05:09gonna be a lot of trinkets on that one oh okay well there's lots of cobwebs that's good that means
05:16maybe has not been touched in a long time there are a ton of small boxes stacked up which tells
05:24me that there might be some little treasures and trinkets in there oh it's a dirty dusty one I got
05:32a nice watch between a dryer set there but looks like a whole lot of Christmas back there a whole
05:36lot of Halloween here I don't like to buy Halloween stuff it only sells certain times of the year not
05:40mine
05:42you know what you see old TVs means like it means it might have some collectible VHS and some old
05:47video games it's for surely a single it could be a triple though price the price doesn't matter
05:54all right don't let them know that I found so many dead cats in my unit yesterday like meow meows
06:02yeah
06:02there was one in like embalming fluid in a jar there was a skeleton there was like so
06:10many things of ashes then they had like a bunch of cat stuffed animals and a bunch of cat statues
06:17and
06:17a bunch of like just pictures of cats and all of the cats there was a unit full of I
06:23was just like
06:24it was crazy after that story I don't want to buy any more lockers or cats wow it's a good
06:34thing I'm
06:35having a good day because I don't see anything right out of the gate I mean there might be some
06:38cool
06:38vintage items but I don't think this is for me so I'm gonna let somebody like Ivy have it because
06:44I'm in a good mood and getting dusty does not sound beautiful to me oh oh Dusty can have it
06:49too you
06:49know I forgot they were here anybody can have it why you let them carry around the baseball he says
06:55we're doing a home run today he'd be saying a lot of stuff don't he never trust a man that
06:58wears the
06:59socks inside of sandals all right I gotta be gonna have a 25 unit dust we trust here we go

07:13what about two what about two oh f*** jumping in swimming what about two hundred I got two two three
07:16three four four
07:17hundred and ten percent in baseball you gotta give a hundred and ten percent but for this auction I
07:46I only need 30.
07:48Don't remember what they say,
07:58scared money don't make money.
08:02Woo, you got it, Dusty!
08:07Oh, Dusty Balls.
08:09I think that's a foul ball.
08:10Your mouth is a foul ball, Ivy, nobody cares.
08:13Matter of fact, I think you forgot the bat.
08:15I'm out there playing in the World Series.
08:18Ivy, he's still in the minors.
08:20You know what?
08:21I think this is a unit I was dreaming about.
08:23Really?
08:23I think you got it.
08:24All right. Right on. Good.
08:25Good.
08:26No hobo clowns inside?
08:34Here we go. Five by ten.
08:36Oh, wow.
08:37Oh, okay.
08:38A lot of dust.
08:39A lot of dust.
08:40The way we like it.
08:43I know it's very dusty, but it looks interesting.
08:45That's where the .
08:46I mean, I like these boxes, though.
08:48They usually have hats.
08:49Yeah, those are some hat boxes.
08:50You know what the problem is, though?
08:51There's not very much stuff in here.
08:53Well, the little you see is interesting.
08:55Yeah, the little you see is interesting.
08:58Ooh, got a poor granny cart.
08:59Take your time, but hurry up.
09:01How do you see anything underneath all the dirt?
09:03I thought that was mud.
09:05I like that duster right there.
09:06Dusters are pretty expensive sometimes.
09:09Ooh, you know what a duster is?
09:10I do.
09:11Ooh, I'm surprised.
09:12I'm...
09:13I'm country.
09:14Okay, and what do you like?
09:15The Power Wheels quad back there,
09:17that I just put ice cold beer in.
09:18Okay, and then what?
09:20Nothing else.
09:20That's it, huh?
09:21That's it.
09:21What do you like?
09:25Putting on my rose-colored glasses.
09:28Hit me up when you find something you like.
09:30Uh, you know, I don't want to leave here
09:32without getting one today.
09:33I was so optimistic this morning.
09:35Sometimes there are good things in these dirty units.
09:38There are some boxes, a couple of totes.
09:41If it doesn't go for much, I'm gonna try a bit on it.
09:44Just like my Uncle Scooby used to say about dating,
09:47if you want to score, sometimes you gotta go ugly early.
09:51Mary, perfect Texas unit right here.
09:54Those look like some cool chairs back there.
09:57Very antique-y.
09:58But I'm looking for trinkets.
10:00And the trinkets that I do see
10:02are not what I'm looking for.
