45That was a good left hook to the body by Ben.
18:48If you're ProGrey, you don't acknowledge that shot.
18:50Even if you think it was an illegal shot, you gotta go back and get your money.
18:54You gotta go back and take the play back, hit Ben with a body shot.
18:57Don't complain about it.
18:58ProGrey interested in making this a two-way battle.
19:02ProGrey going to body with a series of lefts.
19:05That's how you get your respect.
19:06And these two now earning each other's respect.
19:12See the confidence of ProGrey growing by the moment.
19:16Ben has to shut that down by landing a good shot that hurts him just like
19:20he did at the end of their first round.
19:22There's definitely been a shift in momentum.
19:25There was no momentum from ProGrey early in the first two, three rounds.
19:29And here comes Ben.
19:3215 seconds left in the first half of this fight, referee warning Ben.
19:42But this is what world-class boxing is about.
19:44You can't have it your own way the whole time, there are ebbs and flows.
19:57Gypsy King, Tyson Fury with a tribute to the lightweight Ricky Hatton on his trunks, RIP Ricky.
20:06Of course, Ricky Hatton tragically passed away last September at the age of 46.
20:10And I thought Tyson Fury was training himself.
20:14That looks like Sugarhill Stewart wrapping his gloves.
20:18Of course, a long-time corner man for Fury.
20:21And of course, we will await his special tribute to Ricky the Hitman Hatton coming up in tonight's main event
20:29as, well, Fury's had a tremendous career.
20:32But he's 0-4 against retirement.
20:42All right, so how will things go in the second half of this fight?
20:47Regis ProGrey appears to be gaining more confidence.
20:51Conor Benn wants to prove to the world that he is a force to be reckoned with in one of
20:57the best weight divisions in the sport, the welterweight division.
21:00And the pressure is on.
21:01The one fight deal, the make of money, is Conor Benn going to rise to the occasion?
21:08He got tagged with the left hand right there.
21:10He's been getting tagged with left hands the last two or three rounds, looking for the adjustment.
21:14Not just offensively, but also defensively.
21:17When I see a fighter get hit with the same punch and the same hand, it starts to raise questions.
21:22Do they know how to get out of the way?
21:24Do they know how to make the adjustment?
21:26We're watching it in real time right now.
21:32Ben trying to get ProGrey to bite down on his face, right uppercut by Ben.
21:38I think some of the body work, even though they're single shots from Ben have been really, really good.
21:42He needs to stay downstairs and then look to come back upstairs.
21:46That's how he can shock ProGrey and lead another good shot.
21:49Another uppercut by Ben.
21:50Go ahead.
21:50He's calmed down a little bit and he's trying to pick his shots.
21:54That right uppercut to the body landed, followed by a right uppercut to the head.
21:58There you go.
21:59Stiff jab, body shot by ProGrey.
22:01Looks like another cut on the opposite eye from another hand cut.
22:04Yeah, another cut.
22:05So now Ben dealing with cuts over both eyes.
22:09David Hayes' unofficial scorecard has this very close.
22:13The drama intensifies here at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
22:19And boy, high drama for Conor Ben, whose face quickly becoming the proverbial Crimson Mask.
22:27Conor's gotta take advantage of the blood going in the eye of Ben.
22:30And he's gotta try to land the shot while the blood is flowing in his eye.
22:35You may be at home and say, that's not fair.
22:37This is boxing.
22:38That's how it goes.
22:39I remember getting my first cut against Jacob Fragomeni.
22:42It's the first time I didn't realize your vision completely blurs.
22:46Ben having two cuts on either one in each eye can really affect his vision.
22:52We have the clash of the giants in the main event.
22:54We have clash of heads here between Ben and Progrey and Ben's father, Nigel, looking on.
23:00And as that is that cut looks, Ben looks unbothered at the moment.
23:04He does.
23:04It doesn't seem like it's affecting him.
23:06He's slipping punches.
23:07He's not showing any signs of impaired vision.
