Ramazan Sevinci 11. Bölüm | Leyla Şahin Usta & Osman Egin (01 Mart 2026)
Döküm
00:00:00Bismillah, Bismillah, Bismillah, Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, Bismillah.
00:00:16Dear viewers, tonight I will be talking to you about truths that even the sands cannot conceal.
00:00:24Sir, the scorching heat of the sun is pouring down from the sky onto the earth.
00:00:30And people in the desert are struggling to breathe.
00:00:34Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), one of the leading companions of the Prophet,
00:00:40He is traveling towards Medina with his entourage.
00:00:43They stop for a break on the road and set up a nice, modest meal.
00:00:48As they were sitting at the table, a shepherd passed by with his flock and greeted them.
00:00:55Abdullah ibn Omar, with great hospitality, invited the shepherd to his table.
00:01:01"Come on in," says the shepherd, "and partake of our meal."
00:01:05The shepherd expresses his gratitude for the offer and invitation, saying, "Sir, I am fasting, I have made my intention to fast."
00:01:13Abdullah ibn Omar was impressed by the shepherd's answer.
00:01:17He's a bit surprised, to be honest.
00:01:18He is with his flock in this heat and he is fasting.
00:01:23He says this with another question, trying to assess the shepherd's feelings.
00:01:30He says, "Hey shepherd, how do you fast in this heat and sun while tending your flock?"
00:01:36"Praise be to God, Allah is helping me," he says.
00:01:40To make the shepherd's test a little harder, Abdullah ibn Omar continued to ask questions.
00:01:46He even makes a request of her.
00:01:48"Hey shepherd," he says, "if you wish, sell us one of the sheep from your flock, and we'll pay you in cash."
00:01:55Let us give you a piece of meat from this sheep so that you can break your fast.
00:01:59The shepherd refuses outright.
00:02:02"No sir," he says, "this herd is not mine, it belongs to my master."
00:02:06"This herd is a trust given to me," he says.
00:02:08Abdullah ibn Omar says, "O shepherd, who will see, who will know?"
00:02:13You'd think a wolf snatched the sheep.
00:02:16The shepherd's smile vanished at these words, his face becoming serious, and his gaze hardened.
00:02:26Sir, he may not know, but where is God?
00:02:30These words touched Abdullah ibn Omar's heart, and he became tearful.
00:02:36And the words keep repeating in his mind.
00:02:40So where is God?
00:02:43And as soon as he returns from Medina, he finds the shepherd's master.
00:02:48And he bought the shepherd and his flock from his master, set the shepherd free, and gave him the flock as a gift.
00:02:57Yes, true servitude is the awareness of not coveting what has been entrusted to us by others.
00:03:02Servitude to God means being aware that God sees and watches over you at every moment.
00:03:10It means being able to ignore the evil whispers in solitude and saying, "God is with me at every moment."
00:03:18Dear viewers, tonight on our Ramadan Joy program, we will be discussing the consciousness of servitude to God.
00:03:23Our guests are Osman Egin and Dr. Leyla Şahin Usta.
00:03:28Looking forward to meeting you again soon.
00:09:58And our pre-dawn meals are like a silent resurrection, our breaking of the fasts like still water.
00:10:07And we ask ourselves this question.
00:10:13Whose slave are you?
00:10:16The sounds and echoes of the call to prayer are urging us to return to our roots.
00:10:21Yes, dear viewers, tonight on our Ramadan Joy program on TRT1, we will be discussing the consciousness of servitude to God.
00:10:32Because the consciousness of servitude means being able to feel and experience at every moment our closeness to our Lord and that He always sees and watches over us.
00:10:44I have two very special guests in our studio.
00:10:47Professor Osman Egin, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Human and Mentality Foundation, and Dr. Leyla, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Şule Yüksel Şenler Foundation.
00:11:02Master Sahin.
00:11:03Welcome, sir/madam, it's a pleasure to have you here.
00:11:06Thank you.
00:11:07Thank you very much, Professor Mustafa.
00:11:09Let me start with Ms. Şule, and by giving her positive discrimination, I'd like to say welcome.
00:11:14How is your Ramadan going?
00:11:17Thank God, it's going well.
00:11:19Of course, Ramadan falling during a cooler month, the winter months, makes fasting a more comfortable experience.
00:11:26But it's beautiful, blessed, and bountiful, especially this year, with even greater enthusiasm and excitement.
00:11:31With our children joining in this excitement, we are having a beautiful, enjoyable, and blessed Ramadan.
00:11:37Thank you very much.
00:11:39Thank you for joining us on our program today.
00:11:42Professor Osman, what are you up to, how's it going?
00:11:44Praise be to God, thank you very much, teacher.
00:11:46May God bless you.
00:11:47I too would like to extend my respects and regards to our guests watching us on TRT screens.
00:11:54As Professor Leyla also mentioned, we are truly having a wonderful Ramadan.
00:11:58In all aspects.
00:11:59Even though the world is full of major problems, whether we're watching, listening, or observing them, the month of Ramadan offers us some solace.
00:12:07May God Almighty grant us all the ability to observe that month with the same sense of devotion you mentioned, and to reach the Eid holiday.
00:12:15That's what I pray for, sir.
00:12:16Yes, in fact, the consciousness of servitude to God truly takes on a very special meaning during the holy month of Ramadan.
00:12:23But to fully comprehend what it is and what it isn't is probably a process of understanding and interpretation for our souls, and this happens when we combine it with our worship.
00:12:35It's probably a process of bringing ourselves to a certain state of being.
00:12:39How can we evaluate this, how can we comprehend the consciousness of servitude to God, hocam?
00:12:44Thank you very much, Professor Mustafa, that's a great question.
00:12:47In Arabic, we express the word "servant" with the word "abd."
00:12:52To be submissive means to be submissive and to become attached to an entity in a way that leaves a mark; in other words, there is a sense of attachment inherent in human nature, in our very being.
00:13:06Just as believing in God is a need, so too is the consciousness and feeling of being a servant of God inherent in human nature and structure.
00:13:18That's also true.
00:13:19That too is present in our software, in the software that God Almighty has instilled in us, along with that spirit.
00:13:26So, for example, every human being, every created being, even if they don't come into contact with God through any thought or message, has a necessity to find God.
00:13:39Because that's what God Almighty says.
00:13:41When We created Adam, that is, when We created mankind, We took a promise from him and inscribed Our existence into his very being.
00:13:50Why?
00:13:51لَقَدْ كُنْتَ ف۪ي غَفْلَةٍ مِنْ هَذَا
00:13:54Sir, I don't want him to say later, "I wasn't aware of this," when he leaves.
00:14:01Servitude is the same, Professor Mustafa.
00:14:03Servitude is also in our nature.
00:14:05If we don't become servants of God, we will inevitably become servants of something else.
00:14:09We become slaves to power.
00:14:11We become slaves to fame.
00:14:13We become slaves to matter.
00:14:15You can list others.
00:14:18Therefore, being a servant of God will free us from all these shackles and from having to create many gods for ourselves.
00:14:27Therefore, servitude is not slavery, but freedom.
00:14:33If you'll allow me, I'd like to elaborate on this a little further with a few verses from the Holy Quran.
00:14:39Now, generally when we say "ab" or "kul," people understand it to mean a simple, ordinary person.
00:14:47So, when I say, "I am a humble servant, sir," for example, in a modest way, it's not like that.
00:14:54That's not what the Quran describes.
00:14:56The Quran states that even when describing His prophets, God Almighty uses the attribute of "servant" as its most important characteristic.
