00:00Let me take you through the big election news coming in.
00:03It is after all the election season in at least four very important states vis-a-vis national politics.
00:08Let me first take you to Tamil Nadu.
00:10Vijay launching a scathing attack on Stalin during the Perambur rally.
00:14Vijay asks, in the evil forces government, do you have protection?
00:19He's calling the Stalin government as evil forces.
00:22Did you feel safe? Were you happy?
00:25Asked the actor and Neta.
00:27Vijay also says that in the last five years, did they run the government or something else?
00:32Chief Minister MK Stalin does not have any care for the people.
00:36He's not bothered about public issues.
00:38And we can even live without food, water.
00:41But can you live without basic protection and safety?
00:45Very interesting.
00:45So this appears to be the campaign, the campaign proposal, the campaign initiative against Stalin government and how.
00:52He's basically alleging that you may not even have water or food.
00:56But if there is safety and protection, you may still survive.
01:00But that's missing in Tamil Nadu under Stalin government.
01:03There is no basic protection.
01:05There is no safety for people.
01:07The Stalin government does not care about the public, says Vijay.
01:11Apoorva is joining me for the latest on this.
01:13And Apoorva, in fact, has been speaking to a lot of senior leaders on the ground.
01:18Apoorva, do you think this is the strategy of Vijay?
01:22Vijay, the safety, protection, references that he has made.
01:30Well, in fact, Pooja, if you do see, there's only one line that Vijay goes on and says time and
01:37time again,
01:37which is that there is an absolute lack of safety for women and children.
01:42With the increasing crimes in Tamil Nadu that we've seen recently, Vijay says that Tamil Nadu has become once,
01:48which was a safe haven for women and now has become absolutely, you know, dangerous for, you know, women and
01:54children to live in.
01:55And that's what he is charging at Tamil Nadu chief minister, M.K. Stalin.
01:59In fact, Vijay, today at the second rally that he had taken, fourth today at Kolathur as well,
02:06he has gone on and reiterated the same, saying that the last five years that the DMK was in power
02:11here in Tamil Nadu,
02:12did they even run the government in an able manner?
02:16Why is it that there have been so many crimes that have risen?
02:19One can live without even food and water, but even the basic necessity such as safety is lacking in Tamil
02:26Nadu,
02:27is what, you know, TVK chief Vijay slams the DMK government.
02:31In fact, he states that, you know, in his election manifesto that was released yesterday,
02:36he stated that he will make sure that the Tamil Nadu, should the TVK come to power,
02:44will be a drug-free, menace-free, corruption-free and a complete safe haven for the people and the women
02:52and children of Tamil Nadu.
02:53Those were the important key notes that Vijay is saying.
02:56Time and time again, he has been reiterating that there is absolutely a lack of safety for women and children
03:02in Tamil Nadu.
03:03It was a big day.
03:04So, let's talk a bit about that too.
03:06Two big leaders filing nomination.
03:08What's the general sense that you get from the ground?
03:10Are people enthusiastic about the elections upcoming, especially with new players who have come in?
03:16What are you picking up from on the ground there in Tamil Nadu?
03:23Well, in fact, you know, it is a jam-packed schedule for Tamil Nadu today as we see several leaders
03:29from Tamil Nadu who are filing the nominations.
03:31This is the day one of nominations starting to be filed with all the parties there who have released their
03:38election manifesto and their candidates as well.
03:40We are seeing today all of them, leaders and cadres from all across, very enthusiastic as parties are going ahead
03:47and leaders filing their nominations.
03:49In fact, today, just in the morning, we saw DMK Chief MK Stalin who filed his nomination from Kolathur, the
03:55constituency, a bastion of the DMK of sorts that you can call it as time and time again.
04:00It's been MK Stalin, the DMK that has been winning from Kolathur constituency.
04:04On the other side, just a couple of blocks away, you saw TVK's Chief Vijay there who has filed for
04:10his nominations from, you know, Perambur constituency.
04:13Vijay will be standing not only from one constituency, which is Perambur, but he's also likely to constitute from, you
04:20know, stand from Tirchi as well.
04:21So, you know, you're seeing one at Chennai Central as expected by sources and one in the Delta Belt which
04:28is in Tirchi as well.
04:29So, Vijay essentially targeting what TVK believes is a strong hand and an iron fist for the DMK beat at
04:37Chennai Central, right adjacent to Chief Minister MK Stalin's constituency.
04:40And at the Delta Belt at Tirchi, which will essentially cut the votes of both DMK and AIA DMK.
04:47That's the kind of strategy that the TVK is going ahead and playing.
04:50Not only that, we're also seeing several other leaders from across parties.
04:54Adhavarjuna, who is also a close aide of TVK Chief Vijay there, he had filed his nomination from, you know,
05:01Viliwakam.
05:02He will be contesting again, going head to head against DMK's, you know, senior leader there, Mr. Mohan.
05:09And not only that, several other leaders have also, you know, NTK Chief Seeman has filed for nomination today.
05:16All these top leaders from Tamil Nadu, it's a big day in Tamil Nadu as leaders and enthusiastic cadders as
05:22well are going ahead, cheering them on as nominations are officially started off.
05:26Lovely. Eventually, of course, the public decides and it will be very important, remember, for a state where the BJP
05:32has tried to make inroads, hasn't been successful.
05:34There is this Dravidian politics that still holds sway.
05:37So, I urge the audience to stay tuned to India today and looking forward to your reports and all our
05:42colleagues that are on the ground from Tamil Nadu, Keralam, Sam, Bengal.
05:47These are, remember, very crucial elections, specifically vis-a-vis how it impacts national politics.
05:52Apoorva, thank you very much for now.