23:10And there is that sense of urgency now with Ben, knowing he's been cut,
23:14amping up his intensity.
23:15And the referee telling Ben to stop talking to Progrey.
23:18We're the ones paid to talk here tonight, Andre.
23:23Nice clubbing left hand there by Ben.
23:25That hurt, that hurt Progrey.
23:27Got his attention a little bit.
23:28You see the legs wobble just a little bit.
23:32Ben seems to be fast if he should be using that speed.
23:36A shot.
23:37Fainting.
23:38Fainting.
23:39So, Conor Ben has been cut over both eyes.
23:44Regis Progrey trying to make life difficult for the native son.
23:58Conor Ben's cut man is Mark Seltzer, earning his keep tonight.
24:12I think there's another head clash.
24:16That's the thing, when you fight southpaws,
24:19an orthodox fighter really needs to be aware that a southpaw who understands
24:24that their head can come in nice and low.
24:27They're usually a southpaw who understands that and keeps his chin low,
24:30so you become, if you're an orthodox fighter, you end up coming off second best.
24:38These two are going head to head in more than one way, and it's definitely
24:43impacted Conor Ben, although his comportment
24:47seems to be in check.
24:50As we begin round seven, scheduled for 10.
24:53Sharp jab lands for Ben to begin the round.
24:56Conor Ben responding the way a fighter's supposed to respond when they get cut.
25:00He's unbothered.
25:01He's not focused on it.
25:02He's staying focused on the opponent and the game plan in hand.
25:10Nice left hand lands upstairs for Pro Grey.
25:13Like that, Pro Grey leaned in slightly, timed counter bend, a single shot, but a clean shot.
25:20Pro Grey's legs seem to be a little unsteady.
25:22I'm not sure if that's a balanced thing or-
25:25Or are the rumors about an existing injury coming into the fight?
25:29No, there's no injury.
25:30That's just miles on the old dominant.
25:32That's miles.
25:33That's wear and tear.
25:34That's all that is.
25:35There's nothing about an injury.
25:37It is his 34th professional fight.
25:39He's been in many battles, and here he's in another pitched battle with Conor Ben,
25:44younger, by eight years, coming off the big win over Chris Eubank Jr. here at
25:51Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and Ben now looking to put together combinations.
25:56Ben's asserting himself, testing the tank, testing the mind and the body of Pro Grey,
26:01with twos, threes, and fours, and many of those shots have landed clean in this round.
26:07He's setting a hell of a pace for-
26:09He's knocking Pro Grey off down.
26:11He is, he really pushed him off balance, the inside work.
26:16He's trying to use his advantages, which is his size and his strength and his power.
26:22The key of freshness.
26:23The key adjustment been made when he started to go to the body with a two-fisted attack.
26:27And that was his corner's instruction.
26:29And that opened up the head shots, the same head shots that he was leading with,
26:32that he started missing.
26:34Now all of a sudden, my goodness.
26:36Ripping the body shot, and another look to the body.
26:39Ben really putting the oomph in those body shots to Pro Grey.
26:44It's tight, but it's right.
26:45Pro Grey better get his defense up and start hitting Ben to the body,
26:50because Ben is ripping both shots, another shot for the body.
26:53Final minutes.
26:54He keeps landing those shots, we might not be here very long,
26:56because they're landing clean.
26:58Right hand lands for Pro Grey upstairs.
27:01Ben hands a little, and Ben got momentarily stopped there, but comes for it.
27:06Pro Grey going to the body.
27:08His body shots are draining Pro Grey.
27:10He better get his defense up and protect his body and try to counter Ben.
27:15That's another way you stop a fighter from hitting you to the body.
27:18You block counter, and he thinks twice before he reaches down there.
27:21The fight offered at 150 with no re-igration clause.
27:25Pro Grey said additional money was negotiated because of the weight situation.
27:31Now that weight behind the punches of Ben.
27:36Nasty body attack from Connor Ben.
27:38We wanted to see adjustments, as you just saw at this round.
