00:00Going with the Marlin here, a guy that I've seen throw a ton,
00:03we talked about in the rookie draft as well, Robbie Snelling.
00:06I think it's going to be interesting to see how quick he gets into that rotation,
00:10but I think he's a priority for the Marlins at this point,
00:13especially now with Thomas White, even though I think Snelling was ahead of him anyways,
00:16but Thomas White going down with the oblique.
00:19I think the Marlins look at their rotation.
00:20They probably want a little bit of clarity on a couple guys,
00:23but I ultimately think it's going to be Robbie Snelling's spot to grab
00:27once they guarantee that extra year of control.
00:31I've been so impressed with Snelling because it's mental as well.
00:35Remember, this guy was a four-star linebacker,
00:37and he goes out there with the compete mentality that you really want to see
00:43out of pitchers that we talked about with Skeens and Early and some of these other guys.
00:46He's got that, right?
00:47The athleticism on the mound is evident.
00:49The fastball has progressed to a comfortably plus pitch
00:53where he's sitting in the 95 to 97 range now with above-average ride to sometimes plus ride.
00:59The curveball and slider are both effective pitches.
01:02The changeup has progressed into a really good pitch for him
01:04that he's comfortable throwing left on left.
01:06So we have a four-pitch arsenal, an elite athlete on the mound,
01:09and a headliner fastball from a lefty.
01:11And lefties just continue to have success in the major leagues right now.
01:15And lefties with great fastballs really have success in the major leagues right now.
01:19The big question is going to be where does he find a spot in the rotation?
01:22I think Max Meyer ends up moving to the bullpen.
01:24We'll see.
01:25I ultimately think that's the best spot for him.
01:27But also you could see a spot like open up with Chris Paddock potentially,
01:31depending on how he throws.
01:33We'll see how Braxton Garrett's doing.
01:35I think ultimately Snelly's going to get up there sooner rather than later.
01:38He's going to get the opportunity to throw 100, 20, 130 innings,
01:41and I think he's going to have a lot of success when he does so.
01:43It's exciting times in Miami.
01:45Peter Bendix clearly has a plan in front of him,
01:49and this team is getting younger.
01:51Of course, Sandy's still at the top of the rotation,
01:53but you already mentioned Thomas White, you know,
01:56as a really good young player.
01:58Robbie Snelling stepping up.
01:59They have, there's a youth movement going on in Miami,
02:03and there's finally a plan.
02:05Like, they've had young guys before,
02:06but now it feels like it's orchestrated in a way
02:09that will eventually lead to winning.
