00:13Requiem and as crazy as some of those are when you know it we've got some of
00:18our own. Perhaps it's time for you to face the past. Grace. Before we continue

00:33latest videos. The Clone Wars. I'm Redfield. I'm glad we found you. There's been quite a
00:46lot of speculation over just who the hooded figure in the trailer could be
00:50with everything from Jake Muller to even Carlos Oliveira being thrown around but
00:55we have an even wilder prediction. There's every possibility this could
01:00potentially be a clone of longtime hero Chris Redfield. This calls back to the
01:06end of both Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil 8 where in 7 Chris looked
01:10decidedly different than normal and was working for an organization called Blue
01:15Umbrella. While at the end of RE8 Chris discovers that the BSAA has begun to use
01:20BOWs or bio-organic weapons as soldiers. Mutated creations that are far more
01:26capable than previous experiments that always led to horrific mutations. While
01:31this is the least likely outcome, how terrifying would it be to face down an
01:35army of Chris clones in Boulder Punching Prime.
01:39BSAA didn't send soldiers. This is a bioweapon.
01:45What the hell were they thinking?
01:48The Legend of Hunk.
01:50This is Hunk from Alpha Team.
01:53Man, I thought you were all wiped out. I've been trying to-

02:00Guess there's no keeping down the Grim Reaper, huh?
02:03Hunk has long been a fan favorite of the series due to his mysterious nature and lethal efficiency.
02:09And seeing as how this could be the final game tying up all the loose ends of the series,
02:13it would only make sense for Hunk to not only return, but also finally give us a look into
02:19his backstory and just who he is. We like to believe that he is the lone survivor of every
02:24mission he's sent on due to him being one of the few original and successful Umbrella BOW experiments.
02:31And after the supposed collapse of the Umbrella organization, Hunk then set out on his own in
02:36the world to lend his skills to the highest bidder. If this proved to be true, then whatever remnants of
02:41Umbrella could call him back to Raccoon City to prevent the last of their secrets from being uncovered.
02:49Why'd you come back?
02:52I wanted to meet the Grim Reaper.
02:54Wesker returns.
02:55I think you're a bit confused. I've always been with Umbrella. The stars were umbrellas. No, rather, my little piggies.
03:09Considering we're supposed to be tying up loose ends with Requiem,
03:13there's no way that we can't have the OG Betrayer return for one last go.
03:18Although he technically died at the end of RE5,
03:21there's been numerous times when Wesker supposedly died only to return more mutated than before,
03:27with many believing the man in the chair to be an older version of Albert Wesker.
03:31Another likely candidate to either join or oppose Wesker is the founder of Umbrella, Oswald Spencer himself,
03:38which could also send us back to the Spencer mansion or whatever remains of it.
03:43Given his ties to Miranda and the Mega Mycete, there's every possibility that Spencer could have been revived
03:49and has once again resumed his position as the head of the remnants of Umbrella.
03:53Not only would this be an interesting twist, but watching a rejuvenated Spencer dominating an old Wesker could be incredibly
04:01entertaining.
04:02Arrogant even until the end. Only one truly capable of being a god deserves that right.
04:12Creature Identity
04:23Featured heavily in the revealed gameplay, the aptly named Hag, by fans,
04:28relentlessly stalks Grace through the halls during her escape attempt from whatever facility she was being held in.
04:34While many initially believed this creature to somehow be an even more mutated version of Lisa Trevor,
04:39however, the devs have publicly stated this isn't the case.
04:42While there's every possibility they're just lying,
04:45there is another alternative that is much more relevant to Grace's story.
04:49In some of the gameplay we were shown, it's revealed that Grace's mother, Alyssa Ashcroft, had died years before
04:54and we even get glimpses of this event in some gameplay.
04:58But we all know how much no one in the RE universe likes to let a good corpse go to
05:03waste
05:03and this could be the result of years of experimentation on Alyssa Ashcroft
05:08and her endless pursuit of grace is what remains of her humanity chasing after her daughter.
05:23Flashbacks
05:23But honestly, all you need to know is that this place will eat you alive if you aren't careful.
05:28Yeah, well I was supposed to start last week and I got a call to stay away.
05:32I wish I'd come here sooner.
05:33There have been quite a few rumors that long-time protagonist Leon Kennedy
05:37will be the second playable character in Resident Evil Requiem.
05:40But, given the entries placed in the timeline,
05:43we could see a significantly older Leon returning to Raccoon City.
05:46However, for those hoping to play as Leon in his prime,
05:50Capcom could technically tell two very different, yet interconnected storylines
05:55with most of Leon's campaign being told through flashbacks.
05:58We could see Leon investigating Alyssa's murder
06:01and the revelations he uncovers could feed into the same mystery that Grace is investigating in the modern day.
06:07If the devs wanted to get especially ambitious,
06:10player choices made during Leon's campaign could affect Grace's in the present.
06:14Whether that be item placement or solving puzzles before Grace stumbles upon them during her campaign.
06:20Investigating all these strange deaths, huh?
06:22We need to keep our voices down.