00:15:05Professor Mustafa.
00:15:06USA.
00:15:06Of course, for example, he talks about Prophet Solomon, he talks about Prophet David.
00:15:14Say to them, "He is the best of servants."
00:15:16What a wonderful servant of God he was.
00:15:19It speaks of Prophet Noah (peace be upon him).
00:15:22He says, "Indeed, he was a grateful servant."
00:15:25What a wonderful and grateful servant of God he was.
00:15:28Thus, it is as if God Almighty expresses his sweetness and delight through his status as a servant even before his prophethood.
00:15:38The verse referring to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is in Surah Isra,
00:15:43Glory be to Him who made His servant travel by night, He who made His servant travel from there.
00:15:50Let's turn around from here, get there, and come to that place, Professor Mustafa.
00:15:54When we recite the Shahada (declaration of faith), we are reminded of how Allah Almighty, before mentioning prophethood or other attributes, emphasizes the beauty of being a servant of God.
00:16:08If he loves them,
00:16:09We also believe in our Lord, and we complete our belief in our Lord as follows.
00:16:15وَاَشْهَدُ اَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ
00:16:19Then everyone becomes equal in worship, sir.
00:16:24It's beautiful, wonderful.
00:16:25In servitude, all titles, honors, and everything that was later bestowed upon us are cast aside.
00:16:32And indeed, we view our human relations through this lens.
00:16:38That's why God, for example in the Quran, expresses His love for His servants and His compassion towards them using this word.
00:16:49Do you know who this "O Ibadi" he's referring to is?
00:16:52He's messed everything up.
00:17:00I once saw in a commentary that it referred to my beloved servant as someone who knows no bounds in sinning by going to extremes.
00:17:09One of our commentators says that the person who knows no bounds in committing sins here refers to someone who is savage.
00:17:18We all know what the savage did, what atrocities he committed.
00:17:24So, even in the place where they martyred Hz. Hamza, after his martyrdom, God Almighty says, "O my servants."
00:17:33Perhaps our viewers don't know what he's been doing, so let's briefly explain.
00:17:37So why do we use that expression?
00:17:40So, after bearing witness, it's something that's even difficult to describe.
00:17:44In other words, tormenting a dead person.
00:17:47He had removed his internal organs, attached them to the tip of an arrow, and so on.
00:17:52In other words, a person who committed every kind of despicable act imaginable, something no human being could ever do, something that would make even describing it disgusting.
00:18:06Even in this matter, our Lord treats everyone equally in terms of servitude.
00:18:11Of course, even after becoming a Muslim, he believed that all his sins were cleansed when he assumed that position and role as a servant of God.
00:18:25Even though they expressed it, they could never quite cleanse themselves from within.
00:18:30Then, when he presented this situation to God in this way, God Almighty revealed a verse.
00:18:37God forgives all sins except associating partners with Him (shirk), if He wills.
00:18:45Indeed, Allah does not forgive associating partners with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for those who live.
00:18:51The savage said, "He became such a Muslim that he left me outside, saying, 'Live in peace, Lord!'"
00:18:58Gee.
00:18:58Of course. That is, God forgives every sin except associating partners with God (shirk).
00:19:02He can forgive the others as well, if he wishes.
00:19:05Sir. But when you mention idolatry, yes, it had its savagery.
00:19:10That's brutally murdering a person.
00:19:12The heinous murder of the beloved son of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and the continuation of this without any limits.
00:19:18He said, "No. This verse did not comfort me."
00:19:22That's when it's the same thing again.
00:19:24Oh Ibadiyal lezîne esrafû alâ enfusihim.
00:19:27O my servants, who have sinned without limit, who have plunged into sin.
00:19:33Do not despair of the mercy of Allah.
00:19:36She felt relieved when he arrived.
00:19:38That's why Professor Mustafa is from the USA.
00:19:41I watched one of your programs recently.
00:19:43I watch your entire program.
00:19:44For example, one of our teachers there was talking about Khidr (peace be upon him),
00:19:49فَيْوَجَدَ عَبْدًا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا
00:19:51عَبْدًا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا
00:19:53When we say "one of our servants,"
00:19:54The other one was a prophet, he said, but this one was just an ordinary servant.
00:19:59That's not true.
00:20:00The Prophet Khidr was also on it.
00:20:03That word "USA" refers to it.
00:20:05For him,
00:20:06وَاَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا
00:20:07If you do not first accept عَبْدُهُوا,
00:20:09You are not Muslim.
00:20:12Well,
00:20:12وَاَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُهُ دَيْلِ
00:20:15وَاَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ
00:20:18Thanks, sir.
00:20:20Then we understand that,
00:20:22Servitude, truly as an attribute,
00:20:24the highest authority in terms of naming,
00:20:27The most beautiful name.
00:20:29Isn't it?
00:20:29There's nothing beyond that.
00:20:31Professor, I would like to turn to Ms. Leyla.
00:20:35You, as the Şule Yüksel Şenler Foundation,
00:20:40as president there,
00:20:41You serve as the head of the trusteeship.
00:20:44And of course,
00:20:44our civil society organizations,
00:20:46only as an organization,
00:20:49to keep a name alive and for no other purposes,
00:20:53to create value,
00:20:54to add value to people,
00:20:56They are being established to serve in this field.
00:20:58Of course, Ms. Şule also has an influence on young people,
00:21:02with the works he wrote,
00:21:03It has a huge impact on us.
00:21:05He has contributed, he has put in the effort.
00:21:06Instill in us the consciousness of servitude,
00:21:08Being a Muslim,
00:21:09He tried to instill this awareness, and he succeeded.
00:21:13What kind of activities do you do in this regard?
00:21:17Yes.
00:21:18First of all, regarding this matter of servitude,
00:21:21Perhaps we should remember something Şule Abla said.
00:21:23Freedom is obeying the divine law, he said.
00:21:27He used this as a headline in his articles,
00:21:29He brought it up.
00:21:31As you said, sir,
00:21:32In other words, simply believing in God,
00:21:34to make an effort for it,
00:21:36to gain his/her consent,
00:21:39When you worship Him,
00:21:40You are actually gaining the greatest freedom.
00:21:43Şule Hanım has built her life around this as well.
00:21:47And of course, he got into a struggle.
00:21:50But also as slaves,
00:21:53In order to be a good servant of God,
00:21:55To set a good example,
00:21:56He made a very serious effort.
00:21:57One of the main goals of our foundation is, in fact,
00:22:01as an individual, as a human being,
00:22:03even on your own,
00:22:06You can tell the truth,
00:22:07You can shout the truth and spread the truth,
00:22:11Even if you are alone,
00:22:12You can accomplish many things.
00:22:14Sister Şule did this.
00:22:15So, to young people too,
00:22:17nowadays, actually,
00:22:19My teacher just said it,
00:22:20So when you look at the world,
00:22:22War after war is being fought.
00:22:24For the past two days, we have been on the brink of a new war.
00:22:27We're watching, we're watching live.
00:22:29People are losing hope.
00:22:31Of course we are worried.
00:22:33But here's the thing,
00:22:34whatever happens,
00:22:36each of us as individuals,
00:22:37There is definitely something we can all do.
00:22:41Sister Şule also told this story.
00:22:42He's entered a battle all by himself.
00:22:44But it's a good example,
00:22:45a good Muslim,
00:22:46as a good servant,
00:22:47I'm alone,
00:22:50"I want to tell everyone my story," he said.
