00:00When it comes to the red carpet, celebrities need to look their best from head to toe.
00:05But the visionary behind their trendsetting looks, the one who finds the clothes, assembles
00:09the look, and creates a red carpet diva is the stylus, aka Glam God.
00:17The right look can land a celebrity on best dressed lists around the world.
00:21But the wrong look can be disastrous.
00:24Stylists are not ordinary people.
00:26They share a unique vision that blends detail, color, and composition to turn a celebrity
00:31into a work of art.
00:36In a competition inspired by the pages of Us Weekly, 12 talented stylists have come to
00:42Los Angeles to find out if they have what it takes to style the stars.
00:46I'm a pioneer.
00:47I'm a trendsetter, not a trend follower.
00:49Get to styling this way.
00:50They'll compete in a series of hot trend challenges designed to test their personal style.
00:54I love fashion because it is fun.
00:57That's what fashion is.
00:58And their ability to create a winning look from top to bottom.
01:02I could dress anyone.
01:03It's beautiful.
01:04It looks like a piece of art.
01:07I'm Vivica A. Fox, and I know a thing or two about the red carpet.
01:12Gosh, you know Vivica is a slave for fashion.
01:15Welcome to Hollywood, babies.
01:17Only one of you can win the coveted Glam God title.
01:21An opportunity to be represented by a major styling agency.
01:25You will style a celebrity for Us Weekly.
01:28And on top of all of that, a $100,000 grand prize!
01:33Y'all will get paid!
01:35$100,000 is a big number.
01:37I will be joined by Melanie Bromley, West Coast Bureau Chief of Us Weekly.
01:41You're going to have to work really hard to impress me.
01:43And celebrity stylist Philip Block.
01:46This is about fashion and making your clients look good.
01:49In deciding who's hot.
01:51You're such a styling force to be reckoned with.
01:53And who's not.
01:54You have dressed a hooker.
01:57They all have a passion for fashion.
02:00No!
02:00What is this?
02:02Calm down.
02:02You picked out the sunglasses, you picked out the earrings, you picked out everything, dog.
02:05You deserve to go home.
02:06But who has what it takes to be the next great celebrity stylist?
02:10It's so stressful because you know if you fail, you're out.
02:13Who has what it takes to be a Glam God?
02:40Hi, my name's Preston Conrad and I'm from New York.
03:01I would describe my personal style as preppy and classic pieces, but with a young fun twist.
03:06Oh, my God.
03:10Oh, my God.
03:11The house is really sweet.
03:12It's a loft.
03:13It feels downtown, and you walk in,
03:16and you immediately see this blue fly closet
03:18filled with every designer jean and dress
03:21and accessory that you could imagine.
03:24It's kind of insane.
03:26This is insane.
03:27Oh, my God.
03:29Is this not mental?
03:30Hi. Preston. Hi.
03:32Nice to meet you.
03:33The type of stylist I am
03:35is I bring a lot of enthusiasm to the table.
03:37I like to do very classic American looks,
03:40but I really like to work with accessories
03:42in order to make an outfit pop.
03:44This is ill.
03:46Yo, yo!
03:47What's good?

04:04You know, it's like an art.
04:05I love it.
04:06Yo, yo!
04:07What up, man?
04:07I'm already eating in the kitchen.

04:11Christopher Manor.
04:12I became a stylist by fate.
04:13My parents met in beauty school.
04:15I grew up in a beauty salon.
04:16I'm really inspired by things that are classic.
04:19You're old school, glamorous women.
04:21Just old school, timeless beauty.
04:23Yo, God is so good.
04:25This is crazy.
04:26It don't get better than this.
04:27But there's someone here, you guys.
04:28Oh!
04:29What's up, baby?
04:30Adashio.

04:35I love bold colors.
04:37I love sexiness.
04:39I want to make my client all of those.
04:42So, you know, I have little tricks up my sleeve that I plan to bring to the competition.
04:46So nobody gets their own room.
04:48Oh, my God.
04:49This is so crazy.
04:50It seems like Miss Tiger Lily is very, what we call in Hawaii, Haimaka Maka.
04:56That means my does not stink at all.
05:02What's going on here?
05:03So many boys.
05:04Nice to meet you.
05:05Hello.
05:06Janelle.
05:07Oh, nice to meet you.
05:08Oh, hi.

05:10Matt.
05:11Nice to meet you.
05:12Matt Levine.
05:12I own a clothing line called Stila.
05:14My brand is like nightlife kind of, you know, where you can go out, you can be comfortable.
05:18Who better to represent myself and my brand than me?
05:21So what do you do?
05:22I have a clothing line.
05:23Okay.
05:24That's what's up.
05:25Hi.
05:25What's up, baby?
05:26It's Adashio.
05:27Nice to meet you.
05:27And Adashio.
05:28I'm Coxie.
05:29Coxie.
05:30Whoa.

05:33I'm a makeup artist.
05:34I do a little bit of hair.
05:35So you do it all.
05:36And I do it all.
05:36I try to be a triple threat.
05:37I'm Coxie.
05:38I have a line of home and beauty products that I'm trying to establish.
05:43I want to be a younger, edgier Martha Stewart.
05:48Hello.
05:49Hi, how are you?
05:51What's your name?
05:51Hendry.
05:52Hi, hello, lady.
05:52Hi.
05:54I'm kind of on the top.
05:56I like that when you go out, people have to say, wow.
06:00So for me, if I don't have fashion in my life, I will die.
06:03Coxie.
06:04Coxie.
06:05What's your name again?