10:03This looks like a dirty old man's unit.
10:06So, no, unfortunately, not what I'm looking for.
10:11All righty, here we go.
10:12Nice little dusty unit.
10:13What are you gonna pay for this one?
10:16Five by ten.
10:16I okay first.
10:16One, one, you can get $100 right there.
10:18We've got $100 and a half.
10:19One stroll where, $100 and $150, going once, $99,
10:21$414 even though.
10:231你在, $75, $75, $75.
10:26In two and a half with $250 now!
10:33I got $2.25.
10:40Brandy!
10:41$2.25.
10:44Brandy!
10:44If I find something cool in there.
10:46She will.
10:47I know you want to ride that quad.
10:50Lock it up.
10:51Let's go.
10:52That might have been the one I was dreaming about.
10:54Who knows?
10:56I couldn't wait to get started.
10:57So I snuck off to check out what this dusty locker has in store for me.
11:01Let's see what we got here.
11:02Oh, oh!
11:03It's always a good sign when the plastic bag disintegrates when you touch it
11:08Look at that baseball cards be like Renee and get rich. I've got 30 bucks in here
11:17These are eight track
11:20These are a little banged up
11:2520 bucks. Oh
11:30What do I can do?
11:33I hit myself in the face. That's what I could do
11:38Game boy these are actually super flexible right now hundred bucks. Oh
11:44Hold on hold on excuse me in a page. Oh, this is my mom
11:51All kinds of ugly hats look at that. Oh wow, that's fun
12:03$20 in hats pack and play
12:08$40 for the pack and play for sure
12:14Hold on
12:21That is 18 karat gold gold is up really high right now, so I probably get a hundred bucks for
12:27that
12:30Hold on we're just looking for gold now. Where's the money barkis? Where's the money?
12:34Come on. Where's the jewelry box?
12:37Well, I have no gold digger, but I am definitely digging for gold in here somewhere
12:43Oh, oh, oh, hold on
12:47jewelry box
12:49Look at this
12:51That's gold and that's gold and that's gold
12:56That is not gold. It's cheap
12:59Pair gold earrings. Okay more gold very exciting a lot of gold in here at least $2.50 this gold
13:08just paid for my locker
13:09We're almost done
13:11One box away you guys. There's money in here
13:20$18 and
13:2147 cents
13:24See pays to be positive
13:27All right magic eight ball
13:29Should I go buy another locker?
13:32All signs point to yes
13:35All right another good locker on the way
13:37Laura, where you guys at?
13:4210 by 15
13:45All right now
13:46When it's in shrink wrap it might not be crap
13:52There are wardrobe boxes there's like three on this side
13:57There is clothes in them. I do like this kind of room. Sometimes they have things inside of them
14:05Stop it. You can't get it. You can't get it.
14:07You can't poke. You can't scratch
14:09His leg was twitchy
14:11Sorry, I had a muscle spasm Danny. I can't help it
14:14I do need a new fridge, but not that one. She ain't the one
14:19Everything's clean and wrapped up, but it's all very old furniture
14:22Yeah, if I'm staging someone's granny's house, I definitely should buy this
14:27But I'm not
14:28It's not for me
14:30But this definitely might sell at grandma's attic
14:35Grandma's attic
14:36You want stuff? We got stuff
14:37Occasionally open in Palmdale
14:39American auctioneers
14:41Cheers
14:42This is actually very very expensive furniture right here
14:45Looks like there's a bed
14:46Refrigerator is about the only thing old in here
14:48There's an old saying people who take pride in their stuff
14:51Often have very good stuff
14:52I might go off that theory today
14:54Yeah, I'm in
14:55That's it
14:56You surround wrap your stuff
14:57Take that much time
14:58Means you got something good
15:00There are a few boxes back there
15:02But they all look big
15:03Which tells me that
15:05There's not gonna be a lot of small little trinket treasures that I'm looking for
15:09So this one is a no-go
15:12This looks like grandma's attic
15:15Shoo, grandma's attic?
15:16Ain't never looked that clean
15:1810 by 15
15:19All right, I gotta make a nice
15:2010 by 15 apartment

16:55You got it, Ivy!
16:58Dusty, all you managed to do was postpone the inevitable.
17:02Ivy, I think this is a unit I was dreaming about.
