00:46A 32-year-old man from Charflair was arrested and four vehicles seized during an anti-crime operation on Monday.
00:54The exercise was conducted by officers of the Anti-Extortion Unit between 4.30 a.m. and 10 a.m.

01:03Police said the intelligence-led operation followed reports of demanding money by menace.
01:08Officers went to an address along William Street, Charflair, where the suspect was arrested.
01:14During the operation, police also seized four vehicles pending inquiries.
01:18The vehicles include a Nissan Y-12, a Nissan B-15 and two Nissan Tida motor vehicles.
01:25Investigations are continuing.
01:27The counter-trafficking unit of the Ministry of Homeland Security executed its first preventative detention order

01:38and arrested one man said to be the primary suspect in a human trafficking operation.

01:45Acting on intelligence received through Interpol, officers of the counter-trafficking unit
01:50conducted several weeks of surveillance at a premises located on Fraser Street in Rio Claro.
01:56The operation culminated with the execution of a search warrant,
02:01during which a man identified as Ryan Mark, age 42, a Trinidad and Tobago national,
02:06and a businessman was arrested in accordance with the Emergency Powers Regulations
02:10and was subsequently detained under a preventative detention order.
02:14A total of 11 individuals were discovered at the location.
02:18Following initial screening and investigation by CTU officers,
02:22four Venezuelan women were confirmed as victims of trafficking.
02:26Preliminary evidence gathered at the premises indicated that the victims had long been subjected
02:32to prolonged and severe exploitation.
02:35Officers observed clear signs of physical abuse, including visible marks of violence,
02:40and branding on the bodies of victims.
02:43Initial information suggests that some of the victims had been confined
02:46and exploited at the location for more than two years.
02:51Well, Tobago has recorded its second murder with the death of Stacey Samaru of Golconda, San Fernando, Trinidad.
02:57An autopsy performed on the body of the mother of one at the Scarborough Mortuary on Tuesday
03:02determined she was strangled and later drowned.
03:05One man was previously held and questioned in connection with Ms. Samaru's death.
03:10Samaru's nude body was found floating at sea on March 3rd in Blenheim area in Tobago with a rope around
03:16its neck.
03:17According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, officers responded to reports from members of the public
03:21who made the grim discovery.
03:23The body was subsequently retrieved from the sea.
03:26District Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Campbell, ordered the body removed as a Scarborough mortuary.
03:32Ms. Samaru's mother, Vashti Samaru, previously told TV6 News her daughter traveled to Tobago
03:40to seek medical assistance in undergoing eye surgery.
03:43Stacey was the mother of one.
03:45Her mother said Stacey had an eye injury about two or three years,
03:48and someone told her a doctor in Tobago could fix the eye,
03:52so she went to a clinic appointment to see about her eye.
03:56Days later, the mother of one was discovered dead.
03:59She was identified by distinct tattoos on her body and the name of her daughter, Shiloh, on her chest.
