00:12This is the crossover.
00:13Today and the rest of the week, we're giving away two spots in our knockout tournament each day.
00:17We'll be giving you two trivia questions today, one before two and one after two.
00:23So stay tuned, first caller contest line.
00:25I'll give out the number in a sec.
00:26With the correct answer, you win a spot in knockout.
00:29Now, also, make sure you listen closely to today's crossover,
00:31because tomorrow's two trivia questions will come from today's crossover.
00:35Getting zip for Stiney and Guru.
00:37Willard and Dibs.
00:37My guys.
00:37What's up, guys?
00:38How we doing, boys?
00:39Yeah, we're doing great.
00:40What's going on?
00:41Well rested.
00:42Yeah, well rested.
00:43Yeah, yeah, well, look right on your bushy tail today.
00:45I'll start.
00:46Got some energy up in here.
00:47In the 60s, Dibs and Willard and Evan, they had in the 60s.
00:52Never saw them.
00:52In Cleveland, the summit.
00:53I didn't know he did either.
00:55It was for the change for black folks, you know.
00:58Get their rights or whatnot.
00:59And they had the likes of Muhammad Ali, Lou Alcindor.
01:02Jim Brown.
01:03Jim Brown.
01:04All the greats there.
01:05And I feel like who I am as a black man in America,
01:08I would have been there if I was invited because I'm down for the cause.
01:12And I bring that up because people, some certain,
01:15Coach and I got into it.
01:16It's all love, Austin and San Jose.
01:18You can't give pods a compliment without something like having an agenda.
01:24And I'm just pointing out, yeah, you guys are down on him.
01:28He made a bad pass and Kerr put him in a bad spot
01:30because Richard didn't deserve to get yelled at.
01:32And I thought immediately, that ain't going to help pods.
01:35And I'm just trying to point out he had 25.
01:38Evan, what were his numbers since March?
01:40Pods.
01:41To be fair, since people didn't like that, I didn't say the February numbers.
01:44He did not shoot.
01:45He didn't shoot well in March.
01:46He shot below 30% from three.
01:48But in the month of March, he is averaging 20 points per game,
01:51seven rebounds, and four assists on 48% from the field and 43 from three.
01:56And they're not in that game or a few of the last games without pods.
02:00And I'm just coming in and simply saying,
02:04dude is making the best out of the situation.
02:07And the pods haters don't want to hear that.
02:09No, they don't.
02:09And you could look at what their record is.
02:11And it's similar to the Kaminga haters when, you know, Kaminga,
02:15he averaged 20 a game against Minnesota while they went 0-4.
02:18See, I didn't like that.
02:20Right.
02:20And so if you don't like that, I don't know how you can like this.
02:23Because, yes, pods is cooking, but they're not winning.
02:26So, I mean, is it empty calories?
02:27Is it Jordan Poole?
02:29You can look at anything you want numbers-wise, results-wise,
02:32and you can make your own judgment about it.
02:35Right now, the Warriors have virtually nobody.
02:38And they've got nothing.
02:40So he's playing well.
02:42Good.
02:42Good on you, pods.
02:43I didn't say perfect, Will.
02:44I didn't say perfect.
02:46Well, I mean, there's so much to say.
02:48We're meeting teammates at the tip-off.
02:53Like, stop.
02:54What was that guy's name last night?
02:55I don't think they had him.
02:57It was a tip-off.
02:57No, who was it?
02:59Marlena Leons.
03:00No, not Leons.
03:00No, the other one.
03:01No, we know him.
03:02The Yurt-Seven guy.
03:03What the hell?
03:04He signed him on Saturday.
03:05Exactly.
03:06We're meeting him at the game.
03:07I think Steve Turb met him, too.
03:09I'm like, hi, Omar.
03:11Omar, I'm a fan.
03:12Hi, good luck.
03:13Like, what in the hell is this?
03:16Why would we make any judgments about anyone?
03:19What is this?
03:20Four rebounds.
03:21Oh, man.
03:21Oh, God.
