Catholic Mass Today I Daily Holy Mass I Wednesday March 18 2026 I English Holy Mass
Transcript
00:13In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The Lord be with
00:19you.
00:20We stand now, dear friends, in God's presence trusting that, as the entrance antiphon says,
00:26His salvation never fails. And so, with great confidence in God, who is always victorious,
00:34who always brings us to His victory, we bring to Him our prayers and our intentions.
00:39In a special way, I'm offering this Mass for the eternal repose of Aloysius on his death anniversary.
00:47Dear brothers and sisters, let us acknowledge our sins and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the Sacred Mysteries.
00:56You were sent to heal the contrite of heart. Lord, have mercy.
01:01You came to call sinners. Christ, have mercy.
01:05You are seated at the right hand of the Father to intercede for us. Lord, have mercy.
01:12May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life.
01:18Let us pray.
01:22O God, who reward the merits of the just, and offer pardon to sinners who do penance,
01:28have mercy, we pray, on those who call upon you,
01:32that the admission of our guilt may serve to obtain your pardon for our sins.
01:38Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you,
01:42in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.
01:51A reading from the prophet Isaiah.
01:54Thus says the Lord,
01:56At the favorable time I will answer you.
01:59On the day of salvation I will help you.
02:02I have formed you and have appointed you as covenant of the people.
02:07I will restore the land and assign you the estates that lie waste.
02:12I will say to the prisoners,
02:14Come out.
02:15To those who are in darkness,
02:17Show yourselves.
02:20On every roadway they will graze,
02:22and each bare height shall be their pasture.
02:25They will never hunger or thirst.
02:28Scorching wind and sun shall never plague them.
02:32For he who pities them will lead them and guide them to springs of water.
02:39I will make a highway of all the mountains,
02:42and the high road shall be banked up.
02:44Some are on their way from afar,
02:47others from the north and the west,
02:49others from the land of Sinium.
02:52Shout for joy, you heavens, exalt you earth.
02:56You mountains break into happy cries.
02:59For the Lord consoles his people,
03:03and takes pity on those who are afflicted.
03:07For Zion was saying,
03:10The Lord has abandoned me.
03:12The Lord has forgotten me.
03:15Does a woman forget her baby at the breast,
03:19or fail to cherish the son of her womb?
03:23Yet even if these forget,
03:27I will never forget you.
03:34The word of the Lord.
03:38The Lord is kind and merciful.
03:41The Lord is kind and merciful.
03:43The Lord is kind and full of compassion,
03:46slow to anger,
03:47abounding in love.
03:49How good is the Lord to all,
03:51compassionate to all his creatures.
03:54The Lord is kind and merciful.
03:57The Lord is faithful in all his words,
04:00and loving in all his deeds.
04:02The Lord supports all who fall,
04:04and raises all who are bowed down.
04:07The Lord is kind and merciful.
04:10The Lord is just in all his ways,
04:12and loving in all his deeds.
04:14He is close to all who call on him from their hearts.
04:19The Lord is kind and merciful.
04:24Glory and praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
04:27I am the resurrection and the life, says the Lord.
04:31Whoever believes in me will not die forever.
04:35Glory and praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
04:41The Lord be with you.
04:43A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John.
04:50Jesus said to the Jews,
04:52My father goes on working,
04:54and so do I.
04:56But that only made the Jews even more intent on killing him.
05:01Because not content with breaking the Sabbath,
05:04he spoke of God as his own father,
05:07and so made himself God's equal.
05:10To this accusation, Jesus replied,
05:13I tell you most solemnly,
05:16The son can do nothing by himself.
05:20He can do only what he sees the father doing.
05:23And whatever the father does,
05:26the son does too.
05:28For the father loves the son,
05:30and shows him everything he does himself.
05:33And he will show him even greater things than these,
05:37works that will astonish you.
05:40Thus as the father raises the dead and gives them life,
05:43so the son gives life to anyone he chooses.
05:48For the father judges no one.
05:50He has entrusted all judgment to the son,
05:54so that all may honor the son as they honor the father.
05:58Whoever refuses honor to the son,
06:01refuses honor to the father who sent him.
06:04I tell you most solemnly,
06:07whoever listens to my words and believes in the one who sent me,
06:11has eternal life.
06:13Without being brought to judgment,
06:15he has passed from death to life.
06:18I tell you most solemnly,
06:20the hour will come,
06:22in fact it is here already,
06:25when the dead will hear the voice of the son of God,
06:29and all who hear it will live.
06:32For the father who is the source of life,
06:35has made the son the source of life,
06:37and because he is the son of man,
06:40has appointed him supreme judge.
06:43Do not be surprised at this,
06:46for the hour is coming,
06:48when the dead will leave their graves at the sound of his voice.
06:52Those who did good will rise again to life,
06:55and those who did evil to condemnation.
06:59I can do nothing by myself.
07:02I can only judge as I am told to judge,
07:05and my judging is just,
07:07because my aim is to do not my own will,
07:11but the will of him who sent me.
07:18The Gospel of the Lord.
07:21Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
07:35Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,
07:38for through your goodness we have received the bread we offer you,
07:41for the earth and work of human hands,
07:43it will become for us the bread of life.
08:00Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,
08:02for through your goodness we have received the wine we offer you,
08:05for the divine and work of human hands,
08:08it will become for us our spiritual drink.