06:06Joaquin.
06:07Think of Joaquin.
06:08Just Joaquin, you know?
06:09Joaquin.
06:10Like Joaquin.
06:10Okay, got it.
06:11Style is something very personal.
06:14It's a lifestyle.
06:15Don't let the clothes wear you.
06:17Wear the clothes.
06:19Hello.
06:21Have some champagne.
06:22We haven't started yet.
06:23I would love to.
06:24I'm Aaron.
06:24How are you?
06:24Nice to meet you.
06:25I'm Bo.
06:26How are you?
06:26Nice to meet you, Bo.
06:27I think being innovative is being creative and being someone that takes chances.
06:32And my thing is that I'll mess up and love it.
06:35You know?
06:36So I just go with my flaws.
06:37We got to know.
06:38We got to know.
06:38We got to know.
06:39Picture perfect first impressions.
06:42Vivica soon to make her grand action.
06:46I was like, oh my God, Vivica A. Fox.
06:49I was about to get to meet a celebrity.
06:52And a celebrity in fashion.
06:53Who gets this opportunity as a stylist?
06:56I mean, it's literally overwhelming and I just cannot wait.
07:05Hola.
07:06Hola, my darling stylist.
07:08I'm Vivica A. Fox.
07:17Vivica is amazing.
07:18She has so much style and she has a presence, you know?
07:22And when she walks into a room, everybody knows.
07:25Stylists, I am so excited to begin this amazing and fantastic journey with you.
07:31Welcome to Hollywood, babies.
07:33All right, so I want you all to look around at each other.
07:36Look around because at the end of this competition, only one of you can win the coveted Glam God title.
07:43An opportunity to be represented by a major styling agency.
07:47And on top of all of that, a $100,000 grand prize!
07:53Y'all gonna get paid!
07:54Y'all gonna get paid!
07:55Y'all gonna get paid!
07:55Y'all gonna get paid, okay?
07:57$100,000 is a big number.
07:59So I really, really need to win.
08:01To help me pick the Glam God winner,
08:03I've got to introduce you to my Glam panel.
08:06First up, Mel Bromley.
08:08Come on in, Mel!
08:09Hi!
08:13Mel is the expert on everything celebrity, okay?
08:17She has the final say on who's hot and who's not.
08:22Hello, stylists.
08:23I can't wait to see you all in action.
08:25But I have to warn you, my job is to critique the world's biggest celebrities and their sense of style.
08:31So if you're going to impress me, you're going to have to work extremely hard.
08:36Working for Us Magazine, she knows what she's talking about.
08:39She knows the trends.
08:40She's flying.
08:41She's, I mean, she's amazing.
08:42Now next up, he is who all of you are aspiring to be.
08:47Say hello to my man, Philip Block!
08:55Philip Block is an inspiration.
08:57Philip Block is a master of ceremonies.
09:00Philip Block is probably the most well-known stylist.
09:04Philip has styled mega stars from Jennifer Lopez to Halle Berry and Nicole Kidman.
09:09He has that expert eye that can style anyone from leading men to red carpet divas.
09:17You know, I've worked with her a few times.
09:19I will pose!
09:20I will pose!
09:22Okay?
09:22Now each week, you will all compete in hot trend challenges.
09:27You will produce a star look that the glam panel will then critique.
09:32Each week, we will say goodbye to one of you who is not worthy enough to be called a glam
09:37god.
09:38With that said, two of you will be going home tonight.
09:42When Vivica says two people are going home tonight, my heart drops completely down to my knees, my toes.
09:50It's very stressful.
09:55Coming up...
09:56Today's challenge will be a team challenge.
09:58If you want to win this, you pick me.
10:00It's complete fat kid in gym class waiting to be picked.
10:03You have everybody?
10:04No, I don't have anybody.
10:05And later...
10:06I just chose two.
10:07You have her and him.
10:09Dachio committed himself to two teams.
10:11Since you were so back and forth, I don't want to work with that.
10:14This is war.
10:22Today's hot trend challenge will be a team challenge.
10:26You'll be working in four teams of three.
10:28Now, four lead stylists have been chosen randomly.
10:32And they are...
10:35Tiger Lily.
10:36Chris.
10:38Joaquin.
10:39And fourth, Jess.
10:42So we're going to give you guys about an hour.
10:44I need for you to choose two other stylists to join your team.
10:48And then we will meet you when we return in the workroom.
10:52Okay?
10:53Enjoy yourself.
10:56So after the lead stylists now have been chosen, we have to go out and choose teams to work with.
11:03If you're looking for somebody, I would love to take your direction.
11:07Yeah.
11:07And, you know, modify or give my input and help out in any way I can.
11:11Yeah.
11:12I enjoy helping people develop their confidence.
11:17If you have one thing, confidence, you know, should be it.
11:20I'm very bold.
11:21So I need somebody to turn me down and compliment me.
11:24You know what I mean?
11:25Yeah.
11:25Thanks, sweetie.
11:26It'll be okay.
11:27It'll be fine.
11:28It's going to be great.
11:30I'm very unclear with the crap that was chosen.
11:34It's hard to imagine that they do this for a living because they just look so sloppy.
11:39So sloppy.
11:40You have everybody?
11:40No, I don't have anybody.
11:41I'm a really good stylist.
11:43I swear to you.
11:44Super chic.
11:45Super classic.
11:45I haven't felt this way since I was in, like, seventh grade because it's complete fat kid
11:50in dodgeball in seventh grade gym class just waiting to be picked for the teams.
11:54What do you say?