17:05It's all right, Ivy, there's a lot of big cardboard boxes in there you can put under your leaky truck.
17:10Fooled everyone, I always go big.
17:19This could be the one you were dreaming about.
17:21Oh, here we are!
17:24Oh, wow!
17:25How big is that, a 10 by 24?
17:27Oh, yeah, no cattle.
17:31You know, it's like one of them small rooms that might have something.
17:34It's going to be a one-item special.
17:36It could be in the luggage, you don't know.
17:38But some stuff is broken.
17:40I mean, if you want stuff for the swap meet, maybe.
17:42It's got potential, it'll be.
17:44Max potential.
17:46There are these old brass thingies that go by the fireplace.
17:50Oh!
17:52Some skis, that's pretty cool.
17:54There are a few boxes back there that look vintage-y.
17:58There's three suitcases, and those are old school.
18:01So, there might be some treasures in here.
18:03If it's cheap, then I might bet on it.
18:07Oh, that's broken, but those terracotta pots are nice.
18:11Everyone has tires in their storage, and I don't know what that's all about.
18:14The tires don't look tired to me.
18:18Stop saying weird stuff.
18:20Are you okay today?
18:21I think it's lack of sleep.
18:22Is that what it is?
18:23Yeah.
18:24Keeping him up at night, Laura?
18:25Yeah.
18:26Dreams about clowns?
18:27Yeah.
18:28Um, I love these bamboo drapes, so, we'll see.
18:33It's clean.
18:34Easy clean out.
18:39It's a weird-looking sander or something right there.
18:41It almost looks like a miniature, multi-purpose knife that opens up and has pliers in it or
18:44something.
18:45Tires look like trailer tires right there.
18:47Ooh, nice pottery plant holders.
18:48Oh, maybe, uh, looks like we might have an old Christmas tree stand.
18:53That'd be worth something.
18:56All right, I got a big ol' nice hand-by-24 units.
18:59Start him in, set him down, and how much money?
19:01$100, sir.
19:01The board, it'll put one there.
19:02One and a quarter, $25.
19:03One and a quarter, a hundred and a half, $75.
19:05Sir?
19:05The board, it'll put one there.
19:07Now two.
19:07Two.
19:08One and a quarter, I got two and a quarter.
19:10Two and a half, 250.
19:11And 250, 75.
19:1275, now three.
19:13Are you three to eight?
19:14One and a three to eight.
19:14One and a three to eight.
19:15One and a three to three.
19:15One and a three there.
19:16Three and a quarter, 25.
19:17I got three and a bucks.
19:18Three and a half.
19:24How much are you?
19:25I'm out.
19:26That's what I thought.
19:27I got $3.25, $3.25, where?
19:30I got $3.25 now.
19:32$3.25, $3.25, $3.25, $3.25, $3.25, $3.25, $3.25, Mary!
19:36Oh, you got it!
19:37Lock it up, lock it up.
19:40This locker has knickknacks, trinkets, and profit!
19:48This is the sister unit.
19:50Do that, Brad.
19:51All right, here we go!
19:53Whoa!
19:53Whoa!
19:54Look at that.
19:59Mary, this is a sister to your brother unit.
20:02Okay.
20:03There are a few vintage stuff in here.
20:06Mannequins back there, those always go for at least $200.
20:09Looks like some vintage books, maybe some trinkets in these other three boxes.
20:14So, I don't know.
20:16I might bid on it if it's cheap.
20:18Well, I like the launchers.
20:20They're kind of cool looking.
20:21Yeah.
20:21And then people like tables.
20:23You ever lift one of these?
20:24They're so heavy.
20:25Nobody likes them.
20:26The only way you can go on that room is down.
20:30The patio chairs are nice.
20:32It's more terracotta pots.
20:33That's cool.
20:34Play badminton, you know, instead of pickleball.
20:37I don't know, it's clean.
20:39Let's see.
20:43You got enough chairs and tables for everybody at the whole entire auction to sit down and
20:47have a spot.
20:48Oh, pretty cool.
20:49Sledgehammer and railroad tie to do some blacksmithing right there.
20:52Badminton set.
20:53That's the best thing in here right now.
20:55Everything else is just who knows what.
20:58All right.
20:58We've got a big or nice unit.
20:59Here we go.
21:00Anybody going to pay for this money?
