00:13In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
00:18The Lord be with you, and with your spirit.
00:20Today, dear friends, is the first Friday of the month, and so I'm offering Devotive Mass of the Sacred Heart
00:26of Jesus.
00:26We entrust to the heart of our Lord, pierced, broken, but also glorious and loving, all of our intentions for
00:35ourselves and for the needs of the Church and of the world.
00:38Let us acknowledge our sins, and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the Sacred Mysteries.
00:44You were sent to heal the contrite of heart, Lord, have mercy.
00:49You came to call sinners, Christ, have mercy.
00:53You are seated at the right hand of the Father to intercede for us, Lord, have mercy.
00:59May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life. Amen.
01:06Let us pray.
01:08Clothe us, Lord God, with the virtues of the heart of your Son, and set us aflame with his love,
01:15that, conformed to his image, we may merit a share in eternal redemption.
01:20Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
01:26God, forever and ever. Amen.
01:30A reading from the Prophet Nahum.
01:33See, over the mountains the messenger hurries. Peace, he proclaims.
01:38Judah, celebrate your feasts, carry out your vows, for Belial will never pass through you again.
01:47He is utterly annihilated.
01:50Yes, the Lord is restoring the vineyard of Jacob and the vineyard of Israel.
01:55For the plunderers had plundered them, they had broken off their branches.
02:01Woe to the city soaked in blood full of lice, stuffed with booty, whose plunderings no no end.
02:07The crack of the whip, the rumble of wheels, galloping horse, jolting chariot, charging cavalry, flash of swords, gleam of
02:18spears.
02:19A mass of wounded, hosts of dead, quantless corpses, they stumble over the dead.
02:26I am going to pelt you with filth, shame you, make you a public show.
02:32And all who look on you will turn their backs on you and say, Nineveh is a ruin.
02:39Could anyone pity her?
02:41Where can I find anyone to comfort her?
02:50It is I who deal death and give life.
02:56It is close, the day of their ruin, their doom comes at speed.
03:01For the Lord will see his people righted.
03:03He will take pity on his servants.
03:06It is I who deal death and give life.
03:10See now that I, I am he, and beside me there is no other God.
03:15It is I who deal death and life.
03:18When I have struck, it is I who heal.
03:21It is I who deal death and give life.
03:25When I have whetted my flashing sword, I will take up the cause of right.
03:29I will give my foes as good again.
03:32I will repay those who hate me.
03:34It is I who deal death and give life.
03:40Alleluia, alleluia.
03:41Happy are they who suffer persecution for justice's sake.
03:45The kingdom of heaven is theirs.
03:48Alleluia.
03:51The Lord be with you.
03:53A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew.
03:59Jesus said to his disciples,
04:01If anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him renounce himself, and take up his cross, and follow
04:08me.
04:09For anyone who wants to save his life will lose it.
04:13But anyone who loses his life for my sake will find it.
04:17What then will a man gain if he wins the whole world and ruins his life?
04:23Or what has a man to offer in exchange for his life?
04:28For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of his Father with his angels.
04:33And when he does, he will reward each one according to his behavior.
04:40I tell you solemnly, there are some of these standing here who will not taste death
04:46before they see the Son of Man coming with his kingdom.
04:50The Gospel of the Lord.
04:54Amen.
05:48Great brothers and sisters.
05:50that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, the Almighty Father.
05:55May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and the glory of his name,
06:00for our good and the good of all his holy church.
06:03O God, Father of mercies, who because of the great love with which you loved us,
06:08with untold goodness gave us your only begotten Son, grant we pray,
06:13that being perfectly united with him, we may offer you worthy homage through Christ our Lord.
06:20Amen.
06:21The Lord be with you, and with your spirit, lift up your hearts, we lift them up to the Lord.
06:26Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
06:29It is right and just.
06:31It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation,
06:34always and everywhere to give you thanks, Lord, Holy Father,
06:38Almighty and Eternal God, through Christ our Lord.