11:55Your style is more like street style?
11:57No, I mean, it's diverse.
11:59Like, you'll see me tomorrow and I'll be wearing something completely different.
12:01Coxy's already down.
12:02This is the thing, and I'm going to be flat out honest with you from the beginning.
12:05I'm kind of a control freak.
12:07If you want to win this, you'll pick me.
12:09But if not, like, I understand.
12:10If you're able to keep it under control for one second.
12:13Wow, he's under control.
12:15And now she was completely over the top.
12:17If you can't control that kid, he's going to make a fool of me, a fool of my team, and
12:21I don't need that.
12:22I don't care who y'all are.
12:23Who else are you thinking?
12:24Bo.
12:25Bo's on the team already.
12:26Okay.
12:29One for the money, two for the show, three for the paper, now let's go.
12:33What's up?
12:34I don't know what that means, but let's win.
12:35One, two, wait, let's win.
12:37Let's win.
12:37So my and Jess' team, right?
12:38But my goal was to get on everybody's team and then pick and choose who I really think would be
12:43the
12:43best.
12:43I'm going to choose you.
12:44No, we can't choose each other.
12:46We can choose each other.
12:47I'm not a leader.
12:48Are you not?
12:49No.
12:50But I think that you and you can do some magic.
12:52Yeah, I like that flash.
12:53So let's do it.
12:54I like that flash.
12:54Let's do it.
12:55We saw him on her team.
12:56Mission accomplished.
12:57Everybody brought me on the team.
12:59Whose team has two people?
13:01You guys, our buddy Aaron has to be on a team.
13:03Who has only one team member?
13:06Jess, I think he's on your team.
13:07What?
13:08Who's on your team?
13:09Bo and Dash.
13:10No, he's on his team.
13:12I don't know.
13:13I didn't know he...
13:14So you have her and him.
13:16I thought I could just choose and I just chose two.
13:18You are a .
13:20Aaron, you're with me.
13:20Oh my God.
13:21Oh, you're just going to do me like that?
13:23And Dashiel committed himself to two teams.
13:25So it kind of got a little ugly for a second.
13:28He was on my team, but now he's on Taika Lily.
13:30Now you're just going to drop me like that for him?
13:32You know what?
13:33I did want you, but since you were so quick to be so back and forth on this thing, I
13:39don't
13:39want to work with that.
13:40I'm not working with that.
13:41I'm working with loyalty and I'm working with teamwork.
13:43Okay.
13:43You want to play me?
13:44I'll play you right back.
13:45This is one.
13:45I'm on Taika Lily's team.
13:47Big mistake, Shorty.
13:48Big.
13:49My.
13:50Steak.
13:53Coming up.
13:54Your task is to style a winning look that will be photographed on the red carpet.
13:58You have two hours in which to pull the clothes and accessories that you need.
14:02Let's go.
14:02Over there.
14:03And later.
14:04We need color.
14:05This isn't the week for color.
14:06Chris didn't like what I said to him.
14:08Really big earrings.
14:09I think a small earring will be better.
14:10I want this.
14:11I'm going to do this.
14:12It is really frustrating.
14:21You know what?
14:21I did want you, but since you were so quick to be so back and forth on this thing,
14:27I don't want to work with that.
14:28I'm not working with that.
14:29I'm working with loyalty and I'm working with teamwork.
14:31Okay.
14:31You want to play me?
14:32I'll play you right back.
14:33I'm on Taika Lily's team.
14:35I chose Natasha, but he skipped town and went to another team.
14:38So my final team is Aaron and Bo.
14:41Shake it off.
14:42Yeah, it's cool.
14:43It's cool.
14:44Dasha, I'm first, babe.
14:45Oh, yeah?
14:45Yeah.
14:46She's the captain.
14:47Tiger Lily is going to be a great team captain.
14:49Janelle is also on my team, which I'm feeling pretty confident too.
14:52She's going down.
14:54Jonathan.
14:57So have you all chosen your team?
14:59Yes, we have.
14:59Yes.
15:00I picked Matt and Preston to be on my team because I truly believed that they were going to be
15:05an extra asset to what I already know.
15:09I picked Coxie and Andrew out as teammates.
15:12I think we may work well together.
15:13For the first hot trend challenge, we dare to ask the question, celebrities fear the most.
15:20Who wore it best?
15:21You've all seen it in the glossy pages of celebrity magazines like Us Weekly, but the true question
15:27is who styled it best?
15:29And tonight, we're going to be doing it for real.
15:32We've got some examples for you.
15:34We've got Eva Mendes and Jessica Alba wearing the same dress.
15:38Eva Mendes?
15:41Hot!
15:42Jessica Alba, not so much.
15:44Many times at an event, someone shows up in one dress and someone else shows up in the
15:47exact same dress.
15:48So Philip is having us kind of understand why this is such a severe crime in the industry
15:53to not make the dress work really well because someone else could make it work better.
15:56So, in this styling scenario, a top designer has promised you a dress from his brand new
16:02collection.
16:03The catch is, he has also promised the same dress to other stylists and their clients.
16:08They're all going to the same event, on the same night, wearing the same dress.
16:13Your task is to style a winning look that will be photographed on the red carpet going to
16:17the event.
16:18And you want your client to look amazing.
16:20Remember, you need to be able to take the style of the celebrity to the whole other level.
16:25You'll be using the Blue Fly Closet for your Hot Trend Challenges.
16:29And inside that closet, you'll find every piece to perfect your look.