21:01How much?
21:02How much money?
21:02Five dollars.
21:03Five dollars.
21:04I got five.
21:04What if it's 25?
21:05Yeah.
21:0745.
21:0845.
21:08What if it's 65?
21:1075.
21:11Why is she trying to steal Mary's sister?
21:13How friendship fades so fast.
21:2090, 105 to 105.
21:21105 to 105.
21:23115 to 125.
21:24135.
21:24135.
21:25145.
21:26Get mad.
21:26You don't even get back.
21:271- gum around.
21:29185.
21:30How friendship fades so fast.
21:32175.
21:32185.
21:33185.
21:34Don't look at them.
21:35Lordez this!
21:35185.
21:351905.
21:36205.
21:37205.
21:37Um.
21:38205.
21:38Nathan and Track.
21:39I got $195, $205 going once, $195, $205 going twice, $100 call, and do you tell you, $205 an act?
21:46So that's the way, Brandy got it for $195, Brandy.
21:49You got it, Brandy.
21:50Two lockers and one beautiful day.
21:52Everything's coming up, Brandy.
21:54Folks, that's the end of the auction, and don't forget to pay the lady, everyone.
21:57See you in the office.
21:59You know, Danny, that might have been the unit I was dreaming about.
22:09This is what $900 gets you.
22:14Don't open these until you get ready to go home, because if it's bad inside like some three-month-old
22:20turkey, you're going to know about it the whole time you load.
22:22Let's get this bed out the way.
22:24This is a nice-looking bed.
22:26Looks like all walnut.
22:27I don't see the headboard yet.
22:29This is definitely the footboard.
22:32Oh, look how nice it is.
22:34Wow.
22:35It might even be mahogany or something.
22:37Oh, here it is.
22:39I knew she was in there.
22:40The only disappointment is that it looks like it's a queen.
22:45Queens don't sell as good as king size.
22:48So we got a complete bed with no dents, no scratches, wrapped in plastic.
22:52Woo!
22:53$300.
22:54Okay.
22:55One of my most favorite things ever to find in units.
22:58Sit this at the end of your bed.
23:00Perfect height.
23:02Ah, watch this.
23:04If you got a big old fat belly, you don't got to bend over far, reach down, put on your
23:08socks.
23:08Mess with your phone a little bit.
23:10Hurry up and get out of the bathroom, woman.
23:12I got to go.
23:13Shoot.
23:14Being that this is in immaculate condition, $200.
23:17Another nice TV stand.
23:19Wow.
23:19Look at the condition of all this furniture.
23:22$350.
23:23Oh, oh, oh, oh.
23:25Yes, sir.
23:25Rebob.
23:27Here we go.
23:27Oh.
23:29Different kind of chest.
23:31Ah.
23:32Right here could be all my unit paid for in one.
23:36Bam.
23:37I guess this is a drinker.
23:38I guess you put your cigars or something in there, and you can put three, four shots in there.
23:43Wow, that's pretty.
23:44I found a lot of trunks in my day.
23:46But these trunks, being that they're miniature, cool shape, so much detail, so clean, tells me
23:51that there's something about these trunks that I just don't know.
23:53And when I don't know something, the rule is, find somebody who do.
23:57You guys, hold tight.
23:58We're going to find out a little bit more about you.
24:02Oh, another baby trunk.
24:04Come on, be some jewelry.
24:05Come on, be some jewelry.
24:06Wow.
24:07Yes, it is.
24:08All righty.
24:09Let's see.
24:10That's gold there.
24:11That's gold there.
24:13Silver there.
24:14Well, not the best jewelry, not the worst.
24:16This whole entire pile right here, $200 worth of jewelry.
24:20Well, ooh, what we got here?
24:21I know this is a bench and a piano.
24:25Ah.
24:27Ah.
24:36Nice.
24:37Some people like to tickle the ivory.
24:39I like to tickle the ivies.
24:42Ah-ha.
24:43$400.
24:44Well, let's get to these clothes.
24:46Got about 10 or 12 boxes.
24:49And clothes it is.
24:51I don't deal in too much clothes.
24:52They don't sell very good at Grandma's Attic, so I pretty much just toss them aside and move
24:56on to what does.
24:57But you know what?
24:58I know who does.
25:01Dusty!
25:02Lupe!