00:22:53And there is a hadith,
00:22:54If I'm not mistaken,
00:22:55I hope my teacher gets better too.
00:22:56So people,
00:22:58best friend,
00:22:59Who is the best friend?
00:23:02A reminder of God when you see it
00:23:05when you have a conversation,
00:23:07when you chat,
00:23:08that which increases your good deeds
00:23:10that which improves your behavior
00:23:13He said, "That person is your best friend."
00:23:15Our Prophet.
00:23:17I'm looking now,
00:23:18And into Şule Abla's life,
00:23:19He has actually taken this principle as an example for himself.
00:23:23When someone sees him,
00:23:24He wanted him to remember God.
00:23:26When he spoke, he reminded people of God.
00:23:28He invited people to Islam,
00:23:30He invited them to Islam.
00:23:32And he said,
00:23:33actually,
00:23:35as an intellectual,
00:23:37on an Islamic issue,
00:23:39ideas and thoughts,
00:23:41without hiding anything,
00:23:42without hiding,
00:23:43He wrote it very clearly and concisely.
00:23:45for example, himself
00:23:46even before appearing before the public,
00:23:48It started with his writings.
00:23:50When you put all of these together,
00:23:53as a civil society organization,
00:23:55Sister Şule has a legacy,
00:23:57Of course, we want to keep that legacy alive.
00:23:59His life,
00:24:01We can still see examples of this today.
00:24:03young people,
00:24:04We are trying to explain that we should all implement it.
00:24:07In other words, to create a role model.
00:24:09Yes, we are definitely trying to set a role model.
00:24:11As already a role model,
00:24:13Şule Hanım's life,
00:24:14In Turkey of the 1950s and 60s,
00:24:16alone,
00:24:17a more modestly veiled lady,
00:24:20walking in the streets,
00:24:21at a time when it is not possible
00:24:23She designed her own clothes.
00:24:25She designed the headscarf.
00:24:26And he said,
00:24:27As a Muslim woman,
00:24:28He said it could exist in society.
00:24:30He said he would fight for it.
00:24:32And he came out, he went out into the squares,
00:24:33He gave speeches,
00:24:34It has stirred up the masses.
00:24:36Also against many injustices,
00:24:39standing upright,
00:24:40He struggled.
00:24:41We share the same awareness,
00:24:42the same consciousness,
00:24:43fighting spirit,
00:24:45as human beings,
00:24:46as a servant,
00:24:47in this world, all of us,
00:24:48by setting a good example for each other,
00:24:50We are trying to remind people of our responsibilities.
00:24:52Yes, that's wonderful.
00:24:53May God be pleased with him.
00:24:55Amine.
00:24:56My teacher,
00:24:58Of course, what we call servitude,
00:25:00Our Lord,
00:25:02with everything we do,
00:25:04It emerges with a relevant assessment.
00:25:06So, only those who prostrate themselves before me,
00:25:10only those who fast,
00:25:12that is, people who perform certain religious practices,
00:25:15Is he sufficient as a servant in the eyes of God?
00:25:19Does he possess the capacity to be a servant?
00:25:21We need to understand this.
00:25:23Say what?
00:25:24Thanks.
00:25:25Professor Mustafa,
00:25:27The clearest sign of being a servant of God is prostration.
00:25:31Yes.
00:25:31the clearest sign,
00:25:33Its most distinctive feature is prostration.
00:25:35Let me put it this way.
00:25:39When God created Adam (peace be upon him),
00:25:42God Almighty,
00:25:43to the devil,
00:25:45He commanded her to prostrate herself before him.
00:25:48That's the word.
00:25:49Uscudu li âdeme,
00:25:51He said to the angels.
00:25:52But,
00:25:54Satan did not prostrate himself.
00:25:57God asked him the same question using the same word.
00:25:59He said,
00:26:00مَا مَنَعَكَ اَنْ تَسْجُدَهِ
00:26:03لِمَا خَلَقْتُ بِيَدَيَّ
00:26:05I designed it myself,
00:26:09I planned everything myself
00:26:11Why don't you prostrate yourself before a being?
00:26:18I will not prostrate myself before you,
00:26:20The word "prostration" is mentioned repeatedly.
00:26:21What is preventing you from prostrating yourself?
00:26:24What does Neme say?
00:26:26Yes.
00:26:26Why does this act of prostration bring you to this state?
00:26:34The devil said:
00:26:35قَالَا اَنَا خَيْرٌ مِنْهُ
00:26:38I am better than him.
00:26:42I'm better than him.
00:26:44I sometimes mention this in my speeches as well.
00:26:47For example, I might say,
00:26:48There is a word that is unbecoming of a believer.
00:26:50That doesn't suit you at all.
00:26:52If someone were to ask him/her.
00:26:54Here is Professor Mustafa, Professor Osman.
00:26:56They asked Osman Hoca.
00:26:58They said,
00:26:58Which one of you is the better teacher?
00:27:00If Osman Hoca were to say,
00:27:01I am a better teacher.
00:27:03He is a friend of the devil.
00:27:06That's why God Almighty says at the beginning of the Holy Quran:
00:27:10اَنَا خَيْرٌ مِنْهُ
00:27:11It continues.
00:27:12But why?
00:27:13He says,
00:27:14خَلَقْتَنِي مِنْ نَارٍ
00:27:16You created me from fire
00:27:19وَخَلَقْتَهُ مِنْ تِينٍ
00:27:21You created him from earth too.
00:27:24The devil has made up his mind.
00:27:25What has the devil decided?
00:27:27He formulated a proposition.
00:27:28Fire,
00:27:30It is superior to the earth.
00:27:32It is more valuable.
00:27:33But is this statement true?
00:27:35This is the devil's suggestion.
00:27:37This statement is incorrect.
00:27:38But he continued on after that,
00:27:40gone.
00:27:41He did other things later,
00:27:42etc.
00:27:43Now, I'd like to get to this point, Professor Mustafa.
00:27:45When we talk about the consciousness of servitude,
00:27:48Of course, all the qualities of a believer,
00:27:51The qualities he should possess are within him.
00:27:54Being honest,
00:27:56being moral,
00:27:57being virtuous
00:27:58the pursuit of knowledge,
00:28:00being compassionate,
00:28:02being fair,
00:28:03being tolerant,
00:28:05being modest,
00:28:06all of these...
00:28:07He/She should also be hardworking.
00:28:09Being hardworking.
00:28:10You can bring many beautiful things here.
00:28:13But before all that, the way to understand whether a believer is a servant of God is through prostration.
00:28:21In other words, it is prayer.
00:28:24Nowadays, sometimes we do things like this.
00:28:27For example, it's always in human nature,
00:28:30So, we can say that this is a natural impulse.
00:28:33You know, to be great,
00:28:35to be valuable,
00:28:36I don't know, diving into such knowledge...
00:28:38being able to interpret everything,
00:28:41to be able to reveal the background of everything,
00:28:43This creates a comfort zone for this person.
00:28:46But regarding this matter of being a servant,
00:28:49I think God doesn't quite approve of this perspective of ours.
00:28:54Inspired by verses from the Quran.
00:28:56For example, in the Quran,
00:28:59this prayer,
00:29:01Look at the people who followed their prophets.
00:29:03Professor Mustafa,
00:29:04those who believe in the prophets
00:29:06believe in the first instance,
00:29:07They are ordinary people in society.
00:29:10Like this,
00:29:11Sir, position, rank, wealth, fame, etc., power,
00:29:17They do not believe.
00:29:18Those who believe.