16:33As with each Hot Trend Challenge, Charles Worthington London Hair Professionals and Stila
16:38Cosmetic Experts are going to be on hand to help you.
16:41Philip tells us that there will be makeup and hair for our disposal, and that is super exciting
16:46because we get to collaborate with the team to really create a signature look.
16:50We've called on LA Models to have our celebrity star stand-ins.
16:54Carrie will be with Chris's team.
16:56Jessica with Jess.
16:58Courtney with Joaquin.
17:00And Jasmine, you'll be with Tiger Lily.
17:03Okay guys, you have two hours in which to brainstorm, pull the clothes and accessories that you need,
17:09and style your star stand-in.
17:11Let's go.
17:12Hi honey.
17:14Does anybody by any chance sew?
17:17Let's talk to her first.
17:18Hold on a second.
17:19Sorry.
17:19The challenge is who wore it best, and you need to be bold.
17:23If everybody has a uniform dress, I plan on styling something very different.
17:27We want to win.
17:28Right.
17:29I think sleek.
17:30We're going for a certain look.
17:32It's 20s.
17:33We're thinking, you know, Coco Chanel.
17:35Something classic, but young, you know?
17:37So I pulled some pearls, long necklace.
17:41I just want to put something over it.
17:44I'm opening the other day.
17:45Oh, this is amazing.
17:45This was a great idea.
17:47Tiger Lily has this bright idea of adding a skirt on top of the dress to give it some more
17:53layered effect.
17:54Your waist needs work.
17:55Let's go.
17:56This and this is cool together.
17:58Let's put this together.
17:58Let's get this a little slushy.
18:00Yeah, I want body here and tight here, right?
18:03Body.
18:03Yeah.
18:04I kind of want to create the look that was fresh, soft curl, like very natural.
18:11I was kind of given the idea of like a central peg kiss.
18:14You just came back from a nice, you know, vacation.
18:18What are you thinking about, is there anything you want to do to the dress to change it, alter
18:24it, tweak it?
18:25A lot of times, less is more.
18:26That's my motto.
18:27I think that it's really important to not overdo it when you're styling.
18:30The mark of a good stylist is knowing that less is more.
18:33So I think that we're going to keep it pretty simple.
18:35What we can do with the top part of the dress to make it more sexy?
18:39I saw the black dress and I said, okay, it's two way simple.
18:43We need to make alterations.
18:45Like we need to work on it.
18:47If we want to really stand out from everybody else.
18:50I think this isn't the look to do too much with.
18:53We don't.
18:54This is the first challenge.
18:55Right.
18:56This is what we've got.
18:57But we need color.
18:58I don't think there's anything wrong with the little black dress.
19:00I mean, just not this challenge.
19:01This isn't the week for color.
19:03Chris didn't like what I said to him, but we're not colors to make it like pop.
19:08Okay.
19:08It's working.
19:09I'll put all the bracelets.
19:11Okay.
19:12Let's try it.
19:13Let's do it.
19:14What the hell is all this?
19:16My beautiful teammates.
19:20Like really big earrings.
19:22I don't know.
19:23Big earrings.
19:24Put them on.
19:24Try them on her.
19:26No, that's too much for me.
19:28Yeah.
19:28I think a small earring would be better.
19:30Just simpler.
19:30Every time I was suggesting something, Chris was like, no, I want this and I'm gonna do
19:36this.
19:36It is really frustrating.
19:38Trust me, guys.
19:38I promise you I would not steer you in the wrong direction.
19:40No, I'm with you.
19:41I totally trust you.
19:42But I feel like with my degree in psychology, it's my job to talk you through this.
19:46And I love that.
19:47That's why I wanted you here.
19:48That you feel like you completely have all of your bases covered.
19:51That you're not looking for yes men at all.
19:53I have a degree in psychology and social behavior.
19:55And I feel like I could use some of my groundedness to keep them grounded, to keep them focused.
20:00And I felt that was something I could support with.
20:03Okay.
20:03What do you think of this?
20:05We cut off the bottom, use it as a shirt, belt it, put on some skinny jeans and some boots
20:10and work it like that.
20:11We're allowed to use.
20:12We're allowed to do whatever we want with it.
20:13So we really wanted to create some type of like Kate Moss, London Beat, punk rock inspired
20:19outfit.
20:20What if we punch it in or something because we...
20:23I just want to be perfectly clear with you.
20:25Pay attention.
20:26You gotta keep it the f***ing simple.
20:27With the belting, I wonder if it's still...
20:30It's too much.
20:31It's very simple.
20:33Jess's style is very different than mine.
20:36I mean, I brought options, but it wasn't in line with her vision.
20:41So what do you think about this?
20:42I think it doesn't go together.
20:44No, it doesn't.
20:44It doesn't.
20:45Do you want to tell him to go back there and just pull her hair in a straight pony back?
20:48What about...
20:49Or the bob that you're saying?
20:51What about the sort of your up tease?
20:54No, just tease the...
20:54I need a severe outfit.
20:56I'm telling you, think simple.
20:57I just would like to have the opportunity to actually show what I can do.
21:02Oh, that's cute.
21:03That's what we want.
21:04Let's go to hair.
21:05Normally, for a red carpet event, it takes two hours just for the hair.
21:08Not let alone the makeup, the styling, the accessories, the wardrobe, the pinning, the alterations.
21:13So this was a race against time.
21:16This is what we do.
21:17Strong lips.
21:17Okay.
21:18Strong lips.
21:18Bare eye.
21:20Exactly.
21:21She's gorgeous, so...
21:22Yeah.
21:24This is gonna just...
