00:07in Kampung Baru Muafakat, Galang Pata, on Thursday.
00:11Johor Immigration Department Director Datuk Mohamad Rusti Mohamad Darus said the surprise
00:16operation, codenamed Ops Sapu, was carried out at 12.20am.
00:22Those detained, aged between 2 and 59, comprised 31 Pakistani men, three Myanmar men, a Myanmar
00:29boy, two Myanmar women, two Indonesian women, and an Indonesian girl.
00:35Initial checks found they lacked valid travel documents and had overstayed.
00:39The group had been living in a multi-room house at the settlement for about two months.
00:44They are being investigated under the Immigration Regulations 1963 as well as the Immigration
00:51Act 1959-63.
00:54All detainees have been placed at the Sertia Tropica Immigration Depot in Johor Bahru for
00:59further action.