06:42For raised up high on the cross, he gave himself up for us with a wonderful love,
06:48and poured out blood and water from his pierced side, the wellspring of the church's sacraments,
06:55so that one over to the open heart of the Savior, all might draw water joyfully from the springs of
07:03salvation.
07:04And so, with all the angels and saints, we praise you, as without end we acclaim.
07:10Holy, Holy, Holy Lord, God of hosts, heaven and earth are full of your glory.
07:16Hosanna in the highest.
07:18Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
07:21Hosanna in the highest.
07:25You are indeed holy, O Lord, the fount of all holiness.
07:29Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray, by sending down your Spirit upon them like the dewfall,
07:34so that they may become for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
07:40At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his passion, he took bread,
07:45and giving thanks, broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying,
07:50Take this, all of you, and eat of it, for this is my body, which will be given up for
07:57you.
08:10In a similar way, when supper was ended, he took the chalice, and once more giving thanks,
08:16he gave it to his disciples, saying, Take this, all of you, and drink from it,
08:20for this is the chalice of my blood, the blood of the new and eternal covenant,
08:26which will be poured out for you, and for many, for the forgiveness of sins.
08:31Do this in memory of me.
08:50The mystery of faith.
08:52When we eat this bread and drink this cup, we proclaim your death, O Lord, until you come again.
08:59Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection, we offer you, Lord,
09:04the bread of life and the chalice of salvation,
09:07giving thanks that you have held us worthy to be in your presence and minister to you.
09:12Humbly we pray that, partaking of the body and blood of Christ,
09:17we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.
09:20Remember, Lord, your church, spread throughout the world,
09:23and bring her to the fullness of charity, together with Leo our Pope and Charles our Bishop and all the
09:28clergy.
09:30Remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection,
09:35and all who have died in your mercy.
09:37Welcome them into the light of your face.
09:41Have mercy on us all, we pray, that with the blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God,
09:46with blessed Joseph, her spouse,
09:48with the blessed apostles and all the saints,
09:50who have pleased you throughout the ages,
09:53we may merit to be coheirs to eternal life,
09:56and may praise and glorify you
09:57through your Son, Jesus Christ.
10:01Through him, and with him, and in him, O God, almighty Father,
10:05in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
10:08all glory and honor is yours,
10:10forever and ever.
10:12Amen.
10:15At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching,
10:18we dare to say,
10:19Our Father, who art in heaven,
10:22hallowed be thy name.
10:23Thy kingdom come,
10:25thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
10:28Give us this day our daily bread,
10:30and forgive us our trespasses,
10:32as we forgive those who trespass against us.
10:36And lead us not into temptation,
10:38but deliver us from evil.
10:40Deliver us, Lord, we pray,
10:42from every evil,
10:43graciously grant peace in our days,
10:45that by the help of your mercy,
10:47we may be always free from sin,
10:49and safe from all distress,
10:51as we await the blessed hope,
10:52and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
10:58Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your apostles,
11:00Peace I leave you, my peace I give you.
11:03Look not on our sins,
11:04but on the faith of your church,
11:06and graciously grant her peace and unity
11:08in accordance with your will,
11:10who live and reign forever and ever.
11:13The peace of the Lord be with you always.
11:16Let us offer each other the sign of peace.
11:18Peace be with you.
11:41Lamb of God,
11:42you take away the sins of the world,
11:44have mercy on us.
11:46Lamb of God,
11:47you take away the sins of the world,
11:49have mercy on us.
11:51Lamb of God,
11:52you take away the sins of the world,
11:54grant us peace.
12:19Behold the Lamb of God,
12:21behold the Lamb of God,
12:21behold Him who takes away the sins of the world,
12:23blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb.
12:27Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof,
12:31but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.
12:35My Jesus,
12:36I believe that you are present in the most blessed sacrament.
12:40I love you above all things,
12:41and I desire to receive you into my soul.

12:53and unite myself wholly to you.
