Ninety undocumented foreigners were detained following an immigration raid on Old Klang Road on Monday (Dec 15) night.

The raid targeting an area believed to be a gathering spot for undocumented foreigners and was carried out following public complaints and two weeks of intelligence gathering by the department’s enforcement division.

00:00Ninety undocumented foreigners were detained following an immigration raid on Old Klang
00:07Road on Monday night.
00:09The raid targeting an area believed to be a gathering spot for undocumented foreigners
00:15and was carried out following public complaints and two weeks of intelligence gathering by
00:19the Department's Enforcement Division.
00:22Ninety foreign nationals aged between 21 and 35 were detained for offences including overstaying
00:29and failing to produce valid travel documents.
00:33A summons was also issued to the owner of a restaurant located in the area to assist with
00:38investigations.
00:41Investigations revealed that some of the foreign nationals allegedly used expired passes as
00:46a cover while engaging in small-scale business activities in open areas such as parking lots
00:52and around eateries.
00:55All those detained were taken to the KLIA immigration detention depot for further investigation and
01:01action.
