00:10Okay lads, when I say stop, you stop boxing. When I say break, take a step back. Keep your
00:15hands up, protect yourself at all times. Good luck to you both. Good luck. British heavyweight
00:19title on the line. TKV won it in his 11th fight. Only Horace Notice has won it in fewer fights,
00:26doing so in 10, while Richard Riakpour, his second consecutive appearance in Totem, where
00:31he scored a second round knockout of the previously unbeaten Tommy Welch last November. Riakpour
00:39dropped him three times with red right hands. Shout out Nick Cave, shout out Peaky Blinders.
00:50Seconds out, round one.
00:53And for Riakpour, this is his third fight with Billy Nelson, all at heavyweight, where
00:58we mentioned he's 2-0. Two knockouts. Nelson expects another KO tonight. He says the challenger,
01:05that being Riakpour, is too fast, too clever, and too powerful.
01:10Well, we're getting ready to find out. I love how everybody has a plan.
01:14Until what? Until they get hit in the mouth or things start to go south. And we're going
01:20to see. And that's why I love the sport of boxing, because what's on paper doesn't fight. The fighters
01:25have to fight to see it all play out. And it's going to play out right before our eyes.
01:29And for TKV, David, a homecoming. He grew up just a few streets away from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium,
01:36went to school across the road from this estimable edifice. And he says it doesn't get better than this.
01:42But then again, with the hometown advantage, come hometown stressors.
01:49You can look at it two ways, but I think he's really soaking this up.
01:53He's fighting somebody he knows already. He's sparred with him before, a long time ago.
01:58But when I talked to him at the weigh-in, he said to me, I asked, I tried to get
02:03some information.
02:03I said, how was it when you sparred? He gave me no information.
02:06I asked Riakpour the same thing. I know you sparred, how did it go?
02:09Niva wanted to say what happened. The right uppercut landed for Riakpour,
02:12but then he takes TKV down. That was a vicious right uppercut that landed.
02:16Well, that was actually a jab, a straight jab from Riakpour that stunned Shakiba,
02:21and then the uppercut, and then the takedown.
02:25I think Shakiba's still a bit hurt, and Riakpour knows it.
02:30Let's see what he does.
02:32TKV definitely felt that right uppercut.
02:34It's, from a visual standpoint, it's Anthony Joshua, Andy Ruiz Jr.
02:40It's a similar thing, but looks can be deceiving.
02:43Just ask AJ how that fight went for him.
02:46You know, but it looks like TKV is the one coming up from cruiserweight to heavyweight,
02:52and Riakpour is the natural heavyweight.
02:55Riakpour has won seven straight via knockout, looking to become a two-weight British champion.
03:00After previously winning the British title at cruiserweight in 2019,
03:05he split two fights with Chris Billum-Smith, including a loss when he challenged
03:10Billum-Smith for the cruiserweight title.
03:13But Riakpour off to a good start here tonight, Andre.
03:15Just landing a good body shot, came over the top with an overhand right,
03:19that got Shakiba's attention.
03:20That's why you see him with both guards up, backing up and not punching.
03:24Ooh, right hand.
03:24And Riakpour knows it, which is why he's slowly putting on more pressure.
03:28I had a conversation with Ruben Tavares, a Riakpour strength and conditioning coach,
03:33and I said to him, has he got 12 rounds in him?
03:37And Ruben said, yes, he has.
03:39I've been really pushing him, really working his cardio.
03:43He said he's got a big frame and he carries out 106 kilograms really well.
03:48So Ruben used to train me to make sure I had 12 rounds of action in me, no matter what,
03:54and 12 rounds of good quality explosive punching.
03:57And if Ruben says he's got his conditioning right, it could be very bad for TKV.
04:03Combination at the bell by Riakpour and, well, we are inside a spectacular setting for
04:10Fight Night.
04:11And let's take a look at who's getting comfortable ahead of tonight's main event.
04:18Ah, look at this.
04:20They brought their whole dining room, including the Thrones, to the stadium.
04:25It's Tyson Fury's wife, Paris, and daughter, Valenzuela, as they make themselves at home.
04:30A big hello from the Fury family, relaxing, as Tyson would say, dossing.
04:36It's finally time to put the kettle on and catch up with the whole Fury family
04:40in their reality series that takes you behind the headlines into their chaotic day-to-day life.
04:46At Home with the Furies is back with season two, Tomorrow on Netflix.