21:25Yeah, I don't...
21:26The thing is, I'm not quite exactly how sure we're gonna do it.
21:28If you put this in, it'll naturally go up?
21:29It might be a little spaceship.
21:31I'm afraid they're gonna make jokes about it.
21:33I like it.
21:34I think it looks great.
21:34Okay.
21:35Our model has to look like a 22-year-old.
21:38I had a little idea to pop the collar, throw the collar up, which I think, you know,
21:42the judges will like.
21:43Perfect.
21:43Amazing.
21:44Awesome.
21:45Here we go.
21:47Holy macaroni.
21:48Good night.
21:49This is either gonna be really good or really bad.
21:52Really bad.
21:53Oh, my God.
21:55I'm so stressed out.
21:56When Jess cut the dress, I was concerned.
21:59I need to...
21:59Oh, it's a Vera Wang dress we just cut up.
22:01That's fantastic.
22:02I would have never in a million years had the balls to cut this dress.
22:06I just wouldn't have thought of it.
22:10Coming up.
22:11We don't want to have any time to question what we just cut up.
22:15I'm all about standing out, but don't be tacky.
22:17Didn't they all give you a dress?
22:18We've done this with our dress.
22:21And later...
22:22As you all know, two of you will be eliminated tonight.
22:26How come that took two hours?
22:28There's nothing to criticize me.
22:29Confidence is good cocky, isn't it?
22:30I think it's bland.
22:31Talk to them.
22:32Oh, uh, excuse me?
22:34Sorry.
22:34I just wanna...
22:36Excuse me?
22:37Slow your roll, baby girl.
22:42This is either gonna be really good or really bad.
22:46The dress was probably in the $300 to $700 range.
22:52And with a 90-cent pair of scissors, I went to town.
22:56We gotta say this own her, first of all.
22:58Should we fray it?
22:59Like...
22:59This is a little black dress that you're making into a shirt.
23:03I'm all about standing out, don't get me wrong.
23:05But don't be tacky.
23:07Tacky, tacky.
23:08I hate tacky.
23:09Tackiness is a crime.
23:10Let me see what's going on over at this table.
23:14Uh-huh.
23:15We've just decided to...
23:16Oh, my.
23:17Oh, my.
23:18Phillip is the epitome of what we're trying to achieve.
23:21So, this is intimidating to me.
23:24Didn't they all give you a dress?
23:25Yep.
23:26We've done this with our dress.
23:28And we're gonna put it on a skinny jean.
23:30We've belted it.
23:32Very punk rock glam Kate Moss look.
23:36Ah, Kate Moss is the inspiration.
23:38Yeah.
23:38What's happening?
23:39I am bugging out because we are very aware that ours is so different and might be in trouble.
23:46Thank you very much.
23:46And here would be the team captain.
23:48That's me.
23:49There you go.
23:50Team awesome.
23:54Who's in charge of what here?
23:56Well, I'm the team leader.
23:57They're definitely giving me input, and so we're running things back and forth around each other.
24:01I think we've had really good communication.
24:03Yeah.
24:03I think because I'm a little bit older than my teammates, I've been doing like the psychology thing.
24:08Psychology, huh?
24:09Yeah.
24:10A little bit.
24:10I was asking a lot of the important questions so that we dotted our I's and we crossed our T's
24:15and so that Chris, as the team leader, has no regrets.
24:19Joaquin, how's everything going over here?
24:21How are you?
24:22Joaquin, what would you kind of sum up the look as?
24:24Um, central pages, some kiss, very natural, like just long, uh, wan hair.
24:32Kind of like you.
24:33Oh.
24:34You've got 20 minutes.
24:36Cause it looks like we're wrapping up and we need to dress her before we take her back for our
24:40last look.
24:40So we really wanted to incorporate what the model was comfortable with in her hair and her makeup.
24:46She liked a nice spring face.
24:49She liked, you know, peachies, purples, sparklies.
24:52But the time is running out and I don't know how it's really going to end up looking in the
24:55end.
24:56Do you think that the necklace, isn't it too casual?
25:00I think it's kind of thing.
25:01I think it reminds me of classic Tiffany's.
25:03Tiffany's little black dress.
25:04It's also pretty.
25:05Okay.
25:06Chris, I think he, he talked too much about like leadership.
25:09So I said to myself, at this point, it's a waste of time.
25:13It's not going to take any of my biases.
25:16So just shut up and play the team part.
25:20Just this award.
25:20Hold this one.
25:21It's, it's not pen tied enough.
25:23That's beautiful.
25:25That is a wrap, folks.
25:26That's a good, nice teamwork.
25:28Okay.
25:29I need everybody in their original spots.
25:32Okay, guys.
25:33We'll be seeing you at the red carpet elimination.
25:37And remember, two of you are going to be going home.
25:43Models, we'd love you to walk over to the step and repeat and start your photo shoot process.
25:53I love my look and I totally stand by it.
25:58I see something that's young and fresh, but still very classic style.
26:03Just very fit, very feminine, very flirty, but not over the top.
26:07Once I sent the model to the red carpet, I feel confident because she looked amazing and the dress fit
26:13her really well.
26:15I know we got this in the bag.
26:17First of all, we had the prettiest model.
26:19We had the best classic look and she just looked amazing.
26:23Who wore it best?
26:25Who wore what best?
26:26I have no competition.
26:27They're all wearing dresses and I'm in a girl.
26:29I have a girl in a shirt.
26:30I feel, like, frustrated.
26:33It's not me.
26:34You can't hear.