03:22Who are these people?
03:24Who are you?
03:25So, okay.
03:27Brandon Pajemski, huh?
03:29It wasn't his fault that Kerr, like, Coach I said, real quick, Will, he owes Richard, and
03:37there's something to this for me, a public apology.
03:40Yeah.
03:41I mean, he kind of apologized, but he felt like he was in front of us.
03:44He wanted it to be.
03:45I get that.
03:45That's not the word.
03:47And Kerr walked it back before he knew.
03:49No, not a good moment for Steve.
03:52Not a good moment for Steve, and especially because the bad pass was Brandon's.
03:58Boy, I mean, they just fed the hell out of the animal there, right?
04:01They just fed it.
04:02They were just like, come over here.
04:03Here's raw meat.
04:04Eat that.
04:05There you go.
04:06Like, that was the worst possible ridiculous thing that could have happened.
04:10I still am having a hard time.
04:13Anytime that stuff happens, Wyatt ends up on Pods' lap.
04:17That, man.
04:18That's going to be my take.
04:19I think you know, Will.
04:20Well, but Wyatt, you're mad at Steve.
04:23So be mad at Steve.
04:25No doubt about it.
04:26What's this got to do with, I don't know what this has got to do.
04:28It's the history of Pods that people feel like, so that wasn't another example of,
04:33let's just curse subconscious was like, I can't yell at Pods.
04:36That's fine.
04:37Let's talk about that.
04:37I got to yell at this.
04:38Then let's talk about that.
04:39But why is that Brandon's fault?
04:42I don't have that answer.
04:43What did he do?
04:44I love you, coach.
04:45We just got into it.
04:46And we didn't get into it.
04:47He thinks he's not good at all.
04:49Well, that's fine.
04:50That's fine.
04:51I think there's a lot of Warriors right now that I could point to and be like,
04:53they're not good.
04:55If you think that Brandon right now is the worst player on the team, you're nuts.
04:59You're flat out certifiable.
05:01And why this ever has to be about race, if you want to have a conversation about Steve,
05:08Steve, do that.
05:09What did Brandon do?
05:11The only thing you got on this guy is he came off snotty a couple times.
05:17That's it.
05:18Steve, I think that was more my issue with it.
05:21And it wasn't, he was in the wrong, obviously.
05:24Will Richard, to me, didn't do anything that deserved a thrashing at midcourt.
05:29But to me, the bigger problem that I had with it was that you lost your composure.
05:34Even if he had yelled at Potts.
05:36But don't coaches do that, E?
05:38Not when you're up in a game in the second quarter.
05:40To me, like.
05:41Huh.
05:42Really?
05:44That badly?
05:46That badly.
05:47I don't know.
05:48I read it as a buildup of everything that he's been feeling for the last month or so.
05:53You're up by double digits on the road.
05:56Yes, you're playing poorly.
05:58But in that small moment, to me, you still weren't.
06:02If they were down by 20, I'd get you ripping your team in midcourt because they just didn't show up
06:07to play.
06:08That team was focused.
06:09I feel like that team was in need of someone that could center them.
06:13That could calm them down because clearly they were playing over their skis.
06:16And that's why they're turning the ball over a whole lot.
06:18So to me, it was not the right situation to blow up no matter who you got mad at.
06:23And I think he felt that after the game because he's like, it's my job to be the leader.
06:27And, you know, you can take his apology for what you want.
06:30But I think my bigger problem was that he lost his composure in a position where I think if they
06:35were not in the position they were reeling as a team, I don't think he would have.
06:39But they weren't reeling in the moment.
06:41And that's where the frustration came.
06:42And it was back-to-back turnovers for Will Richard because on the previous possession, offensive foul, he pushed off.
06:49That's a turnover.
06:50And then the very next one, and Steve actually said this, like he thought that Will could have, you know,
06:55gotten the ball and gone to a jump stop.
06:57And I guess Steve thought that he was trying to be fancy schmancy with the no look behind the back.