25:07Lupe!
25:10That's the voice I used to call Ivy Jr. home with when he was a kid.
25:13Never fails.
25:15Dusty!
25:16Yeah?
25:17This way.
25:17You called?
25:19I called.
25:19Whoa, you got some clothes.
25:21Check it out.
25:21Y'all loved them clothes.
25:23Wow.
25:25It looks like you have a lot of skirts, a lot of dress clothes.
25:29Hats.
25:30I love hats.
25:32This high would look good on you.
25:33Here's some shoes.
25:35Wow.
25:36You had some good stuff, so what are you thinking?
25:45$300.
25:47What about with the jewelry?
25:49Deal.
25:51What are you doing?
25:52I like the stuff.
25:55I call that an inside the park home run for Ivy.
25:59The last part of the deal is, Dusty, open that fridge.
26:20Oh, my God.
26:22Oh, my God.
26:22Why, bro?
26:24Not clean fridge? 50 bucks.
26:26You loading it and taking it home? Priceless.
26:30I can smell it, Al.
26:32I'm going to lunch.
26:34Lupe set us back 300 bucks buying those clothes from Ivy.
26:38It's time to come out swinging.
26:43Let's see what $1,500 gets us in Moreno Valley.
26:48It looks like housewares, though.
26:49Bunch of Pyrex bowls and stuff. 20 bucks for all that.
26:52Good.
26:54That's cool.
26:55Glass punch bowls. 10 bucks.
26:57Oh, it's so heavy!
26:59This is an older one.
27:01Everybody loves a blow mold.
27:03It looks like a 60s or 1970s.
27:05Looks like it's one of the ones made by Empire.
27:07It's probably at least 100 bucks.
27:09Nice!
27:09And it'll sell in like 32.3 seconds of coming off the truck
27:13at any flea market.
27:14Could I go in the front yard for a little bit?
27:16Sure.
27:16Okay.
27:18There you go.
27:19What is it?
27:20It's a clock.
27:21Okay.
27:21Look how cool this is, though.
27:22All the little mosaic rocks.
27:23At a good antique show, we could ask 100 bucks for this.
27:27All right.
27:28This looks like kitchen, bathroom, all mixed.
27:32$10.
27:33Moving on.
27:34Look.
27:35Jingle bells.
27:35A bunch of brand new dishes.
27:3830 bucks.
27:39Lupe, even with these terrible boxes, one thing I learned in this business is you can just dollar
27:44your way to paradise.
27:46You can also penny your way to purgatory.
27:48This thing's actually pretty cool.
27:50This is a kaleidoscope.
27:51You should try it.
27:52It's really cool.
27:54Ooh.
27:55What do you see in there, Lupe?
27:56Regret for buying this unit?
27:58It's like you're looking on a microscope at the drums.
28:0130 bucks.
28:02Well, you know what?
28:03I got a five-disc CD changer.
28:04What's special about that?
28:06Absolutely nothing.
28:07Guess what?
28:08I got a pillow.
28:09Oh, it's a KitchenAid.
28:10Ooh, this is good.
28:11Looks brand new.
28:12This is at least 200.
28:14Well, you know what, Lupe?
28:15I got $50 in stereo equipment right here.
28:20Ooh.
28:21I found Pokemon cards.
28:23Now we're talking.
28:23Let me see.
28:24I don't know anything about Pokemon.
28:25Oh, these are the older ones.
28:27Is that good?
28:28I mean, it's better.
28:29There's at least 300 in Pokemon.
28:31I went from playing in the World Series to trading B-rate Pokemon cards.
28:35This really is a brutal game.
28:38It said hamper, but it's just full of, uh...
28:43Lupe, I think this sums up our whole locker.
28:47Crap.
28:48I wish I could just wipe this locker clean.
28:50That would take a lot of toilet paper.
28:54Man.
28:56I don't want to buy any lockers for at least two days after this.
29:00No.
29:01Actually, I lied.
29:01I want to go buy a locker as fast as possible.
29:04Really?
29:05A good one.
29:05I need a reboost.
29:06Well, you never know.
29:07I could find $10 in a purse.
29:09Oh.
29:17Wait a second.
29:20Stupid.
29:21Yeah.
29:24Time to work it out with my sister from another mister.
29:27Got it.
29:27My excavator from another master.