26:35If you get more stressed out, then it's not going to help.
26:37It's not going to help.
26:38If I'm afraid, then I'm going to end up paying for something.
26:40No.
26:40He didn't do it.
26:41He didn't take out of us.
26:42He was doing whatever he wanted.
26:44Right now, I'm feeling like, say, to Chris, dude, you don't have style to be here.
26:51You are so simple that it's no ferocious at all.
26:55Go home.
26:55Pack.
27:03We're just about to go to elimination and I'm feeling really confident.
27:06I know my team is going to win.
27:08Yeah, I really can't wait to send two people home and get them out of my house.
27:12We are very aware that everyone has these very chic little black dresses and theirs ours.
27:18So, I'm a little nervous about going into this.
27:21And really frustrated.
27:23A lot of things go into my head right now.
27:26It's like, I don't want to get eliminated.
27:29Hello, stylists.
27:30Hello.
27:31Welcome to your first red carpet elimination.
27:34Joining us is my glam panel.
27:36Celebrity stylist Philip Block and Melanie Bromley, West Coast Bureau Chief of Us Weekly.
27:41As you all know, the hot trend challenge this week was who styled it best.
27:46Now, this challenge was all about the details.
27:49We wanted to test your ability to make smart styling choices in helping your clients stand out on the red
27:55carpet.
27:56Only one of your star stand-ins wore it best.
27:59Okay.
28:00Let's get started.
28:02Joaquin, tell us about your vision and your presentation.
28:06As a team, we wanted her to feel like she did something herself.
28:10There was nothing over the top.
28:12Just natural.
28:14Subtle.
28:15Very golden.
28:16Light makeup.
28:18Just natural.
28:19I'm very proud.
28:20Phillip?
28:20What was the particular idea to move the ruffle?
28:25Who came up with that idea?
28:26Matt and I came up with that idea.
28:27She used to kind of pop the collar, give it a little, you know, she was going out to, it
28:31was a nightclub open.
28:32You see what I'm loving?
28:32That ruffle doing that right at her chin.
28:35That's what it's there for.
28:37Yeah.
28:37That captures the drama.
28:39Good choice, gentlemen.
28:39Well, thank you.
28:40Chris, tell us about your vision and what you were going for, please.
28:45Okay.
28:45The most important thing to me when styling is absolutely silhouette.
28:49So, for our model, we wanted to take the dress, which is a bubble fit, which kind of isn't necessarily
28:54the most flattering thing, and give it that hourglass silhouette feel.
28:58So, we did that by adding a belt to it.
29:00Mel?
29:01Chris, how come that took two hours?
29:06Well, the truth of the matter is, as a stylist, you know and I know that when you pull from
29:11a designer, they give you the dress that they want to see on the runway.
29:14I get why you didn't want to change it too much.
29:15I think your point is a valid point, but it is lacking a little in possess.
29:20I personally would have liked a pop of maybe just a little bit more color.
29:25I'm sorry, Chris.
29:26I don't think it's very special.
29:28Chris is so stupid for not taking my advice.
29:31He should go home tonight.
29:33All right.
29:34Jess.
29:34Yes.
29:35Please tell us about your vision.
29:36So, we decided to go in a completely different way.
29:39We saw that everybody was doing the dress, and we really want her to stand out.
29:43So, she needs to be rocked out.
29:45This is a glam rock look.
29:47Who are you going to tell the designer on Monday morning when he sees that picture of his dress?
29:51That his dress is now a glove.
29:52I have to say, it's a Vera Wang dress.
29:55And I did not even stop to think for a second.
29:59I'm just now worried because I'm now the girl who cut the Vera Wang dress on the first day.
30:04Well, I appreciate you guys having courage to take a chance.
30:08You know, to change the whole outfit.
30:10All right.
30:10Now, I want to take a look at the hair and the makeup.
30:12We wanted to incorporate a spring color into her face palette.
30:16So, she does have on a very shimmery light blue eye shadow with a very soft smokey eye and a
30:25pale pink shimmery cheek.
30:26Mel?
30:27I mean, I think where you've won with the style, you've lost in the face.
30:32Like, I don't, like, it's not as kind of interesting to me to see her face and her hair.
30:37It's kind of, I can take it or leave it, you know?
30:40Yeah.
30:41I think it's what you wanted to say.
30:43I feel like Jess did the best that she possibly could do.
30:47It's not the best that I could possibly do, but I wasn't the leader.
30:51Tiger Lily, let's take a look at your red carpet style.
30:55The look we went for was a really classic look.
30:58We added a little bubble to the skirt.
31:01We felt like it needed some flounce.
31:03This is a beautiful interpretation and it looks fantastic.
31:08Philip?
31:09What you did, beautiful.
31:11The little flounce, fabulous.
31:13The red clutch, all that really, really great.
31:15We wanted to pay special, you know, attention to details.
31:18We painted the nails.
31:19You know, we used the time wisely.
31:21Do you think you achieved what you were going for?
31:25I feel like there's nothing to criticize, to be honest.
31:27All right, yeah, let's not get carried away here.
31:29Confidence is good, cocky, isn't it?
31:31All right, stylists, I want to thank you for presenting your red carpet looks for this evening.
31:36We're going to talk amongst ourselves, so you are excused.
31:39We'll deliberate and we'll bring you back and we'll let you know who has the best style look of the
31:44week.
31:44If my team loses, I hate to say it because I don't want to go home,
31:48but I have to say it's my responsibility because I did direct them to take it to skinny jeans.
31:55Who do you guys think did the best job?