07:01And so, yeah, I think he he lost his composure, not because of those back-to-back plays, but because
07:07of what's gone on, which is he has nobody over the age of 25.
07:11Apologies to Pat Spencer, who's almost 30.
07:13But you've got no veterans out there to play, and you're winning in New York in a primetime spot, and
07:19then it is slipping away.
07:21So, yeah, it was regrettable.
07:23It was not his finest moment, but I don't think that it was really about Will.
07:26It was more about the bigger picture.
07:29All right.
07:29It's time for our first trivia question, which is going to get you a spot in knockouts.
07:33It's 415-523-4652 is the contest line.
07:38The trivia question is, what high school did Daryl, the Guru Johnson, go to?
07:44First caller to the contest line with the correct answer wins, 415-523-4652.
07:50First caller with the correct answer to, where did Guru go to high school?
07:55It's a great question.
07:56Boy, I'm glad I got that.
07:57Not even listening today.
07:59A lot of love for that place.
08:00I'm glad I got my invite already, because I've got no flipping idea.
08:04Wow.
08:04I have no idea where you're with us.
08:05Honestly.
08:06Now, this hurts, Willard.
08:08I hope this is material.
08:09It's got to be material.
08:09Because you went to Foster City.
08:11Well, he didn't go to Foster City High School.
08:13It has a name, yeah.
08:14There's no such thing.
08:15Like, you didn't go to Union City High School.
08:17See?
08:17No.
08:18Yeah.
08:18There's a name of the high school that you've got to know.
08:20Yeah, but when I...
08:21Don't call it material.
08:22You can't tell me where I went to high school.
08:25When I named the high school, you corrected me to tell me where it was at, and then in my
08:29mind,
08:29and the guru computer was like, oh...
08:31I grew up in Foster City.
08:32There's no high school in Foster City.
08:33No.
08:34There's a bunch of canals and bridges.
08:36Not much else.
08:37Fake water.
08:38I've never seen this one anyway.
08:41Yeah.
08:41Without the romance and boats.
08:44Yeah.
08:45That's right.
08:45I know you guys went to high school, so...
08:47Yeah.
08:47I actually...
08:48I used to live next to somebody who went to high school with Evan.
08:52A couple different people.
08:53Oh, wow.
08:53Yeah, the Davises.
08:54Yeah.
08:54Did they sign off on them, spoke well, Evan?
08:56Oh, absolutely.
08:57He had it like...
08:58As did he and them.
08:59It's a really good day to be a Panther.
09:01You know what I mean?
09:02No doubt.
09:03St. Mary's College.
09:03It's a really good day to go to that school.
09:05He's talking about the Oscars.
09:07I'm just saying, we got...
09:08Shout out Kugler.
09:08We got an Oscar.
09:10How many Oscars between these high schools?
09:12I'm confused watching that.
09:14I mean, Steve Kerr got an Oscar.
09:15That is...
09:15He did.
09:16He did.
09:16Go ahead and put that on the board, although I was reading about it today.
09:19He gave it to Ponds already.
09:21It's a fine.
09:22And you know what happened, right?
09:24Ponds turned it over.
09:25Nice.
09:26He dropped it.
09:27He sure did.
09:28And then he yelled at Will Richard for it.
09:30He possibly will, Richard, and Steve got mad.
09:32Well, it was like, I had nothing to do with this.
09:34They just, you know, they wanted me to, like, maybe promote it, and so they put me on as
09:37an EP, and so I said yes, and so now he wins an Oscar.
09:40Oh, I've learned this.
09:42This is a dirty little secret.
09:44When you read those credits, executive producer, do you know what that means?
09:48Well, we had somebody try to tell us.
09:50Those people have money or name value and did jack bleep to help that show.
09:58Will must have called that movie.
10:00The only point from that was, if you're going to come down Steve Kerr's road, you're also
10:05coming down Steph Curry's road.
10:07He was an EP for a 2022 documentary that won an Oscar.
10:10Yeah.
10:11So.