27:41Keeps targeting the bread basket.
27:43The midsection of Regis Pro Grey sapping the energy, looking to steal the soul of Rougarou.
27:51Big round for Ben there, big round.
27:53He was loading up with those body shots.
27:58And his father not showing any real emotion either way, the poker face.
28:03Well, yeah, Pops has been there and done that.
28:05This is another day in the office.
28:06It's his baby boy up there, but he understands what's happening.
28:09So you won't see much emotion from Ben.
28:13See this two-fisted attack right there.
28:15Not that shot.
28:15That was Pro Grey early in the round.
28:17But Ben just kept pouring on the pressure.
28:20It's the same shot we just saw.
28:22Hopefully we get to see some counter Ben work here,
28:24because he did great work in that last round.
28:27Ooh, good shot right there underneath the heart right there.
28:30Came with a ripping shot around the ear and back to the body.
28:33And you saw the offense drop off drastically of Regis Pro Grey.
28:37That's because those shots hurt, and he doesn't wanna open himself up to get hit there.
28:41But they also physically drain you.
28:44A convivial atmosphere here, an ocean of humanity convening at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
28:51And this has been one of the fights they came to see.
28:54The co-main event, Conor Ben going to the body with the left hook.
28:58Regis Pro Grey, a former two-time champion at 140, moving up to 150 to meet this challenge.
29:04And Ben unloading on the American.
29:08Conor Ben needs to stay in the body.
29:10Go to the body first, then it's to the head second.
29:13Shoot low, that's right.
29:15The more he shoots low, the more Pro Grey brings his arms down.
29:18So when he does go for the head assault, he can show down and go high.
29:22All right, let's take a look at the statistics according to CompuBox.
29:26As we are into the eighth round scheduled, 4-10.
29:30And Ben again putting together combinations, Pro Grey trying to stymie his attack.
29:48Pro Grey's face showing the wear and tear, not just of this fight, but of his career, Andre.
29:53It is a long career, and it is what it is, it's part of the fight game.
29:58We all gotta deal with it as fighters, but Pro Grey needs to find another adjustment.
30:04Pro Grey made an adjustment, now Ben made another adjustment.
30:07Does Pro Grey have anything in his bag to stop these body shots from landing?
30:11Now Pro Grey sparring with former welterweight champion Sean Porter
30:14as useful preparation because, of course, Porter brings a lot of pressure.
30:19But he's even bigger than Ben, and Pro Grey thought that the work with Porter
30:24would help him avoid the physicality of Ben, that's not been the case.
30:29Well, sparring is great, you need it to get you ready, but it doesn't tell the whole story.
30:34You have to execute when you get in there with the opponent in real time,
30:38small gloves, and in front of a live crowd.
30:49Pace has abated a bit here in the eighth as Pro Grey looking to go to the body bend,
30:55using that upper body movement.
30:57I think one adjustment Pro Grey can make is hit Ben to the body.
31:00He's had success, not a lot, but at moments when he does throw,
31:04it's working for Ben, it can work for Pro Grey.
31:10This is the perfect match for Ben.
31:13He's been asked questions, he's had to dig in deep.
31:20What about the questions that boxing fans may be saying, yeah,
31:25but he's fighting a grown up 140 pounder.
31:28The guy's landing shots, Pro Grey's landing good quality shots.
31:33And what did he weigh today?
31:35He wasn't as much.
31:36Heavy man at 148.1, so actually under the 150 pound limit.
31:43And for Ben, Ben was 149.5.
31:47Oh, body shot, and the right hand's up there by Ben at the bell.
31:57Ben taking control here, taking back control.
32:19One of the few left hands that Regis Pro Grey landed right there,
32:23and he often lands when Connor Ben gets over anxious, and he misses a shot.
32:29And all Pro Grey has to do is just turn the left hand over,
32:32which is a natural punch for Pro Grey.
32:34He's got nothing underneath, but you start banging him up now, all right?