29:31Never mind.
29:32Let's get started.
29:37All right.
29:38All right.
29:42All right.
29:42All right.
29:43Well, these pots are great.
29:44I mean, who doesn't love a terracotta?
29:46$100 for the three of those.
29:49Ooh.
29:49What are these blue rims?
29:51Those are cool.
29:53Looks like there's pretty good tread on them.
29:55$100 for all four.
29:56So this being put up against the fireplace to keep all the embers out.
30:01These both are vintage.
30:02From the cloth feet, you can tell.
30:04So this piece in the brass, I'm going to say $100.
30:07Lots of crafty in here.
30:10The toolbox is cool.
30:11Probably get $40 for that.
30:12Wow.
30:13What in the Buffalo Bill is going on here?
30:16Why does everyone have wigs?
30:17Wigs, heads, and headstands.
30:19Probably have $200 in wigs.
30:22Oh.
30:22So sorry, Tammy.
30:23I didn't mean to throw you on the ground.
30:25Mm-hmm.
30:26Adhesive spray.
30:28She was a crafty lady.
30:30Here we go.
30:31I feel like I need this.
30:34Business is good.
30:35Business is good.
30:38Blueprint for living.
30:40Oh.
30:41Jesus is the way.
30:43Ooh.
30:44Two of me.
30:45The struggle with sin.
30:46It's in here with Jesus.
30:48That makes sense.
30:50I wonder if Mary's locker is as holy as mine.
30:53This is the Christmas tree.
30:55This one's already set up and ready to go.
30:5820 bucks.
30:59Okay.
31:00Cute.
31:00Vintage ornaments.
31:01I can use these for my Christmas wreaths.
31:04My friend Ginny and I have been making all these Christmas wreaths,
31:07which we're going to sell on maryspines.com.
31:10maryspines.com
31:11Now with wreaths.
31:14Because last year I did it and they did very well.
31:18So this is actually perfect.
31:19Another 50 bucks in supplies.
31:22Those are some big heavy tables.
31:25And there are...
31:28Seven.
31:30Seventh heaven.
31:31A hundred bucks in tables.
31:33Oh.
31:35Hey, lady.
31:37Keep it down over there.
31:39Geez.
31:42How's it going over there?
31:43Super fantastic.
31:45Have you made your money back yet?
31:47I did.
31:48How about you?
31:49Yes.
31:50Chip-chipper-oo to the both of us.
31:52It's Christmas over here.
31:54The Lord is on my side over here for sure.
31:57Ooh.
31:58Here's some lights.
31:59A box of lights of ten bucks.
32:01Ooh.
32:02What are these?
32:07These are for some serious snow.
32:10Oh my gosh.
32:11So cool.
32:12Looks like legit leather.
32:14I think they're for walking in the snow.
32:17Oh.
32:17More of these.
32:18What?
32:19Old school snow boots.
32:22Oh.
32:23And they have the sticks that go with them.
32:25Wow.
32:25These are so cool.
32:27They're what?
32:27Three sets of these guys.
32:29This one looks a little bit more modern.
32:31It's made of metal.
32:32The newer version and the older version.
32:35I mean, I think maybe I need to get these checked out.
32:37Because they look old.
32:38They're for sure vintage.
32:39Looks like these were handmade.
32:41I have no idea how much they're worth.
32:42But I think they're for sure worth something.
32:45So I can't wait to see what these are all about.
32:48All right.
32:49Patio.
32:49It's just two chairs and the table, but there's no rust.
32:52Just clean this layer of dust off of them.
32:54And I get $40.
32:58And I think that's the end of the value in here.
33:02All in all, I had fun.
33:05It's a good day.
33:07Got to run into Mary.
33:09Picking up.
33:10Oh my gosh.
33:11So cute.
33:12What is so cute?
33:13I love these mittens.
33:15Look how cute these are, Brandi.
33:17So vintage, old school cute.
33:19Which is it?
33:20Vintage or old school?
33:21Both.
33:22Okay.
33:24Did you find some treasures?
33:25Well, I got lots of Christmas stuff.
33:27Which I've been making Christmas wreaths.
33:29So it's actually perfect.
33:31You've been making wreaths?
33:32Uh-huh.
33:33How very merry of you.
33:34Yes.
33:36Christmassy.
33:37All right.