00:29:19Also,
00:29:20while believing in the prophet,
00:29:22They don't say this,
00:29:23So we'll believe you, but go ahead and explain.
00:29:26Not.
00:29:27He sees our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him),
00:29:30God Almighty also gave him that,
00:29:32you know, worship, faith,
00:29:34It is a blessing for humanity,
00:29:35It is a blessing.
00:29:36And in a verse of the Holy Quran,
00:29:39If I'm not mistaken,
00:29:40In a verse from the Surah Al-An'am,
00:29:42Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) received the following warning.
00:29:45Professor Mustafa says,
00:29:46God Almighty,
00:29:47وَلَا تَطْرُدِ الَّذ۪ينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُمْ بِالْغَدَاتِ وَالْعَشِيِّ يُر۪يدُونَ وَجْهَا
00:29:53My teacher,
00:29:54the meaning of this verse,
00:29:57Let's listen to the voice of our street.
00:29:59Then,
00:29:59Please, I beg your pardon.
00:30:01We have a street interview.
00:30:03Let's go to Samsun.
00:30:04Let's see what happens in Samsun.
00:30:06How do citizens interpret the atmosphere of Ramadan?
00:30:17Sir, the consciousness of servitude to God,
00:30:20Obeying God's commands and prohibitions,
00:30:23to be moral,
00:30:25truth,
00:30:27honesty,
00:30:28respect,
00:30:30love,
00:30:31tolerance,
00:30:32being humble,
00:30:34that's the right thing for me.
00:30:36A believer, male or female
00:30:38Knowing God
00:30:40and by obeying God's commands,
00:30:43commands and prohibitions
00:30:44properly
00:30:45It means planning one's daily life around it.
00:30:51It is about paying attention to what is permissible and what is forbidden.
00:30:53Of course, fasting,
00:30:54to the person,
00:30:56so more to yourself,
00:30:58towards returning to one's roots
00:31:00It creates an infrastructure for humanity.
00:31:04This fast,
00:31:05It actually strengthens a person's sense of servitude to God.
00:31:08It supports it.
00:31:09Now, when I say you should know your duty,
00:31:13our duties to our Creator
00:31:16It's been on our minds to fulfill this for years.
00:31:18For example, what is this?
00:31:20To perform prayer,
00:31:22giving rak'ahs
00:31:22fasting,
00:31:25to live a clean life,
00:31:28To be helpful to those around you.
00:31:30Our Creator,
00:31:32He created it for this purpose.
00:31:33The right person,
00:31:34being a true Muslim,
00:31:35One must be true to one's word before God.
00:31:39In all our situations,
00:31:40in every stance we take,
00:31:41in our behavior.
00:31:42Can we always do this?
00:31:45It depends on the situation.
00:31:46according to the events,
00:31:47Sometimes it varies like this,
00:31:48consciousness of servitude.
00:31:49If a person is on the right path,
00:31:51Until the effect of Ramadan is felt,
00:31:53I will benefit more from it,
00:31:54He looks at her.
00:31:55Or,
00:31:56I'll go to the mosque during Ramadan,
00:31:58I will perform acts of worship during Ramadan.
00:32:00If I say I won't do it in the following days
00:32:02It varies a bit.
00:32:09Yes sir,
00:32:10With these wonderful comments from Samsun,
00:32:13We continue our conversation in our studio.
00:32:15Professor, what do you say?
00:32:16Thank you, Professor Mustafa.
00:32:17The first sentence I will say is this:
00:32:19The street told the story better than we did.
00:32:20Well done.
00:32:21Obeying God's commands.
00:32:23Look, the last speaker, our teacher Mustafa, said:
00:32:27I perform my religious duties during Ramadan.
00:32:29But after Ramadan.
00:32:31This,
00:32:32in the thing,
00:32:33The most important thing in worship is,
00:32:35To connect in a way that leaves a mark,
00:32:38and constant connection,
00:32:40It exists in the very meaning of the word.
00:32:42Constant connection.
00:32:44We're missing out on something.
00:32:46Let's think of it this way,
00:32:47Imagine a Muslim, for example.
00:32:50Intellectual,
00:32:51He gives meaning to everything he does.
00:32:53He speaks scientifically.
00:32:56Sir,
00:32:57He explains God's messages very well.
00:33:00And so on, and so forth.
00:33:01But he doesn't pray.
00:33:03Think of another believer.
00:33:05He knows nothing about the background of these things.
00:33:08But he worships God.
00:33:10Tell him/her that,
00:33:12Uncle Hacı,
00:33:12worshiping in this morning prayer
00:33:15meaning,
00:33:16What does it mean?
00:33:17What benefits does this bring you?
00:33:19He says,
00:33:20my son,
00:33:20I don't know.
00:33:22Allah,
00:33:23Sir,
00:33:23do it, he said
00:33:24He ordered,
00:33:25I do it too.
00:33:27We have a task ahead of us, Professor Mustafa.
00:33:29As managers,
00:33:31Yes sir,
00:33:33As religious leaders.
00:33:34Well,
00:33:35the responsibility we undertake,
00:33:36whatever our job may be,
00:33:38here is one,
00:33:39In that verse I read to us,
00:33:41God gave us this,
00:33:42very clearly,
00:33:43Through our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him),
00:33:45He also gave us a warning.
00:33:47Let's imagine ourselves as imams.
00:33:49I served as an imam for many years.
00:33:51The mosque too,
00:33:53When you come to pray with the congregation,
00:33:55for example,
00:33:57when a member of parliament arrives
00:33:59When a governor arrives,
00:34:01Sir,
00:34:01a judge,
00:34:02When a prosecutor arrives
00:34:03When a university professor arrives,
00:34:06My attitudes towards him,
00:34:08And also a poor fellow,
00:34:09When Uncle Ahmet arrived,
00:34:10My attitude towards him.
00:34:11My role as a teacher will emerge there.
00:34:13Am I not a servant of God?
00:34:15Or,
00:34:16To whom am I a slave?
00:34:18For him,
00:34:19In the Quran,
00:34:19God says,
00:34:20with that verse I read,
00:34:21After Enam,
00:34:22If I'm not mistaken,
00:34:22Verse 53,
00:34:24وَلَا تَطْرُدِ الَّذ۪ينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُمْ
00:34:27بِالْغَدَاتِ وَالْعَشِيِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَهِ
00:34:29Morning and evening,
00:34:31worshippers of God alone
00:34:34A person who prays to God,
00:34:37He knows nothing else.
00:34:39"Do not drive them away," says Muhammad.
00:34:42Never look down on them.
00:34:46مَا عَلَيْكَ مِنْ حَسَابِهِمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ
00:34:48You're not going to be the one to answer to them.
00:34:51وَمَا مِنْ حَسَابِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ
00:34:53He's not going to give them an account of you either.
00:34:57فَتَطْرُدَهُمْ
00:34:57If you look at them as something simple, ordinary, or pathetic,
00:35:04فَتَطْرُدَهُمْ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
00:35:06Gee.
00:35:08Teacher, the continuation of the verse is so striking...
00:35:11So, I'm looking into it today,
00:35:13When we talk about the consciousness of servitude to God,
00:35:15adopting such an intellectual air,
00:35:17as if it could do everything,
00:35:19able to interpret everything,
00:35:21By adopting an attitude that suggests you can overcome anything, sir,
00:35:25you know, to say something different,
00:35:28Teacher, tell me something that...
00:35:30Let me hear it from you for the first time, and let it be as if no one else has ever told me.