10:11I'm not coming down anyone's road.
10:12I'm just saying.
10:13I'm just saying they didn't do jack bleep.
10:16Yeah.
10:16They're like, you need some dough?
10:18There's some dough.
10:19All right.
10:19You're an executive producer.
10:20The awards are always funny because I won an Emmy, a local Emmy.
10:24No, there's the big Emmy, and then there's the little Emmy.
10:27I won the little Emmy, which is like Northern California, but the only reason why we were
10:31able to qualify and win, you have to like pay money to go ahead and put your name in the
10:37hopper.
10:38If you don't pay the 85 bucks, then the other people who might win, they win, you don't
10:43win.
10:44So when I see my guy from CBS, Vern, get those accolades.
10:49He has to be a part of that.
10:51Like, you got to contribute.
10:53You have to.
10:53Yeah.
10:53You have to pay the registration fee.
10:55And then if you win, you win.
10:57Yeah.
10:57For the people that don't know.
10:58I won an Emmy for doing play by play for the earthquakes.
11:01But like the director, the producer and like four or five other people also won because
11:06they put in the entry fee.
11:08And if you were like the third camera person and you didn't pay, then you would have won
11:13an Emmy had you ponied up the 85 bucks or whatever.
11:15Do you still have it?
11:16You're damn right.
11:17I have it.
11:18Yeah.
11:18That's, that's one you want to keep close to the best.
11:20All right.
11:20You're listening to 95.7 The Game, KGMZ FM and HD1 San Francisco and Odyssey Sports Station.
11:25Always live in the free Odyssey app and broadcasting for the Laughing Munk Studios.
11:28Was it Ruby?
11:31Ruby or Rudy?
11:32Rudy.
11:33Rudy.
11:33Sorry.
11:34Shout out.
11:34Rudy.
11:35Sam Austin.
11:37Rudy from Union City is our winner of the first trivia question.
11:42The answer guru?
11:44James Logan High School.
11:45Yes, sir.
11:46James Logan High School.
11:47We got another trivia question.
11:48Yeah.
11:49Who that say they're going to beat James Logan?
11:51Who that?
11:51That's how we used to come out.
11:52So you went to Logan.
11:53Slater's High School.
11:54That's who.
11:54Oh, nice.
11:55We had a $50 bet.
11:57Wait, did you, did you steal the New Orleans Saints?
12:01No, actually, the Saints stole James Logan's high school.
12:05Who didn't say they're going to beat James Logan?
12:06We didn't say they're going to beat them Saints.
12:08Anthony Slater.
12:09We didn't.
12:10You were talking about Anthony Slater's High School?
12:12Yeah, they did a bet last year, and he was doing this chant on air.
12:15What is it?
12:16Rancho Cucamonga is not here.
12:17Rancho Cotati.
12:20Rancho Cotati.
12:21They beat our Colts in football.
12:24We have $50 bet.
12:24Right, and the only point I ever scored in high school as a freshman at Casa Grande
12:30was against Rancho Cotati.
12:33Come on.
12:34I hit one free throw.
12:35I scored three points in my high school career.
12:37I hit a banked-in three from about 22.
12:40Did you call bank?
12:42No.
12:42Okay.
12:42It doesn't matter.
12:44And I made one free throw as a freshman at Casa Grande.
12:48I played about 41 seconds a game.
12:50Our freshman team was really good.
12:51I was the 12th man on a 12-man team.
12:54So I was the lean-in guy.
12:56Like, hey, coach, we're up 22 with $1.12 to go.
13:00Is it safe?
13:01Sounds like your pro 36 numbers are pretty good, though.
13:03Pretty damn good.
13:04So the one time I actually, I don't even know how I got fouled because I was atrocious,
13:084'10", but I hit one free throw in my career.
13:12So am I playing knockout?
13:14I guess, but I was one for two career as a high school bomber at Casa Grande.
13:18Did you have a favorite number?
13:19Because Stine didn't.
13:20It bothered me.
13:20He played college.