04:52What a treat.
04:57Riakpour, because he has a size advantage, you see that uppercut right there?
05:02That hurt Shakiva, and the takedown was just Shakiva trying to survive and getting the feet caught up.
05:10That should give Riakpour a lot of confidence.
05:14The fact that in his first British title, heavyweight contest,
05:18he's able to really establish himself as the more dominant of the two fighters.
05:23The champion, it doesn't look like TKV is the champion in here at the moment.
05:29Muscles don't win fights, but that, what you just saw Riakpour do on the inside,
05:34that's when it comes in handy, that physical strength when you both are locked up,
05:38and you can manhandle the opponent.
05:40You can wear him down, and send a subtle, not so subtle message that I'm the stronger fighter.
05:44Yeah, TKV's dad, Makassi, must have been disappointed with that takedown by Riakpour,
05:49because his son excelled at wrestling.
05:51And as a wrestling background, and of course, coming up in the main event,
05:55we had Arslanbek Mahmoudov, who once wrestled the bear, and then put Tyson Fury in a bear hug
05:59at the final press conference before playfully picking him up. But like Terrence Crawford,
06:04he had a wrestling background, it can help in the clinch.
06:06It can help, because clinching and knowing how to-
06:11A little bit of blood there, TKV.
06:13Yeah, there's some blood on the forehead of TKV, and a sharp jab right through the guard by Riakpour.
06:19I think it's the nose, fellas. The nose is badly bloodied,
06:23and it's splattering all over the face of Skiba.
06:26It's that straight ramrod jab. Yeah.
06:29It really is pushing it home.
06:31And the fans sensing TKV might be in trouble here in the...
06:38Referee holding a brief ten attempt.
06:43I get it. There's some clinching, but it's momentum in the fight.
06:47I don't know why a speech needs to be had right now.
06:50Right.
06:51It was so unnecessary.
06:52The jab of Riakpour doing its job, although TKV closed.
06:56He loses the distance, clinching and digging away.
06:58Now using his forearm to frame Riakpour.
07:03The referee could have actually said something about the elbow, not the clinch.
07:08Right.
07:09Well, ask Tim Zhu about elbows.
07:11Walked right into Sebastian Fundora's elbow in what was one of the more bloodier fights
07:16we've seen in recent history.
07:17Riakpour does have a pulverizing jab.
07:21He's landing it flush, but then he presses it into the face of Skiba.
07:25This is a very tactical slow beatdown.
07:29It doesn't look like Riakpour is doing much, but every shot is precise and every shot is hard.
07:34And you're seeing the damage add up already at the end of the second round.
07:37Yeah, TKV trying to go downstairs, but gets countered immediately by Riakpour.
07:41But as long as they clinch, it gives TKV an opportunity to recover the bigger man.
07:48Not in the same physical shape as Riakpour.
07:52But again, those muscles need oxygen.
07:57But Sneaky right that Riakpour just tried there, but just missed.
08:01The tempo of Skiba.
08:03I like the fact that Riakpour isn't taking any unnecessary shots yet.
08:06There have been very few shots that he's walked onto.
08:09You know, he's trying to keep his distance.
08:11He's trying to fight smart and serve his energy.
08:13So it's a 12-round contest at a weight he's not fought at yet at this level.
08:18We are here at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
08:20Let's check in with Anna Wilhouse, who's standing by with the Gypsy King.
08:25Tyson, really lovely to see you.
08:27The big night is finally here.
08:3016 months out of the ring, coming back of your fifth retirement.
08:34And can you believe it? It's four years since you fought here.
08:37I bet you're itching, itching to get back in that ring tonight.
08:40It's not been like it's been a fight week, really.
08:42It's been so relaxed and calm.
08:43And all day, even today, last night, no jitters.
08:45No, like, ooh, I'm fighting tomorrow and all that.
08:48Got a little bit of a nice sleep.
08:49I've rested all day and starting to get real now.
08:52I'm in the changing rooms and starting to get, like, fight time.
08:55How much of a threat are you seeing, Matt Madov?
08:58Could he be a potential banana skin, do you think, for you?
09:01Anybody's a potential banana skin in this division.
09:04It's heavyweight box, it only takes one punch, as we know.
09:06But if I can go out there and do what I do best,
09:08then the best of Tyson Fury beats the best of Matt Madov any day.
09:13Tyson Fury, Arslan back with Madov, the main event.