08:26Pray, brothers and sisters,
08:28that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God,
08:31the Almighty Father.
08:33Amen.
08:39May the power of this sacrifice, O Lord, we pray,
08:42mercifully wipe away what is old in us,
08:45and increase in us grace of salvation,
08:48and newness of life,
08:49through Christ our Lord.
08:52The Lord be with you,
08:53and with your spirit,
08:55lift up your hearts,
08:56we lift them up to the Lord,
08:57let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
08:59It is right and just.
09:01It is truly right and just,
09:04our duty and our salvation,
09:06always and everywhere to give you thanks,
09:09Lord, Holy Father,
09:10Almighty and Eternal God.
09:12For you will,
09:13that our self-denial should give you thanks,
09:16humble our sinful pride,
09:18contribute to the feeding of the poor,
09:20and so help us imitate you in your kindness.
09:23And so we glorify you with countless angels,
09:26as with one voice of praise,
09:28we acclaim.
09:30Holy, Holy, Holy Lord,
09:32God of hosts,
09:34heaven and earth are full of your glory,
09:36Hosanna in the highest.
09:38Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord,
09:41Hosanna in the highest.
09:48You are indeed holy, O Lord,
09:50a fount of all holiness.
09:52Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray,
09:54by sending down your Spirit upon them like the truthful,
09:58so that they may become for us the body and blood
10:01of our Lord Jesus Christ.
10:05At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his passion,
10:08he took bread,
10:10and giving thanks,
10:11broke it,
10:12and gave it to his disciples,
10:14saying,
10:14Take this all of you and eat of it,
10:18for this is my body,
10:20which will be given up for you.
10:44In a similar way, when supper was ended,
10:47he took the chalice,
10:49and once more giving thanks,
10:51he gave it to his disciples,
10:52saying,
10:53Take this all of you and drink from it,
10:55for this is the chalice of my blood,
10:58the blood of the new and eternal covenant,
11:01which will be poured out for you and for many
11:03for the forgiveness of sins.
11:05Do this in memory of me.
11:31The mystery of faith,
11:34we proclaim your death,
11:35O Lord,
11:36and profess your resurrection until you come again.
11:40Therefore,
11:41as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection,
11:44we offer you,
11:45Lord,
11:46the bread of life
11:47and the chalice of salvation,
11:49giving thanks that you have held us worthy
11:51to be in your presence and minister to you.
11:55Humbly,
11:56we pray that partaking of the body and blood of Christ,
11:58we may be gathered into one
12:00by the Holy Spirit.
12:02Remember,
12:03Lord,
12:03your church spread throughout the world,
12:05and bring her to the fullness of charity,
12:08together with Leo,
12:09our Pope,
12:09and Charles,
12:10our Bishop,
12:11and all the clergy.
12:13Remember your servant,
12:14Aloysius,
12:15whom you have called from this world to yourself,
12:18grant that he who was united with your son in a death like his,
12:22may also be one with him in his resurrection.
12:26Remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection,
12:31and all who have died in your mercy.
12:34Welcome them into the light of your face.
12:37Have mercy on us all,
12:39we pray that with the blessed Virgin Mary,
12:41mother of God,
12:42with blessed Joseph,
12:43her spouse,
12:44with the blessed apostles,
12:45and all the saints,
12:46who have pleased you throughout the ages.
12:49We may merit to be coheirs to eternal life,
12:52and may praise and glorify you through your Son,
12:56Jesus Christ.
12:59Through him,
13:00and with him,
13:01and in him,
13:01O God,
13:02almighty Father,
13:03in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
13:06all glory and honor is yours,
13:09forever and ever.
13:11Amen.
13:13At the Savior's command and form by divine teaching,
13:17we dare to say,
13:19Our Father,
13:20who art in heaven,
13:22hallowed be thy name,
13:23thy kingdom come,
13:25thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
13:28Give us this day our daily bread,
13:31and forgive us our trespasses,
13:33as we forgive those who trespass against us.
13:37And lead us not into temptation,
13:39but deliver us from evil.
13:42Deliver us,
13:43Lord,
13:43we pray,
13:43from every evil,
13:44graciously grant peace in our days,
13:47that by the help of your mercy,
13:48we may be always free from sin,
13:51and safe from all distress,
13:53as we await the blessed hope,
13:55and the coming of our Savior,
13:56Jesus Christ.
14:00Lord Jesus Christ,
14:02you said to your apostles,
14:03Peace I leave you,
14:04my peace I give you.
14:05Look not on our sins,
14:06but on the faith of your church,
14:08and graciously grant her peace and unity,
14:11in accordance with your will,
14:12who live and reign forever and ever.
14:16The peace of the Lord be with you always.
14:20Let us offer each other the sign of peace.
14:22Peace be with you.

15:35Blessed are those called to the Supper of the Lamb!
15:38Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof,
15:43but only say the word, and my soul shall be healed.
15:47My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most blessed sacrament.
15:52I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul.
15:57Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally,
16:00come at least spiritually into my heart.
16:03I embrace you as if you were already there,
16:05and unite myself wholly to you.
16:08Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen.
16:12Let us pray.
16:16May your heavenly gifts, O Lord, we pray,
16:19which you bestow as a heavenly remedy on your people,
16:22not bring judgment to those who receive them.
16:26Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