00:35:36She's charming, but she doesn't say it.
00:35:38God says,
00:35:39وَكَذَٰلِكَ فَتَنَّا بَعْضَهُمْ بِبَعْطٍ
00:35:42We have tested some of you with others.
00:35:47لِيَقُولُوا اَهَا أُولَاءِ مَنَّ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِمٓ بَيْنِنَا
00:35:51So you look at something like this,
00:35:53to the people who come to that mosque
00:35:55to the people who followed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
00:35:58So, is that it?
00:35:59Look, we're experiencing this again today.
00:36:01So, is that it?
00:36:03There's even a chapter of the Quran called Abese.
00:36:05God Almighty expresses this very beautifully in that chapter as well.
00:36:08It warns us specifically through the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
00:36:12One of them wants to learn something.
00:36:13He wants to know his Lord.
00:36:15The other one is after something else.
00:36:18But our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says:
00:36:20Maybe, maybe, I mean,
00:36:23But he says no,
00:36:25He wanted to cleanse himself.
00:36:27There are many verses in the Quran related to this.
00:36:32For example, if I'm not mistaken, again,
00:36:36Teacher, there is a verse in Surah Al-Kahf.
00:36:38وَاسْبِرْ نَفْسَكَ مَعَلَّذ۪ينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُمْ بِالْغَدَاتِ وَالْعَشِيِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَشَهُ
00:36:43Morning and evening,
00:36:46Those who follow you in order to gain God's pleasure,
00:36:50That's a very interesting expression.
00:36:52Be patient with them.
00:36:54Yes.
00:36:55I remember his years as an imam.
00:36:56Look, who does an imam get the most trouble from?
00:36:59He was one of the regulars at the mosque.
00:37:02We will be patient with them.
00:37:04We will win their hearts.
00:37:06Servitude actually teaches us this.
00:37:08Don't misunderstand me, sir.
00:37:09He doesn't feel bothered by the congregation that comes,
00:37:12Probably because of some of his behavior, right?
00:37:14He's saying the same thing,
00:37:15He's already telling them to be patient.
00:37:16What is he telling me to be patient about?
00:37:17Look, he's coming towards her.
00:37:18This is what I say, Professor Mustafa,
00:37:20If a person submits to God,
00:37:24if he is prostrating
00:37:26If he has such a vein,
00:37:29If he/she has such a belief,
00:37:31After that, the rest is your job.
00:37:34For example, let me give you an example:
00:37:35I'm very sorry, I'm ending this.
00:37:36For example, a person,
00:37:38During Ramadan,
00:37:39these people of ours,
00:37:40There's a scene like this in the middle of all this,
00:37:42Professor Leyla,
00:37:43When the month of Ramadan arrives,
00:37:44People are fasting.
00:37:47But they don't perform their prayers.
00:37:50After the month of Ramadan ends,
00:37:52He is starting again in the sins he had abandoned.
00:37:55As a religious leader, whom am I blaming here?
00:37:58I blame those people.
00:37:59This won't do, brother, and so on and so forth.
00:38:01But the sentence I should have said, Professor Mustafa, is this.
00:38:05These people fast for a month.
00:38:09Leave aside what is forbidden.
00:38:10They are distancing themselves from what is permissible (halal).
00:38:13His favorite food is right in front of him.
00:38:16Her favorite tea is sitting right in front of her.
00:38:19The cigarette he's addicted to is in his pocket.
00:38:22But he doesn't touch her.
00:38:24What does this mean?
00:38:25This has a belief in God.
00:38:27There is a fear of God within them.
00:38:30If you are the teacher,
00:38:32If I am the teacher,
00:38:34Sir, you will manage it from here.
00:38:36Then you will also teach him how to pray.
00:38:39The deficiency, flaw, imperfection here,
00:38:42not our people,
00:38:43They belong to teachers like me.
00:38:45Thanks, sir.
00:38:46This turned out to be a form of self-criticism.
00:38:47Hallelujah.
00:38:48Hopefully it will be helpful.
00:38:50Mrs. Leyla,
00:38:51Of course, these events of ours,
00:38:55that is, our civil society organizations,
00:38:57It is truly very important in the education of our society.
00:39:01Both in terms of their spiritual education,
00:39:03In terms of values education.
00:39:05Of course, to them,
00:39:07Şule Yüksel Şenler Foundation,
00:39:09We also try to raise awareness through values.
00:39:13and in terms of spreading individual awareness to society,
00:39:16What kinds of activities do you do?
00:39:19Actually, it's like this:
00:39:21I'd like to add something to where my professor left off.
00:39:23Sister Şule is also a person who has experienced change and transformation in her life.
00:39:26So, at one point it was different,
00:39:28that is, while her clothes and attire were different,
00:39:30It is undergoing a change, a transformation.
00:39:31And she is a woman wearing a headscarf.
00:39:34But by staying home,
00:39:36He is the only one who performs his religious duties alone,
00:39:38staying home,
00:39:39He hasn't withdrawn into seclusion.
00:39:41He said,
00:39:42If I have experienced this change and transformation,
00:39:44coming before the public,
00:39:45He said he was responsible for conveying the message for this change and transformation.
00:39:48"I should invite them," he said.
00:39:50After all, one meaning of solitude is...
00:39:50I apologize, Professor Leyla.
00:39:52One meaning of seclusion is,
00:39:55It is about going out into society.
00:39:56So, yes.
00:39:57It's about mingling with people.
00:39:58It is about interfering.
00:39:59Of course.
00:39:59Beautiful.
00:40:00Ms. Şule did this.
00:40:01That's why we have it,
00:40:02Sister Şule has an appeal to make,
00:40:04He actually has an invitation for people.
00:40:06We want to announce this call and invitation.
00:40:08For him, both at our foundation center,
00:40:10We have a large library.
00:40:12We're having library talks.
00:40:14Regularly, every 15 days.
00:40:15We are inviting distinguished guests.
00:40:17Our doors are open to anyone interested in these names.
00:40:20Our friends are coming.
00:40:22Anyone who wants to can come, listen, and benefit.
00:40:24We have regular workshops.
00:40:26These,
00:40:27From the Fashion Design Workshop,
00:40:28From the sewing workshop onwards.
00:40:30To the Technology Workshop,
00:40:32Hold on to the Erbani Workshop.
00:40:34Our goal with these workshops, which can attract people's interest in many different fields, is...
00:40:40Let some people walk through that door,
00:40:42They should get to know Şule Abla.
00:40:43Who is this person?
00:40:45What has he done?
00:40:45For whom was such a foundation established?
00:40:48We want to plant a question mark in their minds and hearts from this, and extend that invitation to them as well.
00:40:56Apart from that, we especially...
00:40:59Yes, Şule Abla is a writer herself, a thinker, an intellectual.
00:41:07We're not exactly a humanitarian aid foundation, but we consider it our duty to extend a helping hand to people, taking his life as a model.
00:41:15On this occasion, I would like to especially mention the earthquake zone, in our 11 provinces,
00:41:19When the earthquake struck, we went there like everyone else, we extended a helping hand to see what we could do, we tried to be of assistance.
00:41:26After that, we established workshops in earthquake-affected areas, in container cities, and in towns.
00:41:33We established sewing workshops, we established hairdressing workshops so that people, especially women, who had nothing left in their hands, could live.
00:41:40There, they learned to socialize again, to come together, and those who didn't know anything about it learned a profession.
00:41:47This is a very important study based on the principle of appropriateness.