33:37I'm going to scoot on out of here.
33:39It was good to see you.
33:40Yeah.
33:40Good to see you.
33:41I'll see you.
33:42Yes.
33:43Yeah.
33:43We'll hang out while you're here.
33:44Okay, for sure.
33:45Let's get drunk.
33:48So, the snow stuff.
33:50Growing up in Texas.
33:51I don't know much about snow.
33:53But I'm excited to find out more.
33:55And all this stuff that I got, I made my money back.
33:58So, couldn't be happier.
34:00Win and a win.
34:07Melissa's.
34:08All right.
34:09It's the right place.
34:10If anyone knows how to check a box, it's my friend and antiquer Melissa Levinson.
34:14Here's hoping they're worth a trip.
34:20Melissa.
34:21Hey, Ivy.
34:22Well, I got the stuff I told you I was bringing.
34:24Those are fabulous.
34:25Little one and a big one.
34:27Which one do you want?
34:28Let's look at the big one first.
34:29All right.
34:31Check this out.
34:32Let's see what we got here.
34:33Well, they're antique tea caddies.
34:35They were used to store tea back in the late 18th century.
34:40So, these are both lovely examples of Regency.
34:44The Regency boxes were usually done in mahogany, sometimes kingwood, and rosewood.
34:51May I please see that one?
34:53Oh, man.
34:53I know.
34:54I know.
34:54I'm asking a lot here.
34:56This is a sarcophagus shape, which is coffin.
35:01Ooh.
35:01Yeah.
35:02Right?
35:02I don't like that one already.
35:03Around that time, Napoleon traveled to Egypt, and the Europeans became really into Egyptology.
35:12So, you'll see a lot of the sarcophagus shape.
35:17This is called a triple tea caddy, because there are three compartments.
35:23These held the tea, and this would have held the sugar.
35:27They called it a mixing bowl.
35:29Everything looks original and intact.
35:33There was some keys in one of them.
35:34There are actually the two original keys in this.
35:37With a little tassel.
35:38Yes.
35:39Which is a great detail.
35:41Now, nobody uses these, of course, anymore to store tea.
35:45They're decorative boxes.
35:46They're beautiful.
35:47I have my collection of tortoiseshell boxes.
35:49I've had these for 25 years.
35:52They're 200 years old, and the sea turtles are extremely endangered.
35:57So, you can't sell these.
35:59You can own them, but you certainly can't transport them in and out of the country.
36:0425 years ago, I paid $5,000 for this tortoiseshell tea caddy.
36:11And if they're in this kind of condition, they're known to go up to $20,000 for a tea caddy.
36:20All right, let's get down to business.
36:22I want to know what these bad boys are worth.
36:24Okay.
36:26Let's discuss this one first.
36:29This one, it's done in a beautiful flame mahogany.
36:34With the key.
36:35With the key.
36:35It's the triple compartment with the center.
36:40Whoops.
36:41There's the extra key.
36:43With the keys.
36:45The keys.
36:46There are two keys with beautiful detailing around the lids.
36:51It's very handsome, and it's very heavy.
36:53You can feel the quality in this box.
37:00I want to know what these bad boys are worth.
37:03I think that you could fetch $350.
37:12That's what I thought it'd be.
37:14Okay.
37:14Then we have the smaller box here.
37:16The sarcophagus.
37:17The sarcophagus.
37:18Mm-hmm.
37:19It's a fruit wood box, beautiful shape, original brass handles.
37:25It has the original lids, and the detailing's exquisite.
37:31It is in excellent condition.
37:35Really beautiful.
37:37A little more collectible than this one.
37:41I would put this at a price of $650.
37:50$1,000 for the two?
37:51$1,000 for the pair.
37:53Ain't nothing like a good old grand on a hard day's work.
37:55Absolutely.
37:56Thank you, thank you.
37:57Oh, thank you.
37:57Guess what I'm going to go do.
37:58You're going to go buy some tea.
38:00Nope.
38:01Make me a grand.
38:01Oh!
38:03So you're going to become a tea connoisseur.
38:05I am.
38:06A tea connoisseur.
38:15Greeny and I are driving to the Mountain High Ski Resort
38:18to get this snow stuff checked out.
38:21I drove all the way to Cali.
38:24Well, it's a few more miles on the odometer.
38:27Hi.
