00:00Coach, who's going to start for your quarterback this year for the Huskies?
00:04So we got DeMond Williams as our starting quarterback,
00:06and he's going into year three with us.
00:11I recruited him out of high school.
00:13He's an Arizona kid that committed to us at U of A.
00:16And then the day that we left, he went in the portal.
00:19I think he spent one day on campus.
00:22And so he's been with me now for going into three years.
00:25He started the last four games, last three games.
00:29That was true freshman year.
00:30Then he started every game this past year, led the Big Ten in total yardage
00:35this past season at quarterback.
00:38And then we'll now go into, this will be his 17th start, I believe,
00:43or 16th start opening day this year.
00:46So excited about having that continuity for sure.
00:49Coach, you're skilled guys, wide receiver room.
00:52You know, that's kind of your forte as well, you know, finding these skilled guys.
00:57Do you have enough of them?
00:58How do you feel about that room there?
01:00Tight ends, wide receivers, you're running back.
01:02Outside of the quarterback, how do you feel about that room?
01:05Yeah.
01:06You know, the big thing, so we'll probably be, we're losing two guys that were
01:12extremely productive.
01:13Denzel Boston, I think a lot of people have him, you know, right now in the mock drafts
01:18going in the first round.
01:20Jonah Coleman, our running back, probably mock draft around the third round.
01:25So I'm looking at those two losses and we have to replace them.
01:29We've got a really good receiving core right now.
01:32We have a freshman All-American, Des Roebuck, who's coming back, you know, going into his
01:37sophomore year.
01:38We've been able to surround it with some really good players.
01:41We brought one or two portal guys in, but most of them are guys that are either freshmen
01:45or guys that have been on the, you know, kind of learning from the others.
01:49We had a guy that lost the whole season last year, our starting outside receiver, broke
01:54his collarbone week one.
01:55He's back this year, obviously.
01:57So I think we'll be good at receiver.
02:00We like to throw the football, as you know, we like to be able to stretch the field.
02:05So he's going to be a big, big part of it for us.
02:08And then I would say the other part of it is at running back, you know, we were able to
02:14bring a couple guys in the portal.
02:16We're really thinking that the younger guys that we had are going to be able to step up.
02:20We like to try to give them the opportunity to do that, you know, step up and go.