13:2134 was mine.
13:22I forget yours, Evan.
13:23Well, my favorite number wasn't always my number, but it's just what I grew up liking.
13:27My favorite number you weren't allowed to wear because my favorite number was 17, Chris
13:32Mullins.
13:32But in high school back then, you had to have, like, single-digit one to five numbers.
13:37You couldn't be 17.
13:39You couldn't be 67.
13:40How many people were on the scene?
13:41Wow.
13:42There were 12.
13:43There were 12.
13:43And you had to choose single?
13:45No, you had to choose between.
13:46Was it because, like, size?
13:47No, it was because the referees didn't want to do, like, fouls on 67.
13:51Oh.
13:51Oh.
13:52Yeah.
13:52Well, look, what was your go-to?
13:54They had to be all single.
13:55So, in other words, you could be 15.
13:57Right.
13:57But you couldn't be 17.
13:58Got it.
13:59Exactly.
13:59What was yours, Will?
14:00Did you have one?
14:01Well, Scott, he hurt me when he said he said, I'm working.
14:03I didn't know.
14:03In hoops?
14:05In hoops and baseball.
14:06So, what I tried to do, because hoops.
14:08Look at you.
14:09Okay, the school had already made the jerseys.
14:12Like, in other words, so not all numbers are available.
14:15Okay.
14:15And in basketball, so competitive, each grade's getting about five players in.
14:20I was just like.
14:21Whatever.
14:22Give me, like, what jersey you want me to wear?
14:24I'll take a jersey.
14:25Right.
14:25Right.
14:26But in baseball, you know, the parents are ironing on whatever number you want.
14:30So, I would wear whatever giant was playing the position that I played.
14:36Which was?
14:37So, I wore Matt Williams' number.
14:39Look at you.
14:40You had the same number for a while.
14:41Well, remember, he changed numbers.
14:43He came up as 10, and then he switched to 9.
14:46Matt Williams.
14:47So, I wore both 10 and 9, depending on the year.
14:51Yeah.
14:52Actually, I might have been 30 in hoops, but this was pre-curring.
14:57That was Billy Owens back then.
14:59Billy Owens.
15:00Give him a little Billy Owens.
15:01Wow, man.
15:02That was my dude.
15:03They gave out the jerseys based on size.
15:05Yes.
15:05Because I was always the smallest.
15:07I wore number one every single team every single year.
15:10Who was the little dude on Bad News Bears that was bad?
15:13Tanner.
15:14That's Tanner.
15:15Not Kelly.
15:16Well, that's what pissed me off in college is I ended up with, I think, 36.
15:20And it was.
15:20They gave me an extra large.
15:22And I was just swimming in it.
15:24I was like.
15:25Swimming in it?
15:26I was swimming in this jersey.
15:27God, that noise.
15:28You know, after every single pitch, I'm throwing it over the right shoulder like, coach, it
15:32goes down to my forearms.
15:34This is unbelievable.
15:35Oh, no.
15:36Wasn't that Merton Hanks?
15:37Good call.
15:38Look at you.
15:39And you don't do numbers.
15:40I don't do numbers.
15:40You do that.
15:41You do that are emblazoned in there that I just, I'm like, okay.
15:45Numbers are numbers.
15:46Yeah.
15:46So, you guys got a short show.
15:49We're almost done.
15:50This is amazing.
15:51We're almost done.
15:51So, what happens tonight in D.C.?
15:54Do they win?
15:55You put hope.
15:56Just a lot of weird basketball.
15:59No, but the Warriors are putting an actual team out there tonight.
16:01Yeah.
16:02Or Zingas is back.
16:03And Melton.
16:04Okay.
16:04And probably Draymond.
16:05All right.
16:06There we go.
16:07And you're saving.
16:08And pods.
16:09We're just going to call him your seven-footer.
16:11Will Richard has been suspended for the game.
16:13Did you see how Curry was looking at Will like, don't listen to Dad.
16:18But Curry was like, hey, Steve, you're doing a little too much.