00:41:51Yes, and now these workshops of ours have been replaced by buildings, housing projects have been completed, and people are moving into their homes.
00:41:57We also bought the apartments we could find in the lower levels of the TOKI housing projects.
00:42:01We signed a protocol with TOKI and moved the same workshops there.
00:42:05Our goal now is to enable the women who receive training in these workshops to obtain their certificates and establish their own businesses.
00:42:14This includes projects such as rent support, equipment support, machinery support, and material support, enabling women to regain their skills.
00:42:24Actually, people are emerging from the problems experienced in that region, in that geography.
00:42:27both to be an example of struggle like the one Şule sister waged, and to enable them to stand on their own two feet individually,
00:42:34We are implementing this project to help them both recover and stand on their own feet.
00:42:38Ramadan is a blessed month.
00:42:40Of course, this is a month in which we all, especially believers, give our zakat (charity) and have an opportunity to distribute it to those in need.
00:42:49We have also taken this opportunity to prepare and distribute Ramadan food packages to families in need.
00:42:54We knock on their doors, introduce Şule, and say, "Look, this is a foundation, a name, and the president of this foundation is actually our honorary president."
00:43:02Mrs. Emine Erdoğan.
00:43:04With the greetings of the lady in question, we would like to both meet their needs and send them brochures introducing our foundation.
00:43:11We meet many people who knew Şule.
00:43:13He has touched so many lives, touched so many people, that he has traveled to almost every province in Türkiye, given conferences, and visited villages.
00:43:22Despite the limitations of that time and the extremely difficult transportation conditions, he traveled from village to village, his only concern being to tell people the truth.
00:43:31So, when we talk about living through difficult times, she is a strong woman who lived through difficult times and tried to spread her values and beliefs to all segments of society.
00:43:44He has character.
00:43:45Yes, when we look at our own community, strong female characters haven't been easily found in our time.
00:43:55Yes, it existed in the Ottoman Empire; there were sultans, sultan mothers, wives, and very powerful figures whose names are associated with charitable foundations.
00:44:03In fact, we need to keep these names alive and introduce them to young people more in our time.
00:44:08These people, even alone, waged a great struggle and achieved great successes.
00:44:14Last year, at the United Nations and at the Atatürk Cultural Center in Istanbul, we compared the lives of Malcolm X and Şule Hanım.
00:44:25We created an exhibition that tells the story of their struggles.
00:44:30We held an exhibition called "Echoes".
00:44:31It attracted a lot of attention at the United Nations, and it also attracted a lot of attention in Istanbul.
00:44:35We will of course continue the exhibition in different cities.
00:44:38But the point is, they lived in almost the same years, the 1950s and 60s.
00:44:43One of them is a Black man, a young man, on the other side of the world, on another continent.
00:44:50Ms. Şule was living in Türkiye during the same years.
00:44:55They've both gotten involved in a struggle.
00:44:57Both are individuals who dedicated their lives to bringing about change and transformation in society.
00:45:02They delivered the same calls to different people at different times and in different places.
00:45:08They have mobilized the masses.
00:45:10From this perspective, I believe that introducing and explaining these names to our youth, and ensuring they are known as our values, is very valuable and meaningful.
00:45:20Of course, that's wonderful.
00:45:21We shouldn't underestimate even one person.
00:45:24One person is many people.
00:45:25Now, sir, of course, many obstacles come our way while we are performing our duties.
00:45:33Perhaps that's the secret of the test.
00:45:36So, the problems we experience within ourselves, our internal struggles, and beyond that, the struggles we face in life.
00:45:45What do I mean?
00:45:47We have responsibilities.
00:45:48We have responsibilities towards God.
00:45:51We have responsibilities towards our families.
00:45:54We have responsibilities to ourselves.
00:45:56And conflicts sometimes arise within these groups.
00:46:00So we are faced with a situation where we have to choose one, or rather, prefer one over the other.
00:46:05Of course, God's will and command are above everything.
00:46:10But these conflicts sometimes manifest themselves in employer-employee relationships.
00:46:15Sometimes in other settings.
00:46:17Say what?
00:46:17So how can we overcome these conflicts in terms of servitude to God?
00:46:21Children are even causing conflicts within families now.
00:46:24Yes.
00:46:25Now, sir, when we say "servant of God," we will see two actions, two types of actions, in those servants.
00:46:31One of them is his relationship with God.
00:46:34If a servant of God maintains a close relationship with his Lord but neglects humanity, then his servitude is incomplete.
00:46:45A servant of God is again exceptionally kind and good in his dealings with people.
00:46:52But their relationship with God is not close.
00:46:58Still missing.
00:46:59These things shouldn't be done like this.
00:47:01To show someone their worth, one must not belittle another.
00:47:08We often make those kinds of mistakes.
00:47:10When we try to describe the value, beauty, goodness, or truth of something,
00:47:16On the other hand, we are belittling another value, making it seem worthless.
00:47:21For example, let me give you an example from the work we do ourselves.
00:47:23Let's say we're going to talk about the beauty of Ramadan, and the beauty of fasting during Ramadan.
00:47:30You don't need to explain this through another form of worship.
00:47:34For example, our professor says, he says, sir...
00:47:37The word "taqwa" (piety) was used by God Almighty only for fasting.
00:47:43Look, this hasn't been used for prayer.
00:47:45Then there's no need to go in there.
00:47:49It is the same in this form of worship as well.
00:47:51There are two paths to servitude.
00:47:52First, our relationship with God, that is, our acts of worship.
00:47:58Now, here's the point we're missing, Professor Mustafa.
00:48:01I now have a responsibility towards my teacher, Leyla.
00:48:04So I would also like to have his consent.
00:48:07I also have a responsibility towards my teacher, Mustafa.
00:48:10I wish she loved me too.
00:48:12I want to win her heart too.
00:48:14Sir, I need to win over my producer's heart.
00:48:16I want to win over my boss.
00:48:18These are beautiful.
00:48:19It's wonderful to win someone's heart and gain their affection.
00:48:23But here's the critical point.
00:48:26While trying to please my teacher Leyla, while trying to get her approval,
00:48:31If I am losing the Lord's favor, then that is not right.
00:48:35He has no comment.
00:48:37He has no comment.
00:48:39Example.
00:48:39Sir, on Friday.
00:48:43Friday arrived.
00:48:44The Friday call to prayer has begun.
00:48:46Boss, sir, is at work.
00:48:49If I go to Friday prayers, and if he looks for me and can't find me,
00:48:55Then I'll skip Friday prayers.
00:48:58That's not true.
00:49:01That's completely untrue.
00:49:03Here's another example, sir.
00:49:06I'm sitting in my room.
00:49:07First, imagine that I am the manager.
00:49:10A very high-ranking official arrived.
00:49:12Let's give an example from the highest level.
00:49:14We are sitting.
00:49:16Someone was coming to visit.
00:49:18I haven't even prayed my prayers.
00:49:21Sir,
00:49:21We're heading towards the afternoon.
00:49:24Our President has arrived.
00:49:26Can I say this?
00:49:28Let me just do my prayer first.
00:49:30So he doesn't come here regularly.
00:49:32Just in case.
00:49:33It's afternoon now,
00:49:34Our teachers will step in again.
00:49:36You combine it with the afternoon prayer, sir.
00:49:38no problem.
00:49:39We can solve everything.
00:49:41Still not there.
00:49:42He also said that it is necessary.
00:49:44A Muslim, a believer.
00:49:45Sir,
00:49:46I haven't performed my prayers.