38:28Brandy, Mary.
38:29How you girls doing?
38:30Good.
38:30We got the stuff.
38:32All right.
38:33Look at this.
38:34What is that here?
38:35Yes.
38:35We got all kinds of stuff.
38:36Wow, all right.
38:37How you doing?
38:38Great.
38:38How about you girls?
38:39Cold.
38:41Well, that's incredible.
38:42Let's take a look.
38:43These look amazing.
38:45These look terrific.
38:46Okay.
38:47And we've got some poles here as well.
38:49Yep.
38:50Look at these guys.
38:51These look a little bit newer.
38:53Oh, yeah.
38:54With the metal.
38:54With the metal aluminum.
38:55That's to make it a little bit stronger,
38:57a little lighter, more durable.
38:58Okay.
38:59Okay.
38:59Those are great.
39:00These are really interesting, though.
39:01These are just for art.
39:03Like, these don't have foot straps on them and probably wouldn't be too usable.
39:06Do you think somebody used those, but there's no longer straps and they became decorative?
39:10That's my assumption.
39:11Yeah, there needs to be something on here to attach it to the foot, and that's been lost
39:15to time.
39:16How old do you think they are?
39:17These probably look like they're the oldest of the bunch.
39:20I would say 1940s.
39:21Okay.
39:22These other two, these are the newest of the three.
39:26This is leather right here, not rawhide like that might be.
39:29But these are actually in really good condition.
39:31I would venture to say these have never been used.
39:33Nice.
39:34You might have a brand new pair on your hands.
39:35Wow.
39:36And maybe they're on someone's wall for a while.
39:38But these could be used right now if you want to take them out and try them out.
39:40Sure.
39:41These could definitely work.
39:42Saddle up, Mary.
39:43Okay.
39:44I mean, would somebody use these that are this large?
39:46They seem awfully awkward.
39:47Believe it or not, the bigger the better.
39:49When you're in deep snow, it's the size of the footprint that actually displaces your
39:52weight, and that's what makes it easier for you to kind of stay on top of the snow.
39:56And if you're interested, this is what modern day snowshoes look like.
39:59So quite a bit different.
40:00This is what someone would use here for hunting and mountain climbing these days.
40:03These are light, easy to just strap on your backpack and carry them up.
40:07So if you're ever doing any winter exploring, this is what you'd see in someone's back.
40:10I'm not much of a winter explorer.
40:12I prefer sunshine and sand.
40:15We're in Southern California, so believe it or not, the ocean is an hour and a half that
40:19way, and the Mojave Desert's about 30 minutes that way.
40:22So we're right in the middle at 8,000 feet.
40:24Such a cool state, California.
40:26You can go anywhere, you know?
40:27Go to the beach, go to the desert, go to the snow.
40:31Typical Californian.
40:32Never stops talking about how cool California is.
40:37Okay, so what do you think for the total of all these guys?
40:40Well, yeah.
40:41Money.
40:41We want to talk about money now.
40:42We've got four sets of snowshoes here.
40:44Three of them are definitely usable, although these two might be best on the wall.
40:48We've got two sets of poles here.
40:51I'd say you're probably looking at around $550.
40:56What?
40:57Okay.
40:58That's great.
40:59You can buy me dinner.
41:00Yes.
41:01All right, well, we've got snowshoes, we've got snow.
41:03Let me go for a hike.
41:04Yes.
41:05Sounds super.
41:06Ivy Calvin hooted and hollered his way to a victorious $1,800.
41:16Mary Padian was California Dreamin' amassing $600 in profit.
41:23Brandy Basante made a beautiful $538.47.
41:30And it was a big swing and a miss for Dusty and Lupe, who were sent back to the miners.
41:39It's our friendship time.
41:42Fringe of the snowshoes.
41:43Oh, my God.
41:45You bitch.
41:48These snowshoes are working pretty well.
41:50These work like a chomp.
41:51You guys are doing great.
41:52Yeah.
41:53Look at us.
41:53We didn't even fall.
41:55I know.
41:59Whoa!
42:01Whoa!
42:01Whoa!
42:03Whoa!
42:09Nope.
42:12That's why we need snowshoes.
42:14All right.
42:15Snow angels.
42:15Let's go.
42:18This is why I miss California.
42:20Definitely no way to make snow angels in Texas.