16:21I saw it.
16:22In my mind.
16:25This hasn't been confirmed yet.
16:26But for all the pods haters, when Curry's yelling at him,
16:31and then pods comes over and kind of gives him the back hug.
16:35In my mind, pods is whispering to him, dog, that was my bad.
16:39He better had, bro.
16:40That was my bad.
16:42Don't be right.
16:44But the haters would tell you.
16:45And I say, hey, that was a real bad pass, buddy.
16:48You got to figure that out.
16:50Pod's trying to be like, I hope you hear my coach.
16:53I hope you hear him.
16:55All right.
16:56It's time for our second trivia question.
16:58Again, this is going to get you a spot in Knockout Chase Center on Monday, April 6th.
17:04Yes.
17:04What college, along the same line of our previous question,
17:07what college did Mark Willard go to?
17:11The first caller to the contest line with the correct answer wins.
17:144-1-5, 5-2-3, 4-6-5-2.
17:17First caller with the correct answer to where Willard went to college.
17:20I'm glad that wasn't about me because the answer is all of them.
17:23I know where you started.
17:26Where were you year six?
17:28Seriously.
17:29How many junior years did I have?
17:31That's the fair question.
17:33You're not wrong, Randy.
17:35That's really good.
17:36That's really funny.
17:37Christian Kirk, huh?
17:38I mean, they're not messing around.
17:40They're not messing around.
17:41Like, this is...
17:42So Jennings is gone.
17:43That's what Evan told.
17:44That was Evan's takeaway.
17:45All right.
17:46For sure.
17:47Evan's like, don't speak for me, but you told me that.
17:49Yeah.
17:50That'd take a high time.
17:52And this isn't some...
17:53But, I mean, one year, six million bucks.
17:55And, by the way, there's so many kind of one-year deals.
17:58Even Mike Evans is kind of a...
18:00It's a concocted one-year deal.
18:03I said the number was lower than we actually got it.
18:0514 million for the first year.
18:06They do have a little bit of a cap hit if they leave after this year.
18:10But, Christian Kirk, one-year deal.
18:14You know, you've had some other one-year deals coming in.
18:17Yeah, I got you.
18:18And so, I just stick to what I said last week.
18:21Like, their message is we are Chip's middle of the table this year.
18:24Did you think about Pearsall at all during this signing of Kirk?
18:28I did.
18:29No, no, no.
18:30I thought about Demarcus Robinson.
18:32Evan brought him up.
18:33Yeah.
18:33I mean, I would have mine higher on the depth chart than Christian Kirk.
18:37Who?
18:38Demarcus Robinson.
18:39That's going to be an interesting one.
18:40He's got two touchdowns in two years.
18:42Well, we'll see.
18:43You're talking about Robinson.
18:44No, I'm talking about Christian Kirk.
18:46Kirk.
18:46Yeah.
18:46Kirk's a good player.
18:47Robinson's a good player.
18:48He didn't have a quarterback.
18:49I don't think, well, he's not even 30 yet.
18:52I don't think either.
18:54Nobody threatens Ricky.
18:56Except health.
18:57Health.
18:57Yeah.
18:58And even that, don't get me started.
19:00I thought more about Cowing and Watkins where, you know,
19:03two guys you drafted and Cowing can't get on the field
19:06and Watkins was hurt last year.
19:07And so, I don't know if Shanahan can really trust them and stuff.
19:11And so, you want to bring in somebody who's an actual, you know, veteran.
19:15Somebody who's been more proven.
19:16And so, you got Robinson, you have Kirk, you've got Evans.
19:20And I think that Pearsall, you want an insurance policy on Pearsall
19:23because, you know, there's a chance that he might not play all 17.
19:27That's kind of what I'm taking from all of this.
19:29I think the Niners are, they're putting a roster together
19:32as if they're expecting some more people to be hurt
19:34and they would like to be ready with NFL players if they are.
19:37Because you were ready at the quarterback position and that saved the season.
19:40And now they're ready at linebacker and they're ready at wide receiver.