09:17But right now, we're watching the British heavyweight title being contested.
09:21The champion, TKV, tough sledding against the challenger, Richard Reaktor.
09:29And, of course, when it comes to boxing, it all begins with the jab.
09:33And Reaktor doing a good job there, landing 15 of 39 compared to 9 of 42 for TKV.
09:40By the way, TKV coming into this fight, 44% of his landed punches were body shots,
09:46compared to only 22% for Reaktor.
09:50The CompuBox average for heavyweights, 29%.
09:52So TKV just got rocked there with another right from Reaktor.
09:56That right uppercut has been on the money from Reaktor.
10:01These first two, two and a half rounds, and Skiba's gotta get going.
10:05He's jabbing, but he's gotta start hitting Reaktor with something that at least gets
10:10some respect or makes Reaktor think twice before he throws his offense.
10:14But so far, he hasn't shown any resistance.
10:18There's been no adjustments from TKV at the moment.
10:23Oh, right hand right on the button for Reaktor.
10:27And TKV, the wrestler, continues to make this a Greco-Roman match.
10:31And the referee has seen enough, it looks like.
10:35Meanwhile, Arslan back and Mahmoudov taking in the ambiance,
10:39the atmosphere of this estimable edifice Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, a quick peek,
10:44before he retreats to the dressing room to prepare for the biggest fight of his life.
10:56Action resumes here with just over a minute and a half remaining in round three.
11:02A sluggish start for TKV, but Richard Reaktor putting it on him.
11:07He really is.
11:09Reaktor is fighting like he's the champion in here.
11:12And TKV is the challenger.
11:13I haven't seen anything with TKV to show that he's establishing himself here
11:19as the heavyweight champion, he needs to change what he's doing.
11:24Referee has had issues with the clinch.
11:26We see it continue, Andre, and it seems to be initiated by TKV.
11:31Yeah, I think it's a bit excessive, but it's also not anything that I think should be
11:35the focal point of this fight.
11:36I think the referee just needs to remember that there's heavyweights in there.
11:40They clinch, get in there, earn your money, push them apart, and tell them to fight.
11:43It's okay to give a verbal warning without stopping the action.
11:47But I don't think it's been anything excessive that causes for this action to be stopped.
11:52Reaktor, who again in his last fight dropped his opponent three times with right hands.
11:58He is looking to do the same here, looking to detonate a mighty right at the expense of TKV.
12:05I'd like to see Reaktor throw a three, four punch combination.
12:09He's throwing a good jab, uppercut, right uppercut, or a good jab, straight right hand.
12:13Bring that left hook and another right hand behind it.
12:16And that may be the recipe to get TKV out of there.
12:24It's becoming a bit of a clinch fest at the moment.
12:28I'd like him to stand off and let a few combinations go.
12:32As Andre said, it would be a prettier fight to watch.
12:36Reaktor trying to do that as we come to the end of the round.
12:43And yes, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II stars in the explosive new action series Man on Fire,
12:51which premieres on Netflix on April 30th.
12:54You're not going to want to miss this intense new show.
12:57As the fans here at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and around the world,
13:01well, they would like this fight to catch fire.
13:04Yeah, we all would at the moment.
13:07It's early stages, huh?
13:08This time in the last three minutes, it's still going to be able to want to.
13:11You can't see a lot of the fans, you're going to be able to get consistency.
13:14We knew this was done in the first couple rounds, yeah?
13:16You're going to take over.
13:18Now, you start listening and start putting it all together now.
13:20Make sure you get that position in the right, yeah?
13:23When you miss one, a little cut is going to put it.
13:25Okay, deep breath.
13:26You got this, do it right?
13:26Yeah, you're going to take over, mate.
13:27You're going to take over.
13:29Discipline.
13:30Okay.
13:30All right, down chill.
13:31Right, you got this, Jack.
13:32This place, let's go.
13:33Hey coach, come on!
13:38Well, according to TKV's corner, he's going to take over.
13:42And it's round four, so as you mentioned, Dave, it's still early goings,
13:46but a much better start for TKV trying to establish the jab on him.
13:50Yeah, he's doing what he has to do in the first 15 seconds, but it has to be sustained,
13:55and it has to be for the duration of a round, or his opponent's not going to respect him.
14:01Maybe that was TKV's plan, to make it ugly, make it clinchy,
14:05make it messy, to try to drain Reactpour's energy, then from round four get a point taken off.