00:49:48My responsibility to God,
00:49:50I did not fulfill my responsibility.
00:49:51He doesn't need to provide so much interpretation.
00:49:54Sir, I will stay home after my prayer.
00:49:56If after doing that there,
00:49:58any from the other side
00:50:00if they are subjected to injustice,
00:50:03My teacher shouldn't be afraid at all.
00:50:05It won't be more than thirty or forty years.
00:50:07Then he relaxes.
00:50:09People generally,
00:50:11They are making short-term plans and programs.
00:50:14What he doesn't have,
00:50:15I'm trying to invest in something temporary,
00:50:18He is losing what is permanent.
00:50:20This is what I say there.
00:50:21If we,
00:50:23this sensitivity of ours,
00:50:24in a very nice way,
00:50:27If we were to describe our boss,
00:50:28or when starting a job,
00:50:30Sir, I attend Friday prayers.
00:50:32But then,
00:50:33You know how we talk about Muslim sense of responsibility?
00:50:36That is also a point of servitude.
00:50:37Being aware of one's responsibility towards God,
00:50:40and being aware of one's responsibility towards people.
00:50:42Look, I am the one who prays.
00:50:44moral,
00:50:45This is what I expect from a worker who is conscious of his servitude.
00:50:49I would say,
00:50:50Professor Mustafa, you are my boss, so I've come here.
00:50:52I am on Fridays,
00:50:53I go to Friday prayers.
00:50:54This is about half an hour,
00:50:56It takes an hour.
00:50:57But that day,
00:50:58I'll work two extra hours for you.
00:51:01I want to perform my prayers.
00:51:04Like this,
00:51:05well,
00:51:06He is doing this,
00:51:07But he uses it as an escape route.
00:51:09That's not true.
00:51:10Well,
00:51:11both the boss's rights,
00:51:13both his own right,
00:51:14And also the right of God.
00:51:16The right of God.
00:51:16Yes,
00:51:17my teacher,
00:51:18The iftar process is moving so fast.
00:51:20For Ankara,
00:51:21We have 15 seconds left until iftar.
00:51:25Gee.
00:51:25They too sat down at their table,
00:51:27They opened their hands,
00:51:28They are praying and,
00:51:29Perhaps right away,
00:51:32to the water,
00:51:32to reach for the date,
00:51:34They are waiting at the head of the table.
00:51:36Sir,
00:51:37May God accept your fasting.
00:51:40Amine.
00:51:40For Ankara,
00:51:41Iftar time.
00:51:44We say amen.
00:51:45thousands of times,
00:51:46to this beautiful prayer,
00:51:48my teacher.
00:51:49My teacher,
00:51:51of course,
00:51:51There's always a modern concept involved.
00:51:54The things that revolve around us,
00:51:56modern age,
00:51:57brought about by the modern world
00:51:59a team of its own,
00:52:01positive or negative,
00:52:03We are talking about the aspects that affect us.
00:52:06From the perspective of our servitude as well,
00:52:07To be a slave in modern times,
00:52:09If we were to define it like this, for example,
00:52:12related to this,
00:52:13the problems we are experiencing
00:52:15How is overcoming this possible?
00:52:16How do we overcome this?
00:52:17Because really,
00:52:19We are living in a fast-paced era.
00:52:21Time passes so quickly.
00:52:22we couldn't catch up with
00:52:23we couldn't grow,
00:52:24There are so many things,
00:52:26And let's not forget God in the meantime.
00:52:28In order to fulfill our servitude to Him,
00:52:30We are going through a serious process.
00:52:33Say what?
00:52:34As a servant,
00:52:35Professor Mustafa,
00:52:36all these troubles,
00:52:37We can overcome this by being servants of God.
00:52:38Your response to my question was far too brief.
00:52:41So God,
00:52:42وَمَا اُمِرُوا اِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُ اللّٰهَ مُخْلِص۪ينْ الدِّينِ
00:52:48Religion by sincerely turning to Him,
00:52:52Turning to Him,
00:52:53Knowing Him,
00:52:54By accepting Him as the absolute being,
00:52:57by considering it indispensable,
00:52:59It is to obey the commanded things.
00:53:02Servitude,
00:53:03Obeying God's commands,
00:53:04Avoiding what God has forbidden.
00:53:06Servitude,
00:53:07When we receive a blessing,
00:53:10Thinking about giving charity with gratitude.
00:53:13The moment you reunite,
00:53:14I also had these shortcomings,
00:53:16Not to them either.
00:53:17A servant is such a servant that...
00:53:18God bestowed a blessing upon him,
00:53:20When he bestows that blessing
00:53:21when he/she receives the blessing,
00:53:23He thinks about charity.
00:53:25A servant is such a being that,
00:53:27God was in that state of helplessness.
00:53:30She was weak.
00:53:31He became strong.
00:53:33When it gains power,
00:53:35when it gains power,
00:53:36He will be just.
00:53:38He shows mercy.
00:53:41They did this and that to me,
00:53:43He doesn't say, "I'll do those things too."
00:53:44Ash,
00:53:45when faced with a calamity,
00:53:48First, he tries to solve that problem,
00:53:50If he can't solve it, he'll be patient.
00:53:53Professor Mustafa.
00:53:55Yes.
00:53:56It focuses on a single point.
00:53:59What is that point?
00:54:00God's pleasure,
00:54:02The pleasure of our Lord.
00:54:03There is a verse in the Surah Yasin,
00:54:05I love it!
00:54:06I love all the verses, though.
00:54:08There's a man there,
00:54:10A man who came running from the other end of the city.
00:54:12A believer should be someone who suffers.
00:54:14A believer,
00:54:15in any environment,
00:54:18people's problems,
00:54:20your troubles,
00:54:22He should worry about it.
00:54:24He should be able to see them before his own problems.
00:54:26The man who came running from the other end of the city,
00:54:29He says the following.
00:54:30They tell him,
00:54:31So what is the point of all this?
00:54:33You are performing prayers,
00:54:34So you are fasting,
00:54:35What's the point?
00:54:36What do you earn?
00:54:38He replies as follows...
00:54:40Professor Mustafa says,
00:54:45He is the one who created me.
00:54:48I'll come back to him again.
00:54:50I will not serve him either,
00:54:53I will not worship him either,
00:54:55Whom shall I worship?
00:54:57And to this man,
00:54:58at the end of the day,
00:54:59at the end of his/her life,
00:55:01This is what is said, Professor Mustafa.
00:55:02So beautiful,
00:55:03He empathizes with people's problems,
00:55:05It is said to him that,
00:55:08Well done!
00:55:10You deserve to enter paradise.
00:55:12Come in.
00:55:14So what do we say?
00:55:15If someone were to say that to me,
00:55:16If someone were to tell us that,
00:55:18Oh, my servant Leyla,
00:55:19Osman, my servant,
00:55:19You deserve paradise.
00:55:20Dense,
00:55:21I, Osman, would say this:
00:55:23Thank you, Lord.
00:55:25I achieved my goal.
00:55:27What is he saying?
00:55:29What does that man, who has this problem, say?
00:55:31He said, "He said to Paradise..."
00:55:33Oh, my people, oh worlds!
00:55:36He still doesn't realize he's gone to the afterlife.
00:55:39His mind is in this world,
00:55:41He is concerned about the people who have been involved in those problems.
00:55:44I wish my people too,
00:55:46I wish people too,
00:55:47If only they understood this truth.
00:55:50Der.
00:55:51What a wonderful point we've reached.