19:43Greenlaw getting his number.
19:45The only thing, they're still not ready at left tackle
19:49and they're still not ready at backup running.
19:51So, that restructures, I was telling Evan, the 17,
19:53I thought that was Trent's money and maybe Bosa, his brother.
19:57It might be.
19:58They still have plenty.
19:59Six million is dropping the bucket.
20:01They can still go get guys.
20:02They've got plenty of room.
20:03All right.
20:04Congratulations to Zach from Vallejo, our second winner of today.
20:08The correct answer, where did Mark Willard go to college?
20:11Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
20:14Broncos?
20:15Mustangs.
20:16Mustangs.
20:17Damn it.
20:17Santa Clara.
20:18Oh, no, that's Cal Poly Pomona.
20:19Sorry.
20:20That's Cal Poly Pomona.
20:21Probably the same logo, but Mustangs.
20:23They're both green.
20:24I think Humboldt is now a Cal Poly as well.
20:27It's now, I think, Cal Poly Humboldt.
20:29Really?
20:29But go ahead.
20:29Yeah, I think so.
20:30I think they got politicized.
20:31News to me, but yeah.
20:32Policized.
20:33The more you know.
20:34Yep.
20:34Two more chances for you to win your way in a knockout tomorrow.
20:37Reminder that tomorrow's two trivia questions will have to do with whatever happened on today's crossover.
20:41So, I hope you were listening closely.
20:44The Morning Roast also giving a spot away in knockout each day this week around 8 a.m.
20:49Lock in in the morning.
20:51Strong?
20:52Yeah.
20:52That's too many Cal Polys.
20:54A lot of reads.
20:55You got Slow, you got Pomona, and now you have Humboldt.
20:58Right.
20:58So, I don't know.
21:00This is too many.
21:01Three is too many.
21:02Four would be unnecessary.
21:04It would be.
21:04Yes.
21:05At Slow, there is a little bit of a snooty thing about...
21:10Polytechnic?
21:10No, if you just say Cal Poly, where do you think I went?
21:13Nobody says, I went to Cal Poly.
21:15Where you went?
21:16San Luis, like, just Cal Poly.
21:18Cal Poly, yeah.
21:19Like, Pomona is one of five schools in a, like, very tight-knit community of, you know,
21:25Harvey Mudd and Claremont McKenna, and then there's Cal Poly Pomona and the rest of the group.
21:29What's that name of the group again?
21:30I think that's Pomona Pitzer, no?
21:33You're right.
21:34I think that's, yeah, Pomona Pitzer.
21:36It's, uh...
21:37What's the name of the group that has a name?
21:39The Claremont Colleges.
21:40Wait.
21:41It's just called the Claremont Colleges?
21:42I think so.
21:44Hmm.
21:44Because they're in Claremont.
21:46Well, Claremont McKenna is one of them.
21:48Yep, Claremont McKenna, Mudd Scripps, you got, you got Pomona, you got Pitzer.
21:52You might be right.
21:52I feel like that group has a name, and I can't think of what it is.
21:56It's just the five C's, but it's the Claremont Colleges, he's right.
21:59Okay, all right, so Claremont Colleges, but then when did this Humboldt thing happen?
22:03Recently, last couple of years.
22:05Okay.
22:05They got the Cal Poly moniker, much like UC Merced got added to the UC.
22:11That's right.
22:11Yeah, but that's a whole system, the UC system.
22:13Right.
22:14There isn't a Cal Poly system.
22:15There's not.
22:16Or not, you want to be a polytechnic university.
22:18Maybe it's like the regional Emmys, you know, they had to pay, they had to pay an entrance fee.
22:22They had to.
22:23No doubt.
22:24$85.
22:25I mean, that was the smartest money I ever spent.
22:28I had no idea that we'd win.
22:30You gotta spend that.
22:31It was for Best Live Broadcast.
22:33Look at Dibbs.
22:34It was the glow.
