00:19is the feast of St. Thomas the Apostle.
00:24Recognize our sins. Recognize the mercy and the love of God. Lord have mercy. Christ have mercy. Lord have mercy.
00:34May Almighty God have mercy on us. Forgive us our sins and lead us into healing and life everlasting.
00:42Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to people of goodwill. We praise you. We bless you.
00:49We adore you. We glorify you. We give you thanks for your great glory.
00:53Lord God, Heavenly King. O God, Almighty Father. Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son. Lord God, Lamb of God, Son
01:03of the Father. You take away the sins of the world. Have mercy on us.
01:07You take away the sins of the world. Receive our prayer. You are seated at the right hand of the
01:14Father. Have mercy on us. For you alone are the Holy One. You alone are the Lord. You alone are
01:21the Most High Jesus Christ. With the Holy Spirit. In the glory of God the Father. Amen.
01:27Let us pray. Grant Almighty God, that we may glory in the feast of the blessed Apostle Thomas, so that
01:37we may always be sustained by his intercession and believing may have life. In the name of Jesus Christ, your
01:44Son, whom Thomas acknowledged as the Lord, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
01:51God forever and ever. Amen.
01:56A reading from the letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians.
02:01You are no longer aliens or foreign visitors. You are citizens, like all the saints, and part of God's household.
02:09You are part of a building that has the apostles and prophets for its foundations, and Christ Jesus himself for
02:18its main cornerstone.
02:19As every structure is aligned on him, as every structure is aligned on him, or grow into one holy temple
02:25in the Lord, and you too in him are being built into a house where God lives in the Spirit.
02:33The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. Go out to all the world and tell the good news.
02:41Go out to all the world and tell the good news.
02:44Oh, praise the Lord, all you nations and praise the Lord, all you nations and praise the Lord, all you
02:48peoples. Go out to all the world and tell the good news.
02:53Go out to all the world and tell the good news.
02:53Strong is his love for us. He is faithful forever. Go out to all the world and tell the good
02:59news.
03:01Alleluia, alleluia. You believe in me, Thomas, because you have seen me. Happy are those who have not seen me,
03:08but still believe. Alleluia.
03:12The Lord be with you. A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John. Glory to you, O Lord.
03:19Thomas, called the twin, was one of the twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came.
03:26When they said, We have seen the Lord, he answered, Unless I see the holes that the nails made in
03:34his hands, and can put my finger into the holes they made, and unless I can put my hand into
03:42his side, I refuse to believe.
03:45Eight days later, the disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. The doors were closed, but
03:53Jesus came in and stood among them.
03:56Peace be with you, he said. Then he spoke to Thomas, Put your finger here. Look, here are my hands.
04:04Give me your hands. Put it into my side. Doubt no longer, but leave.
04:10Thomas said.
04:12Thomas said, My Lord and my God. Jesus said to them, You believe because you can see me. Happy are
04:18those who have not seen and yet believe.
04:21The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
04:32Thomas doubted. Can anyone really say they've never doubted? I think most of us do at some stage.
04:41But doubt can lead us into growth and deeper commitment if we look into things and not just say, I
04:49doubt and stay there.
04:51When we, I remember as a young man, when I questioned everything as I was growing up in my faith,
04:57and I went to my priest, I was a young man, you know, in my late teens, and I said,
05:02I think I'm losing my faith.
05:03And he smiled. He said, I think you are growing up. And he was right, of course. Because I researched,
05:10I looked, and I said, This makes sense. And I made a deeper commitment than ever.
05:14So, we continue to trust that God is guiding us, the light of Christ is leading us, and that he
05:21is leading us into a deeper commitment of love.
05:25And we keep in mind the unity of the church that has come down from the apostles, the magisterium of
05:31the church that is entrusted to keep the unity of the church.
05:35And we hear of breakaways and things like that, but we need to stay to what Jesus has given us.
05:41Peter, you're a rock and this rock I've been with my church. And also of the apostles, together with Peter,
05:48made that apostolic teaching.
05:50And it has continued now. The magisterium of the church guides us as a gift from Christ, so that the
05:57church remains faithful.
05:59Not up to individuals to make up their own mind for matters of faith and dogma and teaching.
06:05It's given to us by God. And we obediently listen and are guided by the wisdom of God.
06:17Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for to your goodness we have this bread to offer, which earth
06:22has given human hands have made.
06:24It will become for us the bread of life. Blessed be God forever.
06:44Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for to your goodness we have this wine to offer, fruit of
06:49divine work of human hands.