14:13And the ref isn't having any more of the messiness.
14:15He's taking control of that right now.
14:17I don't know what he did there to get that point taken off.
14:20Well, that, he was using his head the wrong way, according to the referee.
14:25So this British heavyweight title fight, and again, here's the...
14:31All right, so he's unhappy with him leading with his head.
14:35The pocket rocket you saw, Cruz, and he'd seen enough.
14:39I missed that one live, I missed that one live.
14:42I think there's space and opportunity for both fighters to do more,
14:46for both fighters to seize this moment and try to get this fight over with.
14:51These are both heavyweights, they got enough power, and it's a big stage on the main card.
14:56I think it's time for both of them to step it up.
14:58I agree with you, Andre, the numbers.
15:01You have Reactpour landing more, TKV throwing more, but Reactpour has been
15:09the better looking fighter in terms of technique, but
15:13for a British heavyweight title fight, it does leave a little bit to be desired right now.
15:17It does, I'd like to see a left hook at the end of both of their right hands.
15:21Good shot right there from Shakiba.
15:23He could have put a left hook to the end of it, it wouldn't hurt.
15:27Yeah, TKV began. Go ahead, Andre.
15:30That right hand froze Reactpour right in his tracks, but Shakiba did not follow up.
15:35And they exchanged body jabs. TKV started boxing at the relatively advanced age of 19.
15:43He's also educated with a degree in marketing communications and advertising from Kingston
15:49University. He needs to show a little better ring IQ in his maiden voyage as British heavyweight champion.
16:00A rare one-two from TKV David.
16:03Yeah, when he puts his punches together, he looks great.
16:06He just got to do it more often.
16:08And I was intrigued with his corners. They seem very comfortable where he is.
16:13Maybe part of the plan was just to drag it out and try to tire Reactpour and then take over
16:19late.
16:19Remember, it's a 12-round fight.
16:23There's a long, long way to go.
16:25Right hand lead by Reactpour.
16:28Took the words right out of my mouth.
16:30The right hand is the punch for Reactpour.
16:32If I'm Reactpour, I'm throwing a heavy dose of left hands to blind Shakiba, and
16:38I'm going right hand crazy within myself, and I'm letting the right hand go over the top,
16:43underneath, to the body, back to the head, so I can get this fight over.
16:47Reactpour just delivering heavy blows with the left and the right, and
16:51then TKV stops him in his tracks with a clinch.
16:58TKV looks quite comfortable in there.
17:01It's not a crazy pace, but he doesn't seem like he's gassed out.
17:05Both fighters seem like they're in deep condition.
17:07No one's really showing any signs of weariness.
17:10So while we have the British Heavyweight Championship hanging in the balance,
17:14a former two-time world champion at 140 pounds, Regis Progray getting his hands wrapped,
17:19and final preparation for his fight at a contract weight of 150.
17:24He tried to get this fight at 147 with a rehydration clause.
17:29Conor Benn being the A-side said, no, thank you.
17:31I'm making my way back to welterweight.
17:33We're doing this fight at 150, and there is the Destroyer coming off the biggest win of his
17:38career against arch rival Chris Eubank Jr.
17:40This will be his third straight fight here at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
17:45And, of course, Ben making headlines for leaving Matchroom Boxing and signing a one-fight lucrative
17:52deal with Zupa Boxing.
17:53Speaking of Matchroom, Eddie Hearn indeed is here at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
17:59And there is Anthony Joshua.
18:01Will Eddie Hearn visit Conor Benn in the dressing room, as Ben invited him to do?
18:07There's soap opera, there's drama.
18:09There's everything going on in the heavyweight division these days.
18:13And, of course, the 150-pound contract weight.
18:18And here, speaking of heavyweights, we begin round at number five, and Reaktor
18:24just looking to go behind the jab while Shakiba trying to disrupt him.
18:29And Reaktor's got such a beautiful jab, and it's so powerful.
18:33I'm not sure why he's not throwing it more.
18:35I'd like to see a lot more left hands from Reaktor, and then come behind that left hand
18:40with the big right hand. Make Shakiba get out of the way. Make him make the adjustment.
18:45Well, for Reaktor, he told us he's an aggressive, entertainment-focused fighter,
18:50whose style is built around offensive intent and finishing opponents.
18:55His main asset has been his power, and on cue, TKV feels the power and gets knocked down!
19:04Crisp right hand.