06:34Leading up to Requiem's reveal,
06:37rumors were circulating that fan favorite Jill Valentine
06:39would be teaming up with Leon Kennedy in the next RE game.
06:43When it was revealed that Grace Ashcroft would instead be leading this new entry,
06:47fans were intrigued but also disappointed.
06:50Having been absent from the mainline series since RE5,
06:54Jill's return is one of the most vocal fan demands of the series.
06:57However, there is still a chance for Jill to return,
07:01especially with the significance of Raccoon City.
07:04Much like the kitchen demo for RE7, Capcom could bait and switch players with an opening chapter for Grace
07:10before switching to Jill and Leon returning to where the nightmare began in Raccoon City.
07:15Not to undermine Alyssa or Grace's importance in the narrative,
07:19but Jill deserves at least one more outing in a leading role.
07:23Give the people what they want, Capcom!
07:25I decided then and there,
07:27the ashes of Raccoon City would be Umbrella's ashes too.
07:31I would end them once and for all.
07:34The Antagonist
07:35There has been no shortage of speculation over the significance of the man in the chair
07:40as well as just who the mysterious figure could be.
07:43While we already touched on the possibility it could be Oswald Spencer himself,
07:47there is yet another credible possibility lurking in the shadows.
07:50Many fans believe this is Brandon Bailey,
07:53a long-time student of the co-founder of Umbrella, James Marcus,
07:57who mysteriously disappeared after the collapse of Umbrella.
08:00Only to resurface years later as the founder of The Connections,
08:04the organization Mio was working for in RE7,
08:07and eventually worked with Miranda and the Mega Mycete in RE Village.
08:11As a shadowy figure who has mostly been working and manipulating from behind the scenes,
08:15Requiem could be the opportunity he has been waiting for to make his grand reappearance.
08:20The Origins of Raccoon City
08:23Everyone's gone.
08:28You wanna get nuts? Let's get nuts!
08:30Given the significance of Raccoon City in the trailer,
08:33we believe that we will learn more about the city
08:35and the fact that after the events of RE2 and 3
08:38and the destruction of Raccoon City,
08:41Umbrella never truly went away and instead retreated underground.
08:45Specifically, underground Raccoon City.
08:48As the entire city was built and designed to hide an enormous underground lab
08:53and the destruction of Raccoon City was designed by Umbrella themselves
08:56with their contacts within the government.
08:58Making Raccoon City seem irradiated to prevent anyone from snooping around the events of the outbreak
09:03and allowing Umbrella to continue their experiments through numerous shell companies
09:08while their core team continued their research underground.
09:11Giving players a semi-open world Raccoon City to explore and revisit iconic locations
09:17while uncovering this mystery could blow the lore of the series wide open.
09:21It's finally over.

09:30Baby Daddy Drama
09:32You're not like other people, you know.
09:34You're quite... unique.
09:38A lot has been made about the importance of Alyssa Ashcroft,
09:42a character from what amounts to a side story in the grand theme of things,
09:46putting her daughter front and center in Requiem.
09:49While there has been a lot of speculation about Alyssa's importance in the series,
09:53what about Grace's father?
09:55Some speculate it could be Leon, Chris, or even somehow Wesker,
09:59but we think it's someone else entirely.
10:02We posit that Grace's father is Jake Muller
10:05and while interviewing him, they conceived Grace before Jake returned to exile.
10:09The significance of this is that being Wesker's son, Jake has a powerful bloodline
10:15and combined with the daylight vaccine Alyssa received at the end of outbreak
10:18would make Grace very valuable to Umbrella.
10:22It's also likely through Umbrella's influence
10:24that Grace was sent on the investigation in the first place,
10:28with the FBI purposely setting her up to further Umbrella's inquiries into her unique bloodline.
10:36There's no escaping your destiny.
10:39The grand finale.
10:40Mission accomplished, right?
10:44Mission accomplished.
10:46According to some reports, Requiem is seen as the final entry
10:50for the existing Resident Evil timeline,
10:52bringing everything full circle by returning the series to Raccoon City.
10:56The title Requiem was even chosen as an ode to those who've come before,
11:01likely referring to the fact that it will be the final chapter for many of the series' main characters.
11:06Likewise, it's entirely possible not everyone will make it out alive.
11:11We already know that Chris is alive during the events of the RE Village DLC Shadows of Rose,
11:16which canonically takes place years after Requiem.
11:19But that leaves everyone else as fair game.
11:23Beloved characters such as Jill, Leon, Claire, and even Rebecca
11:26will likely either retire by the end of the game,
11:29or have sacrificed themselves in some way to prevent the re-emergence of some form of the original T-Virus.
11:35If Leon doesn't get to retire into seclusion with Ada, we riot.
11:44I can't believe I actually miss her.