06:51It will become our spiritual dream. Blessed be God forever.
07:04Let us pray, brothers and sisters, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God our almighty Father.
07:11May the Lord accept his sacrifice from our hands, for the praise and glory of God's name, for our good
07:17and the good of God's Holy Church.
07:23We render, O Lord, the service that is due, your due, humbly imploring you to keep safe your gift in
07:31us as we honour the confession of the Apostle St. Thomas and offer you a sacrifice of praise through Christ
07:39our Lord. Amen.
07:41The Lord be with you.
07:43The Lord be with you. Lift up your hearts. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
07:49It is truly right and just our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere, to give you thanks, Lord, Holy
07:58Father almighty and eternal God, through Christ our Lord.
08:02For you have built your church to stand firm on apostolic foundations, to be a lasting sign of your holiness
08:11on earth, and offer all humanity your heavenly teaching.
08:16Therefore, now and for ages unending, with all the hosts of angels, we sing to you with all our hearts,
08:24crying out as we acclaim, Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of hosts, heaven and earth are full of your glory.
08:33Hosanna in the highest.
08:35Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
08:39Hosanna in the highest.
08:42Hosanna in the highest.
08:42You are indeed holy, O Lord, the fount of all holiness.
08:46Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray, by sending down your Spirit upon them like the dewfall, so that they
08:53may become for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
08:57At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his passion, he took bread, and giving thanks, broke it,
09:05and gave it to his disciples, saying,
09:09Take this, all of you, and drink from it.
09:12Take this, all of you, and eat of it, for this is my body, which will be given up for
09:16you.
09:22In a similar way, when supper was ended, he took the chalice, and once more giving thanks, he gave it
09:30to his disciples, saying,
09:32Take this, all of you, and drink from it, for this is the chalice of my blood, the blood of
09:37the new and eternal covenant, which will be poured out for you and for many, for the forgiveness of sins.
09:45Do this in memory of me.
09:53The mystery of faith.
09:56Save us, Saviour of the world, for by your cross and resurrection you have set us free.
10:05Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection, we offer you, Lord, the bread of life and
10:11the chalice of salvation, giving thanks that you have held us worthy to be in your presence and minister to
10:18you.
10:19Humbly we pray that, partaking of the body and blood of Christ, we may be gathered into one by the
10:26Holy Spirit.
10:27Remember, Lord, your Church spread throughout the world, and bring her to the fullness of charity, together with Leo, our
10:35Pope, me, your unworthy servant, and all the clergy.
10:39Remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection, and all who have
10:46died in your mercy.
10:48Welcome them into the light of your face.
10:51Have mercy on us all, we pray, that with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, Blessed Joseph, her spouse,
10:58with the blessed apostles, and all the saints who have pleased you throughout the ages, we may merit to be
11:05coerced to eternal life, and may praise and glorify you through your Son, Jesus Christ.
11:15Through him, and with him, and in him, O God Almighty, Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all
11:21glory and honour is yours for ever and ever. Amen.
11:27At the Saviour's command, and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say,
11:31Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as
11:39it is in heaven.
11:40Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us,
11:48and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
11:53Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that by the help of your
11:59mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and
12:06the coming of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
12:09For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, now and for ever.
12:14Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your apostles, Peace I leave you, my peace I give you, look not on
12:21our sins, but on the faith of your Church, and graciously grant her peace and unity in accordance with your
12:27will, who live and reign forever and ever. Amen.
12:31The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always. Let us offer each other a sign of peace.
12:37Peace be with you all.
12:40Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world. Have mercy on us.
12:46Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world. Have mercy on us.
12:52Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world. Grant us peace.
13:10Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world. Happy are those who are called to
13:15the supper of the Lamb. Lord, I am not worried you should enter under my roof, but only say the
13:21word and my soul shall be healed.
13:24Amen.
13:25My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most blessed sacrament. I love you above all things, and
13:31I desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally,
13:38come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace you as if you were already there, and unite myself wholly
13:45to you. Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen.
13:49Let us pray. O God, as we truly receive in this sacrament the body of your only begotten Son, grant
13:58we pray that we may recognize him with the Apostle Thomas by faith as our Lord and God and proclaim
14:04him by our deeds and by our life who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.
14:10The Lord be with you. May the peace and the blessing of the Father and of the Son and of
14:17the Holy Spirit come upon you and remain always with you. Let us go and proclaim the gospel by our
14:23lives. Thanks be to God and God bless your day.
14:26God bless you.
14:28God bless you.