31:57I liked Joaquin.
31:59I did.
32:00You as well.
32:01It was clever because they did one thing, like all they did was lift up the collar and that changed
32:06the whole dress and the whole look.
32:08Anxious.
32:09I think we're good.
32:09I think we're fine.
32:10I think we're fine.
32:11You had Tiger Lily's team that did an enormous amount of work.
32:16100%.
32:16Yeah, it was very classy, very pretty.
32:18I mean, their attention to detail with the nail varnish, with everything.
32:21I mean, you could tell that they had taken notice of everything.
32:24I concur 100%.
32:25I think she's got an amazing aesthetic.
32:28The ruffle is a great way to tell if someone's got an eye or not because there just has to
32:32be the right amount.
32:34I really wanted us to win the first challenge.
32:35We are going to win this first challenge.
32:38I think we have some stiff competition.
32:40Now, let's talk about the loser of the night.
32:43For me, it was Chris's team because...
32:48I concur, darling.
32:49I concur.
32:50I do.
32:51I was so disappointed with that look.
32:53I was like, it took you, what, 10 minutes to do?
32:55He talks about the neckline, the silhouette.
32:56Well, what did you do to the silhouette?
32:58Vera did the silhouette.
32:59Yeah.
33:00I don't think they like it.
33:01This is tough.
33:02It's very tough.
33:03If I was the one eliminated tonight, I would be completely and utterly disappointed.
33:08I feel like I've come so far and have so much more to give.
33:11I just don't think it's our time.
33:13No.
33:14I'm good at all.
33:14Coming up...
33:15It didn't pop.
33:17Why didn't you listen?
33:18Talk to them.
33:19Excuse me?
33:19Oh, my God.
33:20Slow your roll, baby girl.
33:21I believe you have talent.
33:23Today you fell a little bit short.
33:25Don't.
33:32Stylus, as you all know, only the best and worst of celebrity looks make it onto the glossy
33:37pages of celebrity magazines.
33:39So for this hot trend challenge, only one team will win our celebrity look of the week.
33:44Everyone else, you will be up for elimination this evening.
33:48The fact that you know that you can go home and the fact that you know what's at stake and
33:53what you can get out of winning this competition, I'm freaking out right now.
33:57Freaking out.
34:00Well.
34:00Well.
34:02Congratulations.
34:06Tiger Love.
34:07Your team styled it best.
34:10Yeah!
34:12Your whole team is safe from elimination.
34:17With great success comes a great reward.
34:19Good bow.
34:20And as the winning team, your reward is waiting for you upstairs.
34:24Your excuse to go back up to the lawn.
34:25Go and get it.
34:26Good luck y'all.
34:28We were ecstatic.
34:30Yeah, we deserved it.
34:31And we got a prize.
34:31A prize waiting for us upstairs.
34:34Their portfolios.
34:35And they're red.
34:37A great team leader.
34:38All of us.
34:39Teamwork.
34:40Everyone.
34:41That's right.
34:42Joaquin, you guys did a really good job.
34:45As a matter of fact, we felt like you guys came in second place for the evening.
34:50We appreciated that you popped the collar.
34:52So because you came in second, your whole team is safe from elimination.
34:57You may head upstairs.
34:58I was in shock.
34:59I really thought we were going to be number one.
35:01We were number two.
35:02But yet, we're still here.
35:05Your teams are still here because you are in the bottom two.
35:09One of your looks was boring.
35:11The other just didn't work.
35:13One stylist from each remaining team will be asked to leave.
35:17Phillip?
35:18Chris.
35:19It just really was bland.
35:22Just too bland.
35:24It didn't pop.
35:26It didn't say, young Hollywood, you needed a pink shoe.
35:28You needed something that was going to really stand out and grab our attention.
35:32Leave us wanting to know more about that star.
35:35I know Chris was a team leader.
35:37But I said, I want color.
35:40Chris, why didn't you listen?
35:41Right, the color was an issue.
35:42Definitely, I'll take that.
35:43I tried to bring in like a necklace with an emerald green stone in it.
35:46And it wasn't to his satisfaction.
35:48So we bypassed it.
35:49I think that Coxie and Hendry could have been more adamant about wanting different color accessories with a look.
35:54What was your contribution to this whole scenario?
35:58We were a collective and we stuck together through this.
36:01We showed respect to our team leader.
36:02He had a vision.
36:03He has a very specific design style in mind.
36:06We gave him a chance to shine as a leader.
36:08And we respected his decisions.
36:10Coxie, I'm feeling like you're getting maybe just a little bit lost to not take initiative to tell the team
36:15leader.
36:16Talk to them.
36:16I mean.
36:18Oh, excuse me.
36:19Sorry.
36:20Oh, this one didn't.
36:22Excuse me.
36:22Oh, I was just kidding.
36:24I was just saying, talk to the next group.
36:30Oh, my God.
36:30I'm running the ship.
36:32Slow your roll, baby girl.
36:42Hendry, how important is it to you to become a stylist?
36:47It's my life and in the photo, you can see it's not my style. None of my ideas were in
36:52the style.
36:53I understand.
36:54Chris.
36:55Yes.
36:55How important is it to you to become a celebrity stylist?
36:59I was tailor made to be a celebrity stylist.
37:01I am the glam guy.
37:02I feel like I'm the winner of this competition.
37:05Coxie, how important is it to you to become a stylist?
37:08To me, this has been a date with destiny, which is why I'm here.
37:16Hendry, I believe your passion and your excuse to go to the loft.