32:37He makes his banged up bad.
32:39Five is out, Joe.
32:42Coming up, the much-anticipated main event, the Clash of the Giants.
32:46Second's out.
32:46Two-time heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, returns after his fifth retirement
32:51against knockout artist Arslan Bex Mahmoudov.
32:54That will come your way minutes after the conclusion of tonight's co-feature attraction.
33:00The penultimate round, and Connor Ben putting together the combinations as we
33:05look at David Hayes' unofficial scorecard, and he has Ben pulling away.
33:11Can Pro Grey find a way to get to the end of this fight?
33:14Because Connor Ben is applying a lot of pressure, and can Ben find a way to get a shot,
33:19or the shots through, that stops the veteran Regis programmed.
33:25Obviously, it's easier said than done, David.
33:27But how much would a knockout help Ben moving forward?
33:32I think exactly what's happened is the perfect thing.
33:35He's getting quality rounds, and it's very difficult to get rounds against Ben.
33:40So this is the type of place, the learning fight.
33:43If he can get the stop, it's great, but he doesn't wanna risk walking onto something
33:47just to get the ring.
33:48He's won the majority of the rounds.
33:51And you remember, he's a young fighter coming through these quality fights that he's gonna
33:56get better from.
33:57And when you look at the lay of the land at welterweight,
33:59what do you think about Ben's performance when you consider what the championship
34:04level is like in this division, aren't we?
34:06Yeah, Ben is gonna have to continue to grow, because you just start getting to that
34:10upper echelon in the welterweight division.
34:12There's gonna be adjustments and more adjustments and more adjustments that are made
34:16that are made to be at that level.
34:17And this fight is gonna be compared to the fight that Devin Haney had with Regis Progray.
34:21You can bet that.
34:22Yeah.
34:23Ben, starting to find some flow, right hand on the inside as they clinch.
34:29Minute and a half left in the ninth round.
34:36Body shot by Ben.
34:38Very good, very good body shot.
34:39There's Progray going to the body.
34:42Regis is a dog, man, he's tough, he's got no clit in him, and even though offensively he's not
34:48putting forth enough effort, the toughness and the durability is there, and I respect that.
34:52Yeah, and while he may be past his peak, like you said, he's got the experience,
34:55the athletic instincts, and the proven punching power, he has never been stopped.
35:02I can see why as well now, Ben's landed some concussive shots, many fighters in and around
35:09this weight, wouldn't have had to take this type of abuse.
35:13Ben with 14 knockouts, Progray with 24 KOs, just over 30 seconds left in this the penultimate round.
35:24Ben hasn't given, Ben's pace, his fitness, his conditioning, he's really,
35:30he looks the same as he did in the first round.
35:34I don't know why this was a ten-rounder.
35:36Yeah, Progray, his face beginning to look like it was put together like a ransom note, Andre.
35:43He's eating a lot of leather upstairs, but he is tough.
35:46He's getting hit with a lot of leather and he's light-skinned, man, a light-skinned project.
35:49You know, if the wind blows too hard, you don't have to walk on your face.
35:53Stay back, stay back, stay back, stay back, stay back, stay back, stay back, stay back.
35:57Yeah, swelling over that left eye, around the eye of Progray,
36:01as we have reached the tenth and final round.
36:13His Excellency Jerky Al Alsheikh, responsible for this huge
36:19night.
36:19Oh, who we got there?
36:21Queensbury.
36:23The promoters.
36:24Frank Warren in the house.
36:25Yes.
36:29Interesting what's going on in the sport of boxing, but look at Tyson Fury.
36:35He feels good.
36:37Dancing to the Godfather, James Brown.
36:41And while James Brown may have been the hardest working man in show business,
36:46Tyson Fury loves to put on a show.
36:53Sick is out.
36:54So the tenth and final round here at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
36:59Will Connor Ben put an emphatic closure on the show?
37:04Can Regis Progray pull out one last big punch?
37:09You know Ben wants a stoppage.
