00:00So we walked to the second tee and I feel like this, this tee is very claustrophobic, right? I think
00:05guys get back here and it, you know what the hole looks like down the hill, but all you really
00:11can see is that bunker that you're aiming at. And you know, that left of the fairway all runs off
00:17down the pine straw into a Creek. That's down there that nobody really ever sees on TV, but you know,
00:23is there talk about just this tee shot and the challenges that, that you might have with
00:29not really even feeling the wind, especially back in that little corridor there.
00:35That's, that's well said. Yeah. You, you, you, to me, you on the second hole, the wind gets blocked out
00:41there on the first and second shot as much as anywhere else on that golf course. But yeah, you, you
00:47stand up there on that tee. It's, it's very bowling alley look looking like, and you know, you're certainly trying
00:54to avoid that bunker. And of course the famous old story from the masters was that when a player,
00:59they're asked, you know, drove it left there off that tee towards that Creek. And he asked his caddy, what
01:03was down there? The, the, the caddy responded, there's a Delta ticket counter down there.
01:08The only thing down there that's any good is going to make you miss the cut. So you, you know,
01:16again, like the first hole, there's very few people in the field that can fly that, that, that fairway bunker.
01:21It's, it's quite a number off that tee.
01:23So you're looking to fit something, you know, between the bunker and the left edge of that fairway. And there's
01:29overhanging trees. And I was paired. I wasn't listening to me.
01:33We were paired with John Robb when I worked for Justin Thomas, the year that the year that John Robb
01:38won the tournament several years ago.
01:39And he doubled the first hole gets up on two T and pulls it off the tee and it hits
01:47a tree about 280,
01:5090 yards off the tee. And if that ball goes left down there towards that Creek, his tournament very well
01:55could be over.
01:56It ended up kicking straight right into the fairway.
02:00He was able to knock the ball on in two and, and birdie that hole went on and shot something
02:06like 66 that day in an incredible comeback.
02:08The last 17 holes and won the tournament. And I always thought to myself that break off that tree, you
02:14know,
02:14it could have been the difference between him winning the masters and not, but it's just a fantastic hole,
02:21a great tee shot, very, very challenging. And, and Smiley, I know you, you,
02:26it's got to fit your eye well. So I I'm putting this out here for a fairway hit.