37:22Hendry is in the house and I am ferocious. Take that, Chris.
37:27Christopher, I believe you have vision. I believe you have talent. Today you fell a little bit short.
37:35Coxie, you played the team psychologist, but you're not here to do that. You are here to be a stylist.
37:41Chris made bad choices, but at least he made them. You didn't make any.
37:46Your excuse to go to the loft, but Christopher, let me warn you, don't disappoint us again.
37:52I'm so, so, so relieved when Vivica tells me I'm safe and she believes in my desire.
37:57Keep reaching for the stars, Coxie, because today you're not ready to sell them. You're eliminated. Thank you.
38:06It was a privilege to get to work with you and meet you. Thank you.
38:12I definitely don't think it was fair, the way that the elimination played out this evening.
38:17I kept saying, Chris, let's look at it from this angle. How about let's look at it from that angle?
38:22He said to me, I'm going to take the responsibility and the fall for this. I am the team leader,
38:27and that's not what he did.
38:33Okay, Jess, you got an ex. Tell us about your team. Tell us what you would have done differently.
38:38I'm all about going bold or going home, and we really took it there tonight with our wardrobe, even though
38:44we fell short on some things.
38:45Let's simplify this. Beau, who do you think was the weakest person in the group?
38:52Wow. I hate doing stuff like that, but Aaron.
38:57Jess?
38:57Aaron.
38:59One thing I've seen all night is that, Aaron, you just don't say anything.
39:04I think I got taken a little bit out of my element, to be completely honest, and so I almost
39:09felt like...
39:10So maybe that's saying something.
39:11And quite possibly. I don't feel that it is. I feel that I...
39:14An assistant might be your position.
39:16Do you think that you're out of your league?
39:17No, absolutely not. I just have never been given the opportunity to actually show what I can do.
39:24Aaron, unfortunately, I disagree.
39:26Okay.
39:26We want you to keep reaching for the stars. Today, you're not ready to style them.
39:31Okay. Well, thank you very much for the opportunity. It was a pleasure.
39:35I felt like I just got smacked in the face with a bat.
39:38They didn't feel that I was talented enough or ready enough to vie for the title of Glam God.
39:48I just want to let you know, we're going to be watching you guys. This competition will not get easier.
39:53The boutiques will get tougher. The competition will get tougher.
39:57I can't believe how much I learned in the first challenge. So I'm really thinking now what they're looking for,
40:04and I'm listening.
40:05All right, Jess and Beau, you live to style another day. Okay?
40:09Thank you very much.
40:10You know, everyone worked together, don't get me wrong, but it was me that did those key things that really
40:16set fashion on the edge.
40:23This season on Glam God, we want you to take an actress and give her that leading lady look.
40:28I wanted to bring out the inner slut in her.
40:30Beauty is paying.
40:31The high trend challenge is to create a look for an entire band.
40:35We just do not know what to expect. We're going to let you go shopping.
40:39Shopping!
40:41People are going crazy. It's not necessary for you to be over here.
40:45It's tense and a little aggressive.
40:46Woo!
40:46Are you getting them off?
40:48Yeah.
40:48I didn't grab them. Shut up.
40:49Things are getting really heated.
40:51Forget about the makeup, please.
40:52Do you need me to help you back or no?
40:53I'd really appreciate if you just stay out of my way.
40:55No!
40:56We got so much drama in the house.
40:58No, don't push me, please.
40:59I'm not pushing.
41:00No one went behind your back.
41:01Whatever. It's just irrelevant.
41:02Erased.
41:03Stop it.
41:03Stop it.
41:04I feel like I'm in prison and need to get out.
41:08Give me a shot.
41:14I have this alter ego.
41:16No.
41:16Her name is Jackie Blue.
41:17No!
41:19Joaquim is out of control and it gets in the way of his work.
41:22It's not about what you want. It's about what we want.
41:25It's what they want.
41:26What is this?
41:27No!
41:28You don't listen.
41:29I'll take over.
41:30This is very frustrating.
41:31You put yourself in front of the client. That cannot happen.
41:34If I don't have fashion in my life, I will die.
41:36Sometimes in my life, I only have $10 in my pocket and instead of eating, I go and buy fabric.
41:42How bad do you really want to become a glam god?
41:44More than anything.
41:45Do you think you still deserve to be here?
41:47It's so stressful because if you fail, you're out.
41:49You guys are gonna lose!
41:55Ten minutes left.
41:57Come down.
41:58I was ripped to shreds.
41:59What's the wrong dress?
42:00I'm embarrassed.
42:01You have dressed a hooker?
42:02That's their signature style.
42:04I hate liars.
42:04There's no one lying here.
42:06Okay, I'm done.
42:06I'm done.
42:08This is gonna be the most intense challenge.
42:10It's just so much pressure.
42:12Congratulations.
42:13You are our glam god.
42:20What up?
42:21It's your boy, Dashio.
42:22I'm Stacy Cox.
42:24Hey, it's Beau.
42:25For more outrageous glam moments, check out goglam.beach1.com.
42:32Uh-huh.
42:33Right, right.
42:34Over the shoulders.
42:35Over the shoulders.
42:37Hey!
42:38Okay, boy.
42:39You have a red carpet.
42:41Throw your shoulders back.
42:48You have to do what they do, what the models do at the end of the show.
42:52Like when their hands are too heavy and they're just like...
42:54Right.
42:55Right, right.
42:56Walking around in circles.
42:57And they're just...
42:58Oh my god.
42:59I can't rock.
43:00I can't rock.
43:01It's probably terrible.