19:08I'm not sure if TKV is gonna- Reaktor seeking his eighth consecutive finish,
19:16has dropped the defending British Heavyweight Champion, and Andre now working behind the jab.
19:21As he should to get the same shot that just hurt Shakiba in there again to get the fight over
19:26with.
19:27He's looking for it.
19:27The defending champion in a dire situation, eats another solid right hand and clinches,
19:34and you wonder how much more the referee's gonna take of this clinching from TKV,
19:39because Reaktor is on the doorstep. Left hand of the body, TKV shelling up on the ropes,
19:47avoiding some of those shots. And again, the wrestling match breaks out between the former
19:53wrestler TKV and Reaktor. I don't think Reaktor needs to do that,
19:57I know why he did it. He wanted to get Shakiba off of him, but he can just pull his
20:01arm out,
20:02take a half step back, and unleash the right hand.
20:05He's gotta be very careful not to unload unnecessary, needs to pick his shots.
20:10He's in a position where he's got plenty of time. He can really line it up, like he said just
20:15then.
20:16So that right hand and the left, the damaging weapons, Reaktor King off on the champion.
20:24TKV trying to, the referee intervenes and.
20:28But I didn't like that stoppage there.
20:30I don't know if I like that stoppage as well.
20:32I think it was terrible, terrible, terrible stoppage.
20:34He pushed him off in. He kind of undid. Reaktor, as far as unaware,
20:39was gonna knock him out very, very soon.
20:41And he should have been given the opportunity to do so, right?
20:43He's fighting the champion. The champion shouldn't get stopped like that.
20:46I don't think it was a terrible stoppage. I think it was maybe a punch or two,
20:50maybe too soon. And I think the veracity in which those punches were hitting the gloves
20:54and grazing off of Shakiba, it made the referee concerned. You saw him almost jump in,
21:00and then he jumped in, so he's probably a punch or two too soon, but he stopped the inevitable from
21:05happening.
21:05He almost jumped in, and TKV responded like he jumped in, and he hadn't jumped in.
21:10And it was a bit of a discombobulated finish.
21:15You know, coming into this fight, Reaktor, let's listen in if we can, as Reaktor is in front of the
21:20champion,
21:21trying to console him and give him his props. But Reaktor says,
21:27some people may underestimate how seriously he trades because of his public image,
21:32including fashion and media appearances. He has worked as a model, and he's friends with none other
21:38than Madonna, who has appeared at boxing events over the years. But Richard Reaktor,
21:44with his eighth consecutive knockout, is the new British heavyweight champion.
21:53The Lonsdale belt, the heavyweight championship of Britain, going back to 1909.
21:59Well, tonight, we have crowned the 53rd champion in its history. The Midnight Train ran right over
22:06Jamie TKV, Reaktor. And here is the replace of his performance here tonight as Reaktor TKO's TKV.
22:20And you knew I was going to do that.
22:21I like that. I like that. But he did it with the right hand, and that's the shot that we
22:26knew
22:26was going to be the money shot. That's a heavy shot, even from a guy who's not a heavyweight.
22:31But Reaktor is a heavyweight. Look where it lands. Boom, right there on the side of the ear.
22:37That shakes your brain, throws off your equilibrium, which is why you got the reaction
22:42that you just saw from him. And then Reaktor came in there and finished it just the way he was
22:47supposed to. He's got a lot to like. I want to see more from him. I want to see more
22:52jabs,
22:52and for him to trust his offense earlier in fights because he's got the skill set to do it.
22:57He was, uh, if you look at the shots, how many of them landed flush on the champion?
23:02Remember TKV is the champion. He's a glance and blows. Catching the arms.
23:08I think he kind of, he didn't give Reaktor the opportunity to finish it like he would have
23:15wanted to finish it. I can agree with both you guys, but it's always better to have and stop the
23:21punch
23:21too soon than a punch too late. And you're right.
23:24He wasn't in the situation. He was against the ropes. He wasn't, his legs weren't gone.
23:28He was going to lose, in my opinion. Last point on that, but the referee,

23:51Our referee in charge. Lee Every steps in to stop the contest. Therefore, your winner by way of
23:58technical knockout. And new British heavyweight champion, Richard the Midnight Train Reaktor.
24:13Reaktor, the new British heavyweight champion. As a heavyweight, he is 3-0 with three knockouts. His
24:21eighth consecutive stoppage win. And his trainer, Billy Nelson, was a prophet. He expected a KO.
