07:05I started out as a tester.
07:07Testing is the backbone of software development.
07:11Without testers, we wouldn't make quality games.
07:14So I'm looking to see who's going to make the best tester.
07:16Now that I know there's judges involved,
07:18and I think the fact that two of them are straight up
07:20from PlayStation,
07:21I know they're going to be pretty hardcore.
07:23I need to do really well.
07:24Alright, now as you all know,
07:26the primary job of a game tester
07:28is to identify bugs,
07:30which are errors or imperfections in the game.
07:33So today, we're going to test you on a skill
07:35that every game tester must possess.
07:38A critical eye.
07:40So you're going to be shown a series of matching images.
07:43Now they may look identical at first,
07:46but you have to look closely,
07:47because there are differences within.
07:49Even though there wasn't a gaming system,
07:52I can see how that would be something
07:54that they would want to test us on to be in QA,
07:56because you do have to pay close attention to detail.
07:59If you cannot tell the difference between two pictures,
08:01how are you going to catch things inside of a game?
08:04Now for each set of matching images,
08:06you will identify and call out three differences.
08:09Now if you struggle,
08:10you can pass and move on to the next set of images,
08:13but you only have 90 seconds
08:15to earn as many points as possible.
08:18And first up is Cyrus.

08:34but everyone just abandoned me.

08:50It takes me a second to realize what I'm doing at first.

10:11and I feel like those are the games that I excel at,
10:13but to have three people focused on you,
10:15it's just painful.

10:20You can feel like the intensity in the atmosphere.
10:24My heart was pumping.

10:27and then on the left side.
10:28I set up a game plan.
10:29This one's a tough one.

11:10I don't know what they're wanting me to do.
11:16I would say 25 seconds have just went by right now.

11:24And in my head, I'm telling myself, I need to get it together.

11:39I'm mad that I had a slow start, but I'm feeling pretty confident that I had a strong finish.

11:47Okay, first thing I see is there's a five on that screen and there's a two on that one.
11:52Second thing is there's a star on that screen and there's no star where the L is.
11:56Third one is I'm just, like, darting back and forth between the screens, like, just going line after line after
12:01line like a printer or a copy machine.

12:05I realize, like, oh, my God, 90 seconds.
12:07I got to either pass it or move on.
12:09It's like I want to get everything right before I move on.

12:16I know I could have done a lot better.

14:50In today's challenge, we tested your attention to detail.
14:53Some of you proved you could find a needle in a haystack.
14:56Well, some of you simply cracked under pressure.

15:35I was really hungry, though.

15:53The judges are super hard on me about me joking around during my challenge.
15:57There's a time for jokes, but there's a time to be serious and buckle down and show the panel,

16:39To be honest, it's a little bit humbling.

16:44And I did like how you actually called out the numbers.
16:46Detail is paramount in being a tester and far into being able to communicate effectively bugs and issues.

17:56Really what kept your score low, more than anything, was that kind of, that frozen aspect.

18:02I would, I definitely let nerves get the best of me tonight, which is just very upsetting.

18:14I have definitely learned from the challenge tonight and will take my nerves and put them on the back burner