22:36I mean, it's one of those things when you look back on your life and your career, it's like, yeah,
22:41that's up there.
22:42That's on the Rushmore for me.
22:44Yeah.
22:45You know, and.
22:46I thought of Willard during the Oscars, Marty Supreme didn't win anything, but he was.
22:51Let's go.
22:51He was not.
22:52It was a good.
22:53Getting nominated is great.
22:55No, they did.
22:55It's a nomination sensation.
22:58And Sinner's got, what, four out of 16 nominations?
23:02Yeah.
23:02Let me stop.
23:03Yep.
23:03How do you get Best Leading Actor, Best Original Screenplay?
23:09Yeah.
23:10I'm just asking, people.
23:12But you don't win the best movie.
23:14Because it wasn't the best movie.
23:16It wasn't the best movie.
23:16No.
23:17It really wasn't.
23:18And I don't even think it was.
23:20I saw one movie.
23:20But how did you get those two and not get the best movie?
23:24And then I left.
23:25No more movies.
23:25He was done with the Oscar season after Marty Supreme.
23:28I'll get you, Dibbs.
23:29I'll be grilling this kid all morning long on it.
23:33But I was just like, make that make sense.
23:36Oddly enough, the award that is most closely associated with Best Picture is Best Film Editing.
23:43Which comes earlier in the.
23:45Best Film Editing.
23:45It's pretty early in the presentation.
23:47But that's the one, if you see that, typically the Best Picture follows during the Oscars.
23:54Yeah.
23:54I shared this earlier.
23:56You guys make fun of me.
23:58But seriously, forget sports.
23:59I really want to write a movie.
24:01I like, even during the pandemic, I think I can.
24:04I know it needs a team.
24:07And I'm coming for him again.
24:08You're going to have to stop watching.
24:10I'm watching Michael B. Jordan give an emotional speech.
24:13I felt like he was talking to me.
24:14Do it.
24:15As he accepted his Oscar.
24:16Do it.
24:16I text Evan because he's in my movie club.
24:19I want to write.
24:20Let's write a movie.
24:22Let's know.
24:22I go, let's do a movie.
24:23And this lets you know who I'm dealing with.
24:26He responds.
24:27It's dark in the lab.
24:28I'm feeling emotional.
24:29I'm ready for it.
24:30Yeah, let's do it.
24:32Let's do a movie.
24:33The response I get is, pause.
24:36Pause.
24:38Pause.
24:39Sounds like a movie about dogs.
24:41You told me you wanted to make a film with me.
24:43What am I supposed to do?
24:44Willard, I didn't like.
24:46I just licked around and bought myself like, that's what's wrong with.
24:50That's what you took from that.
24:52I love you, dude.
24:52I'll be an emotional div.
24:54Pause.
24:55It could be the name of the movie.
24:56You never know.
24:57Pause, yeah.
24:58It could be.
24:58What is it about that seat that at 212?
25:01It's not 212.
25:03It was when you started getting out laughing.
25:05No, no.
25:06It's when Guru started talking about our documentary short.
25:09My bad.
25:10No, it's sunny outside.
25:11I've got to enjoy all the.
25:12All right.
25:13It's not going anywhere.
25:15It's late until 730.
25:18Single and ready to mingle.
25:19Yeah.
25:20Something about that seat.
25:22It gets warm at 212.
25:22Dude, you guys got a short show coming up.
25:24What are you planning about?
25:25I'm just wondering why.
25:263.30.
25:27I'm just wondering why.
25:28Guru's just sitting here having a conversation.
25:30Oh, but Evan, that's why you got up.
25:33I thought you were like, man, don't bring it up again, Guru.
25:36No, it's 219.
25:37No, it's a little bit of a joke on it.
25:39Don't let him talk you out of it.
25:40Get up.
25:4095.7 the game.
25:42All righty, gents.
25:43No, it's a little bit of a joke on it.
25:43No, it's a little bit of a joke on it.
25:43No, it's a little bit of a joke on it.
25:43No, it's a little bit of a joke on it.