37:11He's wanted it from the first round, and he's doing whatever he can to get it.
37:15Including pushing Progray now.
37:21If he doesn't stop Progray, it wasn't through a lack of effort, put it that way.
37:27Progray's literally falling all over the place.
37:29Back there, very unsteady legs.
37:36What about the adage that once you move up in weight, it's harder to move back down?
37:40He's only 29, so is that a problem for a guy like Ben?
37:43We haven't seen any of those issues here tonight in terms of his power, right?
37:48No issues with the weight.
37:49If he goes three pounds south to 147, I think he'll be fine.
37:54He said that as much, so we have to take him out as well until we see otherwise.
37:59Left hands from Progray.
38:00There's the jab from Progray.
38:02Ben misses with the right as they clinch.
38:04Just over two minutes left in the fight.
38:09And according to David Hayes' unofficial scorecard,
38:13Regis Progray will indeed need his 25th knockout to pull out the victory.
38:24Progray's still in there, still chucking shots.
38:26Ben's still got to stay alert.
38:29Progray's going to the bitter end.
38:37Backing Progray up, Progray saying come into the corner.
38:39I'll set it track.
38:40He came in with a head, he came in with a head there.
38:46There have been three accidental head glasses.
38:49That one didn't look accidental.
38:51Yeah, and then that's one that did produce blood.
38:54It looked like he called him in, and as he came in, he walked into his head.
38:59That was an old trick, an old trick of his.
39:05The final 60 seconds of this co-feature.
39:11Conor Benn coming off victory here at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against Chris Eubank Jr.,
39:17including dropping him in the final round against the double-top former two-time champion at 140 pounds,
39:24Regis Progray coming up in weight, has never been stopped.
39:29What do they have left for us?
39:30I think this is a good, solid victory, a workman-like victory from Conor Benn.
39:35I think what we're seeing tonight is 70% Conor Benn and everything he brings to the table,
39:40and 30% Regis Progray and what he doesn't have anymore.
39:44That's what we're seeing on display tonight.
39:45And there's Eddie Hearn sitting at ringside, not showing any emotion.
39:49You wonder what he thinks of Ben's performance tonight,
39:52after leaving his longtime promoter for Zufa boxing.
39:56Ben trying to out-box Progray here in the final round.
40:02It will come to the three judges at ringside to determine a victor,
40:07but from where we sit, it's all Conor Benn.
40:16All right, we will get the official decision when we come back live on Netflix.
40:3210 rounds are in the books here at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
40:37Will it be Conor Benn or Regis Progray?
40:41We will momentarily find out Progray marked up.
40:46So has Conor Benn after those accidental clashes,
40:49but part of being a professional fighter is having to overcome adversity of all kinds,
40:55building character and building that mental and physical fortitude.
41:01Both of them are showing off the vestiges of what was a 10-round battle.
41:19And he heard Anthony Joshua sitting at ringside.
41:24It's good to see AJ in the house after suffering that personal tragedy.
41:28And, of course, he will be watching the main event with vested interest.
41:33Because if Tyson Fury prevails over Arslan Bach-Machmoudoff,
41:37plans are to stage the biggest fight in British boxing history.
41:42A big fight for both Ben and Progray.
41:45And I believe we've got the official decision.
41:49Let's go back to Michael Buffer.
41:52Ladies and gentlemen, after 10 rounds of boxing, we go to the scorecards.
42:01All three judges scored the same, 98-92 for the winner by unanimous decision.
42:09Conor the Destroyer, Ben!
42:15Well, Regis Progray immediately applauded, so he has no issues with this.
42:20Conor Benn goes 10 rounds with the former two-time 140-pound champion.
42:26And it looks like they have definitely earned each other's respect.
42:29As Ben gets the job done for the third, well, the second consecutive time here at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
42:37But it's third consecutive fight here in this North London Cathedral.
42:43So Conor Benn, the Destroyer, improves to 25-1, getting it done.
42:50And let's see what the future...