00:55:53Mrs. Leyla,
00:55:54empathize with the problems of this society,
00:55:58in terms of raising their awareness,
00:56:01and in terms of raising awareness among our youth,
00:56:05What kinds of activities do you do?
00:56:09Yes,
00:56:10Being a troubled person is a different matter.
00:56:12It naturally brings a different kind of responsibility to a person.
00:56:14For that reason,
00:56:16And when I look at Ms. Şule's life,
00:56:18In fact, he worried about many things, and
00:56:21but he got involved in the struggle,
00:56:23As I said at the beginning,
00:56:24So he didn't say, "What can I do on my own?"
00:56:26He got involved in a very serious struggle and he described it.
00:56:29Look, we're talking about him here today.
00:56:31Although years have passed,
00:56:33He passed away.
00:56:35To young people as well, actually,
00:56:36by giving an example from his life,
00:56:38But in the modern age, of course,
00:56:40There are also a number of other distractors,
00:56:43Of course there are.
00:56:44People,
00:56:45Here's the good deed I did:
00:56:47This definitely has a consequence.
00:56:49Of course there are.
00:56:50Well,
00:56:51To be a servant of God, one only needs to do one good deed.
00:56:53to smile,
00:56:54Remembering and mentioning God,
00:56:56Of course it's sufficient, but...
00:56:58to make something permanent,
00:57:00As my professor said,
00:57:01So if you don't do something regularly,
00:57:02just perhaps to share on a social media platform,
00:57:07If you are taking a photo or doing something for the moment,
00:57:11That's how much happiness he gets.
00:57:14Then to seek another kind of happiness,
00:57:16People are trying to find another kind of satisfaction.
00:57:18And we say to young people,
00:57:20Look,
00:57:21person,
00:57:22If someone calls themselves a human, then they are a human.
00:57:24He should read himself.
00:57:26Yes.
00:57:26Sister Şule said this:
00:57:27Oh, you who consider yourself human,
00:57:29He told himself to read.
00:57:31Reading ourselves,
00:57:33Knowing ourselves.
00:57:34For this,
00:57:35As I said at the beginning,
00:57:37both books,
00:57:38Apart from our trade fairs,
00:57:40We provide services in the foundation building.
00:57:41But,
00:57:42both in Istanbul,
00:57:44usually,
00:57:44and in Anatolia,
00:57:46In every region of Türkiye,
00:57:48We organize book and culture days.
00:57:49Thanks.
00:57:49During our book and culture days, we both,
00:57:51our youth,
00:57:52We bring everyone together with books.
00:57:54and our esteemed teachers,
00:57:56our esteemed authors,
00:57:57our poets,
00:57:59our teachers,
00:58:00We bring most of them together with young people.
00:58:02We hold book signing events.
00:58:03We organize book reading days,
00:58:05We hold question and answer sessions.
00:58:07I actually see a lot of interest.
00:58:09People,
00:58:10Open these kinds of things.
00:58:12He wants it,
00:58:13He wants to learn things,
00:58:14He wants to hear it.
00:58:16He wants to understand,
00:58:16He wants to apply it in his life as well.
00:58:18Our responsibility is,
00:58:20as civil society organizations,
00:58:21I think it's about facilitating these things.
00:58:23To increase these opportunities and to utilize these opportunities,
00:58:25To make it accessible to everyone.
00:58:27That's our goal.
00:58:30If there is an opportunity,
00:58:32If we are given an opportunity,
00:58:33We want to make the best use of this.
00:58:35Now, during Ramadan, we are also trying to reach children.
00:58:38Perhaps one of the most important moments of Ramadan.
00:58:41We prepared gifts like these throughout Ramadan.
00:58:43At the foundation, too, during Ramadan,
00:58:46If parents going to Tarawih prayers cannot take their children with them,
00:58:49We provided the opportunity through our foundation.
00:58:51Games for children,
00:58:53We're having fun.
00:58:54They are actually related to Islam,
00:58:59Regarding the Quran,
00:58:59related to hadith,
00:59:00related to our prophet,
00:59:02They can show what tiny things can accomplish in today's world.
00:59:07We have little comic books like this.
00:59:09Describing Şule Abla,
00:59:11Explaining Islam,
00:59:12They are doing it.
00:59:13Thanks.
00:59:13They can have a nice, fun time,
00:59:15We are trying to offer opportunities.
00:59:16Congratulations!
00:59:17May God keep you busy.
00:59:20Amine.
00:59:21May God accept your prayers.
00:59:21Professor, there's very little time left for Istanbul.
00:59:24until iftar time.
00:59:26There is certainly much to discuss.
00:59:28I can't get enough of your conversation either, though.
00:59:30Unfortunately, this brings our program to an end.
00:59:34We haven't had time to do it, sir.
00:59:36Thanks.
00:59:36That's the problem today too.
00:59:37We were too busy setting it up to actually do it.
00:59:39We were too busy talking about it to find the time to do it.
00:59:41We need to get down to business, sir.
00:59:43But at least we have time to pray, sir.
00:59:46Hallelujah.
00:59:47Yes, there is very little time left until iftar in Istanbul now.
00:59:52We kindly request your prayers until the call to prayer (Adhan) is recited.
00:59:57Thank you again.
00:59:58Thank you for your support.
00:59:59Thank you.
01:00:00Thank you for everything, professor.
01:00:01May God bless you.
01:00:02Let me explain very briefly, sir.
01:00:04The prayers of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) are not formulaic prayers.
01:00:08He offers a prayer whenever he faces any difficulty.
01:00:11She would pray about him.
01:00:13Sir, we generally recite standardized prayers.
01:00:16We also gather together prayers that are offered at many different times.
01:00:19However, our Prophet's prayers are very short.
01:00:21I'll look into it; I'd like to say two short prayers.
01:00:23So, two prayers from the mouth of our Prophet.
01:00:25Hopefully, those who are watching that prayer will also say amen.
01:00:29Allahumma yessirlana kullal asir.
01:00:32Fe inne teysîrel asîri aleyke yessîr.
01:00:35O Lord of the worlds.
01:00:36Make all our difficulties easy, O Lord.
01:00:40Amine.
01:00:40O Lord, our brothers and sisters who are watching and listening to us right now are going through difficulties.
01:00:45O Lord, grant them solutions that will help them overcome these difficulties.
01:00:50Amine.
01:00:51It is easy for You, O Lord, to make difficulties easy.
01:00:54We are unable to overcome the difficulties.
01:00:55The world is heading in that direction.
01:00:58We seek refuge in You, O Lord.
01:01:00We trust in You, Lord.
01:01:01We believe in You, Lord.
01:01:03We entrust our troubles to You, O Lord.
01:01:05O Lord of all creation, be the remedy for our troubles.
01:01:07Amine.
01:01:08May Allahumma ahsente halqana fe hassîn hlukana.
01:01:11Oh Lord, how beautifully you created us.
01:01:14You dressed us so beautifully.
01:01:16Our bodies, our faces, our hair, our eyes.
01:01:19How beautifully you have created, O Lord.
01:01:21Just as You have created us so beautifully, O Lord, beautify our character as well.
01:01:26O Lord, beautify our morals as well.
01:01:28O Lord, beautify our morals as well.
01:01:31He's a good believer, a good Muslim, but his morals aren't good.
01:01:35Keep us far away from those who are being listened to, from those who are being listened to, O Lord.
01:01:39Amine.
01:01:40Amine.
01:01:41Amine.
01:01:41Lord of the worlds.
01:01:42Yes sir, what a lovely stream it was.
